I told them the her car need a oil change. the oil is very drak, i checked the dipstick. i try to explain to them, but thet hand up the phone, because my girl frined she is in this dealership, my girl give my phone to one of the service consultants give me bad attitude, i don't understand why they hand up my phone, i will tell all of my friends and relative not to have their car service in this dealership and not buy any car from this dealership. strongly not recommmend. if you don't true me, go ahead and see how they treat you. i will never ever come back to this dealership in my entire life. read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT REVIEW Service rep was very unprofessional using her personal cell phone in front of me and other clients. I was told by the service rep that she would update on status of the repair within 45 minutes, 2 hours passed she never called, i then had to call service dept and after a very long wait, service rep came to the phone to tell me she does not have an update yet. ...couple of more hours passed and near closing time and still no call! Called service dept again to get status of my repair 30 minutes before closing and was told my car was to be left with Sales Department! Pickup my car from Sales dept to find a bill higher than what i was told by Service Dept!, Sales rep did not have a clue as to what to do. Very poor service, definitely not recommended. read more

The service dept is a rip off. I was quoted a price last week for a head light repair in place of a replacement. A replacement is 450.00 and the repair kit needed to be ordered and would cost me 175.00 and was told to come back in a week so I set up an appt. I showed up today for my appt and was told by the same person said he never told me anything about a repair kit. I wrote down the price he quoted right in front of him and he still denied telling me that. He all but called me a liar. I didn't just make up these prices. He gave them to me. Today he told me the repair kit could not be used on the pass. side headlight. WTF is up with that? Am I to assume it can only be used on the drivers side? If it can repair the drives side there is no reason it can be used on the pass. side. They are both head lights. I did spend 2200.00 last week for repairs on my car so if I was told, last week, that the head light needed a full replacement, I would have been prepared to pay the 450.00. I don't like being quoted a repair price and when I get there the price just jumped, not a couple of dollars but 275.00 more. It's no wonder people all say mechanics are crooks. Unless I get notified that due to your misfortune of having a crook working there you will give me the new headlight at 1/2 price considering when I took the car in last week for a tune up, oil change and a tire I did get a water pump, new rear brakes and a stabilizing bar and never complained about any of the prices. Why all of a sudden would I complain about a price now after all that? He was trying to rip me off. I've used Atlantic Toyota to service 2 Highlanders for the past 11 years. Sometimes you have to wait a while, depending on what the problem is, but the waiting area is pretty comfortable and if you need to be dropped off and later picked up to get your car, someone at the dealership will drive you each way, locally at least. I've always found the people I interact with perfectly friendly, and they let me know if something unexpected comes up, and what the cost of anything extra will be, before doing the extra work. So, I can decide whether to go ahead or hold off for later on a particular repair. A couple of years ago we followed up an on-line listing for a lightly-used Highlander that someone on the South Shore wanted to transfer the lease on, two years before their lease ran out. The lease was out of a dealership in Brockton. That turns out to be a mildly complicated transaction, but it worked out well in the end. Even though Atlantic Toyota/Lynn wasn't going to be involved (I had to work with Toyota and the Brockton dealership to get it done), the person I talked