I try to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. They need to hire better people that like working here, or hire new cooks that wont dry out the meats. No wonder they get so many bad reviews. This used to be a good location to go to back in the days. I am never satisfied or happy with service, attitudes, and overpriced garbage at this location that they will not prepare right, like at the others. They act like they want to shit their pants when i ask for extra garlic sauce for the chicken. I volunteer to pay extra money for that stuff. My last and final time coming here. This was the worst experience I've ever had with customer service. Immediately when I walked in the cashier was so RUDE and had the worst attitude for literally no reason. I walked in and ordered 2 combo kebab plates for my grandma and I, while my grandma waited in the car because she's in a wheelchair. When I checked the food in the car I realized they didn't put roasted tomatoes or onions on either plates so I went back in and asked for them. Both of the younger people behind the counter gave me the dirtiest looks and then started speaking Spanish to each other while pointing and laughing at me like they were 12 years old, I was shocked. On top of that, after I got home I realized that the Lule Kebabs, which were in a separate container that I forgot to check, were so overcooked, burnt, and dry that they felt like rubber, it was disgusting. I was so upset that I drove back while my grandma was on the phone with the manager explaining what had happened. And the manager, Ayleen, HUNG UP ON MY GRANDMA. When I got there I talked directly to Ayleen and pointed out the people who were rude to me. Funny enough it seemed like she knew these 2 guys have had problems before. She gave me a refund but I'm afraid that it won't go through after reading all the other 1 star reviews on here. Extremely RUDE customer service. Whoever is the cashier that was working yesterday on Mother's Day should absolutely be fired for the way she spoke to us. We ordered two rotisserie chicken family meals for Mother's Day. They forgot our pita. My sister in law called to go pick it up. When the cashier answered she literally said "so what do you want me to do about it" in a extremely rude manner. What do you think ms smarty pants obviously give us what we PAID for the missing pita. Food is great! However, multiple occasions they always forget additional garlic sauces that was paid for in addition to whats included in the family meal which is frustrating. Past orders same situation. I even politely notated to not forget the additional ordered sauces and it was useless. Ill update my review once I see this improve in future orders. Zankou Chicken still fills my stomach with a smile and satisfaction. Tasty and delicious from their spices and ingredients, zankou holds it down. The reason I didn't give a 5 star is due to not being quick enough. It's understandable especially after the Pandemic that a lot has changed. Businesses have a difficult position hiring and finding enough staff. Also, Mediterranean food take approximately 15-20 minutes to prepare accordingly, so keep that in mind. Another thing to consider, if your in a rush and are starving you should consider preordering and always giving an additional 15-30 minute time padding. Zankou is a very popular food chain. I was shocked when my wife brought home the sandwich that's thinner than a water bottle and barely any meat inside. Here's why: - Ordered a Tri Tip Shawarma wrap and it's the smallest $12 wrap ive ever paid for. On top of that, the Shawarma had no flavor and the wrap has no dressing or fillings. The whole thing was small and tasted like cardboard - ordered large fries. Crispy enough but I can't believe I couldn't enjoy fries. Customer service sucks! They purposely do not offer to scan code nor ask for your phone number to avoid getting our rewards. I did not get my rewards. My order took too long, more than 15 minutes wait like they said. So, I finally got up and asked for my order. It's been sitting on the shelf for Uber orders or Grub hubs. I told that Latina girl that she didn't call my number and I've been waiting for more than 15 minutes. She turned around rudely and said, "We did!" which is a lie; otherwise, I would've heard it while I was looking at the register. When I arrived home, my food was a mess! It looks like they did not care and just threw things around the container. It did not look appetizing, and I just lost my appetite! The meat and chicken were overcooked, crunchy, and all dried up food. I paid good money for the food, and this is what it looked like??!! I still love their food but our entire order, including the entire chicken was extremely dry today! I ended up just eating the pita with garlic spread and radish because the meat was too dry for me to where I couldn't keep it down. Also, after seeing a few other 1 star reviews and the fact that someone straight up got moldy bread and spoiled food, I'm a little worried and will check my order thoroughly from now on. The food is tasty and I especially appreciate that their customer service is strong. There was an error with a DoorDash order and they immediately jumped in to resolve the situation. It turns out that it may have been a misunderstanding on my part of ordering via the DoorDash app, but the restaurant did not question me about it and worked instead to create a satisfactory experience for my family. They could have easily disregarded it and I would not have returned, but I'm glad they understood the value of excellent customer service. Thanks and I'll be back again for the yummy food! read more
