3.8 stars As far as AYCE shabu is concerned, I think this restaurant does a decent job. I can't say that it's the best, but it fulfills hotpot cravings. Additionally, they have filet mignon, ribeye, and lamb (for dinner & weekend). For the base, I chose spicy beef broth, which I thought was ok. It wasn't spicy enough for me, but adding chili oil helps. The unlimited veggies and seafood were quite nice. Notably, the shrimp was a decent size and not the scrawny kind. Fishballs were a bit limited to 2 types, I think. Noodle selection was ok. Veggies are a large selection of napa cabbage, bok choy, kale, spinach, bean sprouts, corn, broccoli, mushrooms, and etc. The kimchi and cucumber kimchi are decent as well. The sauces are create your own and, unless you already have a go-to recipe in your head, it can be quite difficult to know which sauces to mix. So I kinda hope they will eventually stick some recipe posters/stickers/suggestions near the sauce station. The only things I wish they did a better job with was their japchae, other cooked dishes, and amount of meat on the dish. Parts of the glass noodles are hard and clumped together or it's been sitting there too long. The fried rice and gochuchang fried chicken (?) looked dry and could use some refilling. The meat is sliced thinly and quite enjoyable to eat, but when each plate is 6 small slices or between 7-8 small slices, it's hard to like the restaurant more. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. Because it was so busy, my large group got split up to 2 tables on opposite sides of the aisle after waiting a lot longer with the hope of sticking together. So, I almost think smaller groups work best here. Price is about $32 per person for dinner. read more

The service was great when we first started visiting, but has gone done hill in the last few weeks. The ladies are quite strict about the 90 minutes and they tell us every time. We're pretty careful to adhere to the 90 minutes, but the last time we were there, no one came to take our order for the last 20 minutes. I was trying to go find a server to get a meat order in, but only one lady was serving other tables. Finally got to try All That Shabu! The wait wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but do prepare to wait if you're planning to come here for dinner, especially when it's cold outside. That's the best time to have Shabu Shabu if you ask me. We had a party of 4 and arrived around 6:15 pm on a weekday, and the wait was about 20 minutes max. We got seated and got our broth and meat orders right away. Each table can only order 3 meats max and you can grab as much veggies, seafood, meatballs, noodles and rice at the buffet section as you want. I'm a noodle person so I was happy they have all types of noodles such as konjac , fresh noodles (regular or spinach) instant noodles (portion in half ) the best. Not to mention, but they all have cooked sides such as fried rice, japchae and fried chicken bites. Service: The workers were great. Everything is mid or below par here. The soup bases are salty and rich in msg. Lack of any true flavor, the staff comes around with carts with jugs of this mass produced hogwash to fill your pot. It's winter and time for warm comforting soups and hot pot and shabu are my go tos. This spot is located in a shopping center near Sprouts and right across from Big Catch so parking is pretty convenient in the lot. My bf and I go typically go late like around 8:30 or 9pm so we've never really had much of a wait and get seated pretty quickly. There's a lot of tables and booths available. Service has usually been pretty decent, waiters ask what broth you want and you order 3 plates of meat at a time. And they're usually pretty attentive so I've never had to flag them down too much to order more meat. I really like the selection at the salad bar: great mix of veggies, tofus, and lots of seafood. There's also a good amount appetizers like fried chicken, bulgogi, japchae, cucumber salad and Korean potato salad. The AYCE price includes beverage too so you help yourself to a selection of soft drinks or tea. Unfortunately the few times we've gone the soft serve machine only had vanilla even when you tried the swirl or chocolate option :( As for the broth I usually get a mix of their spicy beef and miso which has the perfect amount of spice and umami. The meats are pretty good quality as well. We usually sample all the meats except for chicken. Our faves are prob the brisket, ribeye and pork belly. Prices have gone up incrementally since we started coming here but in line with most AYCE shabu spots. Overall I would recommend coming especially if you're in the area. read more