with at Atlantic made some phone calls and gave me a good overview of what needed to be done, in what order. This incident happen few months ago when I started shopping for a Toyota Prius Two Hybrid. I originally was looking for a used one when I stopped by Atlantic Toyota on Lynnway, first I was not greeted by anyone!! I had to go to their main sales desk and asked for help. I was finally got introduced to one of their sales people, I told him what I was looking for. He did not have the exact mileage I was looking for, however, I asked for his contact business card. Few days later, I called Expressway Toyota and talked with one of their sales managers, he sounded very helpful and professional. Asked me to consider a new 2017 since the 2018 model are coming. He gave me a pretty good offer over the phone and asked me to come next day to check the car. However, I called the same day to give Atlantic Toyota a chance to bid on on similar new 2017 Toyota Prius, when I called same sales rep. He sounded busy and told me that He will call me in few minutes. I never heard from him that day, and went to Expressway Toyota late next day to give Atlantic Toyota more chances to call me. And still never heard from their sales rep. I proceeded with buying the car from a wonderful sales rep at Expressway Toyota, their finance team were so helpful to close on the deal. Here is why I'm writing this review today, I went back to Atlantic Toyota to ask the sales rep why he never called me as he said he will. As soon as I got in I was confronted by their sales manager/ Managing Partner when I told him my story and instead of apologizing to me, he started yelling and being angry, and asked me to leave their property immediately. Now, I know why Atanltic Toyota are loosing sales!! We are in late 2017 and we still have mediocre dealers and no wonder they are loosing sales to other dealers. I'll be honest, this was my first time buying a car on my own. My first car was a gift from my parents which lasted 12 long memorable years, but it was time for an update. I had my heart set on a hatchback, when I found the Kia Soul. At the time, auto trader only had 29 cars listed so I went on a mission to find the best deal. I received a great financing offer from my bank and decided to check out some cars. The first dealership I went to had the best "bang for your buck" but it was in Johnston, RI so I called to make sure the car was there before I drove 1.5 hrs down. After my confirmation, I drove down only to find it wasn't entered into the computer as SOLD the night before. I was completely frustrated and irritated. Then the dealership tried to get me in a newer model Soul completely out of my price range and onto their financing when I specifically said I had my own method of payment. So after this horrible experience I was so discouraged in finding my Kia Soul. I found another car listed on cars.com from Atlantic Toyota but I was hesitant due to my horrible experience. In fact, the day I wanted to view the vehicle, I called 2x once to see if it was available and once right before I got to the dealership to confirm again. The first person I worked with was Jeffrey over email, he was super helpful in confirming the availability of the vehicle. Upon arrival, Javier made us feel so welcome (even at such a late hour) I never felt pressured or uneasy about viewing and purchasing the Soul. Then we met with Jack who was also very friendly, attentive and professional. Everyone at this dealership that we worked with made us feel comfortable and the process was so smooth. This is a service review. I service my 2009 Prius there...they are always fast and the price is always reasonable. Frankly, I love coming here after my last maintenance experiences with the Mercedes Benz local dealer that serviced my last car. Every time I was out of a car all day...the price was always outrageous and the people were not that nice. I suppose you get that at a luxury service place- but servicing my car at Atlantic for the past 4 years (I got the 2009 in 2008) has been easy and reliable. read more

