Update: two years later I'm still coming here. They've gotten a lot busier now and the aesthetics in the store have gone downhill (no more cute dainty displays) but the flavors are still great. Parking is still kind of a pain but you can find street parking in the residential neighborhood next to the plaza.

Soooooo good. Best bagels I've had. Store is small, it is separated by 2 sides - order and pick-up which keeps the flow organized, the workers are friendly, service was quick (literally 5min). Went at abt 12pm on a Friday and no line. They were sold out of Cali Roll and another one I don't remember the name of. Would definitely come back to try! Price breakdown: 1 Classic $8.50 1 Garlic Asiago $9.00 1 Chili Oil Scallion $9.00 1 Ube Almond $8.75

Yummy stuffed bagels! Came here last Sunday at around 11:30am. The inside is small so it's more of a grab-and-go shop. There were a few people ahead of me, but I was in and out within 10 minutes. Some of the flavors were sold out but there were still a good amount of options to choose from. I ordered 3 bagels, each being $9-9.50. The bagels came out really warm, and they're a good size. The bread was soft and fluffy. Out of the 3 flavors, my favorite would probably be the Garlic Asiago Bloom. It was perfectly garlicky, and I liked the cream/filling inside. The Cali Roll Bloom was also good but I felt the filling was just slightly dry and could've been creamier. The Chili Oil Scallion was also nice but just a little bit too spicy for me. Overall, the bagels were delicious, and I love the concept of stuffed bagels!

Bloom Bagels was all over social media, and after trying them, I can say they are completely worth the hype. By definition, these are not classic, dense, chewy bagels. They feel much more like a soft Korean-style baked bun, but regardless of what name goes on them, they are just delicious. I arrived pretty early in the morning, and it was already quite busy with a line forming, so placing a pickup order in advance seems like the best move for future visits. I picked up three items to share with my family: the Garlic Asiago Bloom, the Jalapeño Bloom, and the Chili Oil Scallion Bloom. My six-year-old nephew claimed the Garlic Asiago Bloom and absolutely loved it, calling it soft and delicious. The Jalapeño Bloom was also extremely good, offering a wonderful kick from the jalapeños alongside a very generous amount of cream cheese. My absolute favorite, however, was the Chili Oil Scallion Bloom. The chili oil flavor was wonderfully prominent and rich. What really stands out is the texture. Every single bloom is pillowy soft, which allows the dough to hold the rich fillings of cream cheese and melted mozzarella together perfectly. Because they are so rich and indulgent, this might not be an everyday bagel spot for me, but it is an incredible, unique treat whenever I want to indulge. Sharing these with my family made for a great experience, and I will definitely be back.

Had a take out for breakfast for some people at our gym. These bagels are so over the top but also SO good. We had an assortment of options from savory to sweet and I love how they cut it like a pizza so everyone can enjoy and try everything I only tried the bacon one that was REALLY good

I was on my way to get some empanadas, but it's hard not to see the line outside of Bloom Bagels. When there's a line, common sense says it's popular, so we joined the line. Apparently, you can order online and go to pick up. They have 2 sides of entrance; the right side is for online order pickup, which avoids queuing and also avoids the risk of being sold out. We waited to get in. The store is small; when I was there, it looked like only 3 parties were in the store at any time. One comes out, one goes in. The staff also wants to maintain a reasonable capacity, so the AC inside is sufficient. They remind guests to close the door or not hold it open. I really like the idea of them posting a QR code so we can check out the live inventory situation before entering the store to order. Not only does this speed up the ordering process, but it also manages expectations. The unfortunate news for us was the Corn and Cheese was sold out. So we got the Garlic Asiago, a seasonal Bacon Gochujang, a Ube Matcha Latte and a hot Black Sesame Latte. I am not a bagel fan because I feel that it has too many carbs; the idea of Bloom stuffing ingredients to a bagel to provide more protein and fat elements to balance out the carbs is great. Both bagels tasted soft and slightly spicy which I did not expect from the Garlic Asiago. I kinda wish there's a bit more protein element than just cheesiness from a nutritional standpoint of a balanced meal, and it would also provide a more interesting texture in each bite. I dreamed of putting a sunny side up egg with burned edges on top so the yolks will soak up the bagel when I cut it up.... The drinks seem pricey for that size. We also don't have any options on ice or sweetness level. I was able to choose ice or hot for my black sesame latte and we could choose milk or oat milk. But the drinks are loaded. We couldn't taste any ube flavor in the Ube Matcha latte, but the matcha flavor is rich and strong. I could feel the depth of the ingredients saturating the whole drink. My black sesame latte is also rich in flavor and visibly loaded with dark sesame. So far this is probably the richest dark sesame latte I've ever had; I like it.

