I have never had cake so moist and delicate at this size. Perfect size for a dessert after dinner. Not too big or too small, just the right amount of dessert for after a meal. These are the most amazing little cakes ever!!! I was given a box of 9 bundts as a surprise gift the day before my birthday, and they didn't last the weekend. I inhaled them. I don't understand the people who say that they're too sweet, because they aren't. They have the perfect amount of delicate sweetness in the glaze, and a whole lot of flavor in the cake. I have a sweetness scale of my own. If it's too sweet, you need a gallon of coffee or milk to wash it down, but these little goodies require no such dilution. Just the right amount of decadence. A lot of bakeries sell "brown" cakes that claim to be chocolate, but have no chocolate flavor. You can really taste the hint of chocolate in BOM's red velvet bundt cakes. And the lemon bundt has a luscious sweet tangy-ness that I would expect from a lemon cake. Sweet pucker power deliciousness. I can hardly wait to try the other flavors. What's really cool is that you can pick up some great meats on Saturday from Handy's Smokehouse Meats right next door (their spicy chicken spread & smoked salmon are to die for), then pick up dessert at Bundts on Melrose, and you've got your weekend lunches and dinners and snacks taken care of in just a few minutes. I usually don't write reviews on yelp but i felt this experience deserved a review. I went into bundts on melrose today with my father around 6:30pm and was greeted by Robin. She was so sweet and very kind and patient with my eccentric father :] we had some pretty good laughs. There weren't alot of flavors left and she highly suggested we try the strawberry lemonade bundt, so we ended up trying it out and absolutely loved it along with a pineapple bundt and orange creamsicle bundt. So I decided to write a review after reading past reviews ... The bunt cakes here are absolutely delicious, my all time favorite is the "pineapple" bunt cake, but they are all delicious, just the right amount of sweetness..Sure they do sometimes run out of certain flavors but to the lady whose upset cause she drives so far and gets upset cause certain flavors are unavailable ~ call prior to getting in your car and ask what flavors they have. As for "the rude lady" that works there which would be Ms Robin, she's ALWAYS a delight when I come in, she's helpful, pleasant and very accommodating .. I think the other reviewers were just mad at her when they don't have the flavors they want and take it out on her (Ms Robin) .. Do yourself a favor and stop in Bunts on Melrose ...
