Husband and I went for a much needed parents night out with our baby on a Monday. This was perfect for us since we missed the weekend crowd. The staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to move to a table with a bench that would allow for a car seat. They even gave us a designated spot near the front to store our stroller. As new parents it can be intimidating to navigate restaurants, but they made the process so smooth. Our server Sofia was so sweet and thanked us for being one of her first tables off of training. And the food! It was all so flavorful and came out quickly. We will be back and recommending to all of our friends and family! read more

Bacari was such an amazing experience! The menu is a little different because it's tapas-style, with smaller plates made for sharing, but that honestly made the meal even more enjoyable. We were able to order and try several different dishes, and we genuinely loved every single thing that came to the table! Everything was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with quality ingredients. It was so much fun getting to taste a little bit of everything, and there wasn't one dish that disappointed us. The atmosphere was beautiful, the entire experience felt special, the the service was AMAZING ( literally everyone is beyond nice) and I'm already looking forward to going back and trying even more of the menu. The food was very enjoyable. They have a great variety of delicious options. Wonderful for date night or a group outing. My party interacted primarily with 3 individuals. The manager Abraham was very personable and visited us often to ensure our satisfaction. He highlighted our server Sam as the man. Unfortunately, Sam was a let down. He was very forgetful. He responded to every request with an endearing "of course", then he would move on and forget for 5-10 minutes. When he returned and we asked again, the reply was "of course", then he'd forget.. he needs to get it together. Luckily a young man named Derek came to the rescue later and delivered on each request without needing to be asked a 2nd or 3rd time. I get that the restaurant was busy, but that's no excuse. Side note: Sam, don't call your customer "boss", try "my friend", trust me. I must mention the lighting. They keep the restaurant abnormally dark. We arrived at 6, it was very dark and the competing daylight made it worse. Once it got dark outside, it finally got a bit better, until just after 8pm when they dimmed the lights further. So strange. What good is serving creative, (i think) vibrant dishes if your customers can't see it? If I am to rely solely on candle light, each table needs 3 or 4, not 1. Last mention, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert which was delicious. Though Sam never mentioned that the cast iron would be scolding hot. We didn't burn ourselves because we assumed it would be, but he should absolutely caution the guest. He needs to be trained on that as well. We've been going to Bacari locations all over the city for years and we were happy to hear they opened in Long Beach. We went for a birthday and wanted rooftop seating. Reservations: 10/10. Easy and they send you a text to confirm. They even responded to my text when I asked about cake cutting - they don't charge!! Parking: 9/10. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you don't want to pay for valet. Facility: 10/10: although the top floor is not really a rooftop, it's more open air, the top floor was cute and had an upstairs bar as well as a downstairs bar. Some of the tables were very close together. Overall it was super cute and what you'd expect from Bacari. Bathrooms: 5/10: Sadly, the bathrooms weren't very clean when we were there at 8pm. Food: 7/10. Bacari is a place where you can experiment because their food items are meant to be shared. They are smaller plates in nature, but you can get lots of items and try them out. Food: Overall, their food tends to be over saturated with certain ingredients in one way or another and this goes for all Bacari locations. Either everything comes with "lemon" or everything has some sort of "nut" and it's too much. Not everyone wants nuts on their food, and in some cases it's just not even necessary and seems to be a "filler". Besides that, my daughter is severely nut allergic and had to get a special menu which lowered the outcome of our experience. I'm not even allergic to nuts - I just don't like them on my food! Charred broccoli: 10/10. Very good! House baguette with oil: 9/10. Sliced thin, warm and tasty - we ordered two! Sea Bass: 9/10. These sea bass itself was a bit bland but when you top it with the corn it was another level. Shawarma tacos: 6/10. These were flavorful but just not our vibe. Bacari fries (no egg): 6/10. The sauce was ok, none of us were really impressed with this dish and would skip next time. Prices: 10/10: Since their menu is mainly small plates it's pretty reasonable. Service: 10/10. No issues! First time at BACARI ! Really enjoyed our brunch. The space looks noticeably better than before -- the updated décor feels warmer, more polished, and gives the restaurant a much more inviting atmosphere. The music was also great and set the perfect upbeat-but-relaxed tone for a Sunday brunch. We shared several dishes, including the beef and veggie burekas, chilaquiles, avocado toast, shawarma tacos, and watermelon. Everything worked well for sharing, which is one of the things I like most about Bacari. We also enjoyed a couple bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, so it turned into a very leisurely brunch. There were big groups which is to be expected at brunch but one table brought a newborn, who they passed around the table like an appetizer. Not sure why people think brunch is appropriate for newborns, or even children, but luckily we were almost done when they sat. Overall, the combination of good, shareable food, improved atmosphere, great music, and a fun setting made for a really enjoyable afternoon. Will be back for happy hour soon! read more

