This restaurant is one of my parents' top places to get lunch or dinner whenever we eat out. The food is good value with large portions, and there's always a variety to choose from. The dishes have a nice, home-cooked flavor so I think it's like comfort food for my family. Personally, I'm more picky. There's dishes I feel are a hit or miss for me, and, unfortunately, the ones I end up enjoying the most aren't offered long. The first time we visited, we got the Taiwanese popcorn chicken (one of my favorite dishes!!). Though there was plenty of chicken and it looked great, I felt the chicken tasted somewhat dry, or lean. I was pretty disappointed, and we didn't order that dish again for our next several visits. Though the popcorn chicken was not my standard, any rice, cabbage, and noodle dishes in the menu are always delicious. I was particularly impressed by the salty egg oyster mushroom dish, which almost reminded me of fried pork belly! Unfortunately, the next time we ordered that dish, the quality and taste seemed slightly different, and then the following visit later, the dish was no longer available. I was also impressed by the salty egg bitter melon, which had very little bitterness and was very flavorful (I guess I really lean towards all the egg-salted foods haha). I never liked bitter melon, but this dish changed my impressions drastically, so I really wanted to eat it again the next time we visited. Yesterday, we came with friends and ordered a variety of dishes (including the popcorn chicken) for everyone to try. Unfortunately, the bitter melon was sold out, which was very disappointing for me. Everything else we've ordered was good, though my opinion of the popcorn chicken hasn't changed since our first visit. The service is always great, so there's not much to say about that. Overall, I'm not happy about the inconsistency of quality and availability of certain dishes. I checked again today to see if the bitter melon dish is available, and it still remains sold out. Maybe the things I like aren't very popular so they are gradually fazed out. Or, the ingredients are generally limited or expensive to procure. However, the food is fine and I'll most likely be back again with my family for another visit. I just hope I can find something I really like that can stick around longer than the other two dishes.

151 Days was recommended by our friend from Taiwan, recommended for its authenticity. We had dinner here and would definitely be back! The standout for us was definitely the cordyceps flower black chicken soup which felt nourishing, it was the highlight of our meal. We also ordered the stir-fried water spinach with beef, which was very authentic. The mapo tofu was soft, comforting, and to our surprise, just $1 with their dine-in promotion, it was such a great deal! Ordering was quick and easy via a tablet, and the food arrived fast. The seating is spacious and open, making it a comfortable place to dine. We also loved the cute decor touches, especially around the bar area.

Came here at night for dinner as a group of 3 - the food was mostly very good - we got the lions head meatball, sautéed pea vines, and one of the chicken soup. There was also a deal where mapo tofu was just $1 with any purchase, so we also got one of them. I think everything except the soup was great, which is a bit ironic given their specialty and the high price. The soup wasn't bad, but just felt like a standard chicken broth. I know black silkie chickens are pretty expensive by default so the price isn't unjustifiable, but I found the meat only okay and there wasn't that much other stuff in it. The meatballs and mapo tofu were really tasty though, and the $1 deal made it very worth it - I would come back for the various non soup dishes.

Restaurant was nicely decorated, and when we first got there was completely empty. But it was still early on a Thursday night and as we sat down, several other parties came in. What I noticed was that everyone there was authentic Chinese. My husband and son were the only non-Chinese in the whole place which means authentic Chinese folks love this place. The food was very good. My son loved the popcorn chicken, the pepper beef was nice and tender and had great flavor. The pea vines were delicious and the fried rice was tasty. Next time I come, I will need to try some of the soup. It looks delicious, but we didn't want to over order.

Crispy Chicken w/Special Spicy Sauce Bento

The last time I was here was when they were 151 Days Chicken? I can't remember exactly but it was closer to when they opened. Popped in for lunch right when they opened and ordered the bento (lots of options and reasonably priced), also ordered the beef noodle soup, ma po tofu and a ground pork and bean stir fry. The bento was fine- spicy crispy chicken wasn't very spicy, came with a side of ma po tofu that was super spicy, cabbage was bland (Monga does it better), the rice came with some ground pork on top and that was good. The beef in the noodle soup wasn't tender, the ground pork dish was good. Overall, experience was fine. There is parking lot and tons of street parking.

