Location Lobby of Renaissance hotel. Atmosphere Classy-you can't tell you are in a hotel. We came for the rooftop bar but it's seasonal and you need a key. Seating Bar, hi tops, low tops good for groups, small tables-intimate seating. Service Chris and Rosa are AMZING! Menu No happy hour. Great list of wines, appetizers-salads, burgers, guac and chips. We had the spring mix salad with grilled chicken. Excellent! Variety of tomatoes, cucumbers, spring mix. Summary Awesome service, great menu-excellent location.

Do you ding a place for being expensive....? It's expensive. After 3 nights eating meals. I just have to go wit. My gut. The service is fast and professional. I'd prefer more interaction. But they work hard. The food is gourmet American. I had fish tacos Salmon dinner Asparagus side Brussel sprout side. All first class All good tasting All hot All seasoned to allow the flavors to shine ( not over spiced ) perfect Cold beer. Albeit small selection. ( could improve there ) Nice ambiance. Good vibe. Also. Good b fast buffet. Good bar espresso in the am Should I complain about the price. I dunno. Current inflation.... I'd take a date here.

This restaurant is on the inside of hotel renaissance, little upscale like any restaurant at hotel , but service was great , place is very well looking and comfortable, prices are a little high end , and food was good but I think they could do better on the charcuterie , pork belly was great

Atmosphere was well above average for a hotel restaurant. The service was excellent with a very attentive waiter. Glasses never got to half full before refills were there. Had a wonderful brisket queso and chips. Could have eaten that by itself and would have been very happy. Had an excellent salad with strawberries. Very large, tasty and full of all kinds of wonderful things. Will go back again when in the neighborhood.

I came here for a girls night and we were so impressed with this place!! I was hesitant because everyone knows hotel restaurants are hardly ever pursued, but boy was I wrong about Asador! Literally everything we had was full of flavor and delicious! I hate I can't remember our servers name but he was exceptional. A few things you must try: * Pineapple & Bacon Guacamole * Caprese Salad * Chorizo Shrimp & Grits (10/10 Recommend) * Peach Cobbler I really enjoyed this place. I will for sure come back now that I know everything's so good and since it's in a hotel it's a hidden gem! No long waits, and good service. Do yourself a favor and go check them out!

First time here. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 12 PM for brunch for a double date. Parking is in the gated hotel parking which has a fee, but the front desk can validate the parking if you eat at the restaurant. It was empty when we arrived & we were seated immediately. Mimosa - Average taste. Good price. Smoked Salmon Bagel - HUGE salmon pieces. Bagel was nicely toasted - not too toasted, not too underdone; lovely flavor. Cream cheese was very addicting - mixed with herbs. Served with a side of sliced potatoes, pickled red onions, red cabbage, & tomatoes - all separated on the plate in piles, so you can add whatever you want or don't want. The portion was so big, I only ate half for brunch & had the rest for early dinner. I'd highly recommend this one. 44 Farms Brisket Burger - It was empty when we arrived, so we asked if they could make a burger which is normally on the lunch menu for brunch. Thankfully, the chef was nice enough to do so. Flavor was good. Pickles were excellent (even for someone who isn't a big fan of pickles...my husband still ate them all). They taste homemade, on the thinner firmer side with a mildly sweet flavor & lighter than typical tartness. Overall, service & food were excellent. On the pricier side - came to about $60 for two entrees & one drink, but it was still good. I'd recommend & I'd come back!

Great bar crew lead by my friend Chelsey. Super personable and attentive - this is a really high/energy hotel bar crew. A few specialty drinks and a full restaurant menu - definitely worth a visit!

    Custom drink for our honeymoon!

The appetizers were delicious. We LOVED the brisket queso! Great service and environment!

Went here on Valentine's day and was a bit worried as it was located within a hotel, but decided to take the chance as many other places were booked and this place looked worth giving a chance. I worried for naught, I enjoyed everything! The ambience, service, and food were all great. The server was very patient and was happy to talk about the questions we had about the menu. We ordered a lot of his recommendations (unfortunately I can't remember his name), and I'm glad we did because everything was great. The brussel sprouts were crisped and seasoned just right, pork belly and steak were cooked to the perfect level of chewiness, and the desserts were sweet and interesting, in a good way. We will be coming back again soon.