Such a great new spot in Long Beach! Located in the former Michael's/Bacari space, this place already has a lively energy and was definitely busy when I visited. It's a great place to meet up with friends, but I also really liked the atmosphere for going by yourself, sitting at the bar, or having a date night. Abe was my bartender and he was fantastic! He made me an amazing Eastside/Eastern Standard cocktail -- depending on what you call it -- and it was perfectly made and so refreshing. I also tried the stuffed mushrooms, and they were delicious and full of flavor. Between the drinks, food, atmosphere, and service, I really enjoyed my experience. It's nice to see something new and vibrant in this Long Beach location. I'll definitely be back! read more

i absolutely love bacari and have been to every location in LA so i was so hyped to know that a bacari opened up in long beach! made a reservation over the phone on the day of and drove over valeted my car ofc & walked into the restaurant and the vibes were great! i like that this location doesn't have too many trees and foliage around like the LA locations because although it's super aesthetic and beautiful, a lot of the leaves would fall into my food and drinks so the LB location is great if you want a cute rooftop with no foliage xD we ordered all of our favorites and tried some other things shrimp ceviche, bacari burger, fried chicken sliders. our absolute favorite dishes are the jidori chicken wings (get the sauce on the side, tastes better; we forgot to ask for it on the side this time), ricotta & beet gnocchi, chicken schnitzel, & tripoline pasta. everything was really yummy except the tripoline pasta was a bit too hard, other than that everything was exceptional! ofc for dessert we had to order our absolute favorite Best Cake Ever with no bacon bits & OMG it was sooo heavenly. i told my bf that next time i wanna order my own bc it's so good i hate sharing it xD service was great, even though it was a busy ass night they were very attentive and personable. absolutely stoked that a Bacari opened up closer to me, i'll be coming all the time now & bringing all my friends and family too HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! read more

This Bacari location is located on 2nd street in Long Beach and is fairly new. Hype is still real so make reservations! We went on a Friday night and a few days prior we checked for reservations and they were BOOKED! We took our chances as walk ins around 6:15pm and were quoted almost two hour wait-- luckily ended up only being 45 minutes! We were seated on the rooftop by luck which had all the summer vibes. Perfect for a girls night! We did opt in to the 90 minute open bar which is $30 per person for sangria and beer. Cocktails are $40 per person. Our server kept the drinks going and I was there for it! The food is tapas style so we ordered quite a few dishes. All the dishes were chef kiss. Highly recommend the chicken schnitzel, bacari fries, street corn and the schwarma tacos. We also ordered dessert which was so good. The chocolate cake and bread pudding were top tier. Although the kitchen was a bit behind the food quality was fantastic and absolutely delicious! Great food, excellent service... patio can warm in afternoons but that's just summer in the LBC. Great for groups either dinner or light apps/drinks. Drinks are fantastic!!! I've gone here twice: first time, sat inside in the evening and the other, outside on the patio 5-6 pm. Inside was cooler on a hot summer day. Food: favs are the sea bass (crispy outer with flaky center and crema/corn tomato side), Mediterranean street corn, and Tripoli's pasta. Ceviche is citrusy and fresh. Moroccan cigars were good, though on our next visit we'd probably branch out since there are so many other dishes that look worth trying. Chicken schnitzel is amazing. Falafel is great too! Ambiance: the patio is decorated beautifully and the place is buzzing with excited guests, so it could be loud for some. I'd say eat outside with big groups. The sun hits the patio thru the gap under the canopy, there's a roller shade one side to block it. Inside is good for more intimate dining, it's a moody vibe with sexy lighting. Loved it. Drinks: amazing. Want to come back for the 90 minute open bar ($35-45!) Overall a great place, will be back next month, but won't be sitting on the patio when the sun is setting like that. read more

