This is a popular restaurant so I can run out with a couple locations. People seem to like it. I have a problem with the whole barcode menu and ordering from your phone and the people that drop off the food still wants a minimum of 18% tip not much service just somebody bringing plates from the kitchen. I've been at the restaurant industry, roughly 3540 years and I'm against the whole principle of paying separately for service. I really feel it's the responsibility of the owner to pay all of their staff adequately. We shouldn't have to pay on top of our price for food I'm tired of hearing the excuse of they don't make enough money to live on. They need tips. When our grown kids come to town, this is also their choice. We all go for the oat milk version and are happy that they offer up many types of milks to choose from. They did have plant walls in the back patio which we took photos with. The food was very mediocre. I paid $35 for a chai latte and a breakfast burrito. My friend booked a private room upstairs for our group of 12 of us. The chai tea latte was huge like a soup bowl and its house made and was pretty good. The breakfast burrito had eggs, black beans, and cheese inside and I didn't think was worth $25. There was no seasoning. It came with a side of potatoes which were not flavorful. I could have made it at home. My friend got the French toast and she barely ate it because it was too sweet and was not good. The drinks took forever even though they knew we were a big party and it had been booked in advance. The food probably took an hour or more to get. Service was excellent, although the staff messed up on one of the orders so the wait was a little longer than normal but not too bad. I ordered the thai noodle salad which I liked and I got to try my friend's drinks. The hot todi was pretty good, though a little strong and the irish coffee was very strong. I visited Cafe Bernardo on a busy Saturday for the first time ever. The ambience is really fun. It's divided into two sections. One that is four casual dining where you order your food for takeout. The other side is full service. There's a room where you can play pool in the back and it looks like a lot of fun. The outdoor patio is super cute with tons of plants everywhere. I love the Moody ambience. The service was great. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. They had really good slushes that night.