So. So. So. Disappointed in our experience tonight. I don't even know where to start. We were solely here because of Restaurant week and didn't realize it was a hotel restaurant when we originally booked our reservation. Once we found out I was a little hesitant but we went ahead anyways. We waited for five+ minutes at the host stand to be acknowledged and seated. Not because they were overwhelmingly busy, just seemed like everyone was operating on their own schedule and no one was truly a host. Then after being seated we waited for almost another twenty minutes to be acknowledged. Eventually Chris the bartender had to step in and cover for the server and get us started. I was actually in the process of grabbing my purse and getting up to leave when Chris walked up and apologized for the wait. He was so nice that we stayed- should have listened to our instincts on this one. The restaurant week menu was .. well, weak. I was thoroughly disappointed in the first course that was offered. So much so that we switched off that special menu into their full menu. I had to flag down the host to get the original menu and you would have thought my request was a chore. For our appetizer we had the charcuterie board. This was pretty okay- give it a 7/10. I would eat it again but I can't say it's memorable. Chris came in clutch offering to make us whatever drinks we wanted so we had some pretty good drinks to pair with our cheese. Our mains, my husband ordered the TX mushroom linguine and I ordered the ribeye, sides of Mac and cheese and fries. The "linguine" was actually pappardelle due to supply shortage, and came with mushrooms, chicken, a red sauce, and a white cheese of which we were 89% sure was mozzarella. Never in our lives have we had such a dry mozzarella. The chicken and the cheese together was so texturally unsatisfying that my husband barely finished half of his food. This was a $35 plate of pasta, and I found myself wishing we had just gone to the Olive Garden instead... My ribeye was awkwardly plated. On top of fingerling potatoes and a red sauce, so when you attempt to cut into it you're just kinda sliding around the plate. To actually cut into it I had to request a steak knife- again my request met with apathy. I ordered a medium rare and at best this was medium well. Unfortunately one of the most average steaks I've had in a very long time. The steak was so bad I didn't even want to take it home to give to my dogs. The Mac and cheese was extraordinarily bland. I wanted to coat it in salt and pepper but they don't have that on their table and our server never once came back to check on us for me to request it. Pretty sure it was supposed to go in the oven as the breadcrumbs on top were uncooked and soft. The French fries were really good. So if you're here for a burger and fries- I would bet you might leave happy. The service we received here was extremely disappointing. As a former server and bartender, I'm normally extremely patient. But this was a new level of poor service. For a $200 bill, I absolutely expected better. The only person who stood out here was Chris and I hope they keep him on to help train their future staff. This was such a negative experience I highly doubt we will ever come back. We didn't even get a water refill the entire two hours we were there. We requested a third round of bar drinks from the server upon the delivery of our food, which never seemed to make it into the POS system. So needless to say our mouths were pretty dry by the time we left.

Excellent ambiance and good food! Service is hit or miss, our first service staf was bad, but the next person that took over from him was really good!

Came two nights in a row-- the customer service was AMAZING. Specifically--Chelsea, Matt, and Jeremy. WOW. Both nights they treated us like friends, and went above & beyond for all things. We had the Ribeye, fried brussel sprouts, the pork belly and the cheese cake crème brûlée cheesecake! So yum. Recommend them all. Especially the cheesecake But the real showstopper was the staff. They KILLED!

Excellent food, interior and awesome service! We had several courses with wonderful beverages perfect with each selection. Our server Chris was so knowledgeable and enhanced our wonderful meal. Typically we don't find hotel food that great. This was so unexpected. Would go there again when we are in Dallas!

We invited a couple for dinner to celebrate their wedding we weren't able to attend. They are foodies, so we thought to try something different. The bread that looked amazing tasted like cardboard. The Hummus was terrible, and we are pretty snobby in the Mediterranean department. The Cesar Salad was good. Then the food came out. The seabass had to be sent back once, the second time our friend just dealt with it. I had the rack of lamb, which I get often. Awful flavor and strange celery mix underneath. The guys got Cowboy Ribeyes. My husband ate his because he hadn't eaten all day. He said, he couldn't make a better steak. Our friend had ONE BITE and didn't touch it after that. They bagged it up for him, and he left it behind. A $78 steak, not even touched. The mashed potatoes were great actually. Brussel Sprouts were the worst I've ever tasted. I think the poor server saw we weren't enjoying dinner and brought us out a complimentary chocolate tart, said to celebrate their married couple. It too was not good. Most everything was left half eaten or barely touched. I've never felt like I just threw $500 in the trash can, as I did last night. The food looked good (as shown in the pictures below, but don't be fooled) Complete disappointment. I say this as someone who worked for a restaurant group of high end restaurants for many years.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Upon entering you're met with dim lights, deep burgundy leather seats and images of musicians painted in every corner. The restaurant is absolutely stunning! Our table wasn't quite ready so we were asked to wait at the bar for short while. We started the celebration early by ordering a few drinks and by the time they arrived, our table was ready. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. On our table was a place card that said Happy Birthday to my partner which was a nice touch. Our waitress arrived and very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The Heavenly Sourdough and Meatballs Troubadour were absolutely the stars of the show! The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The marinara sauce paired wonderfully with the sourdough. We were told we had to place our entire order at once, and despite our reservation noting that we were celebrating a birthday, he never acknowledged it or even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. When we mentioned it ourselves, he didn't respond at all. While returning from the restroom (which was also uncomfortably hot and stuffy), I spoke with the manager, Jason, about our experience and asked if we could switch servers. Thankfully, Vlad, who had been serving nearby tables, took over our table. He was a complete turnaround. Vlad was personable, energetic, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we expected. He truly saved what he could of the experience. Our group spent over $750 on food and drinks. The appetizers and sides were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to the same standard. One steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. The Salmon Diane was also dry and overcooked. To end the night, while we were waiting for our checks to be processed, Jason came over and told us the next reservation had arrived and that we needed to leave. We explained that we were simply waiting to pay, yet no effort was made to speed up the process by collecting our payment or offering to run the checks. It felt rushed and incredibly inhospitable, especially after everything that had already gone wrong. The only reasons this review isn't one star are Vlad and the excellent appetizers and sides. We've dined at many high-end restaurants, and this was by far one of the most disappointing service experiences we've had, especially for a special celebration. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