Known for their signature chicken soup, 151 Days represents how the Bresse chickens used at this restaurant are raised to the prime age of 150 days, and therefore served on the 151st day. Five of us made a reservation for 11:30A on a Saturday. There were already a few tables occupied and by around 12:15P, the entire restaurant was full. We placed our order and asked that the soup be served first so we could taste it independently without any other dishes as a distraction. It takes at least 15 minutes to prepare the soup, so just be ready for a little wait if you make the same request. + CLAM & GARLIC CHICKEN SOUP ($42.95): Being one of their signature soups, of course I was the most excited for this dish, but ended up being the most let down by it. The chicken pieces were mostly bone and skin with the meat being flavorless (from being completely boiled out) and pretty dry. I honestly couldn't tell it was the Bresse chicken at all... it didn't taste like anything special. Also, they threw in a bunch of whole garlic cloves, but they had also lost all their flavor, making them unpleasant to eat. All this said, my favorite ingredient in the soup was the clams. Also, the broth itself was clean, clear and comforting to sip since it was so light. However, for $42, this was far from worth it. + PEA SHOOTS w/ GARLIC ($17.95): Loved these! The pea shoots were tender and fresh, covered in a potent garlic oil. I could eat a whole plate of these, and the pieces of mushrooms were great additions. + STEAMED COD w/ SOY SAUCE ($21.95): The steamed fish itself was delicate, topped with slices of green onion and ginger and in a pool of soy sauce. Unfortunately there were SO MANY small bones in the fish which made it difficult to enjoy since I had to be so cautious with every bite. + TAIWANESE FRIED NOODLES ($14.95): This was a solid noodle dish with cabbage, onion, carrot and the most tender beef. It was a little oily, but the noodles were cooked perfectly and had great flavor from the wok. + SICHUAN SPICY CRISPY CHICKEN ($14.95): Fried pieces of chicken came in a slightly sweet soy sauce, topped with peppers and green onion. The exterior of the chicken was lightly fried and the pieces were fairly lean. The tantalizing spice was addicting and I couldn't stop eating it. + SALTED EGG SHRIMP BALLS ($18.95): These were actually whole shrimp, coated in a fried batter that consisted of salted duck egg, with more of it sprinkled on top. The shrimp were plump and had the perfect snap, while the duck egg gave it a rich flavor. This isn't a dish that you find often, so I recommend it! The service was fine at the beginning, but after we received all our food, we were not checked on again until we were ready for the bill. Additionally, they don't offer hot tea, which is essentially unheard of at Chinese restaurants. While I enjoyed four out of the six dishes, a large consideration comes down to their signature soup which unfortunately was a large miss. 3.25 stars.

It was so lovely to be able to experience 151 days in Redmond. The chicken broth which is ample and refillable was a treat. It was a little herbally but felt clean as you drink this soup. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff friendly. Beef noodle soup super good with the anise 5 star spices and tender meats with noodles perfectly cooked. The thousand year old egg with tofu and sprouts unique and a blend of modern and classic tastes..this was my favorite. The fermented tofu was unique and definitely an acquired taste. Popcorn chicken fun and great for kids! We ordered so much more but those were our standout dishes. Definitely a must return here to eat place!

Authentic Taiwanese food. The three cup chicken in the pot has rich basil flavor and the garlic with sauce is soft and creamy. The chicken is marinated very well. The 1 dollar mapo tofu is a great deal and the crispy shrimp ball is also very tasty.

The restaurant has a clean and open concept, and it wasn't too busy or loud when we went. The service is efficient and professional, although not especially hospitable (which doesn't bother me personally, but I know that matters to some people). Unfortunately the food itself was just mediocre. The braised beef pot and mapo tofu were not very good, in my opinion. The beef pot was basically a pot of mostly tendon, which isn't my personal favorite. The mapo tofu was only $1 because of a special promo they have right now, but I wouldn't get it again. It lacked depth in flavor, although it might be a good introduction to the dish for someone who's never tried it before (since it's only $1). I quite enjoyed the pork stir fry and cabbage stir fry. These are pretty simple dishes to make, though, so I would expect a restaurant to execute such dishes well. We had a disappointing experience since this restaurant has such a decent rating. Maybe it was an off day or something, but I will not likely return.

151 Days serves family style Taiwanese dishes, as well as bento boxes that are perfect if you prefer not to share food! The crispy chicken bento was amazing. It came with very well seasoned sides, and the crispy chicken (lightly fried) went perfectly with the rest of the dishes. Usually, I don't eat much of the sides in a bento box, but the curry, cabbage, and cucumber salad were amazing pairings that I devoured. The chicken also had a spicier kick than I expected, which I didn't mind but may be helpful to know if you have a lower tolerance. Went in at 12pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating, which got filled by 12:45pm. The overall ambience was great and relaxing. Waiters were attentive and helpful in decision making!

