I mean what the hell. Showed up with a party of 10 ready to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend. We were rudely greeted by their bus girls who turned us away for a private event. Love it! Some friends and I had the chance to try out Bar Ciccheti last weekend, and we had the best time. The ambiance is hip, but elegant. Our waitress took great care of us, giving us some background on the restaurant and providing some recommendations. We split three appetizers and two desserts so we could get a sampling of what the menu had to offer. We had heard about the crispy cauliflower, and it was surprisingly good, just as we had been told. The honey parmesan ribs were sticky and delicious. We also tried the artichoke fonduta, which I also really enjoyed. If you have a sweet tooth, you are sure to love the cookie skillet or the cinnamon roll bread pudding. Both were very sweet, and oh so good! We went here for a graduation dinner with a large group. The service was fast, accurate, and attentive. We were kind of like herding stray cats, but the server took control and got us taken care of. We had several of the appetizers, but the truffle mushroom toast and gnocchi were the winners. I used to love going to En Croute back in the day for the mushroom toast, and that's what I was hoping for. This one was even better. I think I could eat 4 of them and still want more. The beef manicotti was good, I enjoyed it, but it was a tad bland compared to the flavors we got in the appetizers. The crab lasagna was delicious. For dessert we had the crème brûlée, cinnamon bread pudding, and chocolate cake. All three were fantastic. Chef, keep up great work. We'll be back soon! read more

A new favorite! Everything from the drinks to the staff was great. I ordered the Mediterranean Salad and the Slow Braised Pork Ribs. Both were tasty - the ribs were the best I've ever had (tender, crispy skin, flavorful) and the salad was not what I expected in the best way! My fiancée got the crab lasagna and he loved it. Food was good, I would say food only it's a 4.5/5! The service though was a bit shaky, place seems to be very understaffed while some people didn't even look like they worked there. Our waiter was Jacob, he was really polite and checked in with us plenty of times offering service! Overall the food was very good. Their drinks were by far my favorite which is common I've noticed among other reviews! We got reservations although we could've been seated right away. The music playing was great and noticed their lovely patio! I had an espresso martini that was out of this world delicious! I had the shrimp pasta dish i ate every last bite without any issues. Our waitress talked to us a total of 2 times ( to get drink and appetizers and deliver our food) she was very neglectful and out of our 5 different meals that was ordered only 3 of them were good. We went in December (on the 15th) for their holiday drinks that were posted online and a few of them were no longer available, which I thought was a little odd since it was mid-December. We came here for a work event with 25 people and they let us use the entire upper floor. This is an amazing space for a party with plenty of room to roam, stand around the bar, and eat at the tables. They let us use drink tickets and set up a custom prefix menu to hit our budget. The staff was all amazing and super nice. The food was also outstanding. The cauliflower app was so good I couldn't even tell what it was. Almost tasted like chicken tenders. The goat meatballs were also amazing. Very flavorful and moist. I needed some more tzazaki though. I got the waygu sirloin for my entree and was blown away. There is no way you would know this isn't a $60 steak from the best steakhouse in town. The carmal sauce is a must, seriously you have to get it. Their bread pudding was soo good, and I don't even like sweets that much. Everyone I was with couldn't stop eating it, so addicting. Over all good. Loved the atmosphere and their Mediterranean salad was very good. I was disappointed in the lamb meatballs, as they were very gamie and obviously previously cooked and reheated which explains the strong flavor. Maybe a bit more mint would have taken the edge away, I had an alcoholic beverage which worked to cut the pungent flavor. The reason I'm giving it a three star is, our server left for the night. No hand off, no other staff stepped up, badly done and disappointing. We sat there for fifteen-twenty minutes ready to leave, before we flagged someone down and asked for our server. ...Oh, they are gone for the night.... So we were there 1/2 hr longer than expected. I ate dinner here on Saturday night with the high hopes of jazz music during dinner, but it was definitely pop radio. I would adjust the description to reflect that. The drinks were great! I had an aviation and a twisted citrus, a friend had the margarita, and another friend had the cherry limeade (sans alcohol). All of them were fantastic. The patatas bravas were delicious and the gnocchi was good. The special was curried spaghetti (the spaghetti was house made with activated charcoal) and we called it "goth spaghetti." Bar Cicchetti is one of my favorite restaurants in OKC, especially when I'm grabbing dinner with a few friends or colleagues after work. The menu has sufficient variety, the ambiance is stellar, and the prices are remarkably reasonable. The seating is a bit cramped and challenging for larger groups, but such is the reality of a restaurant in this building row. I don't hold that against it. What's holding back the last star is quite simply execution. For example, the cinnamon roll bread pudding, while phenomenal in taste, was just a bit underdone. The wagyu beef skewers - again, delicious - were remarkably tough despite being rather accurately cooked. A few tweaks and this is an easy 5/5. Nonetheless, still one of my favorites in OKC. Fried Chicken - Crunchy, sweet (from the molasses), and tangy (from the red onion). Gnocchi - Pillowy soft and a great flavor. Would appreciate a bit less sauce and a harder sear on them. Wings - Crunchy, good size, and a mildly sweet sauce. Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding - Seriously, flavor is unreal. Among the best bread puddings I've ever tasted. Just needs a bit more time cooking. Skewers - Delicious marinade and the peppers accompanying are a nice balance. Just very tough and difficult to chew. Deep Deuce Margarita - No notes. Very tasty. read more
