Went for lunch located in Santana row. Got seated right away by a very friendly hostess. Never been during the day so weird to see it almost empty. Not a beer drinker but love the atmosphere seeing all the pipes overhead pumping the brew. Food was good and large portions. Able to share my plate . Great spot to grab lunch or dinner or even happy hour .
Late night eats didn't disappoint. I was a little surprised it was busy on 4th of July. People trickled in as the night went on. Wine was perfect. Rose and Pinot noir both get a thumbs up. Fish and chips was generous. Loved the two sauces that came with it. Burger was thick and filling. Atmosphere: Loud, videos from my era playing on the TV's and comfortable seating made it a casual down to earth experience with good food. Our server never came back to give us our bill so we had to flag someone down.
Yard house happy hour has to be one of my favorite places for happy hour. They have a good variety for cheap. Not only is the food good but it's a great place for any sporting event as they have TVs from every angle that there isn't one bad seat in the restaurant. For the happy hour I got the poke nachos and the mushroom pizza. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the pizza. The crust was super light and each bite was packed with flavor. The poke nachos were also a huge hit but I did notices some inconsistencies as some peoples poke nachos seemed to be alot more loaded than ours. However the wonton chips alone on the poke nachos were supper delicious and not too hard where it cuts up your mouth
Such a fun happy hour experience! Half off apps were totally worth it. If there's one thing you HAVE to get it's the chicken nachos. This was MASSIVE and so delicious. I personally also really enjoyed the fried calamari with spicy peppers. the poke nachos, and the lettuce chicken wraps. I would honestly skip on the pepperoni pizza though. They had $2 off beers which made for a great time! Our server was not exactly the most enthusiastic but pretty helpful and let us try lots of beer samples. Ambiance is just like any American restaurant/bar chain you'd stumble across.
Service was 5/5, even on a super busy night with a huge waitlist! Everything came out fresh and fast and our server was knowledgeable and super friendly! The margarita pizza didn't look like the one on their menu - way too cheesy for my liking and lacking tomatoes. The crust was also so puffy in places that it just crusted away so half the pizza was inedible. The beef bowl was surprisingly super tasty - just too salty and lacked rice. It was mostly vegetables, which were still great, but it definitely needs more starch. The chips and guac were fantastic! Warm chips and spicy guac - can't go wrong. Overall just mediocre. Would go again for happy hour.
We ate here on Friday evening. It was crowded and lively, as expected. We were a large party so we had to wait very long, even though we had a reservation. We ordered lobster garlic noodles, which is my absolute favorite meal. There's a perfect amount of garlic so that the noodles don't feel creamy and oily. We also ordered a truffle cheese burger and sweet potato fries. The burger has a typical flavor and the fries portion was small. My group tried the cheese curds and calamari. The calamari was alright. We'd probably skip the cheese curds. Overall, Yard House is a great restaurant. I would come back here if I'm eating with a small group.
I have been going here since I was a teenager and the consistency has been more or less the same. The food might've been much higher quality back then but overall the interior and service has always been at a good standard. I like the staff's responsiveness to seating especially during busy times. I usually go here for happy hour and get some apps and brews in my system. There is a lot of comfort food options although not the best for you health-wise still hits the spot.
We came around 7:30 on a weekday and there was a 10 minute wait, but it was worth it! We enjoyed most of our dishes and the good came out quickly. Taste: We tried a variety of ahi tuna dishes, nachos, chicken wings, brussels sprouts, calamari, and chicken dishes. My personal favorite was anything with tuna. Parking: There's a few parking gathers nearby and the first 2 hours is free. Service: Good
Great ambiance, typically nice and fast service. Unfortunatley, this place is only good for happy hour. If you go on regular hours, the food is over priced especially if you measure the quality to price ratio. Happu hour is a whole diffefent story, you will get the most bang for the buck. They do have a great beer selection, so its a big plus. Also drinking a half yard gives you a better experiemce.
We came here to watch the England vs Mexico game with a group of 9 people. The restaurant was packed and we loved the energy in the restaurant. Service was excellent despite it being such a busy evening. My favorite was the lemon pepper fried wings, the Margherita pizza, and the poke nachos. The fish and chips was also delicious because of the breading on the fish and the fish itself was perfect cooked. We also tried some of their grapefruit beer which I enjoyed immensely and also some of their cocktails with coconut. Overall they exceeded my expectations for both the food, service, and drinks. Excited to return and try their happy hour.
We visited for happy hour on a weekday. Service was fine. We sat at the bar. Ordered two drinks and some food too. Beer, Dragonfruit lemonade, Four cheese dip and Classic sliders. Everything was ok. Menu has lots of choices. It hit the cravings. But inside was a bit unclean. Private lot in mall.
I often go during happy hour which is 3-6pm so most appetizers are half off. Poke nachos are FIRE I eat 2 plates alone :). Don't recommend anything chicken as they tend to be burnt. Service is typically nice and you can order on the tablet so you don't have to flag your waiter down. It can get pretty hectic sometimes but honestly not bad for a quick cheap eat. The place is pretty big and loud.
Happy hour is amazing as usual! I love the spinach dip the most but the ahi tuna tower and calamari is yummy as well! The bar is first come first serve and the tables you may have to wait. Ginger ale is yum although some limes would be swell! Service is always nice.