AMAZING! Didn't know a bagel can be this good. I got influenced on TikTok and decided to check it out myself. It's located in a small strip mall off of Campbell Ave. When I pulled up at 8:10 a.m. there was a line already. It smelled so good once I got in. They were busy but organized and fast! My bagels were nice and warm. The corn was delicious. And the cheese pull. Wow! Love the presentation of these bagels and it's easy to eat when they're cut into quarters. Plus the store name is perfect. Each bite was flavorful and the fresh bagels...just yummy!! I love banana lattes so I had to try theirs. It was just okay for me and in a smaller cup, compared to other coffee joints I go to. I also like their live inventory. I think they should incorporate this in other businesses. Saves a lot of trips! Don't forget to get the wet wipes. You will definitely need it!

First time trying this place and I was so nervous at first. I went with the safe choice and got garlic Asiago. It was really delicious and savory. I loved the portions of bread to filling it's a even and perfect 10/10. Service was really fast even with a long line. I was overwhelmed with the amount of people but we were in and out. Would come here again next visit.

Finally got to try Bloom Bagels and omg it did not disappoint. The bagels are so big and flavorful. Definitely recommend the scallion chili oil bagel which is just a little bit spicy (not too bad) but super flavorful and delicious!

Bloom Bagels is the kind of neighborhood spot that instantly earns a spot in your regular breakfast rotation. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of freshly baked bagels and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The bagels have that ideal texture--slightly crisp on the outside with a soft, chewy interior. Fresh, flavorful, and sturdy enough to hold generous fillings without falling apart. Every ingredient tasted high quality, from the creamy spreads to the fresh vegetables and perfectly prepared proteins. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Nothing felt rushed or overcomplicated; it was simply a well-made bagel crafted with care. Pair it with a cup of matcha, and it's an easy way to start the day. The staff was friendly, efficient, and patient, even during the morning rush. This resturant deserves the hype on social media. Despite a steady stream of customers, orders came out quickly, and the dining area was clean and inviting.

I have to admit, this drive for me is a solid 45 minutes give or take. I was committed to trying this place out! I first seen them on my Instagram and immediately followed to keep updated on their schedule and how much they have for the day. I've been here 3 times so far and I've gotten the iconic Garlic Asiago Bloom, Cali roll Bloom and chili oil scallion bloom. ALL 10/10 TRULY! If this place wasn't so far I fear I'd be here OFTEN! Please please open up closer between Hayward / Fremont area we need you over here! 10's all around aside from the drive I have :( The line fills up quickly so get there early, check online for their inventory or stop by anyways for a drink before closing. They also delivery but once again I think I'm too far away :(

Came for their bagels. It's pick up place as there is not much room for tables. There was already a long line out the door. Their bagels are filled with cream cheese and soft and buttery. So good. I got several different ones. My fav is the garlic cheese and ube. Wanted to try their tea. Took one star off because I ordered the Hochija pistachio latte but got a matcha pistachio latte. I should have checked what they entered in the machine before paying. But that's why it's would be good for them to repeat the order. The matcha was ok...