We waited for over an 1hr to get the food. The restaurant is understaff, only two servers were working the restaurant, busing tables, hosting, taking orders and serving food. I really enjoyed the pot stickers and spicy wontons. The Bresse Chicken Soup broth was delicious, it was lacking nothing. The food tastes great. I personally don't like restaurants that add too much salt, oil, and spices. This place is great. The chicken broth is flavorful yet not too salty. I like the quiet atmosphere. If you're looking for the old 151 Days chicken dishes (rice, soup etc), look elsewhere. This place is under new management and is now specialized in Taiwanese food (like Looking for Chai style). I wish they had changed the name so that it's not so confusing. read more

1. They recently switched to using Chowbus as the checkout system, a platform know as breaching customer info and not taking responsibility. It makes me feel uncomfortable for using this system to handle my credit card info. Not only is this insecure, but also makes transactions ineligible for earning SkyMiles. 2. They limit the credit card to one per table. Any restaurants enforcing this kind of limit will have two stars deducted automatically. 3. There service quality is unstable and highly depends on the waiters / waitresses on duty. Sometimes we received superb service while other times it was painfully slow. 4. The food is hit or miss. First time here today with my wife, friendly service and the food came out quick! We drove all the way from Marysville to try this place and was not disappointed. The server even got my wife a refill of hot water with a lemon slice without us asking! Now that's good service. The chicken with mushroom soap was awesome, great pairing with the chili sauce chicken but wish we had ordered some rice. We will be coming back here again for sure. read more

There are a lot of things I like about 151 days. I think it's cool how the name is based on the number of days it takes for their chickens to mature. I like how chickens appear everywhere on their tableware (even if a lot of it is chipped). I also like how creative some of their chicken dishes are (I tried their mushroom cream chicken and love the weird combination of cream sauce, fried rice, and chicken). However, there are two glaring issues with 151 days which were consistent between my two visits: 1) lukewarm food 2) poor service Lukewarm food - when your chicken noodle soup is your signature dish and the majority of your customers order it, there's really no excuse for the soup to be this cold. It's a shame because the flavor of the broth is actually quite nice, and it does seem like they rush this dish out when it's ordered. Poor service - imagine getting a meal here with someone and their noodle soup comes out lightning quick along with your beef appetizer. Okay no big deal; I'll just eat this beef appetizer while I wait. A half hour passes, and you still have not received your dish. Lukewarm chicken noodle soup has been served to several parties who sat down after you. Your waitress comes by and asks if everything's okay, not realizing that one of the two people sitting at the table has not received their order at all while the other is basically done eating. You mention that you're still waiting on your dish. Another five to ten minutes pass, and you talk to the one other person working front of house about your missing order. Finally between the forty to forty five minute mark, you finally receive your dish. Afterwards, the check finally comes, and there's no discount at all. Throughout this entire process, no one stopped by to give you some sort of "sorry for the long wait" side dish or even refill your water which was empty towards the end of the long wait. The explanation that you get for the long wait is that the two chefs in the kitchen were busy and have forgotten orders in the past. Yikes. I honestly considered giving 151 days two stars because Yelp's description for that rating is "Could've been better" which sums about my feelings about the restaurant. Please do better 151 days. I would like to see this place succeed, but my latest experience was a failure on multiple fronts. read more

It was really just ok, I'm actually quite surprised at all of the really good reviews. Came here on a Tuesday at 5:30pm for dinner, huge restaurant but completely empty. I believe they just opened, and it kind of looked like it with boxes laying around, empty bar set up, etc.. They check your covid vax before seating you. There was one gal who was working, she was a little awkward. She spoke verrrry softly that we can barely hear her. She was also wearing sweats which was a little weird. She seemed like the owners daughter who was forced to wait on tables but would rather do something else. Anyway, on to the more important part the food. Which came out surprisingly very quick (within like 15 mins of ordering) which makes me question how pre-prepared they were. Here's what we ordered: Chicken noodle soup: There are actually two types (both labeled chicken noodle soup so you have to ask the difference). We got the creamier kind. It was good..taste like chicken noodle soup. Spicy beef shank: Slightly spicy, really dry Spicy wontons: Slightly spicy, barely any meat but lots of wrapping. Also very salty. Skip this and just go to dough zone down the street. Ground pork noodles: Noodles were a nice consistency..also quite salty. Smoked Bresse Chicken: Chicken barely had any meat on it, so you're basically dipping bone into a garlic sauce. You can taste the smoked part of the chicken. Overall food was meh. Maybe there were other things we should have gotten on the menu instead. read more

After seeing so many 4-5 star reviews about this place, my wife and I decided to give it a try for lunch. To be honest, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it was amazingly good especially for what you pay for. We shared the spicy wonton and both had the chicken noodle soup. The spicy wonton was good and the broth in the soup had a good flavor, but nothing special. They really could've added more shredded chicken to the chicken noodle soup seeing that this restaurant is all about the chicken. It was really not a lot, which was super disappointing. Not sure we'd go back unless they are more generous with the amount of chicken. read more

Been there twice this week. The Chicken Noodle soup is fantastic. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is not what you expect. They are huge and not breaded. The bread with eggplant spread is really good. The first experience the server was wonderful. Today I think we got the "angry girl" that some others had described in other reviews. Not really angry, just emotionless and keeps discussion to a minimum. My only other complaint is the side plates had chips in the edges. Putting that aside, its great food and worth visiting IMHO read more

