Their cold noodles are really tasty, and the Chinese hamburger is also delicious flavorful and satisfying. However, I found the portion of chicken in the big plate chicken to be a bit too small. The flavor was great, but I do hope they can improve on the portion size. The restaurant itself is small, but the service is friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience more enjoyable.

    10. Special hot chili oil noodle w/ pork and vegetables (noodles were mixed already lol)

We came on a Tuesday evening and it was quaint and empty but service was nice and welcoming. They answered our questions regarding to the certain dishes. Friend ordered the #10 spicy chili oil noodles with pork w/ vegetables and I ordered the #19 cumin lamb noodles. I enjoyed my dish's flavors, but I'm not fond with the noodles. It had a nice bite but not as chewy like these typical noodles would. As for my friend's dish, it's a bit bland and the cut of the noodles were a bit confusing (some are small, some are big where it's half cut). We felt bad that the noodles cuts were inconsistent and some of the noodles were thick which didn't soak in the flavors very well. I do like the value of this place so we'll give this place another chance again later on.

Decided to try this new place a couple of nights ago. Me and my friend try restaurants at least 3 times a week. So we are fairly picky. This place exceeded our expectations. It is really fantastic. Very family run. Very fresh and homemade food. I had there "# 1" dish, stewed chicken that had carrots potatoes peppers onions with homemade noodles. (The noodles were so good that I wanted more. They have a more noodle option. Next time I'll do that). The chicken is boned which honestly I usually don't like. But the quality of the chicken was so high that I was fine with the bones. The flavor of the dish was incredible. My friend had a chicken fried rice that was also excellent. The cucumber salad was good but pretty much the same as you get everywhere in SGV. Service was very friendly and as I said, literally a family husband wife w a little kid. All in all, a great experience. I'll be back soon. Highly recommended.

This is a hole in the wall restaurant in an unassuming plaza, but the food we ordered really hit the spot! We got the Xian Style Cold Noodle with Chili Oil, Beef Noodle Soup, and Spicy Dragon Roll. The cold noodle dish was delicious - had some mild heat and the tanginess was refreshing. We also enjoyed the beef noodle soup which was homey. We will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu!

Finally tried this hole-in-the-wall Chinese/sushi restaurant that I've been curious about! Employees speak Mandarin but I was able to order by pointing. The Xian Style Cold Noodle with Chili Oil and Cold Noodle Sesame Sauce were delicious - perfect noodle texture and a delightful sesame sauce with a hint of vinegar. The Salmon Lover and Pink Lady sushi, despite the slightly mushy rice, won me over with the quality and presentation. Located in an unassuming plaza, this spot did not disappoint. Will come back to explore more of their menu - a hidden delight in our neighborhood!

Tasty food. Friendly owner. Highly recommended! P.S. the noodles were so tasty that I forgot to take pictures at the beginning.

The chefs here are amazing, dedicated to quality! The stir-fried cabbage is amazing - absolutely order! I had to order a lamb burger too! Excellent soups too

We ordered noodles in soup with beef as well as pork. Pretty good. The pork hamburger and cumin beef hamburger are good, slightly pricey. We also ordered the sushi combo that comes with 1 special roll and an assortment of 6 nigiri (mix and match salmon, eel, or tuna). The salmon nigiri was fresh, and the rest of the sushi was good. The service was great. The waitress had good recommendations, as well as spoke mandarin, english, and cantonese. I ordered 2 salmon and 1 tuna in the combo, but the chef swapped 1 salmon for tuna by mistake. He apologized and gave me two more salmon nigiri, pretty generous and great attitude.

We love this quaint place with the chef coming to greet and talk with us! He's so nice! Most of all, the food was so delicious! We had the spicy fried fish, which was fried super crispy, then cooked in the sichuan soup with tofu, spam (yay!), cilantro and other veg you can choose. Their pork bun was so yummy! The bun was the right thickness n the pork was super juicy, flavorful and tender. The beef noodle soup was good with a twist. Overall, it was a really good experience.

