I ordered takeout from this Yard House location recently. I ordered Chicken Tenders. When placing my order I was asked if I wanted a sauce. I said I wanted ranch. It took a while for my order to be ready. When I received my food, I noticed there was no sauce in my bag. I told a staff member about the missing sauce and when they returned with some they told me the order usually doesn't come with sauce. I was a bit annoyed as when I placed my order I had been asked if I wanted sauce. The chicken tenders were okay. They were small in size. read more

Me and a group of friends came here yesterday for the football and dodger game. We were immediately greeted by Cierra (or Sierra, I hope I'm spelling her name right) and she was on top of everything. We ordered both happy hour and non-happy hour food/drink items and she took very good care of us from start to finish. Despite it being a very busy Thursday, our food not only came out quick, but it tasted great with the portion sizes being perfect! Me and my group were there for a long time but Cierra consistently made sure we were well taken care of and not forgotten about. HAPPY HOUR, HAPPY HOUR, HAPPY HOUR! One of the best, if not THE best, around. The food is delish, the beer choices are fantastic. Hate parking at The Paseo. 90 minutes free (with validation) is not enough to enjoy this HH. However, there are lots of chargers for EV's, (including Tesla Superchargers), and the price is reasonable. When my car is done charging, I leave my drink, get my car, leave the secondary parking lot where the chargers are and go back into the main lot, thereby getting another 90 minutes. I like to think of myself as frugal but you may think of me as a cheap bastard. We're both right! read more

Whatever The Yard House is doing in hiring their bartenders, please don't stop. I have visited many restaurant chains and you can expect that every once in a while, their going to have a bad night. Not The Yard House and certainly not the Pasadena location. We had been to the Pasadena Playhouse and wanted to grab a glass of wine and perhaps an appetizer. I knew that they had Happy Hour late 10 PM to Close so we decided to stop by. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the Happy Hour was for the drinks portion of the menu but not their appetizers. We came back! I encouraged my husband to try the Jambalaya because it was good! However, today the Jambalaya was so creamy that it was satiating! We also loved the Fillet Mignon but there's something wrong- the meat smells funny that it's nauseating. We only ate a third of the meat.The Server snd Manager were really nice! The Manager took it off the bill even when we said that they didn't have to because we just want them to be aware. Cons: I had the kale salad with shrimp, and it was barely passable. My friend had a philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was terrible, fake cheese product, had nothing but meat and cheese "product" on bread, and made him sick the rest of the day and night. The staff was friendly, and it was great to watch a few of the servers having each others back if they seemed overwhelmed. My critique is food based and it's obviously a personal opinion, but it just wasn't good, Ata ll. The nachos had an untasty red sauce that they used, if it was supposed to be a salsa it was not. It was more like a pizza sauce or a thinned out tomato paste. The onion rings cold. The BBQ salad was fair, but thats something pretty hard to mess up. Love your house. Specially, their house blonde. Their Korean style steak is amazing. Usually I share it with my boyfriend and we have a bunch of appetizers. Staff is good services speedy and it's a great place for kids. They keep distracted with that tablet they have on each table wish it was free though. read more

This is my second time at a Yard House, but the first time being at this Pasadena location. This location was nice and fairly clean, but the one in Concord in Northern CA was a bit better. I ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and it was 6.5/10 good, I have had much better from other places. What I did enjoy was I asked for the Chipotle Ranch for the side of fries and that was worth eating. The service was alright, nothing spectacular. Overall 7/10 location. If you do go and park in a garage, this place validates parking but only to a certain amount of money (I think $5). read more