So the menu online and the one shown here on Yelp was very different from the menu at the restaurant. The online menu shows mostly Szechuan dishes but what we found at the restaurant was mostly Taiwanese and Hakka dishes. That being said, we ordered a ton of different dishes and they were all wonderful. Get anything crispy like the cod or the shrimp. The pork burgers are not quite as good as Facing East's but pretty close. The string beans and the pork stew over rice were great too. We had a few of the soups - because it is supposed to be a chicken soup restaurant - but didn't find them very flavorful or exciting. Also, they didn't have any drink options besides water and coke products. That was disappointing, but the food was so good that I didn't end up caring. read more

Went back again with some other friends. It was just as good as the first time. We had a friend try the beef tangine pot with rice and we actually like the noodles more for taste. Honestly we just like noodles a lot so go with whatever you usually prefer I think. read more

I'd never heard of Bresse chickens before, but I'm a sucker for any sort of rich bone broth with noodles. The Bresse chicken used here apparently are sourced from Arlington. I, of course, ordered the Bresse chicken noodle soup with hand pulled noodles. My husband got the steak tagine. We also shared a plate of chicken potstickers. For dessert, we ordered the fried millet dough with red bean, and the miller cake with rose syrup. My suggestion is to stick with the chicken based dishes. My noodle soup was very good. Broth was nice and rich, on the plain side so you could really taste the chicken essence (?). It had very little actual chicken in it. The hand pulled noodles were not bad and I could've done without the hard boiled egg with a dry and crumbly yolk. The potstickers were also very good. It had a unique and richer flavor from the chicken. The steak tagine (not really steak but short rib) was just so so and comparable to chow mein. The desserts were a pass. Both were pretty bland. We also tried the seaberry juice. It was tart and just slightly sweet. Not sure if the broth is $15 good, but it is good. I can see it becoming a rainy-day go-to. read more

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

Unfortunately, our recent visit to 151 Days was a huge disappointment. We've dined here before and had much better experiences, which made this visit even more frustrating. The food quality has noticeably declined. The mapo tofu arrived cold, and when we asked if it could be heated up, the request was refused. A dish that is meant to be served hot should never reach the table cold in the first place. The beef lacked seasoning and flavor, tasting bland and uninspired. The crispy pork was equally disappointing the meat was tough, chewy, and lacked the crispy texture and flavor we expected. What concerns us most is how different everything tasted compared to previous visits. It honestly made us wonder if the chef has changed, if recipes have been altered, or if the restaurant has become too busy to maintain the same standards and attention to detail. Whatever the reason, the quality was simply not what it used to be. Dining out is becoming increasingly expensive, and customers expect food that reflects the prices they are paying. Sadly, this meal did not. We left feeling that the money we spent was not justified by the quality of the food or the overall experience. We sincerely hope 151 Days takes customer feedback seriously and returns to the level of quality that originally earned our support. My partner and I always try to eat somewhere new on Sundays. After some research, I found 151 Days website. They had Creamy Mushroom Soup with a baked pastry top for $12.75 and Braised Pork Belly for $8.75. With the recently opened Bellevue Link line, we took the train up to the Overlake station. Once we arrived to the location we were promptly seated. Since it was our first time there, we were a little confused by the cooking burners at the table. Once several visit from the wait staff, we finally got our answer. I asked for the Creamy Mushroom Soup and was told they don't offer it. Nor do they Braised Pork Belly for $8.75. I ended up ordering the Crispy Chicken Bento box, Braised Pork Belly with steam pastry and my partner order the Crispy Chicken plate. My bento box came out early so I had to sit and wait for my partners food to come. The food itself was low quality and by the time his food came our, my food was warm. The chicken was tough and fatty. The pork belly was alright but was extra-extra fatty. When the check came, I was shocked that they charged $26 for the Braised Pork Belly. Their food is quality good food. I know the owner of the restaurant and he owns a farm with really expensive strong chickens, where some of the food comes from. Their food is all handmade by the owner and his family and they work really hard to manage their restaurant. There is a bit of a wait but overall in good time. Good food does take time. The drinks are sweet and a bit tangy, and the food is a good portion. Will definitely come back. read more

I just noticed this chicken soup spot next to the Korean Hotpot buffet under my apartment. They are still at soft opening, so it takes a little while to have all the dishes out. Tastewise, my girlfriend and I really like their tureen chicken soup and chicken broth dumplings. Many of their dishes are related to chicken broth. So if you are a fan of broth and like Chinese food, you should definitely go check it out. read more

The business says they have outdoor seating, but when I asked, they said no. It was supposed to be a dog friendly outdoor seating location, but they said their staff are too busy to run back and forth inside and outside. If so, then take the outdoor seating tag off your place since it scammed us here from Seattle because of this description. Or maybe the workers are just lazy? read more