I have seen this place many times but never have i stopped by. I finally had the opportunity to try it out and I had an amazing experience the staff members were amazing, it was pretty loud it was a Friday night. The food was delicious. Was also amazed how it was packed. Will be definitely coming back to try more items from menu. read more

Yard house is my go-to dinner and drink spot when I'm in downtown San Jose, I even enjoyed my birthday dinner here in March 2024. It's just a vibe, it's kinda dimly lit, demure almost with alternative music playing while you eat. At the table they have these tablets set up for you to play trivia games on while you wait for your food which is pretty cool & interactive. The dinner menu has some really tasty options, my favorite is the lobster garlic noodles! I like that they're always adding new fun and seasonal items to the menu! As far as drinks go, I really enjoy the Pink Dragon Margarita, it's really cool because they put the drink in a special glass & add smoke to it! It's mix of smokey/salty/sweet & unique! read more

Ambiance is great for a casual hangout with friends. It's pretty loud and lots of adult beverages. Services was decent. The appetizer dishes are really good. I love the onion towering and the poke nachos, so so good. However, the actual entrées were not good. We had the tacos and they were very mediocre for the price that they charged. We also had the blackened ahi sashimi, I really didn't like sauce sashimi came in and there was so much pepper on the tuna it was off putting. read more

Inconsistent steak, blah service. Ordered a mojito, and a filet mignon steak (medium), one of my companions ordered the same meal. My gripes: The steak was extremely well done and disintegrated (big gaping hole in the middle).I also noticed the potatoes had a crispiness from sitting in the pass through for a long time. The asparagus was thin (like spaghetti) and undercooked (totally different looking than my companions steak even) . The server didn't bring the drinks until about ~3 min before the food. My companion did not have cutlery. The server was simply not attentive. I sent back the steak, with no issue, the manager comped a dessert ( far less, than the $39.99 steak) , and was apologetic. They fired another steak (medium), but it came way after my companions finished their meal. Bummer. I interacted more with the manager than the server unfortunately. This was my first meal there, but I had high hopes. Background: I was a server at one point in my life , at a similar place. I understand it's a hard gig, but that IS the gig. The server was totally unaware. I left her a tip (22%), although the service was subpar. The leftovers from the next day were good. and prepared the way i ordered. I wish it was done right so I could enjoy my meal with my friends after a few years of not being able to. bummer read more

This has been my go to Burger Spot in the Bay when I'm feeling the splurge for a luxury meal. Their happy hour allows you to try premium appetizers for half the price. Service is very attentive and provides a great experience with the food. Being in Santana Row the ambiance has to keep up with the local atmosphere and it doesn't disappoint. They have a great interior with tins of booths and space for parties of 4 mostly. A fantastic place to go after hanging out with a couple of friends. read more

Went to Yard House after a hard works day with my Japanese staff. It was their first time there and its was honestly one of the best nights we had together. Brandon who was our server was very attentive and matched our vibe throughout the whole night. He regularly checked up on us and made sure our glasses were never empty. All the food was great but the service made topped it off hats off to Brandon 10/10. read more

I come here with family and friends constantly so I will say this place is great, I love the food and appetizers. My favorite appetizer is the firecracker shrimp, that's addictive, I just wish it didn't cost $16. My favorite entree is the Korean ribeye for about $41-$45. The next best for me personally is the Lobster garlic noodles for about $32. Out of the 10 visits we've had we had one meh experience, we ordered our usual dishes but there was something wrong with 3 out of the 4 dishes we got. My Lobster garlic noodles tasted like boiled noddles mixed with garlic, turns out it was missing this oyster-like dark sauce, thankfully the waiter provided me with some. Then my moms Korean ribeye didn't actually get any of the Korean sauce that it's supposed to have on it, so we had to add salt to give it some flavor, but her truffle parm fries tasted great. My grandmothers regular Ribeye steak tasted fine but her "baby broccoli" was just severely burnt broccolini. As for the 4th dish, the whiskey glazed salmon tasted great, no problems there, I like how much of the whiskey you can taste in the sauce/glaze read more

