I came to Bond 45 on a Friday night around 9 pm, and it was not that busy. After hearing about the place online, I thought it would be a great date night restaurant. However, it was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had. Food: I ordered the garlic bread as an appetizer along with the New York Strip Steak and Filet Mignon at medium and medium rare, respectively. The garlic bread came out hot and was really good. It was honestly the only good thing about the restaurant. The steaks were super chewy and hard. The quality of the steaks did not match the price point, and honestly, it felt like Texas Roadhouse quality. It was very disappointing. Service: The service was also not that great. Our server barely came to our table and attended to other tables more despite it not being that busy at all. You can see how empty the restaurant was on a Friday night in the pictures lol. The server kept forgetting our items, such as drinks and food. A table of four came in after us and got their meals and checks before we did, which was not a big deal, but it just felt like he was avoiding us on purpose. We also forgot our card at the restaurant and called the next day trying to describe the characteristics of the card only to be condescendingly talked to by the worker over the phone. She was unwilling to work with us to identify our card and angrily told us to talk to the manager in person, instead. Overall: Get food somewhere else! Very conveniently located across from the Hamilton theater, this Italian restaurant was reserved a month in advance to ensure we would have a table. Proximity to theater, one star. The tables upstairs are very close together. As a party of 6 we expected to be a little tight, but we were very close to the 2 parties of 4 and 3 parties of 2 that surrounded our table. We got our menus and waters. The waiter was a bit of an ass, but apparently that is to be expected in this establishment, like it's well known by NYC'ers. Our busser, however, was fantastic. He is literally a star on his own, otherwise this would be a 2 star review. I ordered soup and bread. Husband ordered chicken parm. Soup was not bad. Bread was not bad. Chicken parm was like a chicken parm pizza, and was very filling. Husband had two whiskey drinks he enjoyed, so one star. Toward the end of the meal I needed to use the restroom, which is downstairS. Downstairs is a completely different vibe. People were spread out, laughing, talking, enjoying each other's company, unlike upstairs were everyone was sitting on top of each other. Its a convenient spot for inbetween shows. However, it is overpriced for the quality. On top of that, we were charged $11 unknowingly after we asked for regular water for the table. It is nice and the food was decent, but again overpriced for the quality but its in the middle of Times Square so makes sense. Was really mostly just intrigued by the show inspired drinks, but even those were a bit weak for the price. For a better bang for your buck, id look elsewhere. read more

This was a fiasco from the get-go, unacceptable and incompetent in every aspect. I was staying at the hotel that the restaurant is in. The hotel gives you free grab and go breakfast at the bond restaurant or you can pay $6.50 to eat off the menu at the Bond Restaurant. One morning I decided to eat at the restaurant and my sister grabbed the grab and go breakfast. She sat with me at the restaurant so I wouldn't be alone. The manager stared at us and then came to our table and said my sister can't sit with me. I told her I'm vegan and I didn't want to eat by myself and they couldn't accommodate me at the grab and go breakfast. She didn't care. Then I asked for my food to go in different containers and they put it in the same. It was difficult to get ketchup, jelly and plastic fork. It was an awful experience and that manager of the bond should be fired or trained how to provide customer service. I still can't believe how rude she was to us. read more

Came by this week for dinner on the early side with some friends. The service was superrrr beyond fast once we ordered. We got some apps, entrees, and desserts. I am all for a NY minute ( being an NY'er), but it was immediate- the food must have been prepared beforehand. They must have wanted the table ASAP as it was getting busier, is my only guess. The waiter was friendly and helpful- but as many places I dine in NYC- I've never seen it hit the table this quickly. The meatballs in my pasta dish were not hot, but the pasta was. My mom got a lasagna which came out warm/cold. One of the restaurant managers (I'm assuming) noticed her from a table or two over and came over immediately to ask what was wrong. They took away the food and got her a hot one immediately. We chose to go here because it's right by my job at the Lunt Fontanne and we were having a Broadway weekend. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente- which I love- and the sauce was super creamy but not too heavy! If not for the waiter, this would have been a 5 star review. The atmosphere was a feast for the eyes and I loved the display of food dishes. The Chicken Parmesan was the best I've ever had. It was massive and very expensive ($50). We arrived about 90 min prior to seeing a show across the street. 15 min passed and the assistant had filled my water 3 times before I ever saw the waiter. I ordered the chicken and let him know that we had a show at 7. To which he replies "the kitchen is backed up 20 min." I said "ok" because that still left us about 30 min and time to get to the show. He never asked if we wanted anything else to drink or a salad or bread and showed no interest in our table...the manager brought out our meal. The assistant brought us a to-go container and continued to keep our water filled. The next time I saw the waiter was to ask if we wanted dessert and I got the check. Our waiter did almost nothing and he got 10% tip because that is my personal minimum. Then I told the manager the other 10% (which I handed to the manager) should go to the assistant not to be split. read more

Really bad. We had reservations after the Christmas Spectacular and we're seated right away at a great table tucked away downstairs. The waiter promptly came and took drink our orders. He then informed us they were out of Cabernet Sauvignon. Unfortunately, they only offer one type of Cab by the glass. There was no offer to buy a bottle or for them to crack open one of their bottles and pour that by the glass. We ordered the 12" mozzarella stick, and we're told that they were out of that as well, but after checking the kitchen, they could do it! Everyone ordered and we were then told there was no more bolognese. The waiter then came out to let us know they were also out of the garlic loaf and all of the breads. The caesar salads came out and were pretty good. The mozzarella stick was good but lukewarm. The red sauce was tasteless. The drinks were also pretty good. We waited an hour after the appetizers. The waiter came out and apologized for the delay and informed us he had told his manager. We waited an additional 20 minutes while watching everyone around us be served. All tables that were sat long after us. The manager then came to speak to us and told us he was sorry, they were short staffed. We told him we had small children and would wait an additional five minutes but that was it. He asked us to "please don't leave", he would try to have it done in five minutes. We agreed. Seconds later he informed us they were out of the chicken parm, which two of us had ordered. We immediately put our coats on and left. They clearly hadn't even started cooking our order. Definitely not a fan. They describe themselves as Broadway's best restaurant. We were seated at a way too small table, but were reseated to a double table that was more than sufficient. The 12 inch mozzarella stick was good. Bread app was fine. I didn't care for my carbonara. The bacon was crazy salty. We skipped dessert.