The Long Beach Bacari is so sexy and just as good as the other Bacaris that I've been to. I told a friend, who lives in Long Beach, that we MUST go and try them out. So, during a bike ride, we stopped in for lite bites and a drink. The drink she ordered couldn't be made because they were out of Aperol. No problem, she ordered something different and we went on to have a great time. Later, a server walks over with the Aperol drink (fully garnished) and said "this is on the Manager." We couldn't believe that customer service!!! They went to the store right after we ordered, came back and made the exact drink that she had originally asked for. THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT. And thank you to the owners of Bacari for showing your management and staff how to serve your customers. I am a repeat customer and each time, they impress me more! The food was good. We were a group of 7 celebrating finally hanging out outside of work and when the team found out we were nurses, they comped all of our dessert orders. Phenomenal staff. Thank you G! The food was tasty but very expensive for small portions. Keeping that in mind, it is a good restaurant for the aesthetics and yummy bites. It's also the type of place where it's hard to hear the person you're talking to. It was also quite hot even in the dining room as I noticed seeing all the waiters struggling to keep cool. I booked a reservation 2 days in advance and there was plenty of availability, and it was during dineLA too. When we were there we noticed a lot of people waiting outside so definitely book ahead if possible. We each got the dineLA meals and then added extra plates since it was pretty small. We also got drinks for happy hour: the sangria and the Socal Staple. Both were okay, I was originally requesting the Blushing Botanica but it was out of stock. For food we had the following for dineLA: 1. App- romaine heart salad, Main: Brussel sprouts & grilled chicken breast, Dessert: vegan double chocolate cake 2. App- tuscan kale salad, Main: tripoline pasta & sea bass, Dessert: malabi Extras: scallop medallions, chicken schnitzel Everything was $190 for two people and didn't quite fill us up. The tuscan kale salad, tripoline pasta, sea bass, and chicken schnitzel were tasty and I could recommend. The romaine heart, brussel sprouts, and grilled chicken breast were okay and I probably wouldn't get them again. The scallops were actually not full scallops but almost like blended or ground up scallops, as explained by our waiter, which made the texture and density quite different from a normal scallop, which definitely made them more dense and chewy. The grilled chicken breast tasted very tangy and almost like mustard, with strong flavors from the jalapeno. The vegan double chocolate cake was served with ice cream as recommended by our waiter but it wasn't very sweet and you could definitely tell it was vegan. The malabi was even less sweet/tasty and the taste from the hibiscus was the main flavor as the custard itself was very plain. The seating was pretty tightly packed, the table we were sat at for two was wedged between two larger tables by the front window and felt uncomfortable as there was little room to get up or even have anything protrude from our table. It could have definitely been placed somewhere else or been removed altogether. We checked out the upstairs outdoor area which had a nice ambiance and great view of the sunset but the bar was full so unfortunately we could not take a seat there. Parking is the usual situation for 2nd st, but we got there early evening on a Friday and luckily found a close spot on the street so we didn't have to pay for valet. Overall, if you're looking to eat lightly and splurge on unique flavors this would be a good spot. But just keep in mind the small aspects of both the food and the space. read more

