My son and I used to LOVE this place when they used to have the Korean hotdogs and fresh fruit juice. Came here every Saturday after his jiu jitsu so we were super bummed when they stopped selling both! But as a person who loves Korean food, I still LOVE this place. It is now more of your typical k-town drink and eatery. This is located in the Pacific Plaza so there's plenty of parking spaces. My bestie and I fell in love with this place after having their spicy chicken feet awhile back. I know. Sounds super weird and gross. The 20 year old me would've said HELL FKN NO but the 39 year old me looooves it!! If you like Korean food in general, you'll like the flavor. Don't let the feet weird you out. It's like eating crabs, you won't get much meat off it but it's fun to eat. A bonus - lots of collagen in chicken feet so it's good for your skin if you're aiming for that Korean glass skin lol The stir fried baby octopus is just as fkn good. Tastes like your usual Korean spices with a good chew. It's hard to find places where they have baby octopus so I'm sooo happy they have this on the menu now. The seafood cream pasta was not bad. Overall it was good but too much of some kind of herb for me which I could've done without. Bestie said she thinks it wasn't creamy enough. There is plenty of seafood and frozen chopped veggies...if you're into that. Not bad. I'd still get it again if I was in the mood. I've also had their sausage and dduk bukki (rice cake) on a stick, spicy dduk bukki, and jjang pon (spicy seafood soup) before and they were all good! I wanted to like this place more, but overall it isn't bad. True rating is closer to a 3.5, but Yelp doesn't allow half star ratings. Parking is easy at this location, as it's in a shared plaza with several other restaurants and Tokyo central. Do keep in mind that it is best to come into this location and NOT expect or compare it to a pocha in Korea or K-town, as you'd be bound to be disappointed. However, on its own, and compared to other establishments in the South Bay Area this place isn't bad Service was straight and to the point-you won't get the superficial bells and whistles from American restaurants where people make small talk with you and check on you to see how you are. There are two uncles running the place, and they will promptly seat you and bring you food. When you are ready to have your order taken or if you have any extra needs beyond the basics, there is a doorbell for you to push. I strongly prefer this method of dining-you get what you need and you don't have a waiter trying to befriend you for an extra tip. I have a soft spot for establishments run by older aunties and uncles too Food came out rather quickly, and we had some hits and misses: -Oden/Fish cake soup: this was probably my favorite item we ordered. The broth was good, and the fish cakes were cooked well and not mushy. I wish there was more variety to the fish cakes though. Seemed like they had just 1 of each type of fish cake in this -Spicy ramen: it was okay. Noodles were more cooked than I would have liked, and I'm not a huge fan of hot dogs in ramen personally. -rice cake+ sausage skewer: A winner for me. Rice cakes are lightly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Sausages were delicious -Fried chicken: we got the plain one and it was...plain lol. I've had "plain" fried chicken at other Korean fried chicken establishments and found those to have more flavor. This one skews kind of bland. Overall, I would come back to this place. read more

A fun place to feel like you are in K-town but in local Gardena! Place was packed by 7pm Friday night with 2-3 parties waiting to get in the rest of the evening at all times. Food service was prompt and great at all times - waiter and waitresses are responsive and great! Being a 'hakujin' I love having the table button to request service - never gets old to me... spicy squid here is always great. The best dish on the menu? The deep-fried chicken gizzards - beware dipping in the garlic sauce - even for you Koreans it's fiercely strong - you'll have gizzard dragon breadth all night - make sure your partner is also enjoying it or sleep on the couch tonight... soju and pitch of beer is our go to usually! We've also enjoyed the tteok bokki and fried rice in the past. We haven't had anything yet that disappointed. Sooo good! A party of 8 us went on a Friday night and we got seated so quickly. Service was fast. We got the kimchi cheese fried rice and the Korean style chicken wings and it was so tasty! I never thought about adding cheese to fried rice, but the dish just works. The cheese gives it an umami flavor. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy and had the right amount of spice. It does have a kick to it, so having the jug of water nearby definitely helps. Can't wait to return! read more

We ordered the corn cheese, a bit on the sweeter end, and the sausage rice cake skewer, sweet and salty. They had a variety of sojus, beers, wines, etc. The service was great, they were very attentive and polite. The lighting inside was a bit brighter than I anticipated, considering it's a pocha, but it's not a big deal. There's a big parking lot too so don't worry about parking. So we've been waiting for a new place to open up where the popular (pre-pandemic) Tea Station used to be. Good news is I got a "hot and new" popup on my phone and guess what it was? 88 hot dog and pocha (which basically means street food - apologies for my rudimentary Korean) - this is something new - there are Korean hot dog spots and Korean BBQ and chicken spots (see my reviews) but not really a "street food" spot. They have sausage and tteok-bokki (rice cake) y'all!!! And a dalgona coffee that is really good. And they were playing kpop (for those of you who dig that). Great to see this large space occupied again. Cool hang out spot - they applied for a liquor license also...can't wait to see what it grows into. Absolutely delicious Korean bites. Another great hidden gem in Gardena. My friend and I ordered bulgogi, kimchi cheese fried rice, spicy Korean style chicken wings, and Tteok Bokki. Bulgogi came out sizzling, was tender and juicy. The wings bursted with flavor and had a nice crunch. We were provided a glove to enjoy the wings without leaving evidence! Cheese fried rice was perfectly cooked and had a nice balance of spice with a bonus fried egg on top. Tteok Bokki provided the comfort food feeling, couldn't get enough. Portions are generous, we packed leftovers to keep enjoying bites at home. Service was fast, we had all our dishes out within 10 min of ordering. Was looking for something late-night & glad I found 88 Pocha. The pickled veggies & cold kimchi to start the meal were perfect. The crunch, flavor and perfect spice level of the kimchi was amazing! I ordered the Tofu, Bulgogi, and Kimchi stir-fry. It was soooo good! White rice and a large portion of warm, cubed tofu was served on the side of the steaming kimchi with bulgogi. There was much more kimchi than bulgogi, but that just made every perfectly seasoned bite of bulgogi more of a treasure! It had a slight kick of heat & I found a couple slices of jalapeños hiding in it. I don't like things too hot. It was perfect for me. There is a bell for service on the edge of the table, so you decide just the right amount of service. The server was very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The interior is nothing to write home about. They must focus on the food. It kind of has a sports bar vibe with games on the TV's and beer ads on the walls. This place is where Tea station used to be. It is nice and spacious inside and very clean. I was the only customer as soon as I walked in. I already know what to order so I went straight to the cashier. The guy helping me not sure if he's the owner he was very nice guy, you will feel welcomed I like that vibe! Boiled pork belly dish, Sundae (Korean blood sausage), Bibimbap, Korean style chicken wings, all of the Tteok dishes.. everything was delicious and of high quality. The heat, sweet, and salty balance in the ttok boki was spot on. This balance is hard to do but they've mastered it here. Fish soup was perfect on the rainy day we were there. And the wings were awesome. We got the sauce on the side so the wings stay crispy just before we dip it in the sauce. At least that's the way we like it. They had no problems accommodating us. One of the best Korean food in the South Bay :) I usually go here with the family and my kids on the weekdays for dinner. They are so friendly and my kids love their fried octopus tempura and udon. Adults enjoy sweet and spicy fried chicken, jjolmyun (spicy chewy noodles with egg and slices of cucumber), and spicy pork bbq. I plan on trying the army stew next time!