One week ago these people quoted repairs on my car to be just over 2K to fix the heat in my 88 Camry. Yesterday, another mechanic I know fixed the heat, along with the headlights and my turn signals for $100 and another $65 in parts. Really? I know there has to be some kind of a mark up for these places to stay in business but that was simply offensive. From 2K to 2 hundred really made my week much better. I hope they know I'll be bad mouthing them every single chance i get. read more

So I went to have my brakes looked at as they were spongy. I was charged $56 to diagnose. I was told that my front brakes pads need to be replaced and the both rear caliper needs to replaced and bleed. The price quoted was $1300. I still have the receipt. So I decided to take my car somewhere to have a second look. I took it to Meinke where I was told it would coast $97 to look at it and if any issue was to be found it would be deducted from the total price. The mechanic at Meinke checked both my front and rear brakes and bled any air out of the caliper. They fixed the problem for just $97 while ATLANTIC TOYOTA wanted to charge me $1300. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORD. MAKE SURE TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE TAKE A SECOND LOOK AT YOUR CAR before you have them fix it. read more

This Review is for Service department. I took my car there for clucking noise under car. I had already taken it to local shop. Local shop said they did not have parts. I explained what local shop said about car. It needed bushing. When I arrived there. Service rep said total estimate for fixing car is $110. I said ok. After they completed fixing, the total came out to $235. I asked why is it more than x2. She said $110 was only for diagnostic. I thought they really took look at other problems too. So I paid $235 and drove car home. On the way back home, I could hear louder clucking noise. I called them an told them its making louder noise. I took car back as told by rep. After test drive and taking into shop they told me the problem is inner tie rod. Are you kidding me? I thought they already did diagnostic. Obviously not. It probably even wasn't bushing at the first place. Then they told me they will have to charge diagnostic fee again if i want to fix the car again. I said NO. You guys already charged me. She said," i am sorry its company policy to charge diagnostic fee as soon as car goes in to shop for fixing." I just drove the car away. Why could they not do diagnostic before? read more

I went there to get my two flat tires replaced. I had a warranty I bought from Expressway Toyota who assured it would be honored at any Toyota dealer. Upon arrival the asst service manager was very dismissive as I tried to explain that I had a warranty. He insisted that the warranty would not be honored there because I didn't buy the car from them. He said the payment would be a hassle for them. When I spoke to expressway they said they don't understand why he would not honor the insurance.I will no go back there to get my car serviced nor purchase anything from them. It appeared he asst service manager was to occupied trying to eat his meatball sub for lunch. Buyer beware - stay away from this dealership. I should have read the reviews before doing business with them. The sales staff is uneducated, rude and have no idea what they are doing. They don't follow-up and do not honor their word. The sales person I dealt with couldn't answer a question about a line item on my bill of sale despite the fact that he proudly informed me he had been working at the dealership for 14 years! It took me 2 weeks to be able to pick up my car. They refused to take my trade in without a title, yet when I went today to trade in the old and pick up the new, I had no title in hand. Glad my new car sat in their lot for 2 weeks for nothing. Yesterday at my closing (I arranged for my own financing), I was presented with a new bill of sale to sign that Atlantic Totoya took it upon themselves to create without my permission. When I called the dealership in the middle of my closing and asked that the sales person be pulled from a meeting to discuss, he yelled at me for disturbing him! As I was finally driving off in my new vehicle today, I noticed it had not been inspected, despite the fact that they specifically told me it would be done. Had I not gone back inside and asked, they would have gladly let me drive away and would have pocketed the money I had paid them for the sticker. What a bunch of ignorant thieves at this place. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews and take them seriously. The only reason I give them 1 star is because the system won't allow me to give no stars. IS THIS A FACE OF TOYOTA??? I had an appointment at ATLANTIC TOYOTA in Lynn, MA for excessive oil consumption test covered by Toyota's Warranty Enhancement Program. The service rep tried to charge me for an oil change as he said it's needed for this test although the letter from Toyota clearly says the addition of oil (not a change-I just did it!) will be provided free of charge. When I mentioned that he said he wouldn't do it for free anyway and after I was about to leave he clearly and loudly said 'suck it'. I complained to the Service Dept. manager, Peter Carey, and he replied 'None of my people would say that' (!) After that he asked me what I am doing in Lynn area with NH plates!!! Scheduled appointment for oil change and confirmed price on the phone. As other reviewers have noted, without any pleasantries, even "hello," one is handed a white slip and it is assumed you know to hand this in at the desk. Even if one were to introduce oneself, the car, etc., it is for nought; must repeat it. So I walk in and, again, restate the facts ... I am directed to one of the other desk agents and see the line. Eventually I restate the purpose of visit and the agent is repeatedly interrupted by a mechanic. After requesting and then confirming "Mobil 1 synthetic," I double check her screen and am told that "your car uses conventional." So now it is 4 times, at least, that I have to ask for a simple oil change and rotation. During this discussion, a mechanic removes my car from service line and parks it outside. I explain that the owner, not the car, determines which oil to purchase. Ordinarily would not ask to confirm pricing on something this simple, but did so as precaution; now was much higher than quoted earlier in phone call. The bottom line: They gave me the correct price* but never did the tire rotation. Agent says "that is $20 extra" which I had been perfectly clear on; must have said it 5 times. *(assuming they used synthetic). read more