We chose Bacari for date night/my wife's birthday as someplace new to try out. The restaurant was cozy, moody and unique in the best ways. I loved the decor and interior of the dining room. Food: the chef recommends 2-3 plates per guest with the intent that guests share family-style. They have a great menu with some really great options. We chose 4 dishes for dinner: Roasted cauliflower- This was one of our favorites, very savory, perfectly cooked and surprisingly delicious for cauliflower. Bacari Burger- an open faced burger with an egg on top, very good, although I could have used a little more 'bite' or 'zing'. I did enjoy it, but might opt for something else at our next visit. Moroccan Cigars- think egg-roll and taquito fusion, these were absolutely delicious, savory, a bit spicy and so fresh. Asian Pear & Brie pizza- a fantastic and unique pizza, mixing savory and sweet, with a light crunch from the roasted greens. Drinks: My wife got a cocktail, I don't remember the name but she loved it, we may make a few trips back just for that drink. I got the Bacari Beer, which paired well with all our food, crisp and refreshing with a moderate body. Service: When we arrived at 5:30 the restaurant was mostly empty, our server explained that all the staff attend to guests as a family- I enjoyed the idea and found the service very friendly. Around 6:45/7 the dinner rush hit and I think the shared responsibility of all the tables between the staff left us a bit "forgotten". Not a big deal, but we sat for 15-20 minutes after our table was cleared and leftovers packed up waiting for the check. After I flagged someone down we promptly got the check. All in all a good experience and great food. We will be returning for more date nights. I definitely recommend Bacari for small parties, date nights and special occasions. read more

I came for dinner a couple of times now and had a positive experience the first time, but had a pretty serious alarm the second visit. For anyone with shellfish allergies, they fry crab cakes in the fryer, so beware of anything fried! It's not written on the menu, and one of my friends just happened to mention it as we were ordering. Then, our server, Ava, informed us about the oil in the fryer and advised us to avoid anything fried. Yikes! Can't imagine how awful it would've been had my friend not mentioned her allergy! The first time was with a party of 8 for a friend's birthday. Leah greeted us at the table and got us started with drinks. We love the open bar options they have for 90 minutes! $35 for beer and wine, $40 for beer, wine and well drinks. $5 extra for each specialty drink. A few people took Leah up on the offer and she was great about coming back for rounds of drinks so everyone got their money's worth. I just had 2 cocktails. The first being the Bacarita, which is their twist on margarita with basil infused tequila, watermelon, lime and jalapeño. Refreshing and not too spicy. Second was the Tokyo Sunset, containing mars iwai 45 whisky, shiso leaf, yuzu, lime, grapefruit zest. The citrus balanced the whisky and the fresh shiso leaf was fragrant. Glad I got to try a lot of dishes with a large party. Not one item was terrible, although a few stood out over others. My favorites: Watermelon salad - hibiscus-infused, whipped feta, arugula, crushed pistachio, urfa chili, pickled rind. Light, refreshing, and unique! Moroccan Cigars - stuffed with lamb & chicken, roasted nut & garlic honey glaze, pickled onion, tour crema. They're like egg rolls, but they were incredibly flavorful with herbs and spices. Party in my mouth! Sea bass - pan seared, charred shishito, corn, shallot, tomato, tarragon aioli, pomegranate molasses, grilled lemon. The bass was cooked perfectly and the charred lemon and vegetables complemented it well. Good for sharing: Bacari fries with "bcn" sauce and fried egg Brussels sprouts Crudo Fried chicken sliders Mac & cheese Margarita pizza Stuffed mushrooms The Best cake! Bread pudding a la mode! The menu is pretty overwhelming to look at. The list of hot items is long and in no particular order. The indoor dining area downstairs is romantic with ornate columns, candle lighting and chandeliers, while the rooftop is airy, but pretty tightly packed. Being a hot and new spot, reservations are strongly recommended. Wait times are long on weekends. Valet and street parking are available. read more