Love the Asian inspired flavor profiles here at Bloom Bagels! Check the website to see if online ordering is open. Otherwise, the line moves pretty quickly and they are very efficient, so don't let the line out the door scare you! It's a small shop so once you get in, you're almost at the counter to order. Banana Latte - loved the cream top on this one! Definitely a successful banana drink Corn Cheese bagel - would've liked a little less on the mayo and more focus on corn and cheese but otherwise it's a tasty bite Chili Oil Scallion bagel - this was my favorite! The kick from the chili oil really balances out the thick cream cheese. Ube Almond - if you're a fan of that almond flavor this one is for you! I'm not too big on it so I wasn't as much of a fan but would love if they did other ube combinations in the future! So happy to finally try them out after seeing them on IG for so long. Can't wait to try out more bagels and drinks!

Ask the Community - Bloom Bagels

When is the best time to come when it won't be as busy or is it just always busy at every time of the day?

    8 am when they open

How come the bagels are all showing out of stock when trying to order on line/ website?

Our bagels take 24 hrs to make from beginning to end, so once we sell out of a flavor for the day, we mark the item out of stock. We understand the frustration when this happens. Of course we try to make as many as possible, but unfortunately it is…

Do your bagels have egg in the dough or egg wash on them?

We do not use egg inside our bagel dough. However, some of the cream cheese or dips for the flavors might have egg. We will list which flavors have eggs in our menu. You are also welcome to ask staff to double check before ordering.

Are they still busy during the weekends? Like line outside type of deal?

No line last weekend when I went. They also have mobile order which is helpful

A simple sandwich order at 9:20 is not ready until 9:45. Lesson learned, come at opening time and order all at once. Cortado & latte, 5/5. Hot, smooth, strong. Orchid acai bowl ($14, sub in mango for mulberry, add coconut dust): 5/5. so good. Palmetto superfoods is my go-to in the SJ area for acai bowls, this was better despite not as many topping options. Their bases are smoother and creamier, no ice crystals here. Also liked that the fruit was chopped smaller. BAE sandwich ($12): 4/5. good, but definitely not worth a 25 min wait. Textures, freshness were great, but it was missing salt/pepper & spices. The sauce helped, but still underwhelming given how good it looks. Recommend having salt & pepper packets & a bottle of hot sauce available to customers. Cinnamon roll ($5.75): as a cinnamon roll, 3/5. As a morning bun type thing, 4.5/5. This is a case of mistaken identity. It's got a slight crunch, light sweetness, fluffy (not dense). When I order a cinnamon roll, I'm more expecting decadent dessert-for-breakfast laden with sugar & butter, yknow? Loved their dining area, loved how beautifully presented all items were, loved how everything was served at optimal temperature (hot espresso, thoroughly warmed pastry, etc), loved the variety of menu items (I can get an acai bowl and bf can get a sandwich or pastry). We're talking ube coffee, avocado coffee, banana condensed milk coffee, plus a whole lineup of matcha drinks. Definitely more creative than your typical neighborhood coffee shop! I went with the ube coffee with almond milk. The ube base was a little too sweet for my taste, but once everything was mixed together, the overall sweetness actually balanced out pretty nicely. The espresso also packs a punch -- you get 2 shots with your coffee order, so no complaints there. ‍ The ambience is definitely a highlight. The space is super cute and spacious, and they even have this mini staircase seating area that would be perfect for hanging out with friends. It also has plenty of room for a work-from-café situation The only downside was the service, which felt a bit slow for my liking. That said, they did give customers a heads-up that half of their espresso machine was under maintenance, so I'll give them some grace on that one! Overall: 3.5/5 Giving them an extra +0.5 just for the ambience because the space is genuinely adorable. I'd definitely come back to try their pastries and açaí bowl next time!