Service was great, seemed like there was only 2 guys working there the night we visited. Place smells crazy heavy is cumin! I would recommend the Chinese dishes, and just the nigiri. All the special rolls came with California roll base and I don't know how they mix the crab but it was not good. For me personally, it became inedible. Our favorite dish of the night was actually the most unexpected. Simple fried cabbage! So much umami taste and just enough mala. Deducted extra stars because the entire time we were eating, the men rotated smoke breaks constantly! It wasn't just disturbing how much they smoked but a bit disgusting to know they are handling our meal after smoking

Yes, there's sushi and Chinese food at this restaurant. Don't expect authentic sushi but it honestly hits the spot. Generous portions here and the prices are good. Service was good although we were the only table. They served us loose leaf tea in a kettle so that was a nice touch. Parking was plentiful during dinner time (6-7ish). I think most of the other businesses in the plaza are already closed and this is the only place open. I think this is a great place if you have a sushi craving but also want a nice bowl of Chinese beef noodle soup. Haha. Overall, food is tasty and taste freshly made.

    Northwest Big Plate Chicken

This is a gem of a place. I had the Northwest Big Plate Kitchen, Beef roll and Xian style Liangpi, which was flavorful and superb. You could tell a lot of care went into the preparation. The decor is a little plain but the service is wonderfully warm and friendly. It's located in a quiet place but away from the super busy parts of Alhambra and easy to park. I look forward to coming back many times.

My crew and I went on a Friday night, and even though it was very busy, we were seated fairly quickly. There were four of us, and here's what we ordered: chicken fried rice, Shanghai-style chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and juicy pork dumplings. Chicken Fried Rice: It was soft and pillowy with great flavor, though I felt it could have used a bit more color. It looked a little pale, but it was still delicious. Shanghai-Style Chow Mein: This was perfect. The flavor was spot on, the sauce was well-balanced, and the noodles had the ideal texture. The ratio of noodles, vegetables, and meat was just right. Sweet and Sour Chicken: This was the highlight for me. My only regret is not ordering more to take home. The chicken was crispy without being overdone, and it was coated in that delicious sweet and sour sauce. Juicy Pork Dumplings: We were at a dumpling house, so we had to order dumplings. These did not disappoint. They were very flavorful, and the broth inside was rich and satisfying. We originally planned to order more dishes, but the portions were generous, and we ended up with just the right amount to leave satisfied. Overall, this place lives up to the hype. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Dare I say, this is my favorite cafe ever. Whenever my friends come over, I will always bring them here to enjoy a Hong Kong style cafe. This location specifically is located in Atlantic Times Square with plenty of underground parking available. It will get busy at times but the last level always has some parking available. The only downside about this plaza is that the elevators take forever to go up and down and certain staircases offered aren't maintained and will lead you to the outside trash can area and will have you walking around to try and find the hallway that leads to the plaza. My family and I came on a Thursday early-ish dinner around 6pm and there were a few tables available for us to sit at. You're greeted with a lot of Hong Kong staples, MTR signs, train station signs, the milk tea cart, and plenty more. There are plenty options for delicious food in their menu that cater different cravings. We got 4 different dishes and 2 drinks and the total came out to be $91 after tax and tips! Food: Sweet and Sour Sole Fish (8.2/10): This was my favorite dish growing up so there is some bias around my opinion. It's fried sole fish that's drenched in a sweet and sour sauce that has vegetables in it. If you've had sweet and sour pork, they use the same sauce but instead of pork, it's sole fish. There's a perfect amount of sauce on top and you won't run out before you finish your dish. Salted Chicken Wings and Squid (8/10): This one is an appetizer! It comes with 4 chicken wings and a lot of fried squid and garnished with peppers and green onions. I love that the fried squid isn't drenched in the batter and adds a nice thin crispy layer on top of the squid. The chicken wing does have a little bit of pinkness in the bones but it was perfectly cooked with juicy chicken and crispy skin! Ground Meat and Egg Rice (8/10): There's an over-easy egg on top of the rice and you break it so the yolk bleeds in and you have chunks of egg white mixed into the rice. It's ground meat, furikake(I think?), grilled onions, and white rice! There's a sauce In the ground meat but I'm not sure how to describe it but it tastes amazing. You definitely need to mix everything together until it's well combined. Grilled Chicken Steak w/ Mushroom Sauce (8/10): This is a staple to cafes (at least in my family and extended family)! It's a chicken breast pan fried to have a crispy skin and you dip it into a sauce of your choice! We usually get the mushroom sauce because it compliments the juicy chicken well. It's not a liquid-y sauce but more of a thicker creamy sauce. It also comes with a side of broccoli and corn so it doesn't feel as heavy. The carbs that come with the dish is either white rice or spaghetti.