The dishes were very very enjoyable but the service was slightly lacking as it's a new restaraunt and many waiting staff are still in training. Will be returning for sure regardless. What a fun experience to order so many small dishes and get a taste of many different items on the menu. I wasn't disappointed with anything. Everything was the perfect size for 2 people to share, but 3 would work too. I think if there were 4 in your party, you may start feeling like you didn't get to try enough of each dish. The lamb hummus is delicious and the corn was extremely flavorful with a squirt of lemon over it. Flat iron steak was cooked perfectly. So tender and juicy. The burrata was great but what was even better was the fresh pesto hiding under the baguette!!! Amazing pesto. Must try this. Overall I enjoyed the style of this restaraunt. Food items generally didn't take too long to come out and it's a fun experience. I believe as the restaraunt in this location becomes more established, it will begin functioning a bit more smoothly. Fantastic from reservation to post visit!!! I am familiar with their other locations and was excited to finally have one nearby. Our party of 6 dined in to celebrate a friend's birthday during the 1st month of opening. I made the reservation! There was a text message shortly after to confirm, including a link if changes needed to be made. There were reminder texts/confirmation day of. (Not annoying, just 2-3 total) Arriving at the restaurant, we easily found street parking. They do have valet. Choosing to dine on the patio, we were led upstairs within minutes. The patio is super cute and weather was perfect. Only downside is tables are tight and we felt squished together. Luckily, we had an early reservation so getting an extra table to give us more space was super helpful. The dishes are small tapas style so sharing is ideal. That is exactly what we did. This allowed us to try so much. We pretty much loved everything. The variety was fantastic! Although we were super full, we decided dessert was a must. 6 desserts, 6 friends, 1 bite each....yes please! Truly the best way to go. This location was just as amazing as all my visits to others. Let me start off by saying that the manager, Justin, was great and rectified to the best of his abilities what had gone wrong. I had a birthday dinner reservation at 4:15pm and we were seated immediately. We had ordered a total of 10 dishes, however, we were told that the Asian pear pizza was already sold out (they open at 4pm and they sold out by 4:20pm). It had been about 45 minutes since we ordered and we noticed that out of the 3 dishes that had been served, none of them was the watermelon salad. When we asked the waitress about the item, she had said "oh it's sold out." I would have appreciated if she had told us prior to us asking. About an hour and 15 min into our meal, not having received any of our entrees yet. A new table had been seated next to us about halfway thru, and we noticed that they were eating the Asian pear pizza. Not sure how they were able to order that if they sat down after and we were told its sold out? There seems to be a lot of miscommunication between all staff. I wish I could say the food was good enough to make me forget about the service, but it's not even close. The Moroccan cigars weren't even filled.. they only filled the tips! read more