As we walked in, we were seated immediately. Our server Will came and he was so kind. He brought us our drinks and water and we then ordered chicken nachos. Our food came out in less than 8 minutes, we were so shocked. The nachos were so good that we ate them so quickly. Afterwards, I ordered a pepperoni pizza which I would recommend because it was light and the crust is thin. We also got the truffle burger and it was amazing! It had so many unique flavors and the fries were amazing and yummy. We ended the night with the Oreo brownie topped with the icecream. I do recommend asking for an extra scoop of ice cream! I'm going to be coming back here, I loved the service and the food. I recommend you all to try. (Santana Row) Happy hour Food: poke nachos 9/10- enjoyed the quality of ahi. The entire blend and presentation was spot on and a must buy. Crispy wontons actually stayed crispy throughout. -marinated raw ahi, crispy wontons, avocado, serranos, white truffle sauce, sweet soy ginger sauce, sriracha aïoli, cilantro, green onions, nori, sesame seeds. 880 cal Lettuce wraps: 9/10- chickens were reasoned and cooked well. The quality of lettuce was nice. Actually doesn't need sauce Classic slider: 8.5/10 not a big slider fan but they did a great job on the beef patties. Truffle fries 6.5/10 - it was just overcooked and too oily BBQ pizza- 7.8/10 great quality just lacked some flavor. I would buy again though despite rating Setting: plenty of choices for seats. Great for bar seats , small, medium, or big party. Has televisions for sports channels. Clean Service: we really had great service today from our server. She was very attentive and always asked us on how she can help us. Thankful for serving my parents and I. Really saw great team effort by the staff Price: hands down great price for happy hour. Yard House is a fun spot to bring friends and watch games. I love going here during happy hour and on game days like the Super Bowl because the vibes are fun and the food is affordable. 1/2 off appetizers and $1-2 off drinks during HH. However, I feel that yard house is getting very overhyped and/or is degrading every time I go. I love their poke nachos but every single visit, I notice they put less. They put less and less poke and avocados, and the food has become increasingly saltier. Same goes for their wings and such. I'm still a fan of their barbecue chicken pizza though. That's good. Service is okay. Can be kinda slow but that's given due to how busy they always are with the waitlist being up to 2 hours long. read more

Came for a group happy hour on a Wednesday evening and boy, was it packed! Not sure if they take reservations, but at 5:30, we couldn't get a table for 12 and waited for half an hour. Then somehow they thought we were a party of 3 and took us to a different area and we had to retract and waited a few more minutes until they finally moved 2 big round tables together and seated us in the front stair level. Service was ok. Our waitress wasn't exactly the chit chatting kind but our food came without much of a wait and our drink orders were taken without a long wait. She also came to check on us a couple times, but we had to chase the bus boy every time to remove the empty dishes as we ordered a lot of food. The Pineapple Mule cocktail was good, not overly sweet but had enough variety from the regular Moscow Mule. And the food! We ordered so much! The ahi tuna with chips was good, the jambalayer was ok, the Korean steak was better than the thicker steak that we ordered, the two noodle dishes (noodle with mushroom, and noodle with beef slices) were both recommendable, the chip with guacamole was too normal but the guacamole was solid, the Magharita pizza looked descent but we were too full to attempt any more carbs. The fried calamari was normal, the onion ring stack was ok. At least the menu variety was good for both food and drinks. Besides the crowd, not a bad choice. But then again, people know where to go for the good places. read more

I'm glad that Yard House is in the Bay Area or am I too late to notice that? This reminds of times where I go to Elephant Bar and Claim Jumper during my adolescent years. This restaurant is a good place to enjoy nightlife and hangout with friends. I'm basing off of the atmosphere since it's a little dark inside. Imagine dining here at night. Would be really a good night to eat and drink with your friends. The food is delicious here and I like how the fries are in a metal container. It's like eating at a fancy restaurant. Staff are very helpful when they kinda guide me through the menu and answered my questions. Also got a drink, but idk what it's called. I simply called it Sparkling Grapefruit. This is a very popular restaurant based on how much reviews it got and I recommend people to try this place out especially at night! read more