Well, I was all set to give these guys 5 stars. Until this morning. Went in yesterday, got the car I wanted, from a good salesman. Manager leaves a message on my phone late at night, with "urgent" sounding "call me back" message, either right away or in the morning. I think, "Oh no, something's wrong with the loan app, etc." I have a diagnosed GAD (generalized anxiety disorder)--so obviously this didn't help and set off my symptoms. I also have a very tight and difficult work schedule, and was about to email my boss my availability and could NOT do so now because I now was thinking I might have to add more days off to do more car shopping etc, if loan didn't work out, etc. So I finally--after 2 or 3 times trying to call him back, getting several different responses from reception as to where he is--reach him at about 11 in the morning, after 3 excruciating hours of severe anxiety symptoms (headache, stomach, crying, shaking) and it turned out when I reached this manager--Jack Shark (what a name for a manager at a car dealer...) --all he wanted to do was SELL ME something I didn't need (a security system for car)--THAT'S ALL IT WAS. He never said in his message to me, "it's just about a security system you might want"...or similar. Apparently, this is what car dealers do, with malice and aforethought! His response, when I started saying to him, "How dare you put me thru what you have put me thru-I have an anxiety disorder, etc."? was: "Are you kidding me?"--That was his response. Instead of the appropriate: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause you alarm." which would have been accepted by me. Again, he said, and I quote: "Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?" --completely invalidating me as a human being, never mind a customer. Sorry Tim Hall, you and your dealership were going to get a glowing review from me everywhere, but your manager, Jack Shark, blew it this morning. read more

Terrible place which must be avoided at all costs. If you do end up finding a car here that you would really like to buy then read on for the fine print. I recently purchased a Toyota from this dealer. When I arrived to look at the car, it took a while for them to find the sales person I had been speaking with over the phone. This was despite having a booked appointment. The sales person himself was very professional. Then came the financing. They told me that they would do a single credit score check for financing, but instead they made 6 (yes 6!) hard hits from 6 different banks without talking to me. I would never have approved more than 3 hits if they had asked me. Then the finance guy pushes the extended warranty and tire warranty plus a remote starter despite me turning it down! We had the do extra paperwork to remove the tire and extended warranty. However, I could not get them to return the remote starter. I was told it is a original Toyota remote starter, turns out is is not. All of this drama took 6 hours and I was exhausted at the end of the day. Stay away from this place. read more

*this review for service only* Not sure if all the negative reviews are from high maintenance people, or they just got bad service, but I strongly disagree. I have had my 2010 tundra serviced here a few times--simple, routine and cheap stuff, but I have been in and out pretty quickly and have gotten good service. Think 8 quarts of oil (capacity double that of most cars), new filter, top off fluids for about $35. Unlike the other Toyota dealer in the area, this places is far more laid back, and the service people are far less slippery and rude. If you can, deal with Earl or Rick.Their prices are also cheaper, quite cheaper than that other dealership for routine maintenance. They have also managed to cover a few issues under warranty no problem, which others said would have be a major issue to get a claim on. I have found that i can call in the AM, book service for late morning, and be on my way around noontime or so, such flexibility goes a long way for me. The waiting room is clean, comfortable, and large. Vending machines and free bagels/pastry. I see nothing to complain about! read more

Found a CPO Toyota I liked online and emailed to inquire. Rep did respond to emails very quickly and was very nice. I said what I was wanting to put down as well as having a trade in vehicle. It's Saturday, I was told the trade in appraisal manager is only there Monday thru Friday from 9-5...no weekend appraisals. Um, what? I emailed back and said I was only free on the weekends. Was then told that I can have my trade-in appraised on Saturdays by appointment. Said I was away next Saturday so would have to reconvene when back. Was then told I could come in between 12-5 next day (Sunday) for appraisal. So we started with Mon-Fri, 9-5 only, no weekend appraisals...to Saturday by appointment only...to oh we can appraise your car tomorrow (Sunday). This place has crappy reviews but I gave them a shot and they blew it. Good luck selling cars with nobody to do appraisals on nights or weekends. read more

