Auntie Anne's is great! They have two locations at the mall. One is an actual store on the second floor near CPK, and the other is a kiosk on the first floor on the other side of the mall. I used to buy Auntie Anne's more frequently years ago, to the point where I would fill up stamp cards and get free pretzels. Now, instead of a stamp card, they have a mobile app. Once you download their mobile app and sign up for an account, you get a free pretzel after your first purchase, and then you get a free pretzel for every 300 points you rack up ($1 = 10 points). Apparently there are other special rewards and offers included but I have not downloaded the app so I don't know what they are. I came here recently when they were celebrating Free Pretzel Day on March 3rd. From 10am-2pm they were giving away free pretzels to everyone who came in. The caveat was that you could only get either an original pretzel or their cinnamon sugar one. I got there at 10am and there were maybe 20 people in front of me, but the line moved fast and I was able to get my freshly made cinnamon sugar pretzel for free! I will say the line was a lot shorter by the time I was done. Their cinnamon sugar pretzel is a bit messy to eat but it tastes good. I also like to get their original salted pretzel with cheese dip. Sour cream and onion is pretty good too... so far I have only had those three pretzels here. But they also have pretzel nuggets and pretzel dogs, and multiple pretzel dips to choose from. They are currently offering a Groupon deal so this is the perfect time to visit them if you have not gone in a while! Like many other pretzel places, these pretzels are best when warm/fresh! I love their almond pretzel. They're generous with the almond coating and when it comes out warm the almonds feel toasted. Yum! Sometimes I'll opt for a plain pretzel with hot salsa cheese dip; too bad they can't warm up the cheese for you. Their plain pretzels are perfectly salted (not too much) and the texture of the pretzel is spot on. A little hard on the outside, but soft and moist on the inside. They no longer give out stamps on the frequent buyer card at this location. The cashier said they lost their stamp, but they will still accept your card when filled for a free pretzel. I really like Auntie Anne's pretzels, but do not eat them often as they have quite a lot of calories (anywhere from 250-400+ calories, not including their dipping sauces). So they truly are like a treat for me that I truly enjoy thoroughly when I do get to have one. It is always nice to watch the employees make fresh pretzels. They pick up that dough in the and twist it pretty quickly and make it look so easy to make (but I know it isn't that easy to fold it like they do). I really do enjoy the flavors that Auntie Anne's offer though. And most of the time I will always share which ever type of delicious pretzel I pick. You can find these soft bread pretzels in either sweet or savory notes. I usually gravitate towards the savory (but every once in a while, I do pick a sweet flavored one like the sweet almond and cinnamon & sugar). I like the jalapeno and the roasted garlic & parmesan. By the way, there are a few locations of Auntie Anne's at this Westfield Mall. My all time favorite snack to get at the Santa Anita Mall! There are two locations of Auntie Anne's (one upstairs right next to CPK and another one right in front of Nordstroms). I always go to the one in front of Nordstroms because thats where I shop at the most. On weekends this small joint is usually packed, but on weekdays they are very fast. Eating a pretzel is honestly the best snack to eat while you shop or when you go to the movies (just sneak the bag in your purse). My favorite flavor to get is ALMOND! This is the only flavor I will ever get at Auntie Anne's. Its sweet, crunchy and amazingggg! The actually almonds are pretty big pieces that you can tell have been caramelized onto the pretzel. I always compare Auntie Anne's pretzel to Wetzel Pretzels, and OMG Anne's is soo much better. My boyfriend likes the sour cream and onion flavor, but he had one really bad experience. As he was eating the pretzel, I guess there was SO much sour cream and onion powder on them that he swallowed it wrong when he ate it. He then started to cough up a lot of powder and nearly choked! After that experience he never ate Auntie Anne's again. The lady put wayyy too much powder in there and it wasnt evenly spread out amongst the pretzel. They also hand out free samples so make sure you take one! Dont forget to ask for a stamp card! After a certain amount of pretzels you buy, you get one for FREE! I never really understood why there are two locations at the Santa Anita mall - just like how they have two locations of Verizon Wireless. Makes no sense to me. Anyway, I used to LOVE Auntie Anne's Almond pretzel until I noticed it usually tastes more burnt than almond. After realizing such an important discovery, I moved onto Wetzel's Pretzels. However, b is still a fan of Auntie Anne's so I still have to eat the burnt almonds. Last week, instead of sharing an Almond pretzel with him, I ordered one with Pepperoni's on top. It was nice and fresh out of the oven, therefore really, really scalding hot and I had to wait a few minutes before I could eat it. When I finally had it in my mouth, it was so delicious! I am totally starting to believe I can make things apparate with the sheer unbridled power of my mind. I was at the Santa Anita Mall shopping in preparation for my hot date with Yelper (name withheld to protect the innocent.) He is such a snappy dresser that I knew I had to step it up and buy something foxy, like uncomfortable but sexy shoes, to show I was worth his time at a work function on a Friday night. Anyhow, all that shoe shopping and fitting room wiggling gave me the hungries! And I was thinking to myself, "hmmm, Auntie Anne's would be sooo tasty right now." I walked out of Macy's and behold! There was a dude giving free samples of the AA pretzels! He barely got the words, "Would you like a free samp..." out of his mouth before I tackled him and ate all the miniature pretzel bits he was holding. He looked sad, but he shouldn't have offered if he didn't mean it. After that, I had the energy to go buy some new pants before coming back for a plain pretzel and a soda. Four dollahs, because I forgot my coupons. (Hells yeah, I'm a regular.) I was well-behaved and avoided the cream cheese (this time) so as to continue to fit into above-referenced pants. I do not usually write one star review but I had to write about the customer service I received. Coming to a place like this you would think that the people would at least