We buy grilled chicken salads every week there. You can tell who the cooks are by the way they put the salad together. On Friday July 7 2023 at bout 4:30 we bought two salads. I got home and I had just a hand full of lettuce in my salad. I just wish it would be consistent. But as they say .. they always get you the the drive thru. Stopped by A/O on our way home. Been in search for some good pastrami. This place did not disappoint!! Only drive thru available due to Covid so had to wait to eat until we got home. The parara I was delicious! So we had to try it again now that indoor seating is available for now.... Has a the hamburger and bacon cheeseburger specials and again the food was delicious! Some of the best burgers in Los Angeles. Nothing pretentious or gaudy, just a straightforward great burger, excellently executed. Quality ingredients, perfectly cooked, and perfectly balanced, every single time, and I've gone there a lot. Fries, onion rings, and fried zucchini are all excellent as well. This place gives you a great bang for your buck! Not only was the food was a good value the pastrami was delicious and juicy. The sandwich was stacked with an inch of pastrami and the mustard and pickle help cut through the fatty taste of the pastrami. They were also accommodating and allowed me to add kore onion rings instead of getting a salad for the pastrami dinner combo ($13). One thing I notice is that they are a unit and work together as a well oiled team. The only thing that can be improved on is the bread can get soggy quick. A fix might be to add a layer of cheese or something to separate the meat from the bread. Overall I'm always happy to come back to a local business that serve good food at a great value. read more

I've been here twice already to grab a breakfast burrito (bacon and sausage with cheese, hashbrowns and eggs on a toasted tortilla) and let me just tell you... it's so good! Most places make their breakfast burritos with chunky potatoes but these crispy hashbrowns really provide texture and taste to this burrito which makes all the difference. Highly recommend calling in for your order which takes 5-10 mins or else wait in the drive-thru. Janky cemented pathway but don't let that deter you. I'm updating this review because although I said i'd have a hard time coming back after the mystery meat milkshake fiasco, their breakfast burritos just can't be beat, and I haven't had a negative experience like the one from my other review since. fries (and ranch) are still god tier, their chicken tenders always hit, and the people working there are so kind and accommodating. This place gets super busy at breakfast, so don't say I didn't tell you. Its a tiny little Covina staple, right at the corner, with a drive-thru. The breakfast burrito is a classic. I love it with extra cheese, extra crispy hashbrowns and a side of sour cream. All the people are very friendly and the typical Covina crowd is all here. I can't remember, but it may be cash only... or they charge a minimum for cards, something like that, so call and check. I actually have never had a burger here, just breakfast. read more

I placed a phone order, which went well. You're order will be ready in 15-20 minutes. It wasn't until I got to the restaurant that everything went south. Now mind you, I love this place. I waited in line as does any unpaid customer. There was only one register open, until I was next, then second register opened taking the guy behind me. When I finally reached the register I was greeted by what I realized was a trainee. I told her I'm here to pick up a phone order for David. A bit confused she asked a few workers where my order might be then looked at the register, a second later the trainer handed her the phone and said here answer this. The trainee answered the phone then proceeded to input a phone order. I stood there until the trainer was done with the customer she was helping but as soon as she was done she started telling the trainee what to ask and what to do on the register. I stood there another minute or so and no one said anything to me. At least you're order will be ready Ina minute or something. Instead I turned around and sat down hoping once they were done with the phone order that they would then continue to help me. More people started walking in and as they approached the register their orders were taken. I sat there for another 10 minutes before one of the cooks said something bringing it to the trainers attention that I was still waiting. The trainer then started asking the trainee if she rang me up and what the process was when people with phone orders come in, still not asking me anything, then starts explaining to the trainee they're supposed to let the cooks know then a phone order walks in because they don't make the fries until the customer is there, but of course when I first went up to the register and the trainee asked where my order was the cooks had made the fries. I sat there as my food got cold. It's not like I was on the other side of the restaurant. I was right in front of them the entire time. Finally the trainer said I can ring you up right here. I paid and waited another 10 minutes for my shakes. I don't complain, ever. And maybe I should have. I hope the pissed look on my face was enough. No apologies though so likely not. I've waited so long to rate this place because I really wanted to like it. But in reality it's on the "meh" range when compared to some other burger joints. That's the problem. There are just too many burger joints... too much competition that's better out there. The fries were ok, nothing spectacular. The burger was kinda small and just "meh". Nothing special.
