Friendly staff, ambiance is not loud and over all it looked clean and organized. Their deli salad counter looked fresh and filled for being lunch time. The Turkey pesto sandwich was delicious on sourdough and their veggie pasta was good but I felt it tasted so much better when I got a bite of tomato. So maybe the next time I'll get a larger version to be able to have a larger amount of veggies in it. The cucumber salad was also good. Thank you for a great lunch. Leaves their salad mix out on the counter (no ice under or anything) I got horrible food poisoning from their salad while 7 weeks pregnant I had to go to the hospital the next day for dehydration and unable to stop puking. This is a great deli with great service. They make it easy to have 1/2 sandwich with soup or salad. I had a 1/2 perfect Reuben with a great garden salad with lots of colors in it. My son had a whole tri-tip sandwich, which was tender and superb. My daughter, who doesn't like cheese, had the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup. She loved it! Stopped by Yosh's a couple times in the last week for some quick lunches, and got to say, they do craft some very tasty sandwiches here. You get all sorts of breads, many mad in-house, and lots of deli standards and rotating daily specials to pick from. Of the fare I've tried so far, the Meatloaf Sandwich is quite nice, but the Reuben is really where it's at, leaving me quite impressed. Don't skip some sides either, as they have tons of delicious cookies, some decent pasta salad, and a bunch of other options. The prices here are also quite decent, with most sandwiches being around the $12 mark, and you have the option of going for half sandwiches, too. For this reason alone, I will certainly keep Yosh's on my radar if I need a bite in south Reno. Service here was always friendly and quite prompt, except if you come during certain rush periods, as they are so popular it can get a little backed up. The dining room is quite nice, and they have a very pleasant little outdoor patio, too. Parking is usually quite easy, also. All in all, one darn good sandwich. What more need be said? read more

They have a variety of sizes for the cold salads that would make it easy to pick up something to take to a potluck like event. A great menu of salads and sandwiches. The sandwiches are great. I especially love the Portabella Mushroom sandwich and I used to get the Smoked Tri-Tip all the time. (I'm sure it's still amazing I'm just not eating so much meat now). This latest trip to Yoshs was certainly not the norm. The bread was really dry and seemed almost like day old. There was more stuffing and mash on my sandwich than turkey and the normal rich flavors i enjoy werent there. Its been a bit since our last trip and i'm hoping this is just a one off and that my next sandwich will be as good as before. read more

We ordered these sandwiches to go. We ordered a whole Smoked Tri-tip on pesto parmesan bread, and a whole Pulled Pork sandwich on sourdough. The Pulled Pork sandwich was good, a bit messy to eat with the barbecue sauce, but that's to be expected. I understand the price of Tri-tip is nearly double the price of Pulled Pork but our Tri-tip sandwich could have had a bit more filling on the inside, it could have had "something more", anything. It was very light and just kind of bland. At $9.99 each, I think the sandwiches weren't terribly priced comparatively. Although, I'd definitely say the Tri-tip sandwich was not worth the price. I'm still hungry. The deli's atmosphere is very inviting and spacious. It's clearly popular - it was busy. I noticed that the people eating their sandwiches on location looked more appetizing than my to go sandwiches did. There were a lot of salads and desserts that looked tasty that I did not try this time. Our service was fast. After ordering, we waited less than five minutes for our sandwiches to be done. This is one of my FAVORITE sandwich spots in Reno! I always do a Build Your Own half sandwich with tomato soup combo. The bread is completely homemade, and I obsess over the Pesto Parmesan flavor. I always look forward to the tomato soup as well - it has to be one of my favorites in Reno. The ingredients are so fresh. This is a busy spot, especially at lunch time! However, I have never had trouble finding a spot to sit. I have also never waited longer than 10-15 minutes for my food. Didn't get any pictures because I always eat my meal faster than I can remember to get a picture here!! I'm embarrassed and disappointed that it has taken me this long to try Yosh's. I was simply blown away by my lunch today. At the extremely affordable price of $15 I got a half soup and sandwich combo, a side of potato salad, and a brownie and everything was exceptional. The bread was so fresh and soft with nice crunchy/chewy Swiss cheese and fragrant onions, super fresh in house smoked turkey breast and the perfect amount of spread and salty balance from the prosciutto. The cinque Terra is a deceptively simple but delicious sandwich. They make some of the best loaded potato salad and be ever had. The potatoes are so soft and tender yet still have so much integrity and the flavor is spot on, which is hard to do with potato salad that's kept in a cold case. The creamy chicken and rice soup is so warm and filling like the best kind of congee porridge. And the chicken is so extremely tender it just melts in your mouth. And to top it all off the Kahlua brownie is rich chewy and decadent, although I could go with a little less frosting. Not only was the food phenomenal but the staff was fast efficient and friendly and they gave so many specials and things to choose from.