One of my new favorite places to go for AYCE hot pot! During dinner hours, the line gets really long. I waited for almost an hour, but the food was all worth it. Each individual gets their own pot of broth. I got the beef bone broth and loved it. For meat selections, a table can order up to 3 per round. I tried all of the meats except pork and chicken. My top choices are the signature beef ribeye and beef short plate. The servers were very attentive and would immediately ask if we wanted another round of meat. There is a lot of variety at their salad bar. I tried a few of their hot foods, but they were not any good. Just stick with hot pot ingredients, like seafood, veggies, and noodles. There is also a nice selection of sauces to choose from with toppings like green onions, cilantro, garlic, radish, and lemon. In addition, they offer self-serve drinks, including lemon water, sodas, green tea, and black tea. I like their black tea the most. All That Shabu - to be read with an exclamation because it's All You Can Eat! I had seen this place for years but never ventured inside until recently. The wait time here is quite lengthy, and the wait time estimates were quite inaccurate; we were quoted for 45 minutes, and it ended up being almost 90 minutes. Thankfully, our hangriness dissipated once we were seated. There are a variety of broths, meats and veggies here; keep in mind that you're only allowed three dishes of meats for each round. The only difficult that I had here was that my personal stove didn't run as hot, and getting my broth to boil was not a fun experience. I enjoyed that they had many dipping sauce options and a lot of smaller portions. I'm no longer the "eat to get my money's worth" and I enjoyed that they had fried chicken amongst other small portions of vegetables and side dishes that I could enjoy. my family drives over an hour to go here! the wait is always long and parking is honestly bad, but it's such an amazing meal to have which makes it worth it. the restaurant is large and they accommodate for big parties. the service is impressive considering how busy they are. there is a bar of cooked food and korean sides and a loooong buffet style bar of things to put on your soup from veggies to fishballs to eggs to noodles! there is also a section with all the sauce options. make sure to mix everything to make a yummy sauce to dip your meat and veggies in! you get to choose your broth, and i like the easy access to adjust the heat temp as im eating. the meat slices are extremely thin, so be prepared to get your rounds in! to end your meal, they have soft serve to enjoy. even though its all you can eat, i notice i never feel disgustingly full afterwards. looking forward to my next visit! read more

Well, I originally chose Boiling Point, but my friend said it's a milestone b-day so why not someplace fancier. She wanted me to choose the place. I wanted hotpot so I started Yelping for what's out there in the San Gabriel Valley. All That Shabu came through in my search. So glad it did! Otherwise, we may have went to Shabuya instead LOL. When I first drove to the cross street of Garfield Ave and Main Street, I saw All That Shabu at the corner. My first thought was where do I park??? Don't worry. There is lots of parking at the Alhambra Place where All That Shabu is located. My friend arrived first and was seated before I got here. She had already retrieved some of the frozen ingredients for her hotpot. Each person gets their own individual hotpot which I prefer. I grabbed 3 plates of goodness for my hotpot. I never went back for seconds because I grabbed lots from the get go LOL. I loved my delicious hotpot... it had so much seafood flavors! Yummy!!! When it came to the broth, you may choose one and/or more in other words you may mix them. I got original house + spicy beef mix... just savory and tasty!! As for the meats, only 3 kinds of meats max per round per table at one time. We got chicken breast, pork belly, and pork collar butt. Yeah, we're not beef eaters so no beef got on our table... it's all good. Cook the pork well, but don't leave the chicken in too long otherwise it becomes tough and dry. Please note the meats are sliced extremely thin LOL. You may have to go through several rounds of meats. We only got one round of meats because we wanted more seafoods. They have many seafoods (soft shell crabs, head shrimps, squids, mussels, various beef and seafood balls, scallops, fish, and more), tofu, veggies (cabbage, bok choy, tong ho, spinach, bean sprouts, pumpkin, etc), mushrooms, and more selections. Two sides have the same stuff so two lines can be formed one from each side. They also have other appetizers and snacks. Sauces and condiments, rice, and drink stations are available. Huge seating area. Staff was nice and attentive whenever we needed something. You have 90 mins to wrap it up on your All You Can Eat shabu shabu! They probably won't kick you out if you're finishing up your hotpot, but you probably shouldn't get anymore hotpot stuff... maybe the occasional ice cream and drink is okay. Btw, weekend price is $33.99 per adult. It's cheaper if you're under a certain age. Weekday prices are less by $7.00ish. It's almost the price of two Boiling Point hotpots, but you can have as many as you like here as long as you can fit the goodness in your tummy in 90 mins LOL. It's a really nice