We have had a disastrous first experience with Big E Pizza. We ordered online and chose a combo pizza that normally includes sausage. We specified in two places that we did not want sausage. Our dual request for "no sausage" appeared clearly on the order screen and on our emailed receipt. The pizza came in the specified time, but guess what? It came with sausage on it. So we called and they asked if we wanted a new pizza sent out. We said yes. They said it would take 40 minutes. That was 7 p.m. At 8:30, I finally decided it wasn't coming. I called back, told them what had happened, and was placed on hold for about 10 minutes. I can only assume that they put the new pizza in while they had me on hold (though why I should have to sit and listen to an extremely obnoxious hold recording while my pizza was being cooked, I do not know). When they got back on the line, they told us they would be sending the driver with it right away. We told them we had been waiting 2 hours for this pizza. So they offered us $3 our next order. Screw that. What good is a coupon for a place we never want to order from again? The pizza then arrived 18 minutes later. But I have to say, I don't think a refund on the pizza that we ordered at 6:15 and which we only actually got at 8:45 (that is, 2-1/2 hours later) should have been too much to ask. read more

I have been going to this place for a while on special occasions. This is the best pizza spot in SoCal hands down.

So since the Big E expanded in size the service and restrictions are so ridiculous. So I was so excited when I saw there was more space to eat in and after I ate in about 5 times, I noticed that the service was better before. So they take your order, bring it out but never ask if you need anything else or go table touching to see if anybody needs a refill, the bill, etc. the employees just stand around by the counters talking to each other (really when half the tables need stuff). Then they only bring half of the order out and never bring the other half unless its brought to their attention but since their busy talking it takes like an hour to get their attention. So since they are so unprofessional I decide to order on the phone and for dine in and they say I can't do that but I've always been able too (those employees and there nonsense). I am standing at the counter and the girl has the nerve to tell me have a seat like girl the right thing to say is did you need anything you should try reading the book customer service for dummies(better said for idiots). i work customer service and I know what is expected and these employees aren't even halfway there. Also the way they take orders is non sense they cut you off and say thats it and then I am like no I get one more thing out and thats it like the right things to say are would you like anything else with your order, or suggest some items would you like to add some drinks, any salads, etc. their job is so easy and they still seem to mess it up. Where is the manager at??? Where is the owner??? Are they even aware of what is going on?? The only reason I keep going back is because food is great the food gets 5 stars but everything else gets like half a star!!! But if it keeps going that way I will find a place that is worth spending my money at!!! read more

Loved the pizza and cheese sticks. Small restaurant eat in area took the kids. They have delivery and take out, including alcohol.

Their delivery is horrible. Expect cold nasty food in over a hour if it even makes it to your place.

So glad I ordered from them. The Alfredo I got was amazing and cheesy. The garlic bread and salad were good too! I'm about to be a regular!

This was my first time ordering, my boyfriends a regular and recommended that I try a pizza tonight. Fast service, and the bread is fluffy and airy, (not tough like your normal crust) it's SO good!! And a great price for all the meals different as well. Happy to say we are more than pleased! if I had any constructive criticism, it would be that the cinnamon dessert sticks need more cinnamon sugar. The icing is phenomenal. I know it's a pizza place and I shouldn't have ordered ribs, but it sounded good. They were awful. Overcooked, chips of bone when I tried to bite into it and the BBQ sauce was horrendous. My son got a simple roast beef & cheese sandwich and said it was the worst sandwich he ever had. The appetizer meatballs were really good though. Also got a small sun dried tomato & basil pizza...nothing to write home about. Just average. I really wanted to like this place because of the diversity on the menu..ugh...wont order from here again. read more

