Recently landed in Atlantic toyota on the Lynnway after my sister asked me to accompany her on her first new car purchase. We had been to one other dealer where we spent 1/2 a day discussing a deal and much research online before and after that visit. She stopped by and spoke with someone on her own at Atlantic and asked if I would go with her as she was getting close to signing a deal. The price she was given was very fair, just over invoice (per internet sites), and also had $400 in options on the vehicle to boot. Granted, she was buying a model year change vehicle (2013 Corolla) but was very happy with the price and actually preferred the styling and size over the design change of the '14. We worked with Sreng who was a pleasure to deal with-no hassles-no hard selling-no sliding papers back and forth or tough talks with some nebulous stern looking manager from beyond the wall or any of the other various tactics I've had to endure over decades of these trips. The dread of purchasing a vehicle was replaced with a polite exchange of numbers and a handshake. I would have given the dealer 5 stars but we had to wait 1/2 an hour after signing the P and S when the dealer really wasn't that busy to talk with their closer (you know, the guy who sells the undercoating, roadside assistance, tire puncture protection, body wrap (for the car not us), etc. etc. We probably would have had to wait longer if we hadn't asked a management looking employee if he was ready to meet with us. He said he wasn't the person to do so but as soon as he vanished down the hall the closer came out to get us. Funny thing was that his numbers were a bit different than ours and when we asked why, we noticed that there was a line added to the P and S for "customer care package" at a cost of $89. When we asked what is was, it was immediately removed as if it somehow got there by mistake, with a mumble of something or other and a scratched out total that now equaled our figures. Was weird to say the least and left us feeling a little creepy. I should also mention that I arrived early and sat in the customer waiting area talking to strangers about their experience there. While not statistically relevant, the reviews were mainly positive for both buying and servicing. She's been driving the car for a week and loves it. I told her I would be writing this review and she was insistent I give Sreng 5 stars. I agree with that assessment. Sreng was great! Closer was "ehh". All in all, a solid "4"! read more

We drove out to Atlantic Toyota one recent Sunday afternoon because they advertised a couple of RAV4s that were exactly what we were looking for. We checked out the lot on our own and when we came inside to talk about test drives, we ran into Zeke, who is an excellent laid back guy who worked with us to get to a price we were happy with. The sales manager came over and chatted with us for a while which was nice. After the sale, Zeke's followup was excellent too-he sent us a check for the inspection sticker because his service dept. was closed when we picked up the vehicle, and a couple of weeks later when I told him that the car didn't come with the little screw in radio antenna, he put one in the mail the next day. I would never do business with this dealership or any Toyota dealership. My wife bought a 2009 Toyota Camry at this location we got a great deal and were very happy with this purchase well until the air bag light won't turn on and won't recognize if someone is sitting in the passenger seat and then the car it's self was burning more oil then you can put in. They refused to recall these cars with the issues but I called and called and found out they will fix the issue for free. Now after picking up the car the catalytic converter and the Ac is gone I called the customer service line now they say they can't help so I called the dealership they want to charge me a diagnostic test and can range from 75-150 to check it out. Thank you for nothing Toyota your suppose to be one of the best cars on the road ha I rather buy a 99 ford before I ever buy a Toyota. read more

If possible, I would give Atlantic Toyota zero stars. My mother in-law recently went there to purchase a used car. She went alone, and was treated fairly well by the sales rep. I told her I would meet her there to make sure everything is in order for her to purchase the car. Once we agreed on a pirce, we were told the car would be ready the following day. The next day we went to pick up the car, and after waiting about 2 hours the car was finally "ready". Once the car pulled up it had a rejection sticker on it, it didn't have the floor mats she was promised, and taking a further look into the compartments of the car it didn't look like it was cleaned. We were told that the car needed to be driven for 60 miles and brought back for the inspection sticker, that the floor mats would be delivered the following day, and when the car was brought back for inspection it would get "another" cleaning. The mats didn't arrive for a week, the inspection sticker ended up being fine even though she had to go back, and the cleaning that they did stained the dashboard. It has been 2 months since this has happened and we are told that the only person to fix the dashboard works on Mondays. Needless to say we've called every monday since the car was purchased and not heard back. At this point it doesn't look like the issues will ever be resolved. It's unfortunate that things like this still happen during this day and age. read more

I did not think my husband had a shot at buying a Toyota Tundra 4x4. We had been searching the web for about 3 months for a used one and thought we were priced out of the Toyota's. Both of us have owned a variety of Toyota's in the past and were very happy with them. We happened to see a Tundra at Atlantic with a nice price on their website, which, by the way, is well done. Anyway, we live nearby so we thought we would go over and take a quick look. We had our 4 yr old with us- hence, it was not a car shopping day....We were helped by Aaron Rosenberg (very nice young man). He said one was sold but another had come in and was in the process of being checked out but we could take it for a spin. He introduced us to Chris Jimenez, very nice salesman who assisted in the test drive. The price was excellent. I couldn't believe the deal they were offering. I asked my husband "are you sure this is 4 wheel drive??" They gave us a great trade for his Subaru wagon as well. No pressure, no haggling. I cannot stand having to go through that. Needless to say, we bought it! The handling and power are fantastic. We very much appreciated the no pressure sales. I believe Aaron is a Manager so for Sales give Chris a call. Nice guy, knows his stuff. Never pushy with us and we are thrilled w/our Toyota! read more