My aunt and I visited Bacari in Long Beach and arrived right when they opened at 4:30pm. The restaurant has two levels--a downstairs bar and seating area, and an upstairs rooftop dining space. Of course, we chose the rooftop for the ambiance and views, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is truly a whole vibe, especially with live music adding to the energy of the space. The bartender was excellent, and the wait staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Service overall was great from start to finish. We mostly enjoyed drinks and appetizers, and it's the perfect spot for that kind of experience--a relaxed, stylish place to hang out with friends or family. Second visit in two weeks! We visited on opening night and then late the following week. Still early in their new location in Long Beach. We usually avoid businesses just opening uo, but this one definitely has its act together- service and food! We ordered some of the same dishes we had (and loved) on our first visit, and some new ones. The dishes we had before, tasted just the same and beautifully presented. We love that the dishes ate shareable. This visit it was just our family. We went during Happy Hour (430-6pm) and everything was $2 off including specialty drinks (with well). We were seated upstairs on the patio. Summer months and a nice spot to relax and enjoy foid and drinks. Cocktails ate excellent. We had Bacaritas (again), Chill Pills, and Express Yourself (Espresso Matini). Very tasty and great presentation. Food - we ordered Burrata Capreese (again), Fried Chicken Sliders, Chicken Schnitzel (again), Sea Bass, and Brussel Sprouts (again). Dessert - we ordered The Best Cake (again) and rhe Pistachio Cremeschnitte. Their coffees are great too! Everything was so good! Definitely the Fried Chicken Sliders (cornbread coating) is a MUST! Bacari has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach! From the moment you walk in, the service is great manager even came up to introduce himself --consistently attentive, welcoming, and truly 10/10. The rooftop offers a chic, cozy, European-inspired atmosphere that's perfect for a night out, while the interior is dark, sexy, and equally inviting with its sophisticated ambiance. I've visited several times now, so unfortunately I didn't get photos of everything I've tried, but one thing remains consistent: every dish is packed with flavor and executed like art ! For cold dishes, I highly recommend the watermelon salad, shrimp ceviche, rainbow beets, and the kale salad. On the hot side, the sea bass, grilled chicken, salmon, flat iron steak, gnocchi, stuffed mushroom and margarita pizza are all standouts. Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the hostess and promptly seated on time for our reservation. We were seated downstairs, which was quite crowded. All of the tables were a little too close together. It was so dark that you needed a light to see your food and the menu. I would request to sit upstairs next time because the upstairs is much more open feeling and brighter. We ordered the crudo, lamb hummus and open face bacari burger. -The crudo was a dance of flavors with citrus, mint, chili and a few other spices. It tasted like you were on a beach somewhere tropical. -The lamb hummus was fantastic if you like the taste of lamb. Flavored with incredible spices and accompanied by two nice sized pitas. -The burger had a unique smoky flavor and the sauce was also delicious. Very unique tasting burger and unlike any other burger I've tried. Overall, I'd come back another time. I'd recommend to sit on the upstairs roof and would try a lot of new items. The only point off would be because it was so crowded and dark. I think they need to space out the tables a little bit more. read more

Ambience - fantastic, especially the rooftop, which is a fun and happening scene with a nice view. Food- mix of small plates, and my friend loved her sea bass and charred broccoli. My smoked mushroom pizza was fine, although I wish the crust were less soggy. My watermelon starter salad had some great texture with the pistachio bits but overall was not a cohesive plate and had too much yogurt dressing. The presentations were lovely, and cocktail list is varied and interesting. Service was a little disorganized but friendly. Came here for a birthday dinner. We had a reservation and they sat us inside in a corner table/booth. It was too dark for my liking, I wish we would have sat upstairs but it wasn't offered. The service was solid. They were out the of the wine I originally wanted but my espresso martini was delicious. We ordered so much food as its tapas style. My favorites were the mushroom pizza and gnocchi. The bill was hefty. Lastly, not that it's a big deal, but I brought a cake and it was meant to be a surprise. Unfortunately the server mentioned the cake so many times in front of the whole table (not directly to me), knowing I intentionally came in early to let her know. But overall I'd try it again upstairs only for brunch. Not my favorite dinner spot. read more

Hipsterish and delightful. Emmy chit chatted about the restaurant while we walked up the stairs to the roof top. Our party of 8 was well taken care of by many of the staff checking in on us. Sophia was attentive and made sure those that had the bottomless wine/mimosas for 90 minutes were WELL taken care of. Hale to draft wine!! Everyone enjoyed what they had ordered and the birthdays girls were given dessert. The menu is extensive and has many vegetarian and gluten free dishes. Guys....BE CAREFUL....a chill dinner on a Tuesday might turn into a crazy night. The vibes, the food, the service? All perfect. We visited this place few weeks ago and had such a great experience. Everything was amazing -- the staff, the food, and the decor. Gabe recommended a few dishes for us, and every single one was delicious. I was especially surprised by how extensive their gluten-free menu is. Most restaurants only have a handful of gluten-free options, but the list here was huge! I'm the only one in our group who needs to eat gluten-free, and everyone still loved everything we ordered. My personal favorites were the gluten-free mushroom pizza and the watermelon salad -- both were absolutely delicious. I also ordered the sangria, which was great. The staff was very attentive, and even the manager stopped by to check on us, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had such a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back! read more

