The communication through DoorDash is unmatched. They're amazing people! I got to meet the son of the owners and he was super sweet and kind. I cannot wait to meet his Mom n Dad! Vegan AF is SO Good!! Their Vegan Steak Plate is THE BEST Vegan steak I have Ever had, hands down! I have gotten that every time. I've also tried their Chicken Shawarma Pita Wrap with Fries & Kaboburrito, both really yummy and good size portions. Their Small Side of Hummus is so creamy & delicious, I wish I'd gotten the Larger size. I usually get the food to go, but it's a nice open place at their Venice location to sit down to dine in. 10/10. Come out and check out the steak plate everything in it was SO good! Steak is tender with amazing flavor and the texture is shockingly accurate. Best vegan steak I've ever had. Hummus and mixed pickled veg were also delicious and the pita on the side was the icing on the cake. Rice was super soft and fluffy. Come support good vegan business they deserve it. I came here yesterday with my father and brothers and LOVED it. I live in Culver City and frequent this part of town where the restaurant is located and I am glad I enjoyed the food thoroughly because I will be back. I ordered the kabob plate and everything was so fresh and delicious. It wasn't too busy which I like, and I was able to enjoy my food peacefully while engaging in conversation with my family. The owner is very friendly and personable and you can tell the food is made with love and care. I cannot wait to come back and try the other menu items. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy the food either, that's how good it is! My family never wanted to go because it felt like hanging out in the office break room, especially for the price. Don't be confused by the space shared with a bakery--Bee Wali's has its own window with walk up ordering. Went for the falafel wrap lunch special. Falafels were cooked just like I like them: lightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Wrap fillings added texture and flavor. Fries had a nice seasoning. Enjoyed my lunch under an outdoor umbrella along Venice, but there's lots of seating inside. Parking is relatively easy with a lot behind, or street parking along Westwood. read more

It was a mistake coming here. We've been going to the Eagle Rock location and been supporters of this small mom and pop restaurant for years since they opened up during Covid. We always make a drive out just to support the business. We discovered they had just opened up another location which was closer. Big mistake. Owner didn't say hello or greeted us the whole time we were ordering at the kiosk until I called him out and asked if he was the owner since I recognized meeting him years ago. He recognized us as well and only acknowledged us after. We had small talk about the new location and how business was doing. He said it wasn't doing too well. It is a shared space with another business inside of a small building. He said the business was up and down and wondering where his customers went. We were the loyal customers he was looking for, but we didn't feel the love. He overlooked and bypassed us when he said "where's everyone at?" We were so happy to see the owner and eat at the new restaurant to support him but we got no love. We didn't get the same energy in return. He didn't smile nor was happy to see anyone pop up. It showed on his face. Overall it was a weird interaction. We were so bubbly smiling from ear to ear and excited about the new place--we were even hyping up the new place but he did not look happy at all. He looked stressed or did not give off that friendly vibe. Just had a frown and looked annoyed. Perhaps having a bad day? He had a lot on his mind financially--but don't let that show to your customers. It was clearly obvious business wasn't doing well but that doesn't mean you should ignore the presence of your customers. We tipped in advance while dining in (which we shouldn't have). All they did was drop off the food. Never once did he check on us. We even saw the owner check on a girl to see if she needed anything. Owner already got the tip so there was no need for him to check on us. We were literally the only customers but he didn't bother to even ask how everything was going. There were a lot of one-offs that didn't go unnoticed. There were a lot of shortcuts made at this new location. Dining in were served with plastic containers and utensils, the quality of the food went down. The portions were a lot smaller esp the burger. The fries weren't even seasoned like the other place. No flavor at all. The cooks at the original location makes it better. Owner said the place was more of a togo spot. Yet he was complaining that it hasn't blown up yet and blaming that it may possibly be the location or the previous businesses that used to be there. Anyway, long story short we will not be coming back. As loyal customers of this restaurant for years, a little goes a long way. The way we were treated spoke volumes. He didn't see us as loyal customers. He was too concerned with being too negative that he overlooked us being there. There was no rapport here even though we mentioned how long we've been supporting the business. He gave off that negative energy, shown all over his face and that bad vibe certainly rubbed off. He may have looked tired but if you feed into that mentality then the business will not thrive. The hurtful thing is that this came from the actual business owner. It wasn't just an employee or a cook--but the owner himself who missed the opportunity to build relationships and spread business by word of mouth. We got up and left and didn't say anything. Why bother when you can't thank your customers. Lesson learned, for those of you who want to be in business, customer service is everything. read more

I ordered food for the whole family, it was for 8 people. Rice, with steaks, kabab, schwarma, and YES, all vegan!!! Our parents who are mostly carnivores in their 60s, lovvvvveeeeed all the vegan meat! They loved it so much that they asked for the place, so they can order it on their own as well. We also loved the hummus, it was VERY good, not your store quality. Everything fresh. The owner was very kind, professional and accommodating over the phone, everything was ready when it was agreed upon, and everything was 100% on his end.