I have always bought Toyotas and have actually purchased 2 vehicles in the past from Atlantic Toyota in Lynn. To sell you a car they are great but when it comes to helping you out, then this is not the place. I leased a 2011 Sienna and paid it faithfully for 10 months and found myself in a terrible financial crisis where I couldnt pay for vehicle anymore. Rather than not pay and have them repo it, I decided to go to Atlantic and see if they could help a loyal customer out by buying back the vehicle that I know for a fact they could sell or lease again and still make money. Well they wanted a few thousand from me,which if I had, I wouldnt be there asking for help. According to the salesman, they would lose money by taking it back but yet if I purchased a smaller car than they could take van back. Nice. Thanks Atlantic. Nice way to treat a loyal customer. Needless to say I am having the van repossesed. I will never buy Toyota again. read more

***please read*** purchased my car there years ago, i brought it there for repair because i didnt know where else to go. my car was burning oil so i brought it there. they told me i needed a new engine which would have cost $4000...mind you my car is not even worth half that now. i paid the diagnosis fee and i took my car from them and brought it to my fathers mechanic...to make a long story short, my car only needed the oil drained and changed...$35. i went back to atlantic and showed them my report from the mechanic, and i got my diagnosis fee back. i told them they lost a customer (and my mother as a customer for life). my car has be fine ever since and its been at least 7 years. read more

As far as buying a car, new or used.. i would recommend this dealership. What i liked was as soon as i started browsing the lot..a salesman strolled on over diagonally and slowly... as if not to crowd or rush me with the salespitch talk. What i didn't expect was that their was no pitch here, i just told him my price and year range and he led me to them...and said i'll be over here if you have any questions. I picked the 2 i was interested in and he went and got the keys. He answered my questions without a um or a well., and and treated me respectfully, without the fluff. My experience was quick..efficient ..not waiting around for hours to wear you down so you couldn't see straight to see what your signing..lol. i felt like family..this i never experienced anywhere else..although i do not know this salesman..i must recommend him..his name is carlos f. he was outgoing..personable..real, not stiff, slow, nor :well this is the way it is:.. and boring so to speak, as some of them are. The experience was professional...ontime...non-agressive...layed back but alive...felt and was treated like a family owned experience. I love my suv...and toyota being the most reliable engine as far as i'm concerned.. the parts are not from korea lol but true, my money was well spent on a engine thats gonna last alot longer..thats what a toyota is. I'm very happy i found a dealership i can go to that i can trust..i have yet to experience their parts dept;..so will get back to let you know on that one. This dealership is the worst dealership I have ever been to. I bought my scion tc with a squeaky noise when I purchased the car. The dealership told me they would fix it. Every time I brought it here they told me that there technicians couldn't hear the noise. After a year it got to the point where I brought it in because the sound kept getting louder and they wanted me to pay $700.00 to "fix" the brakes. I had to argue with the used car sales manager to have them pay for it as it had been agreed upon. Which they did. Two weeks after that I felt my steering wheel shaking and brought it back to find out my lug nuts were loose. Then on new years day I stop to let a women on the crosswalk cross, I put my car in first gear and BANG! My cluster where all the warning lights are lit up like a Christmas tree. I take it to the dealer and apparently my engine blew. They had my car for a month. The day I get it back my transmission goes. I get it back two weeks later. Then two days later its back again because my transmission went again. After waiting another two weeks I get my car back. This time whenever I get my car to a stop here and there it would shut off on me. I bring it back and of course they cant find any problems. So I deal with this problem until Easter Sunday when my car shuts off and won't turn on in the Dunkin Donuts drive thru. I had to get it towed twice, from there to my house and then from my house to the dealer since the dealership was closed. My ECU and Starter went. I get my car back a week later. But it gets worse, my transmission went shortly after that popping out of it gears. But Toyota wont cover it because its been there twice before for the same problem. So they wanted me to pay for the transmission. So I traded it in at another dealership for something else. I get a voicemail from the service manager saying that he had bought a used transmission and put it in my car! Also called me to inform me that he had purchased a warranty and would be willing to get it and put it in my car if I paid $400.00. These people are freeloaders. They are not an honest dealership. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

This is the worst! If the option existed to not offer any stars that would be my rating. My mother took her car there for a service and at first, the only thing that she complained about was the lack of courtesy. The service included: oil change, battery change, tire rotation, fluids check and a multi-point inspection. She was never given a report on the inspection and was told she needed $570 in repairs soon. A week later she is driving and the car starts to smoke...black smoke from the exhaust. Car hesitating when the accelerator is pressed and lunges forward when her foot is taken off. I decided to take the car to a different dealership. Results? There was oil in the engine! The amount of oil in the car was too much and their professional opinion is that the old oil wasn't drained and the new was put in and exceeded the limit. To clean engine parts and fix this issue? $130. I had them redo the multi-point inspection and sure enough all of the "issues" Atlantic said need to be fixed soon were not issues!! The one thing that was a problem (her fan belt was dried out and rotted) they didn't even point out!!! Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more
