Happened on this place on a whim. Ordered an assortment of tacos, as the reviews seemed decent. Everything here is bland and unseasoned. They serve tacos with store bought corn tortillas that are uncooked. Salsa had no hint of lime, no salt, no cilantro, Tasted like spaghetti sauce with a slight hint of chili. Tortilla chips were fresh but had no salt. Disappointing. The place is also really dirty. I sat down in one of the booth seats and later realized there was grease and crumbs all over that ended up sticking to my pants. Bathroom had no soap and was very dirty, which usually means the cooks aren't washing their hands. Avoid like the plague. read more

What is going on Yolandas? Do you have a new cook. We came there yesterday and brought a bunch of family telling them we love this place. First thing I ordered what I always do the the girl at the register goes "you want what?". Then, we get the food. It was super spicy not like normal. My tostado was tiny. Not like it was before. I used to love Yolanda's and frequent it at least twice a month. The food quality has gone extremely down hill. To top it off, they now have some ridiculous parking rules where you have to scan an app and provide your personal information to avoid a $60 parking violation (that let's be honest, isn't even enforceable by law it's just a money grab AND they want your data and shopping patterns or they punish you). Good steak and fish (Mahi Mahi is listed on the menu) tacos. The salsa (habenero) is also very tasty. Hours are limited, so check their website for hours of operation before you head there. You order at the counter and pickup a number. The wait staff at the counter on the day I visited were not very friendly or helpful. The tasty tacos made up for it though. We became a bit ravenous on our way home from Lake George and decided to stop in to Yolanda's because I'd heard great things! We ordered 3 tacos for $7.99 - our mix being the Mahi with Cabbage, the Cecina (grilled steak), and the Fajita (grilled steak and chicken with peppers). We found the mahi and the cecina to be a bit dry. The Fajita was definitely our favorite and was tasty. We also ordered the nachos with chicken and these are really good. Even though I am not a refried bean fan, the white queso mixes nicely with the mash of beans and there is a lot of tasty goodness there! We also ordered the half liter of marg. Pretty strong sweet and sour taste but it packed more of a punch than I thought it would. I probably wouldn't ordered it again. My favorite salsas were the Fresca and the Tomatillo with avocado. The Habanero and El Capitan Rojo were spicy and good too for that extra kick. read more

Trash, the food was cold. Habanero salsa had no heat at all. Just bland food with no flavor. The parking was even worse as you have to connect to some random website and put all your information in just to scan another thing for validation. This place has the BEST quesadilla ever. Hands down. I got the shredded pork quesadilla after hitting up the outlet mall in Castle Rock. Service was fast and efficient, and seemed like a popular place. I got my order to go, and there was a nice outside area that you could sit down at and enjoy your meal. The pork was so juicy and flavorful, and this quesadilla was loaded with it! I also like that it had the grill press marks, giving that extra crunch to the tortilla and grilled flavoring. It comes with a side or chips and I added on a small side of guac. I definitely recommend the guac, heck I might even buy a pint next time because it is that fresh!! When I'm in this area, this will be my go-to place! read more

Sooooo good! There is plenty of seating inside but also very easy to call in an order for pick up and take to your favorite place to eat. I used to go to this place all the time. No more due to lic plate reader and the crap you have to go through to eat at this place. There are plenty of Mexican for places here in castle rock without the hassle of the parking lot fiasco they have created. I know many people rave about Yolanda's but I just wasn't impressed. My husband and I got the red burrito with pork adobado, nachos with grilled steak and pork adobado, and 2 tacos al pastor. The burrito was just ok, not much flavor. The nachos were decent and the grilled steak was tasty but they needed something extra, avocado perhaps. What was a real downer were the tacos al pastor. I've had legit street tacos and I LOVE al pastor, any place that has it, I'm getting it. These were sad. At 3 plus dollars for a taco I expected so much more. The pork just tasted like shredded pork, the kind you would use to make bbq pulled pork. It didn't taste like al pastor at all, the only flavor I got was smoke. And the pineapple kind of seemed like it was canned. I took one bite and didn't want anymore. I had high hopes bc it was so cute inside but not for me. read more

They literally have the best chicken nachos of all time. I suggest to get them without beans because it helps the chips keep their integrity. A1 comfort food. Additionally, the tacos (Tinga and Shrimp are my favorites); quesadillas are good also. Simple menu for kids with good options. Great prices for the amount of food and very quick service! Yolanda's doesn't just have great food...they have great service as well! Everyone is very nice!! I moved downtown almost 2 yrs ago so it's a great place to walk to. Michael knows me by name now (guess I'm a regular now) and he is always so kind! Even on snowy days, they would Saran Wrap my Togo container so my food wouldn't freeze on my walk home! Don't expect legit mexican tacos. These are more like "I am super hungry, I could eat anything" tacos. My tortilla was falling apart, my al pastor tacos were flavorless and my pork barbacoa was alright. Ohhh Emm Gee! The AL PASTOR TACOS are so juicy and succulent. You need to try these at Yolanda's. The tortilla chips come freshly fried along with your choice of salsa. My favorite is salsa fresca -- mild with fresh tomatoes and cilantro. The menu shows they have chorizo tacos as well. I will definitely try these next time. What is so awesome about this locale is that it is adjacent to Festival Park. There is a small splash area for the kiddos and also plenty if shaded seating to enjoy your tacos al fresco. My only complaint is that they need to double the corn tortillas or use a better quality. They fell apart trying to pick up. Any body selling tacos would/could/should correct this issue. If you are American, you should not come HERE! They talk Sh** in Spanish about their clients and make fun of them. Very unprofessional, I'm a Hispanic person and I feel very discriminated against in this place. With 3 of their workers, one was eating at one table talking loudly and very poorly about people who come here to support their business. We've been on the hunt for a good Mexican place. Being from San Diego originally it's been hard to find anything similar. We decided to try this place after seeing the reviews. We both had the shredded beef and adobado tacos with the medium salsa. We ordered the guacamole but the girl forgot to ring it up so we never got to try it. Overall we were quite happy with our pick! We both loved the beef the best. The medium salsa has no heat to it so I would definitely get something hotter the next time around. Our plates also came with some bland chips but with the salsa and some lime it definitely helped. I would definitely recommend this place though!