put a smile on their face while serving, but nope I was wrong. I would like to write it for specifically April 25 around 5:00. Me and a friend wanted to get pretzels because we had a coupon to get the pretzel nuggets and get a free pretzel. As we were walking, the cashier who happened to be hispanic or filipino, female and probably 5"2 being rude to a customer ahead of me. Normally if a customer gave the cashier the wrong form of payment, the cashier should politely inform that this is not right instead of being mean to the customer. From what I saw today, the cashier was already rude. I also noticed the customer was looking like she was pissed too after she left. My initial reaction was "wow that is bad customer service". Now it came to my turn, the cashier gave us a dirty look (probably cause of the coupon in the hand). She started being rude and did not want to help at all until I called her to get me the almond pretzel nugget and the sourcream pretzel. To her, she thought it was ok to harshly grab the pretzel and pass it onto the table. After she grabbed the sourcream pretzel, she did not say what the total was and was waiting for the card and coupon and she rudely starred at me waiting for it. I gave it to her and in my head I was like "why could she be so rude?". Right when she turned around for a sec, she quickly rolled her eyes and gave a bad sigh of breathe. I do not know if I was making a bad move to smile and give it to her or was she just flat out naturally mean and having crappy customer service. After the payment, she just watched me hold the pretzels and did not offer me a bag or anything or say "thank you". Since I was trying to be nice I just said "have a great day" and she quickly gave me a dirty look again... like seriously? Someone actually was nice enough to you to say "have a great day" and you have the audacity to give them a dirty look. Like I am sorry for the female working there but I assure that I was at least being polite and respectful. I honestly do not like being mean but this is by far one of the worst customer service I received. The pretzel left a very bitter after taste because of how I and my friend was treated and she also noticed that she rolled her eyes. I mean like you are getting paid to at least smile and give customers what they want, at least do it. In my case I would smile and help them as much as I can (I work at a boba shop so I understand what it is like). read more

How can u say no the aroma of soft Auntie Anne's pretzel. It's fresh, buttery, and makes you happy smelling it. I get the pepperoni, sour cream and onion, almond, or hot dog w/out dip. Just about any pretzel cannot fail, I eat it w/out dip. But it pairs so well with their lemonade. Try the blueberry or raspberry it's delish! I don't mind waiting the 5-10 minute wait for a fresh pretzel. Remember to use your stamp card; it's worth it and if you sign up for their fan club you get free promo on delicious pretzels. I give a minus for the inconsistency; I've had problems with the stamp card before and sometimes they stamp and other times they don't. It's strange and a little upsetting; because I'm a loyal customer that comes often. Other than that this place is YUMMY; way better than Wetzel Petzel. I believe there are actually 2 Auntie Anne's in the Westfield Santa Anita mall: one on the second floor next to Old Navy, and the other is a large booth within the nucleus of the mall (towards the Nordstrom's branch). It's the latter that I always associate with, as I used to work at Ritz Camera (which I believe has been replaced by a grooming salon). Back in the day, I'd come here using my mall employee discount to get these large $1 lemonades/sodas. Awesome. So there's a bit of nostalgia to this place for me. Unfortunately those days are behind me... and without that discount, isn't a place I frequent much anymore. Nevertheless, it can be cheaper to get a quick snack here than a meal at most places here at the mall. The silver lining is that they have a birthday club, where they'll mail you a coupon for a free pretzel (no expiration date either). How awesome is that? So yesterday I headed off to the mall to redeem it. Got myself a garlic flavored pretzel, which is just a plain pretzel with a lot of garlic powder. The odor is strong, as my cousins would tell me, even long after finishing it. Warm, soft and moist. Sometimes a bit greasy at times... Not something I can eat regularly as a result, but it was oh so good. The jalapeno and original salted pretzels are pretty good as well, as far as I can recall. As long as they're baked fresh. So sign up for their birthday club. And drop by for a pretzel at least once a year. That's what I do. Auntie Anne's is my absolute favorite pretzel. No longer will I eat a Wetzel's soggy mushy pretzels or Mr. Pretzel's bland pretzel. They don't let their pretzels rest after they roll them out and if you know anything about baking and handling dough. This is a crucial part to a good bake, when you handle the dough for an amount of time you are actually flattening it and taking the air bubbles that build up out. And if you don't let it rest for a second time, you don't allow for these air bubbles to build up again making the pretzels flat and dense and not nice and fluffy on the inside. And their frozen lemonade taste nothing like lemonade, there was no citrus flavor. Just color with ice and liquid. Also, there is a girl with black glasses that just comes off as if she hates her job and comes off as genuinely fake. Not only did she ignore me to continue doing whatever she was doing while I was standing in front of the counter for minutes, but she also gave me an attitude when I asked her questions about the pretzels. I can smell the pretzels aroma as soon as I walk in the mall and I have to fight the craving for crispy outer, soft bready goodness that is Auntie's pretzels. I usually get sour cream and onion because I'm not one for sweets, but I've had a bite of glazin' raisin and it's good too. Boyfriend always gets plain pretzels and I never fail to tell him how bland it must taste. (then I begin to steal bites!) The pepperoni pretzel is amazing too. I never eat pepperoni, I always pick them off of pizzas, but this one is baked really crispy! and best lemonade in the mall! I like it even better than Hot Dog on a Stick's lemonade! A pretzel is a pretzel. I saw they had a sweet almond flavor which sounded delicious! And man, it was!! The little shack was working hard to make more pretzels. They were pretty much selling out and happened to have a nice pile of the almond pretzels. I purchased one with sweet glaze dip and a original lemonade. Everything was delicious.
