Stopped in for an early dinner. Chill vibes. Great service, great rolls, great happy hour!

I came looking for a happy hour and found this place on yelp. Its by wilshire and labrea cross streets. There are signs for free parking in the back but I grabbed a meter on the side. I came in around 5 and the place was empty. There was a guy sitting in the back, seems like he didn't know English The ambiance was weird, it was empty inside and he lingered at the bar until I turned around to signal him to take my order. I dont know, I was just ready to go. He took my order promptly and the hot sake for $6 was a good price. As I was looking at the menu, the older guy approached the table took them out of my hand and stacked them on the side. He did not say anything but i told him i was still looking. I then ordered the vegetable tempura and the Aloha roll. Vegetable tempura did not have much taste, I pretty much drenched it in the dipping sauce. Looking at the menu again, he walked up and grabbed them to stack on the side and im thinking dude, what is the deal. The Aloha roll fish was bland, not my favorite bite and Im sad I didnt go to another sushi spot. I had no desire to order anything further. Quick note, the drink specials depend on you buying food. I saw another review and it stated a 9.99 deal but I didnt experience that here.

So yummy I think the second photo is the salmon roll could be wrong, but it's amazing and the environment was quite but nice. The portions are not that bad either and for the prince it was reasonable.

Good fish. Prompt. The amount of rice given for the sushi is very small. I haven't actually eaten here, but I got take out.

We went in here and there was no one so we decided to sit down because it was happy hour. The prices for happy hour was only like $4 off the original roll price but I was expecting like half off. We still tried it anyways. I got the salmon roll and salmon 2 piece sashimi. It was good and the crunch roll was good as well. There was only one guy working but he served us fast! Inside was pretty quiet and demure located in Beverly Hills.

Unassuming spot. I lived nearby for 2 years but haven't been here before and finally decided to check it out. There's a daily happy hour from 3-10pm with a lot of options. We got the Sapporo pitcher and sake combo, chefs choice sashimi combo, the Ariyoshi crunch roll, and the yellowtail collar. Aside from those items on the HH menu we also got a spicy tuna salad and sweet shrimp nigiri. More than enough for two people. Quite full actually. Writing this 5 star review for the $1 sake but honestly it's worth the 5 stars even if they didn't have that offer. Ambiance is fairly quiet. Not crowded or super busy but there are def people in here. Mixed crowd.

Sushi Dive Bar type restaurant. The beer is cold and the sake is hot, and the sushi is served fresh. Service was provided in a timely manner. Late Night Happy Hour was a great time. The Rock Shrimp roll was amazing. Be back soon

Their happy hour is one of the better ones I've found, with a great selection of rolls, nigiri, appetizers, and more, mostly ranging from $7-10. Parking is easy too, with plenty of street parking nearby. I sat at the bar, and the service was fantastic. I ordered the chicken karaage, which only comes with three pieces, but they're huge, incredibly crispy, and still juicy inside. I also tried the wagyu taco--it was fresh and flavorful, though the sauce wasn't my favorite, but that's just personal preference. I finished with a salmon hand roll and upgraded to salmon belly for a small upcharge, which was absolutely worth it. For the quality, portions, and prices, I think this beats a lot of other sushi happy hours in the area. I'll definitely be back... although part of me wants to keep this place a secret.

The first round of The Chicken Oyster skewers: smokey but a bit pale, while the second round had the beautiful char we expected. Same goes for the shrimp toast - it felt there was a shift change. Other items we tried: Unagi (nice beautiful piece and great for the price), tuna with crispy rice (fine), yellowtail handroll (on the bland side), tempura brussels w/truffle salt (tasty, not at all greasy). The Lychee martini I had heard rave reviews about tasted off. I feel we caught them during an off moment, so we will definitely try it another time. The Happy Hour for 2-6pm really can't be beat.

All their weekday lunch specials come with hot & sour soup and an egg roll. I had to get their signature spicy orange chicken which is tangy and perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's seriously such a great deal with the amount they give you. Even their dim sum items are discounted during lunch too so I got all my favorites like shumai, radish cakes, green onion pancakes, string beans, and even the rainbow xiaolongbao sampler which is basically Russian roulette for you to guess the flavor of each. But the real sleeper on the menu are the sweet & spicy corn ribs. Love the nod to the Asian taste profile, and it's sooo satisfying to eat! Thanks for reading! ^-^

I've been coming here for the past two years, and their quality is stayed consistently high, if not even improving! They also have an amazing cocktail menu (which is more unusual for dim sum spots) and weekday lunch special menu from 12-3 PM, which features select dim sum and traditional Chinese dish combos at VERY affordable prices (all under $20). Honestly, everything I've tried on every visit has been AMAZING, but I highly recommend asking your waiter for recommendations and specials, since I've been able to try so many new dishes that I probably wouldn't have ever ordered. I ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken with a side of rice and scallion pancakes. The popcorn chicken was very reasonably priced for the portion size and came with plenty of pieces. The scallion pancakes were priced a bit higher than I expected, but ultimately worth it. The chicken was extra crispy and well seasoned. It didn't have the familiar five-spice or cinnamon note I usually associate with Taiwanese popcorn chicken, but it was still very good in its own right. It also came with a side of sweet chili sauce, which paired well. The scallion pancakes were also a standout.