Came here with my girlfriends on a Friday evening and it was amazing! The crudo dish was so fresh, the chicken breast and the guava pizza were my faves! The service overall was great!! We sat upstairs which was such a vibe. Justin and Derrick were very courteous and super helpful with the menu. I will def come back with my bf for date night! read more

Loveeee Bacari and when I found out they were coming to Long Beach, I was absolutely ecstatic. The food is amazing, it's honestly hard to even choose one thing as my favorite because literally everything is 10/10. I also book my company's employee outings and had to take that opportunity and book an entire room at this location for a dinner. The ambience was very intimate and such a vibe, everyone was raving about it for weeks after and is still literally talking about the food today and that was around a month ago. The service was top notch for our dinner, especially a big shout out to Justin & Brandon. They were both so on point the entire night and everything moved smoothly and quickly. Just how I like it! Since this is a newer restaurant, I set birthday reservations for a party of 4 at 4:15 pm on a Saturday. I was hoping for a smooth experience by beating the busyness of the dinner crowd. Unfortunately, the early dinner did not go as planned. Parking was fine, with street parking and valet available. We arrived at the host stand and were seated almost immediately. Walking into the restaurant was a delight because of how cute it is inside. We were seated and quickly got our drink orders in. Then we ordered the tapas/plates at 4:25ish. Our initial order included the watermelon salad, corn, crudo, oyster mushroom, cigars, flat iron steak, sea bass, burger, pork belly, and asian pear & brie pizza. The server notified us that the asian pear pizza was sold out despite the restaurant just opening; we thought that was a bummer since that was what really caught our eye, so we went ahead with the margherita pizza. Here's where it went wrong with the delay of these tapas arriving at the table... practically 1 plate at a time for a party of 4... 4:41pm Mediterranean corn, 4:45pm crudo, 5:04pm oyster mushroom flatbread, 5:20pm moroccan cigars, 5:23pm margherita pizza with salami, 5:24pm flat iron steak, 5:36pm comped fried chicken tapa + sea bass, 5:37pm burger, 5:42pm pork belly, 6:07pm best cake bday dessert, 6:08pm chocolate cake (we didn't even order it, just a random additional dessert), and 6:12pm rose dessert. We basically had a 2-hour dinner for food that was honestly unimpressive. When we got maybe our third plate, we asked the server where the watermelon salad was since it's a cold item and figured it was quick and easy to make. She checked on it and then told us they were out of watermelon; to her defense, she said no one notified her about the 86'd item. But here's the gag.. As we were nearing the end, there was a party of 3 that were seated maybe an hour after us that looked like they had the asian pear pizza on their table. I asked, and it was indeed the pear pizza (they said it was delicious). Why weren't we notified about it being back in stock and given the option to order it? I think the lack of communication among server/kitchen/management needs major improvement. We voiced our concerns to Justin, the manager. Justin was hospitable, listened, and understood our frustration. I appreciate how he handled the situation. Food review: The items I enjoyed were the fried chicken tapa courtesy of the manager, oyster mushroom flatbread, best cake, and rose dessert. The drinks were great. The corn was okay, the crudo had a questionable texture and was plain, the moroccan cigars were not even filled all the way and were basically 1/3 empty, the marg. pizza was basic, the flat iron steak was good, the sea bass was disappointing, the burger was okay, and the pork belly was overloaded with the hoison-y sauce they used. Overall, I would love to return to try other tapas and drinks. I hope this experience does not repeat. read more

