We have our food delivered and have tried a variety of the dishes. The deliveries are alwayson time and the food arrived hot and with a smile. The gentlemen who deliver our meals are courteous and make sure the gate was closed upon leaving. (This is such a blessing, because I am so tired of being terrified that my Pommies will be hit by a car after they escape when the gate is left open by an errant delivery person.) We have had the Seafood Combo with the BBQ chicken. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the fish perfectly cooked and delicious and the shrimp were perfect. The mac salad was good and the rice was rice. The kabobs are wonderfully marinated. If we had to pick the two favorites they would be the shrimp and the chicken wings; but the beef, lamb and pork sausage links are delicious too. They are the perfect finger food. A great appetizer for one person. I have to admit, that we end up ordering more than one kebab per person. We have tried most of the different dinners. Perfectly marinated beef, pork, and chicken are offset by the rice and mac salad. The chicken and pork Katsu are great and crispy and delicious. The Atkins plates and the health choices are equally as good. We usually order the kim chee which is a nice and, not too hot, accompaniment. We have tried the Spam as well as the Portuguese Sausage Masubi. Good thing we ordered both. I preferred the Spam Masubi and one of my buddies loved the Portuguese Sausage. It is a full slice of Spam on sushi rice wrapped in a seaweed band. Who knew Spam could be so flavorful?! Really yummy. The Pork Katsu Masubi is to fight for, you do have to special order the dipping sauce. I usually buy a set of 3 so I can have a Masubi "sandwich" the next day for lunch. We found the Popcorn chicken! Incredible and full flavored. Best of all, it is not too greasy. So yummy. I have it and a couple of Kim Chee's. I am set for the evening. If you are hungry for an appetizer, try the "Pan Fried Onion Cake". It is full of delicious flavor. Unfortunately, if one tolerates little grease, it is a little grease; but it is soooo yummy! Kalua Pork is like a wonderful salad, but without the heaviness with mayo. (The is NO mayo.) The flavor is delicate, yet distictive. I eat it as I would a tuna or chicken salad. I usually eat it with a little of the rice. It was perfect and it will be ordered again. One of my friends loves the hamburgers, onion rings, and fries from the Aloha. I thought, well, if those are so great, then the Hamburger Steak should be delicious too! The only thing good about that dish was the wonderful gravy and rice. Otherwise the "steak" was way over cooked and the salad was undressed green lettuce. This is honestly the only thing I have eaten and not been pleased with from Aloha. I will not order it again, nor will I order the hamburger. This dish scared me off of the burger section. The menu is very pleasing. One does not need to order the typical Hawaiian meal which is heavy with carbs. You can order an "Atkins" type meal or even meals with salads and a little brown rice. They have noodle dishes which we are looking forward to trying. There are vegetarian dishes. They also have hamburgers for those folks who are just hungry for plain American fare. Needless to say, we will be ordering more meals from the Aloha BBQ. We are very pleased with the dishes we ordered. read more

I hate giving bad reviews, I honestly do. I normally go to Hawaiian Drive down a few blocks, sadly their delivery guy wasn't there at the time therefore my little brother and I decided to order from this place. The food arrived within an hour which to me was reasonable, standard time to wait for the food. The woman who delivered my food handed me the food as if she was mad and to make matters worse my food was cold. DO NOT GO HERE! I got food poisoning 15 minutes after eating my take out meal. I had the chicken katsu and saw that some parts of the meat had a grayish color to it, but I didn't notice until after I ate a few pieces. Even the broccoli tasted old and rubbery. Do not waste your money here, they should be ashamed for charging their customers and serving rotten food. Aloha BBQ ruined my lunch today. Sadly... I decided to give them a try based on the menu they hung on my door a few days ago. I've been having a thing for Hawaiian BBQ recently so I'm trying to find my preferred spot and this is definitely not it. The portions ate so small compared to the previous 2 other places I have tried this week and the BBQ ribs I ordered were so salty. Isn't BBQ supposed to be on the sweeter side ? Anyways. What totally ruined the experience is that I ordered take out, went to pick up my food, took it home and I saw 3 tiny pieces of short ribs and 3 scoops of rice, when I had clearly requested No Rice, Extra Mac Salad. They got it wrong. 3 stars for me for not checking my food at the restaurant but who does anyways ? I wasn't go get in my car, drive 10 minutes and demand my Mac Salad... aghh.. I ordered from aloha bbq for delivery. Within about five minutes of placing my online order, I realized I needed to cancel it because of a situation that came up. I immediately called their listed number to notify them. I repeatedly called this number 65 times in attempt to cancel my order. Every time I called, it went to a voice-mail machine. Eventually, someone showed up with the food. I explained to her that I tried to call several times, showed her the calls on my phone, then called the number in front of her so that she could hear for herself. I politely explained I tried to cancel this order. Instead of apologizing for their phone being out of service or simply saying ok, she cursed me out at my door. She absolutely lost her mind and was extremely rude demanding that I explain why I needed to cancel my order. I am seriously shocked by how she reacted when I proved to her I attempted to cancel the order and showed her that their phone was not working. I placed an order and it was never delivered. The wait time was estimated to be 1 hour which was reasonable for our large order (approx $60) worth of food. I had 4 hungry kids to feed. The hour came and went and no food. I called them and asked how much longer. The lady who answered asked for my address and said it would be 5 more minutes to arrive. Waited another 30 minutes patiently and no food. I called them and no answer. The call went to voicemail. I contacted Eat24 and they got on the line with the owner who told them there was a mix up and the food would not be delivered. A 2 hour wait at this point and no food with starving kids. I ended up making sandwiches for them and off to bed. This was a total screw up! Never again will I order from them. My husband and I would order from them weekly, but after this ordeal...NEVER AGAIN!! I will also let all my friends snd family know not to order from this place. Eat24 tried to help remedy the situation by calling the owner and offering a $7 coupon for my next order. My suggestion to them would be not to do business with this place. read more

Horrible. I ordered via Grub Hub as pick up instead of delivery, so I contacted the restaurant. After spending 10 minutes on the phone trying to explain the situation to someone who clearly didn't understand, they informed me that there was a delivery minimum. We added some drinks to get the total above their $25 minimum & offered to pay the difference in cash. An hour & a half later the food FINALLY arrived, but the driver did not bring the drinks. It took a lot of explaining for him to understand why I wasn't going to pay him any additional cash since he didn't have the items I was required to order for the delivery. He made me wait while he contacted his restaurant, inevitably letting me leave without paying the additional cash. Too much hassle for room temperature mediocre food. read more

Driver was rude! No stars for this one! She was waiting in the car. I only found this out when the driver called me back after she had hung up on me the first time. My daughter had been waiting in the lobby for her (at least 10 minutes). So I asked the driver to please go to the lobby and she yells, "Your daughter??? OH MY GOD!" And hung up again. I will never order from this place again. Worst experience ever!!! To make it worst my daughter is disabled so it was a big inconvenience for her to get her food. I might be a bit biased since I lived near an L&L for a while but the Hawaiian BBQ place across the street is better than this place too. I had Spam Musubi, the Atkins Plate and a Chicken Katsu bowl delivered. The rice in the Musubi and Katsu bowl was really poor as it was grainy and dry. I could taste the oldness of the fryer oil in the chicken katsu too. The Atkins plate was decent but chicken katsu is like the staple of every hawaiian BBQ spot and I didn't like it at all. Bear in mind the bowl is not the same as a normal plate as it substitutes mac salad for some boiled cabbage and broccoli. read more
