The folks here are always kind and always get our orders right. The portions are great for the price as well. The tacos are very bland though and you can tell not much seasoning is put into them, also the ground beef is most likely cheaper 70/30 or 80/20 at most, very bland. Their queso burritos are one of the best things on the menu, and probably the best bang for the buck meal there. Everything else is pretty good, and it's better than most other Mexican restaurants around Denver. The resturant in Castle Rock is going to be crowded on most weekends. read more

We ordered the 80 taco bar for a birthday party and it certainly EXCEEDED our expectations. Everything was ready at the time of pickup. When we got it home, we placed the 4 meats in the oven to keep warm until we were ready to serve. Shredded beef, chipotle chicken, pork carnitas and ground beef. The order includes ALL the fixins from corn tortillas, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, salsa, pico, and chop jalapeno. My husband and I were jonesing for some Mexican food and referred to our trusty Yelp app to find a nearby joint. Yolanda's had some good reviews so we gave it a shot and we were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious food. Their salsa was spot on. I usually go for medium but their mild was spot on. The steak tacos rocked and the kid's meals were wonderfully proportioned. Found this place on Yelp on a Sunday afternoon on our way home from camping. Located in a strip center, Yolanda's is nicely decorated with lime green walls, yellow tables and red benches. Bathrooms were clean. I ordered 3 tacos ($7.99) with the plan to take one home. I got shrimp, fish & crab. My husband ordered up 3 tacos, too: Picadillo, carnitas, & adobada. They have bottled beer, soft drinks & horshata. The adobada taco was AWESOME! (our vote for the best) So we're all of the others. The tacos came with chips, and your choice of salsa. I ordered the mango salsa which was really good and fresh. So was the tomatillo, my favorite. My tacos came with lettuce, tomato, cilantro & lime. Good portions on all tacos. Great place. We will be back. Only negative is that they close at 2pm on Sunday, and from the stream of patrons following in they should stay open later. read more

Been going there exclusively for their blue crab ceviche tostadas. imagine my disappointment when I make the 20 mile trip to satisfy my craving for this to be told it has been taken off the menu. while rest of the menu is fine, I can get Tex mex tacos anywhere. Great Odin's raven! Sweet Yolanda's! I'd heard rumors of Yolanda's, and had even tried to go several times but always was too late. This place is legit. There are so many, almost too many, choices for tacos/burritos/quesadillas/tostadas/nachos. Oh, and there's also a HUGE selection of salsas too. My wife and I wanted to try a few things so ordered a 3 taco plate with 3 different type of tacos, and the chicken nachos. Man oh man! It was all so good, but the nachos were awesome! Yolanda's queso is one of those things that dreams are made of. Queso = dreams. Look it up, it's pretty much like melatonin. Prices are a little steep, think $7 for 3 tacos. Tacos are exceptional but I tried the green chile burrito this time and it was delicious. The green chile had just enough of a kick, but not that much to bring me to tears. The tortilla was standards with lettuce, tomato, and cheese toppings. Overall, this was very satisfying. I also enjoyed their mango salsa. It complemented the green chile burrito quite well. What was ordered: 2 Pollo tacos (see picture) - Served on soft corn tortillas. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The chicken was tender, although not super flavorful. The tacos were served with an appropriate amount of mild cheese and your choice of salsa. I got the pico de gallo which was tasty, but so mild they could serve it in a nursing home. Each plate comes with tortilla chips. It was refreshing that these tacos were not dripping in grease. The two taco combination with chips and salsa was $5.79 + tax. ___________ The restaurant is in a small shopping strip and is quite casual. Walk in, look at the chalkboard menu, place your order, grab a seat and someone will bring you your tacos. Beverages are self serve. The tacos aren't knock your socks off good. They aren't even that memorable, but for a quick lunch that's fresh and relatively healthy (excluding the tortilla chips) Yolanda's is a reasonable option. Had to stop in after all the good reviews but after eating here I was definitely let down. Ordered 2 Mahi Mahi tacos and the Mango salsa. Fish was cooked properly but had little flavor. The tacos consisted of fish and about a pound of lettuce each. No onions, cilantro or anything else on the taco. I actually had to pull lettuce off each taco because of how much each one had. The plate also came with a pile of chips and only 2 cups of salsa. What I don't get is why they give you all these tortilla chips but no salsa? I go up and ask for more salsa and they want $.50 per extra cup. I'm like wait what? What am I supposed to do with all those chips? Can't use the 2 small cups you gave me cause I had to use them on the tacos cause of how bland they were. Buy more or eat all those chips dry is what they basically told me. Doubt I'll be back with how many options there are for Mexican food and the fact that I don't go into Castle Rock all that often anymore. I think the high reviews come from people who live in Castle Rock and don't venture out much. If they would go to Denver or any of the surrounding areas and eat at some real taco joints, they'd see how mediocre Yolanda's is. read more

This little taco shop became our place to try for our wedding tacos. We came in on the weekend to sample the different meats and flavors to decide what our choices would be for our wedding. This little place was packed to the gills. The staff was expedient and working through the line like they were accustomed to the chaos. We ordered ground beef tacos, pork tacos, shredded beef tacos, chicken tacos, and steak tacos as well as some queso and guacamole. Let me just start with HOLY GUACAMOLE! The guac and queso were spectacular. The queso was creamy and cheesy but had just the right level of spice added to it. The guac was chunky and fresh. The tacos were all really delicious. They serve them on corn tortillas which I absolutely love. The steak taco was by far my favorite. All of the meat had exceptional flavor but the steak was an absolute home run for me. The toppings on the taco were absolutely perfect, they were not skimpily made. Everyone at my table was thrilled with the experience and their party packs will be our featured dinner at my wedding. I am taking one star off because of the bathroom which was shared. I would only take a half of a star if Yelp would allow for it. I am not sure what was happening in that bathroom hallway but it smelled terrible. Not terrible like someone had been int he bathroom but like something absolutely died in there. The restaurant was closed off from it so it was not (thank god) something that was in the dining area.