Came here for the FIRST Time the day prior to July 4th and knew that it would be busy so my friend made reservations about a week prior to visiting. Unfortunately had to knock one star due to one particular host on arrival. There were two hostess and one greeted us with a smile while the other did not. The one that greeted us with a smile asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating after we said we had reservations and we kindly stated "outdoor". However after we said outdoor the hostess that did not smile said "there are no available seats outdoor". Mind you this was at 4:45pm, nearly after they just opened. She guided us inside and we saw that the indoor seating was quite dim and we really wanted to sit where there was more light so we asked if we could possibly try the bar upstairs. The hostess said the bar was likely full. So we decided to shoot our shot anyway. Went upstairs and the bar had two seats and we needed 3. However, the outdoor seating was pretty empty at this time. Another employee approached us and asked if we needed assistance and we told him we have reservations and would like to request outdoor seating so this kind gentleman went to go talk to the host. My friend remembered she was messaging back and forth with someone at the restaurant for confirmation and the restaurant stated they would accommodate outdoor seating. However even though we showed the hostess the text message, she kept trying to dismiss it as if it didn't matter because the initial reservation stated inside. But if you are confirming a reservation and stated we could sit outdoors, I think that should be honored. As a hostess, first impressions are VERY important as you are the first person a customer sees upon entering an establishment. A warm welcome really makes a difference. So despite a rough start to our dining experience. We were kindly accommodated and got to sit outdoors. Our waiter was Noah and he was great. Checked on us often and made a few recommendations. We enjoyed a few cocktails prior to our meal and they were pretty good. Everything on the menu is shareable and tapas style. Our favorite was the Crudo! After an hour, the restaurant got real busy! I would say this place is great for grabbing a nice drink and enjoying conversations! I recommend getting here early if you don't have reservations as there were a lot of people waiting near the bar area and downstairs. Just a PSA: this restaurant is not located in the hub of 2nd street but rather on Naples island. I would come back here and try more of their food! read more

They have a happy hour from 4:30-6pm M-F. All the food we ordered was delicious. We even ordered the crudo twice. Such a great vibe to hang out with friends and catch up on life. I received a Yelp alert about a popular new restaurant in LB, so I decided to give it a try! This is a two story establishment, and when we arrived (with a reservation) I asked if we could be seated upstairs to enjoy the beautiful evening and sunset. The hostess said that the only places we could be seated had just been used to seat large parties and she didn't advise wasting our time waiting. Slightly disappointing, but we made our way to a tiny table for two placed in what can be described as a walkway between larger tables on either side- very cramped and several servers accidentally bumped into me over the course of the evening. I was so curious about what the upstairs looked like I decided to go sneak a peek while we waited for our drink orders. Imagine my surprise to see several tables for two open when we were told ten minutes before that a table upstairs would not be possible. Hm. It was rather disappointing to miss the sunset, and as the night continued, the downstairs portion of the restaurant dimmed the lights abruptly and so low that everyone sitting near us remarked on the sudden plunge into darkness and whipped out their cell phone flashlights to see the menu. The menu was a plus- vegan and gluten-free options were very clearly labeled. I had looked ahead and was very impressed with the selection available for us gluten-free folks! This is a tapas style restaurant, and we ordered four items which was more than enough. We enjoyed the Asian Pear pizza on gluten free dough and the chicken schnitzel (a tiny bit spicy- an unexpected surprise). The Bacari Fries were good, but I wish we had skipped them to try some of the other menu items. The charred broccoli was super salty for some reason- we asked for it to be made again but even then it was a bit much for us. The Love Letter cocktail was so fun but quite sweet- it came with a roasted marshmallow on top. And ofc I had to try the Gin and Juice since we were in the LBC- it was great! Not pictured is the Kind of a Big Dill cocktail that got good reviews from the hubby. We took home a piece of The Best Cake, but I have to disagree with the name. I'm not sure if it was because we didn't eat it right away, but by the time we got home and tried it it had a very sticky, mochi - like consistency and reminded us both of butter toffee that had gone stale. Overall, I wanted to love this place because it's adorable and they have a lot of gluten-free options. However, sitting downstairs was dark, cramped, and we learned waaaayyy too much about the people sitting on either side of us due to the lack of space. Our server was sweet, but seemed like she was spread too thin and had a few very high maintenance tables along with ours. We are willing to give it another try one day - but I will definitely try to sit upstairs! read more
