Walking into this little gem feels like stepping into a charming Parisian patisserie without ever leaving New York. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and every visit reminds me why I call NYC my second home. We arrived at 6:55 p.m., convinced they'd be sold out. To my surprise, they still had exactly what I came for! I happily walked out with three Tarte au citron and a pistachio macaron just minutes before they locked the doors. I've only ever ordered the tarts because they're that good, so I can't compare them to the rest of the menu--but honestly, I don't need to. They are absolutely worth planning your day around. Our third day, I went to get bagels at this Broad Nosh. The consistency between the 8th and 9th Avenue locations is on point. Their bagels are fire. Their cream cheese shmears are succinct and satisfying. I was smart this time and ordered ahead online, especially since I was bringing back bagels to our hotel room. This location is a narrower space than the one on 9th Avenue, so there is less tables to sit if you are eating in. The queue practically runs in a backwards "u" shape so if you are going at any point during the various morning rushes, even if you intend to sit, I would recommend just grabbing and going because the amount of people standing line fills up the room fast. Yes, there are a couple of tables I believe in the back, but just do an order to go. If you do walk in to order, you wait for your food at the front to the left as you come on after paying. If you order and pay online, there is a sign from the ceiling in the back as you enter that says "Online Order Pick Up". So long as you give them enough time as it states on the order to prepare, you can walk past the queue to a level of shelving by where you would normally give your order to state the name on it. And they should have it ready. I preferred this from just walking in and giving it since I did go during a particular rush hour and would have waited longer. Their iced coffee was refreshing. Their egg everything bagel with scallion lox shmear was incredible. I got two breakfasts out of that because I also orders a salmon and egg breakfast sandwich with bacon and scallion cream cheese on a toasted Asiago cheese bagel scooped. You really can't go wrong with Broad Nosh in New York for bagels. They are the bee's knees. And the staff are like a machine that follow a really efficient system of order taking and preparing.
