It was our first experience in an Italian restaurant in LA. The recipe was really original. The pasta was so delicious with a great sauce but a little bit hotter than what I expected. The Lasagna was really tasty too. The cheese balls were a great start with delicious cheese inside. Also, the dessert was really pleasing with pistachios and cream inside. The only downside of this place was its waiters in my opinion. They were a little bit rude and careless for a place like this. That's the reason I gave them 4 stars. read more

The food is always great. The service is always spot on. Dig All'Acqua because it's a place I can always count on. The pasta is fresh, and the food is always a little better than I remember or expect it to be, which is a delightful reason to keep coming back! Northeast LA has a lot of spots that come and go. This restaurant is always reliably wonderful for everything from date nights to bringing out-of-towners. Stopped by once recently when I couldn't get a table at the new, hip spot, and the other place had a 2 hour wait. They seated me at the bar and took such good care of me. Second visit here and once again we had an outstanding meal with friendly and attentive (but not overbearing) service. We started with the grilled octopus and the burrata with prosciutto. Both were delicious. The burrata was so large I could have just had that with a size salad for dinner (but of course I didn't). It was hands down the absolutely best prosciutto I have every had- ever. Even in Italy. My wee complaint (suggestion) is that they should give you more bread than two half pieces. That would make it a 100% in my book. For meals we had linguini & clams (super yummy, but it's a European-sized portion so be sure to get a starter), and the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli which I added the Meatball appetizer too as well. (Yes, I am a glutton, but I ended up with lunch for tomorrow). The ravioli was spot on and delicious. The meatballs were really good, but I feel like they maybe should have been cook a bit longer. We also got a (pricey - $10) bottle of sparking wine and two glasses of wine. Total with tax and tip was $209.54. Pricey yes. But it was a really good meal and I got a lunch out of it as well. This place was so good. Our waitress was so informative and helped us in our selection. I had the pasta bolognese and my husband had the pasta with sausage, broccolini and breadcrumbs. We both enjoyed the food. We topped it off with the butterscotch dessert. That was amazing. Would definitely go back if we were ever in that area again. This place is a great Italian dining place for family or for a casual romantic date. Their food is pretty tasty with many different choices (mainly pizza and pasta). Since Covid, they have converted part of their parking lot as outdoor dining spot. So if you go there on a nice weather day, it's a great place to eat outdoor. There were good amount of free street parking spaces available. Only downside is their food prices are on a pricey side. For 4 people, I paid about $250-300 for 4 main dishes and 2 drinks. I want to preface my review with this: if you want to come here for a date night, I would highly recommend. The food is great. The ambiance is charming. The following review is for my birthday celebration I had in March. There is a serious disconnect between their online booking system, whoever manages their social media, and management. I specifically wanted to be seated inside (their outside seating has been converted from their parking lot- not bad but does not match the ambiance and charm of inside) I wanted to book for 6 pm but their online system would only permit me to have a party of 25 inside if the dinner was earlier at 5pm so I edited my reservation accordingly. I had been in touch on and off with the person who manages their Instagram and I specifically asked them if they could handle large parties of 20 or more. They said Yes, and I let them know I booked a party of 25 at 5pm so I could have the party inside which their online system let me do to which they replied "Great! See you then!" 3 days before my birthday celebration, I received a call from the Manager and asked me to give him a call back regarding my event. It was here that things took a downward turn. He started by telling my party had to be outdoors because there was no way they could accommodate a party of 25 inside. This was disappointing because I specifically booked my party earlier to have it inside, which their reservation app let me do, which I also confirmed with their Instagram account via DM's. He then asked me if we were ordering a la carte or family style. I replied 'Likely a la carte' to which he replied. 'No, we cannot do à la carte with a party that big. My kitchen would not be able to handle and that it must be family style, like a 'few pizzas and salads' Okay... But if I do not have the option of à la carte... WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU NOT JUST STATE THAT TO BEGIN WITH =?! He also said only ONE check for the entire party. He offered to meet me the Friday before the party to go over the menu options, to which I agreed. I meet this Manager on Friday afternoon before their dinner open. I am thinking he will have some sort of set menu for me for my party or specific suggestions, but he does not. Instead, he hands me the menu to look over (I could have done this online...) I ask how do I order family style when the restaurant isn't optimized for that (except for their pizzas) and was then advised to order multiples of things (was not given recommendation or options for these multiple menu 'items' ... and to have that makeshift set menu ready at the start of the party so he could prepare the kitchen. I reiterated there was a disconnect between their online reservations and social media Manager, as I communicated and confirmed to both indoor seating, to which he responded unapologetically that he could not have a party 'that big' inside. I left very sad. Instead of trying to make this a lovely birthday celebration, these conversations were centered around how I needed to make the dinner party as easy as possible for the staff and impressed upon me that my party of 25 was more of a burden to the restaurant and it was on ME to make things easy for them. I would have changed venues, but it was the day before the event and everyone notified, it was too late to change venues. I wanted to cry after I left. I had been so sick for my last two birthdays, so this year I wanted to do something special. I want to be fair, I will say the actual dinner party itself was lovely. The Manager whom I had dealt with was out unexpectedly that night. I was relieved he wasn't there. The Manager who took charge of my birthday was friendly, professional and kind which I very much appreciated. My Server was great, and so was the staff assisting with the party. I am just sad and disappointed as to how I was treated beforehand, and to come into the restaurant thinking we were a burden. That's a terrible way to start a celebration and I hope they reconsider how they handle large parties if they wish to still have them at all. read more