We went to the bar there was no chairs so we waited, we saw this couple and we ask if there were leaving they said yes. So we where getting ready to sit this lady in her hospital scrubs comes running saying she was first like omg idk we were saving seats. But there was single seats in between. The bartender said that she was saving a seat for her, but obviously there was single seats everywhere.,! But she didn't want to sit in between people, which is ridiculous. Did not plan to come during their happy hour but they have a great menu with a variety of food from appetizers, salad, steak, seafood and wide range of beers. 3.6 stars Decided to come here for Happy Hour since they have a decent selection of appetizers/food. I got the Calamari ($7), Sliders ($6.75), and a Mango Cart beer ($5.99). The Calamari came with 2 sauces - both were supposed to be spicy, but honestly, it didn't have much heat. I only remember the jalapeno tartar sauce since that turned out to be my favorite sauce. Sliders were pretty standard and very filling. I had leftovers to take home. Portion sizes were decent for the price. So, I do this thing where I try to convince myself to like beer by getting a fruity beer or something flavored. And, I have to say, that I still don't like beer... Mango Cart had an appetizing mango fragrance, but still...hard no... Beer to me is like a salty, savory grain soda. This is one of my favorite restaurants!! Their wait time even when buy tends to be quick, I went on a Friday night and got my family seated in 15 minutes. The food is absolutely STELLAR! I've gotten several different meals here (tacos, burgers, Thai pork, ect) and they've all been great. The atmosphere is definitely upbeat and it can be quite noisy when they're busy, but it doesn't take away from the experience in my opinion. When they're less busy, the atmosphere is great too. The House IPA is my go-to beer. The food is just A-ok. We had the whiskey burger, which was new on the menu. I thought it was a little too salty for my taste. The service was ok. As for the reason, I only gave 3 stars, is that the food takes too long to get to our table. The server did apologize, though. We ordered a few appetizers in the beginning, and we waited too long for the food to arrive at our table. The other party got their food first before us, even though we ordered before them. It's been several years since I came to Yard House in Pasadena, so I checked on Yelp to see what the reviews are as I waited to get seated... it seemed like most of the complaints revolve around slow service. I expected the service to be slow but to my surprise, the service was great! Our server checked in on us multiple times, was really friendly, and brought things out super quickly. The food and ambiance is similar to what I remember. I think honestly, I would give this spot a solid 3.6 (the typical mediocre bar food, good service, okay ambiance). At this point, I would say the facility is definitely on the older side and you can feel it... and they need TV upgrades, lol, but otherwise a solid spot to hang out, grab a drink, and watch sports. It's tough to get a decent meal after 10pm in Pasadena. But, when all other places are closed, the yard house is open. The Yard House is one of the best restaurant chains out there. A great selection of beers on tap, and a large and varied menu. The food quality seems to be consistent no matter the location. Where else can you get Pizza, Tacos, Chinese Street Noodles with Shrimp, and a deliciously spicy bloody Mary! Been coming here for years. Happy Hour here nowadays is so so, prices are still pretty gosh darn high and the portion size decreased drastically. The portions were cut in half and the prices remain the same. I've always liked this particular Yard House. I used to live down the street from it and have always loved their happy hour. I've really enjoyed trying the different beer and decided the honey blonde was my favorite. Their food has always been on point and never disappoints. Now that I've moved far away, whenever I'm back in town, I still gravitate towards Yard House. I dunno, this one in particular just tastes better. My go-to order is the onion ring tower. It's dusted with parmesan. The onion to batter ratio is just right. A lot of the onion rings out there have just too much batter and not enough onion. I also really love the cheese curds. It's chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Another must order for me is the kale Cesar salad with chicken. The chicken usually is tender and not too dry as chicken breast sometimes can get. Overall still my favorite Yard House. Too bad I now live hours away from it. But whenever I get the chance to be in Pasadena, I will definitely be coming back! read more

I came to this Yard House with my family on mother's day. We ordered the vampire tacos, jambalaya, and chicken nachos. To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of American food, and this was no different. I thought the food was greasy, salty, and lacked depth in flavor. However, my family's all around favorites were the chicken nachos and the jambalaya. In addition, our server, Christian, was a delight. He was so kind, accommodating and even provided a free desert for mother's day, along with offering to take a photo. Five stars for the wonderful service. I tried to make a reservation ahead of time since I was driving 30 minutes to this location. The website said that for a party of 2, there is no wait list. Just to come on in to be seated. I came with the expectation of being seated and to be put on a wait list. I am 15th on this waitlist. Called and told them why the website said one thing and when I arrived i was waitlisted. I was told not to rely on the website and to always call. Seems counterproductive to even have a website that offers to be put on the waitlist. What a big fail and a waste of my time. read more

Came here for lunch with co-workers, and I couldn't find many "healthy" options that sounded particularly good to me. Cheesecake Factory and BJ's have a much wider selection of low-calorie entrees so maybe I was comparing too much. I went with the Mediterranean salmon which was somewhat lacking in flavor, despite the generous amount of sauce and the seasoning that the salmon was encrusted in. The cauliflower was not an appealing texture (but I'm also not a fan of cauliflower) and I wouldn't say I loved my meal. The food also took a while to come out (but there was not much of a lunch rush as we expected). It was my co-worker's birthday so we got a free crème brûlée cheesecake which was amazing. I would probably come back just to get more of it. If you can, walk to the restaurant. Parking is difficult here. read more