We have only ever ordered delivery from Big E but their food is so good we keep coming back. We started with their pizza, which is excellent, and ordered a few BBQ wings to accompany it. They were awesome! So we just tried the rib & chicken dinner last night and were floored. Everything we have tried from Big E has been so good! The ribs are tender with tons of meat, the BBQ sauce is perfect and their pizzas are great too. Their salad dressing is even good. This is better than Naples for BBQ and the cost is reasonable. Not that we are volume eaters but we got so much food that there's enough to have BBQ for dinner tonight as well. Let's not forget the spaghetti they put on the side. That could be 2 meals as well and it's excellent. This place deserves 5 stars. I wish people wouldn't rate a restaurant on how fast a delivery guy gets to their house or whether they like the sign outside or other non-food related issues. This business deserves 5 stars. Don't let petty people decide for you. Try their food yourself and have fun doing it. :) read more

Cool guy didn't get his name shows up like 1215 and calls me. I was so damn tired I passed out and didn't hear my phone go off! :( it happens. Best pizza and chef salad in the LBC! This place always offers great deals for any day of the week. Whether it's pick up or delivery the food and service is A+! There was one night we had a pick up order and LA traffic had us an hr late picking up our pizza. We felt horrible but the staff graciously and without asking, remade our two pizzas so they were fresh! Their Hawaiian Pizza is soo delicious, it's always mando to order. Their chef salad is fresh. All the produce is plump and ready to eat. My family and I are definitely repeat customers. read more

There are a lot of good things I can say about this place. The pizza here is some of the best pizza i have ever had. I love cheesy pizza and this place makes the best cheesiest pizza I've had. The employees here have some pretty tough shifts since they are open and deliver until 1am and I have yet to have a server that didn't give me a good experience . The servers here are always friendly and provide great service . Management is also really good here. The manager who is usually here before closing does a great job in making sure the guest are satisfied with their meal even if it is a minute before closing. I highly recommend this restaurant and will never stop coming here for my jalapeño pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings . read more

I gave this place a shot after they left a menu at my job. I checked yelp saw the reviews minus a few cry babies about time frames etc. I guess people don't realize sometimes places get busy... I must agree with most that the pizza was excellent! I also had their wings and as I expected wasn't thrilled about them. I would stick to cirivellos for wings in that area. I would really recommend this place for pizza though. Didn't try anything else. The delivery did take long but they did let me know. read more

Late Friday night in Long Beach approximatly 215am I saw TWO Big E Pizza delivery cars driving irradically and basically racing each other on Redondo blvd and PCH. Very scary. They almost hit multiple cars and did a uturn in the middle of PCH at a red light. Hopefully no one was hurt. read more

It's been a while since I've ordered from this place and now I remember why I don't eat here anymore...the service is still carp like always. Here's how my order went down : Called them to place an order for delivery, receptionist picks up the phone, I tell her "I would like to place an order for delivery please", she then asks me "is this for pickup or delivery?", (OK I just mentioned it, but I'll politely mention it again) "for delivery please" she acknowledges and ask if she can put me on hold, no problem I say, and proceed to hold for about 7-8 minutes; she comes back on the line and asks me "is this for pickup or delivery?" (OK, third times a charm I guess). I politely mention to her again "for delivery please". After a whole bunch of back and forth with my address and phone number, we finally move onto the ordering phase: "Two Italian Supreme subs, and a Calzone stuffed with pepperoni and mushrooms please", she repeats the order back to me " 2 meatball subs and a pepperoni calzone" actually no, it's Two Italian Supreme subs, and a Calzone stuffed with pepperoni and mushrooms please, she tells me "yes that's what I have". I tell her perfect thank you. She tells me it will be $28 and the driver should be there in about 45 mins. About an hour and half later the driver finally arrives; low and behold, I receive two meatball subs, and a calzone stuffed with anchovies, jalepenos and pepperoni. I didn't mind the that they got the subs wrong but the calzones were completely off, so I called them back right away, the same person picks up the phone and I mentioned to her that the calzone order was incorrect (I didn't even mention the subs, I figured lets keep it simple), I gave her my receipt number, she apologizes and tells me that the correct order is being made and will be delivered to me as soon as possible. It's the end of the day now and still no delivery; at this point, I pretty much gave up on the order and called it a $10 loss. I hope the owner reads this review cause I know for a fact the receptionist can't. read more
