They charge more than other Ford Dealership service department in the area. Reduce the price on a wheel hub assembly when ask what am I missing because you charge way more than other auto repair shop then price was reduced by $220. When you ask why they charge 5 hours of labor to replace an output speed sensor when 3 other Ford dealerships charge 3.5 they double talk about how much work it takes and that they include an hour of diagnostics in labor. The last straw was picking up the car with damage and them lying that it came in that way. We didn't notice it because the car was dirty and they gave it a car wash. They talk to woman condescending and as thought they are stupid and can't see the lies. Will never take a car to them again! read more

We try and look at the positives of situations, but we feel that our voices need to be heard so that changes can potentially be made. First of all, thank you, Chester, for taking care of us. Other than that, we had a sub-par car-buying experience with Bredeman Ford. For starters, we were told that all vehicles are thoroughly looked over before they are put on the lot. Our vehicle must have been the exception. The interior was very dirty with stains strewn across the ceiling and dog hair throughout the vehicle. To top it off, the moon roof did not work which led to us spending the majority of the day at the dealership and not being able to leave with the vehicle we purchased. Overall, Chester worked hard and did what he could to clean the car up and have it delivered to us, thanks again! read more

Great service. Mike Reyes was beyond helpful. I greatly appreciate the depth in which he took to explain in detail, what was going on with my brakes. He had greeted me upon arrival and was very friendly. He took in my Ford Explorer for a recall and I asked for an oil change. This location has always been helpful and even though they are busy they make sure they say hello. The employees work together to take care of customers right away. They gave me a rental car just so I was not inconvenienced. When I came back to get my car they even washed my car. Would highly recommend this place. I stopped by yesterday to look at a Ford Edge. I have purchased from this dealership before as well as the Bredemann Toyota dealership in Park Ridge. I even told the sales person that I had purchased with them in the past. This time was just a so-so experience. Seems like they have new sales guys with lack of ambition. One guy said he just started. Also, very limited selection of vehicles. Not sure what's going on there, but the parking lot was pretty empty. Everyone was very pleasant and the sales process was never high pressure. We did a lot of the paperwork over email which sped up the closing process. My '04 Focus ZTS was rattling from underneath. From past experiences, I thought it might be coming from a loose heat shield on the catalytic converter. My last 3 cars have ALWAYS been serviced by Ford dealers, however, I'm new in Glenview & this was my first visit to Bredemann Ford. Asst. Service Mgr. Michael Pluta heard my concerns, inspected the car all the way around & found that it was not the heat shield. It was in fact a busted motor mount. Wife and I had been searching for a certified economy car. We went to see several at dealerships near us in Chicago. Every experience was a real disappointment. The salesmen we encountered could have been right out of a comedic parody on SNL. Super aggressive, high pressure, not able to size-up a potential customer's knowledge or savvy. All the silly rehearsed tricks you could imagine. We had just about given up when we spotted a '13 Ford Focus priced very competitively thanks to a Black Friday sale at Bredemann Ford in Glenview. Went to see the car and take it for a test drive without an appointment which was no issue whatsoever. The salesman, Paul Ipjian could not have been a nicer guy. Absolutely zero pressure experience and knowledgeable about the vehicle . Even though the Black Friday sale had expired they honored the sale price. We negotiated a deal that I feel was fair. No hidden BS of any kind. There was a bit of a sales pitch from their sales manager to purchase a premium warranty program above and beyond the Ford Certified Warranty but it was not a hard sell and everyone at Bredemann was very respectful. I have been lucky with my Taurus that I havent had to get it repaired much at all. When I did have issues with it I found out that my car was covered under a 100,000 miles extended warantee and the dealer kindly let me use a service loaner for a week while parts where ordered. I was pleseantly surprised when I got my Taurus back washed and cleaned. on another trip there to ask about a issue with my car (well after the warrantee was up) the service manager handed me a Ford OEM oil filter and told me it would take care of the issue. He didnt charge me for it and his advice was right on. The cheap aftermarket oil filter was causing a noise in my motor. It was an extra he dnidnt have to do but reaffirmed why I bought a Ford. Brought in my 3 year old Ford Expedition in because AC wasn't working. they said they didn't find a leak, recharged Freon. 7weeks later AC wasn't working again, brought car back in. Was asked rather rudely, why did you wait so long to bring it back, you should have come back a week later for us to check for a leak, I would have if I was told too, but I wasn't. After the car being there for several days, they said that the evaporator was leaking, picked up my car and paid a large bill. Less that 3 weeks later AC was not working again. this time I'm told that is the rear evaporator, an even larger bill. 3 year old car with both evaporators go bad, and what I'm I told, it isn't unheard of. I had to call when ever I wanted to know what was going on with my car, usually got the service person's voicemail, leave a message, no call back, call again, voicemail, no call back, call again, have the operator find the service person. I'm usually very loyal to the place I buy my car, but I can't see going back after this experience. read more