Then as she was making the drink, she had mine sitting at the counter for a good few minutes without calling my name because she was busy chatting it up with a customer, handing him a note, talking about travel plans, etc. When I asked where my drink was and that I had been waiting for a while the other barista proceeded to say that they've just been busy. No, barista making my drink was just not serving each customer kindly and equally. I will say that walking in the space is elegant is the word I would like to use but also inviting with the little extras that they do at the table with the fresh flowers the soft chairs the colorful decor that surrounds it. Also the two individuals behind the counter that were taking orders and packaging things were just a delight. Both of them greeted us with a smile and they asked us if it was our first time to the shop and we told them yes and so they walked us through some of the more popular items and how are things were broken down and that was very much appreciated cuz there are many many options in front of you in unless you know exactly what you want you can be looking at everything for a couple of minutes before you decide on even one thing. We ended up getting a regular latte and a rose latte for our drinks. And then as a little delicious taste of something we got the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. I am going to comment on my rose latte first that thing was beautifully made because though it was sweet but in a way that wasn't overpowering because you could still taste a little bit of the caffeine the creaminess of the milk that was used and the espresso it was like a hint in the background so a little call out there if you're someone that really wants to taste their coffee this wasn't the jam for you and that's okay my husband got the regular latte with steamed milk and I tasted his and that was like coffee in your face so you can always go for a solid twist like that. And to clarify his latte was also very good because it just tasted so fresh and of high quality. Now for the pastries. They were stupendous because they had the right amount of flakiness but softness. They also were buttery but not overly so were like major hands feel greasy it was so savory both of them which is interesting because the fillings one was chocolate one was almond I would have thought that both of them would have had an overpowering sweetness to them. We will say that we both liked the almond croissant more not that the chocolate one wasn't just as good. The almond had a little bit of a 1up because I don't know how to explain it it's almost like it had a almond crumble at the top so you bit into the pastry which was fluffy but you had the crunch on the top then you had a little bit of the almond filling and then you had the butter and like the soft but almost chewiness of the inside of the layers just stupendous all of that together was great. If we end up ever being in that area again will definitely want to go back to try the rest of the stuff they had because I want to know how everything else takes especially those beautiful cakes that were just art themselves

There aren't many locations in my area, so while I was in Campbell, I decided to stop by and I'm so glad I did! The place is a little chatty, but that doesn't bother me one bit. It's big, colorful, and has plenty of seating whether you're coming solo, on a date, or with a group. Vince was amazing! His kindness and knowledge alone would have me coming back. He even walked my veggie bites right over to me. Donovan asked if I needed adjustments and made sure my drink was to my liking. Wonderful customer service all the way around! Needless to say, I found my new favorite coffee spot!

Let me start by saying that Philz is one of my favorite coffee shops. I used to get it almost every…read moreday before work, but unfortunately, this location has gone from being great 1-2 years ago, to inconsistent, to now being consistently bad. I am genuinely disappointed by my coffee almost every time I visit. If it's really bad to the point that I can't drink it, I'll ask for a remake, but a lot of the time I don't have the extra time to wait for them to make another one. It's incredibly frustrating because I can go to the Los Gatos, Willow Glen, or Castro Valley locations and consistently get a great coffee. It doesn't seem to matter what I order or whether it's something from the regular menu or a seasonal drink, the quality at this location just isn't there. What makes it even more frustrating is that this is the Philz location closest to my house, so I genuinely want to be able to enjoy it. I don't know if it's an issue with training, consistency, or something else, but I really hope management looks into it because something clearly isn't working. I was actually talking to a friend who used to love Philz as much as I do, and she said she doesn't enjoy it anymore either. Then we realized that whenever she gets Philz in the East Bay, it's noticeably better. I really hope this location can get back to the quality Philz is known for because I would love nothing more than to be able to regularly get good coffee from the location right by my house. I'm honestly sorry to have to leave such a negative review because I really do love Philz, but at this point, someone needs to say something. Then today was really the final straw. The coffee was so bad that neither of us could drink it, so I called the store and asked for a refund. I had just spent $15 on two cups of coffee that we were ultimately going to throw away, so I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask for a refund. Instead, I was only refunded for one of the two coffees and when I called back nobody answered.

The ambiance here was inviting and there are lots of tables and chairs where one can sit. Luckily we were able to snag a table. For food we got a latte which was very nice. We also got the ham and cheese croissant which was absolutely delicious and the guava cream cheese pastry. I got both warmed and loved it. We also got a honey butter cornbread thing with their homemade strawberry jam. This was a cool savory sweet option. Although I didn't love it, it was nice to try. Overall good experience and would go back to try other pastries!

The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.