I went to Atlantic Toyota to get a routine oil change. I made the appointment for 7:30 am. I arrived simultaneously with 5 other cars. A man walked over to me and I got out of my car and handed him my car keys. He wrote down my mileage and handed me a slip of paper. He never acknowledged me - there was no "Good morning" or even a "hello." After waiting 2 hours I went to check on the status of my car. They said they had no record of my car? They said "did you drop off the white slip?" I said I assume so as I didn't have it on me. They said "You must have not given us the slip?" I was very frustrated and asked for my car keys so I could leave. The woman said I needed the slip?? I then asked to speak with the manager. Obviously I didn't have my slip. The manager came out and said I must not have given the woman the slip. At this point I just wanted to leave. The manager walked me to my car. He had an "I could care less attitude." When I told him I thought they should have a better system he shrugged. Yup the tail wags from the head down. Way to go Toyota! read more

I bought my 2005 Camry new here and had no issue with that process. And I went back regularly for service. The last time I went it was for an oil change and tire rotation. They told me they found I needed a new water pump and battery! They also said I needed a cabin air filter which I had just had changed by them a month before! I got angry and declined the additional service. They did not charge me for the oil change because they said I waited longer than I should have. That was bull. They gave it for free because they wanted me to keep my mouth shut. I've had my car to two other places since and neither one mentioned anything about my water pump and both said my battery was fine. I'll never go back and when it comes time to buy a new car, I'll go else where as well. Disgusted. read more

I also opted for the 36,000 mile/3 yr bumper-to-bumper warranty and the 5yrs of tires/rims. I never had any problems with it other than the usual wear and tear and regular maintenance,which I kept up with.It did finally start needing major work so I decided to get another Camry.I went to Woburn Toyota first.But the salesman there did not want to talk to me unless I was ready to by.I asked him if he could let me test drive one,sit down talk price,and quote me a price on my car wich I was trading as well.He refused again and told me to come back when I was ready to buy.I left there with the intent to never do business there ever.My next stop was where I bought my 2005 Camry XLE. The salesman who I bought my car from had left.So I talked to a salesman.He quoted me a price that seemed a little high,and only offered me 2000.00 on my trade in.I always brought my car there for any work that needed to be done.So they knew what shape my car was in.He was also very smug and practically shoved the car down my throat.I told him Ineeded to go home and talking things over with my wife,(as well as check on line).But he still tried to get me to sign and buy the car right then and there.I would not sign and left,never to return.My wife and I checked on line ans found Atlantic Toyota.Checked on line to see what the car we wanted was worth and went to Atlantic Toyota.The Salesman Amish Patel.I remember his name because he was great,he gave us exactly what we wanted,and at the price we had found on line.He even gave me 7000.00 for my trade in Camry,which needed 3000.00 worth of work.He was not pushy let me test drive the car.Done deal.I just had my 1st 5000. mile check up and everybody was efficient kind,and courteous.The waiting time was short,and was able to enjoy a nice c read more

We leased a Rav4 from Atlantic Toyota. Within a month we noticed an awful mildew smell from the vents. This starting affecting our health and we brought it in to be fixed. We had to keep bringing it in. Each time they'd spray and clean it, at one point they did something with the AC system. These would sometimes reduce the problem but never eliminate it, and it would always come back strong. We've been dealing with this for 2 and half years now. We've asked them to either replace the vehicle or vent system and they refuse. The people in the service department told us one thing and told Toyota another. We will never lease or buy a car from these people again. My wife and I have asthma concerns with this issue and they've basically told us it is "an enirohvnmental issue" and Toyota isn't responsible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. Basically the sales person does not respect you. They don't work with you or answer your questions properly. They let you test drive a car and expect you to buy it instantly. The one thing I hated the most about this place is that the sales men do not look at you while answering a question. Now that is highly disrespectful. They basically make you wait in their cubicle and walk out and come back after 10 mins without giving a reason.