WARNING FRAUDULENT SERVICE DEP. - do not take your car here for service. I took my 2012 Ford Fusion which was still under warranty into Bredemann Ford due to a tire pressure sensor fault message. After the car was looked at, the service rep said bad news, the tire pressure sensor is not OEM and is not covered under Fords warranty. He said the car was in an accident and the shop who fixed it must have made the repair with a nonFord sensor. This didn't make sense so I called the body shop to investigate. They told me the damage was only to the bumper/hood area and that the tires were never removed, therefore they would not have had access to the wheel pressure sensors. I went back to the counter and read the service ticket, the mechanic wrote "tried to calibrate wheel pressure system - RIF (right front) pressure sensor failed and is inoperable. I thought something was kind of fishy. Since the car is still under warranty, you'd think the mechanic would have wrote something like "non OEM part - not covered under warranty" instead of sensor failed on the service ticket. I then challenged the service manager and their story change stating that it was a genuine Ford sensor, but not the right one. I took pictures of the old sensor including the part number. After 30 min of making a huge scene in the service department they finally agreed to replace the sensor. While they where repairing my car, I called the parts counter at Highland Park Ford and gave them my VIN and a description of the part. The part number they gave me matched the one in the pictures. In short they were trying to use the previous accident to deny a legitimate warranty claim and make their customer pay 160 bucks instead. I don't think so. Friendly, honest, ethical, great price When it came time to replace my 12 year old Lincoln, my husband and I agreed, we don't like buying a new car because we remember uncomfortable past experiences. But our experience with Bredemann Ford was so positive it was a total pleasure from the first time we walked in the door. Much of that was due to our salesman, John Messner, but everyone we dealt with and everything we saw spoke to an honest, ethical, friendly dealership. Ford's Web site, and those we talked to at the Chicago Auto Show, encouraged us to go online and choose the options I wanted, so I did. A review of local dealers' inventories showed I couldn't get what I wanted in stock. When we went to Bredemann, John offered to order it from the factory. John is very knowledgeable and he and my husband happily talked cars (I don't speak car) and agreed on what best met my needs. The price he quoted was excellent, and no one tried to sell us anything else. He even worked out delivery around my travel obligations. We got the car yesterday and he spent an hour talking us through the mechanics and technology of my new car. From start to finish, we experienced friendly, respectful, honest dealings that resulted in our feeling comfortable and trusting. John mentioned that Mr. Bredemann had been a Jesuit-trained seminarian. Since I am a graduate of Loyola University, I can testify to the emphasis Jesuits put on ethics in their education. I wish I could give the service station 10 stars, I'm so happy with my service! Was in a panic after failing an emissions test needed to renew my registration before the end of the month. I drove here without an appointment and they squeezed me in even though they were booked all day. After about an hour they fixed the problem, washed my car and sent me on my way. A negative attitude permeates the entire process. They rule the sales staff by fear. ... old school managers totally out of the game. They don't understand todays buyers, have not adapted to todays consumer or how they buy. They are clueless. The consumer knows more than they do.... were educated. Here's the formula for all successful business .. Be Nice.. understand the customer .. provide a product that meets the customers needs...collect the money. They gave me a fair trade-in value and great pricing on my new 2016 Mustang. Our goal here was to purchase a quality preowned vehicle and after deciding that we did not want the extended service package, the finance staff took measures to quickly cancel it for us. Worst dealership ever...all bad experiences: 1-I was told that I wasn't putting enough air in my tire by a service person only to find out that the tire needed replacement (I explained that it was a major issue and was put off by the service man). 2-I was told they would call me 2 days later when my tire was in--never called me, in fact I had to call them and then had to wait 3 days for an appointment. 3-When I arrived at my appointment I was "squeezed in" but still had to wait 5 hours for a tire replacement and oil change. 4-The asst service manager asked me not to return, blamed me for not providing them with information HE never asked for, and became combative with me in front of his manager as well as other customers. I would never buy or service a car from this dealership. All this after I said I would take all the blame just to diffuse his temper, clearly he has an issue with women (as noted by at least 1 other reviewer).
