The zucchini app was an explosion of creamy goat cheese, lightly fried with a wonderful dipping sauce that left you wanting 10 more. I wasn't too impressed with this place and it was pretty pricey. I ordered the wagyu burger which was sweet with the caramelized jam and onions. It kinda fell apart in my hands and became wet. Chips that came with it were bland. Honestly wouldn't order the burger again. Also got the dish risotto/rice? dish with large prawn. Presentation was great and looked amazing but the prawn was overrated and did not wow us. With the high reviews of Aqua Pazza, we had high expectations. In short, the food was a 3-star and the service was a 2-star. We travel a lot and love good restaurant experiences, with Charleston, SC dining being one of our favorite destinations. Anyways, the service issues: Served sparkling water almost room temp without ice. Had to be reminded on 3 occasions to bring a drink I requested. Requested butter for bread but never brought. No pepper mill service for our food. At a few times, responses to our questions were almost rude and made us feel like he didn't have the time or patience. Never even asked if we were interested in desert at end of meal. I don't like being rushed through dinner at any restaurant but everything here took way too long. They appeared to be understaffed. The food issues: The cocktail shrimp were sold by shrimp (who does that?) 4$ each... They were large but overcooked. The limes for our sparkling water were dried out and you could not squeeze any juice out of them. The eggplant Parmesan was mediocre at best. The Zucchini Flower Chips were very good but was disappointed that an appetizer was the main event of the meal. The Whole Pig Bolognese was a non-traditional white sauce, which was fine but it was on the dry side and under seasoned. One of us had the Lobster roll and again, it was fine but no wow factor. This has all the potential to be a great restaurant but it fell extremely short. I I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the crab carbonara. Both had rave reviews. Both were utterly dissatisfying. While the scallops were cooked perfectly the cauliflower purée should not have made the plate. The bland concoction tasted like baby food and lacked even the tiniest hint of flavor. I have no idea why the hazelnuts were present either. Yum yum yum! Went for Restaurant Week. The service was impeccable. We each had the charred octopus with eggplant which was sublime (i could have had two orders!). Hubby had seafood risotto (very good) and I had lobster ravioli. The sauce was amazing....a bit briny with a bit of a kick to it. The deconstructed tiramasu was divine! With all the good reviews my expectations were high but the service and food really reflect the rating. (Just to note we went early around 5:15 stayed for about an hour and by the time we left it was filling up). What we ordered: - Half dozen Moon shoal oysters - Risotto w/ scallops and shrimp - Pomodoro - 1 glass ea. of white wine (it was the one listed at the very top of the white wine list) Disclaimer: We were served by the owner. He was very nice and answered all of the questions we had about the menu as well as offering suggestions & pairings based on the food. We saw him doing this with other tables but I can't guarantee he does this for every table, we just got lucky. The oysters were some of the best oysters I've had in my whole life. They were so fresh and the owner included 3 free crab cakes as well. All food was beautifully prepared and promptly made. We were in and out in around 1 hr. Overall great experience, this place is fully deserving of the 5 star rating it holds. If you love seafood and/or Italian you need to stop in. read more

Really unhappy. We went to the restaurant to celebrate my nephew's graduation. We had a 7:30 dinner reservation to sit inside, by 8:00 we were still waiting. No one from the restaurant apologized, offered to buy a round of drinks, or desert. By 8:10, we decided to sit outside as it looked as if no one was getting up from their table. We waited a really long time for our food and when it arrived, it was not great. Having worked for a celebrity restaurant in NYC, Aqua Pazza more than screwed up on timing. I am torn between a 4 and 5 star review. Lets get to the point. The ambiance, service and presentation were 5 stars. Amazing. However the food was 3 stars in my opinion. The salmon poke bowl was so-so, the crab carbonara was a little salty and not very flavorful. The tuna tartare cannoli was okay (to be fair the server had recommended the tuna crude instead) The Orata was the star of the meal. Fantastic taste and presentation, just a little small in portion size. The service was attentive, however we had ordered oysters and I think they forgot ( they had brought us the apps and entrees and mentioned the oysters when they brought us the desert menu) so we cancelled the oysters. Usually I get oysters at the beginning of the meal. They did bring out a free dessert for my birthday which more than made up for the oyster mix up. Three women went there on Sunday August 22, 2021. We were told by the people at BRICCO that it was a good place to eat. It was not. The waiter was in attentive and it took forever to get a glass of wine. When we asked for more bread, he said "bread is fattening for ladies"....we should have left at that point. The food was terrible, the portions were small. The chicken parmesan was the worst I have ever had. The waiter outside was more interested in the young people walking by than serving customers. We started off with some oysters (of course!) with kampachi tartar, which is something I order everytime I come here, and tuna crudo, which I've never tried before but was heavenly. I understand there are new guidelines after COVID but just checking to see if we needed any more drinks or anything else would have been nice. I'm going to help carry on Aqua Pazza's 5 star rating because they deserve it! I arrived to meet a friend on one of the rainiest Friday nights in June, and although I had a reservation, took a seat at the bar until she arrived. Striking up a conversation with the young, friendly bartender named Rami, I learned they had only been open for 3 weeks, and are family run. As an unexpected surprise, Frank Pasquale came in for dinner and took a seat next to me at the bar. What a friendly, humble man! He told me Aqua Pazza is his kids vision and they put it all together and now run it. Well based on my experience he must be a proud Papa because this place is great. Ordering the driest white on the menu (which is the Sauvignon Blanc btw) I decided to stay at the bar once my friend arrived, as I was enjoying my conversation with my new compadres. We ordered a combo of different oysters and once they arrived, discovered they had brought us a couple of the wrong ones. No problem, Rami brought us more of the right kind. He didn't take away the wrong ones (which also ended up being delicious), so we got 4 extra's at no charge! Great service recovery! We then moved on to the highly recommended Zuccinata. The blossoms stuffed with goat cheese just hit the spot. I'm a lower carb eater so although this is a fried dish, it's light so it shouldn't kill your diet too much. It's worth shifting some other calories around to accommodate this delicious app. Rami discovered that my friends birthday had been a few days prior so he took the liberty of having a couple of slices of a key lime pie brought to us. Ok, bye bye diet! But some things you just need to accept are worth your pants getting tighter for. We were both full after the apps, drinks, and dessert. But I was longingly gazing at several of the dishes I saw brush by me, especially the crab carbonara, and can't wait to come back and try more. I came here during Boston restaurant week. In general, the seafood is fresh and tastes good. The service is good too. - bread and olive oil. They put a small bottle of olive oil so we can dip as much as we want. But the olive oil has mild flavor though. - Scallop Ceviche / Leche di Tigre / Sweet Potato: this one is interesting. It tastes like grape fruit in general. - Charred Octopus / Tomato / Olive / Mint: it's my favorite dish here. The octopus is very tender and seasoned very well. - Sapphire Salmon / Parsnip Trio / Smoked Apple Gastrique: the salmon is really good. It's fresh and juicy. I'm not a fan of parsnip though.