We were there 2x within a week. It's noticeable coz we ordered the same appetizer and dessert. There was no consistency on both. No shishito pepper and the chocolate on the lava cake was not melted at all. The pizza dough was kind of burnt. Although the pastas was good for my friends except for the carbonara was bland. Went with my husband and his friend for dinner. Ordered some appetizers and mains. Unfortunately none of the appetizers we would order again. But all the mains were fantastic. The diavlo pizza was great. But a bit spicer than expected. The spaghetti carbonara and the fettuccine bolognese were next level. For dessert we ordered the cannolis which were probably the best cannolis we've ever had and the crème brûlée which was not set and soupy, so I wouldn't order it again. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and it wasn't too loud or busy. We've been eating at All'Acqua since they opened in 2014. Always good food and good service - until Saturday, May 10, 2025. My 12 year old grandson wanted to celebrate his birthday there, so we made a reservation for our family of 6. Since the 11 years we've been eating here, this was the worst experience we've ever had. The service was absolutely terrible. We sat for 30 minutes before our order was taken. Two tables sat after us and got their food before we even ordered! Then, one of the pasta dishes with mushrooms we ordered had grit in it. Probably from the mushrooms. The owner said that wasn't the case but he didn't try it. To their credit, they didn't charge us for that entree. Then my grandson's birthday boy dinner got overlooked. They brought him something he didn't order. So, we all had our dinners and the table cleared before his entree was served. He took a few bites and we boxed the rest to go. We've all had good and bad days so I can accept that. However, I just can't believe this all happened and no acknowledgment from the owner. I would rate this experience as a one star but give it three based on past experiences. Maybe after 11 years, it's showing its age. I'm going to think twice about returning. read more

Have not been here in a while, but LOVED MY DINNER last night. A touch surprised it was not that busy. It was seriously good! Our waitress Jordan was really really good. Service was on point. ***Not a huge fan of wood fire pizza, but their pizza / crust is amazing vs most places serving floppy wet pizza cooked this style. Had the mushroom pizza and just delicious. The Bronzino fish was excellent. It was cooked way better / different than the last time we ordered it and did not like. Highly recommend. ***The potato they serviced with the fish are addictive. I've visited this restaurant in the past and had the pizza. This time I ventured more into the seasonal dish. Osso bucco served on a bed of risotto and just a touch of flavorful gravy from the Osso bucco stock. The flavors complement the dish separately as well as together in your mouth. Had a pizza which I kept tearing the edges to soak up the Osso bucco juices. You may pair it with a red wine or a blond Italian . . . . Beer that is. The service was top notch, she kept checking up on me to see if I was in need of something else or just to see if I was alright. The ambiance was classy casual I would say. We've been frequenting All'Acqua for the past 5 years. During the pandemic, they were a staple in our household; as AA was open for delivery and takeout. They even had takeout cocktails in mason jars, which were a lifesaver. But hey, don't judge us... we were locked in a house with 3 kids for almost two years. Now that we've seemed to return to a sense of normalcy, we dine-in at AA every couple of weeks. Each time, the service and food are consistently great. The garlic bread is heavenly, especially when you order it with a side of meatballs. For our main course, we always split a steak, pizza, and pasta. You really can't go wrong with any pizza or pasta there. If you like seafood, try the Nero ( black) Spaghetti with Dungeness Crab. Thank me later ! Came here with my three year old. Service was great (maybe because it was 5:30 pm). The ambiance was cozy and couple-y (so not exactly the right mood for us, but nothing I'd normally mind). He got the buttered spaghetti (of course) and I got the lamb lasagna (also, of course, if you know me). Both were great as comfort food but way too buttery, oily and greasy for my taste. His hands were literally glistening from the butter and my dish had a nice ring of oil around it. I realize that this is a common style of cooking in Italian food, it's just not for me. I also got the sun and smoke cocktail, which was fine but not very well balanced IMO. The food was a 3, but the service and atmosphere was a 5 so we've landed at a 4. Will we be back? The restaurant is warm and inviting. There is plenty of parking and a nice patio with heaters outside. We shared a of margherita pizza and I had Corn Agnolotti both dishes were excellent depth of flavor and the portions were generous. I had the daily Om cocktail and could have had another - it was amazing. For dessert we shared the Ricotta cheesecake and it was a perfect finish to a perfect meal. I would have to say that the service is the highlight of the experience. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. They also balance attentiveness with allowing enough space to breathe. We ate inside but I think next time I will try the outdoor eating area. It was a family gathering celebrating father's day and everyone had a nice time. Three words...Wood-GrilledOctopus... I always drive past when going to the post office..."Gotta try that place one of these days". Well today was the day! Thank God for parking lots, heaters and tents! In this time of COVID, it's great to eat outdoors and have great service to boot. We first looked at their menu and read the reviews before going to dinner. For a Saturday night at 8 pm, the place was packed and yet we only waited about 10 minutes to get sat. After we placed our order, the food came within 15 minutes. I think it was because we got the wood-grilled octopus and fish. We also added the Caesar salad because it was a good portion and looks good too. The octopus was so tender and juicy! Not dry like at other restaurants that have it on the menu. They lay it on a bed of mixed citrus, olives and red peppers that have a nice kick to it. The balance of the spicy peppers and citrus worked well with the octopus. The fish was simple and really didn't have a lot of flavor. That is a good thing since you were able to taste the natural flavor of the Branzino. For dessert we ordered the butterscotch budino and it was pure heaven. Just order it and you won't regret it. From the Yelp pictures I see a lot of diversity in their menu and hope they bring back the Delmonico steak. If not, my next meal will be the rack of lamb.