setup IMHO. I typically don't like eating shabu as I've gotten sick from eating at BP before and ever since then I'm not necessarily a fan of it, but this place may convert me again. The lines for All That Shabu can be daunting (we still had to wait 30 minutes at opening on a Saturday) so try to come early or be prepared to wait. The Shabu shabu Place is located in a shopping plaza, which has plenty enough parking, but it does get a dinner rush so I would say come right before that. I love that they have free ice cream at the end. I recommend getting the sesame bars and pairing them together. Also, you can do a Dr. pepper float with the ice cream that's provided the service is really self-serve. They have five types of broth and eleven types of meats plus they also have seafood,noodles,vegetables and other items at the restaurant. Love this place. The variety on the bar is good, especially having hot items as well. Many of these AYCE shabu places don't have that. We like the serve yourself aspect of everything here, especially drinks. Quality and variety of the meats is also great, again especially in comparison to other all you can eat places. Where they lose ground is in only being able to order 3 meats at a time regardless of your party size, if you ask a waiter for something (like a napkin) they point to the bar, and finally in the flavor of their broths. This last point on the broth, I don't give them too much guff about this, they have great sauces you can add to your broth base. Overall we really really like this place and will keep coming back. The both time I was here I got the miso and hubby got the spicy beef. Both broths are really good base soups. We are allowed to get 3 types of meat each round and I love all their beef selection. There are some that are better than others especially the fatty ones. They have great selection on the veggies and also the side dishes, that you can grab yourself. Two months later I return to the scene of her crime. Prior to my last experience, I enjoyed coming here so no need for one evening to mar my other times coming here. I'm not sure if it was the same manager (?) that helped us but she was nice and accommodating so I'll update the review. There are about six different broths but I always go with the vegetarian and I find the non meat options plentiful from mushrooms, seafood (shrimp, mussels, squid and fish balls) and greens (napa cabbage, bok chow, kale (on one side of the bar), chrysanthemum - they're the slightly bitter leaves on the opposite side of the bar. The pre cooked warm food are ok (dried fried chicken, sweet beef, spicy fried chicken, noodles and sesame ball - lowkey delicious if they're fresh) although if you're super starved, they're good enough. The main floor of the restaurant (save for the restroom, yuck, -1 star for that atrocity) was as pleasantly clean as it was well stocked. Overall, if you're really hungry but in the mood for something beyond the typical hot pot fixings (I.e., veggies, meat), the sides offered at the self-service bar will make for the ultimate and complete meal. I wondered what that restaurant was about and asked him if we should get our friends together for Father's Day dinner. He highly recommend this establishment for our gathering! Reservations were made for 5pm for ten people. We were split up into three tables. Each of us had our own burner and pot of broth. I chose the House Broth and later tried the Beef Bone Broth. Aaron said his Miso Broth was delicious... and Jun had no complaints about his Spicy Broth. Our servers were efficient and friendly. They brought us our meats. We chose three at a time. We started with number 8, 9, and 10: filet mignon, ribeye, and chuck flap. Then we tried numbers 1, 2, and 3: brisket, wgyu style, and flat iron. Our next round was 4, 5, and 6: Chuck eye, pork belly, and pork collar. At the end of our session, we got the chicken and lamb. The meats were thinly sliced for quicker cooking! The buffet area was amazing! We helped ourselves to the cooked items like chop chae and karaage chicken, soft drinks, soft serve ice cream, fresh veggies, seafood like shrimp and scallops, and other goodies such as aburaage and quail eggs! Toppings (green onion, daikon, lemon wedges, etc.) and sauces (I liked peanut the best) were available at the buffet bar. This was such a fun feast! Our two hour time limit went by quickly. Although parking was difficult to find (especially on a Friday evening), it was worth every second for this meal! I've been here several times with my family and every experience has been overly positive; The meat is decent quality and waiters are attentive. The veggie/seafood/sauce stations are always stocked and ready for use. You can expect kids in this environment, as well as a moderate level of noise, but the tables are separated from one another in a way that you wouldn't really notice. My only minor complaint would be that the broths are a little underwhelming in terms of richness, but that's nothing a little sauce can't fix!