Had an amazing meal 7 people around 8 pm on a Saturday. Large space, the downstairs is bright with big windows. This place is quite popular! A lot of people kept coming in and there were people waiting for tables when we left, even though it was late. We noticed that some people sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. We shared the spicy tuna nachos and my party ordered burgers, poke nachos (FYI they are spicy, which we like), cali roll stack (we all sampled this, it was so good!), thai grilled porkchop (I love that they use riced cauliflower for this). We also shared some desserts including a molten chocolate cake and creme brulee cheesecake. We mentioned we were celebrating so one of the desserts had a candle and "CONGRATS" on the plate. (I didn't try that dessert, posted a photo but don't know what it was! Those who tried it liked it.) I haven't been to Yard House for a long time because I haven't been to Santana Row in a while. We walked to Santana Row from Valley Fair to check out some of the shops and wanted to go here for lunch. They have changed their menu and have put a lot of interesting items that go beyond the burger and fries. The chicken and lettuce wraps as an app is good as a light lunch. I had the poke salad and that was refreshing, lots of toppings and flavors. I especially liked the seaweed. The service was good and friendly. Would come here next time to try something new. read more
Second time here and I love this place. Definitely a great spot for larger groups looking for a happy hour deal! Not a big fan of beer but the ones I've tired here have been great! Specifically the blueberry one was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and split them and they all were yummy! It was one of my friend's birthday recently, and she wanted to have a dinner here. I had been to Yard House a couple of times before so I was really looking forward to two things: truffle fries and poke nachos. My friend tried to reserve a table in advance but they don't really do that. They were aware that we were coming as she called ahead so they were expecting us. We ended up waiting around 20 minutes on a Friday evening. After we got seated, the waitress taking care of us handed us the menus and another person came around with water. Shortly after, they came back around to take orders for drinks. I've tried a couple of their cocktails before but was not impressed. Now that I've grown to like beer, I was excited to figure out what to get. I ended up getting a pint of the house honey blonde ale which was great. I wanted to do a half yard, but there's no extra value if it's not happy hour. Our friend group ordered some appetizers to share: ahi poke nachos, chicken nachos, parm truffle fries, and Wisconsin fried cheese curds. My absolute favorite was the ahi poke nachos of course, but as for the parm truffle fries, they are not as good as before. Even my bf, who has gone to Yard House once a few years ago, agreed that the fry cut was not as thin and crispy, and there's very little truffle flavor. That was a little disappointing. They're still good but definitely not as good as before. They're more like regular fries with a sprinkle of garlic and parsley. The cheese curds were good. I wouldn't get them myself but if you put them in front of me I'll eat them. I didn't really like the chicken nachos. They were pretty soggy. For the main dish, my bf and I decided to share a truffle cheese burger with a side of truffle fries. It was a solid burger but I wouldn't buy it again at that price. We ended up taking a bit home since we were pretty full off of the appetizers. Of the times I've been to Yard House, I've never been impressed by the main dishes I've tried. I've enjoyed the appetizers a LOT more. My bf and I agreed that we would both come again during happy hour when select appetizers are half off. This includes the poke nachos fortunately hehe so we will be getting full off of that :) That deal is so worth it. I will also be coming back for more beer. read more
[Food] - Poké Nachos ($17.49): They're more like wonton skins than nachos, which I do prefer more. Tuna was pretty fresh. Also has avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, nori, and I believe a sriracha mayo sauce and some type of sweet soy sauce drizzled on top. My bf loves this dish. - BBQ Chicken Pizza ($18.49): Delicious! The tangy BBQ flavor and the juicy chicken is amazing on the crispy thin crust. Would order again the next time I'm here. - Truffle Fries ($8.49): Just the right amount of truffle paired with Parmesan. Tasty! I usually get this to share with a group when we come here. - Lobster Garlic Noodles ($34.49): A good few big chunks of lobster with spinach, mushrooms, and shrimp. Buttery, garlicky, and cheesy! The dish is good but I don't think I'd order this again. Always a good stop for a nicer lunch or dinner! The servers were great and the food was good as always. I got the BBQ Chicken Salad which was really good but had slightly too much dressing. We came on Mother's Day and there was no wait but the restaurant still had a lot of people. It seemed like a lot of people had the same idea to celebrate here. read more
