Because of our party size (6), brunch here was a 45 minute wait. They texted us when our table for 6 was available. We all were good and hungry by then. The food was delicious and the service was fast. Nothing extraordinary about the space. Simple and clean. That's top tier for me.

The service was great. I do wish they used slab bacon on the po boy. It needs something meatier. They could also add more pickles and aioli. I would come back and try something else.

I stopped by Cafe Fleur De Lis on my last morning in NOLA. I'm really glad I did! There is a large bar with open seating so it's perfect if you don't have a reservation. I had a cappuccino and a crab cake eggs Benedict with grits. The crab cakes were flaky and crispy. The eggs were poached to perfection. The bar tender was cordial and chatting with guests while he made drinks and coffees. As a bonus, for anyone with an interest in Roman Catholic history, the building is the first residence of the Ursuline nuns when they immigrated from France in 1727

Ate breakfast with couple friends and the service we received was outstanding. I ordered the seafood Benedict and it's the only reason for the 4 stars. The seafood part of it just didn't taste the freshest but everything else was great. Egg was poached perfectly and cheese grits were great. I think if I'd have ordered something else on the menu it would be 5 stars. Bloody Mary I got was also great along with the pickled okra and green beans that come with it.

We tried to walk-in to a couple of breakfast restaurants and we needed reservations for both. We kept walking and found this great place. The wait was only 20ish minutes. Once we were sat, our waitress was attentive and very friendly. She took our drink order quickly and kept refilling coffee. We both ordered seafood benedicts with a side of bacon. The bennys were absolutely delicious. The side of bacon was insane!! so much bacon! Definitely try this breakfast place in the FQ!

On the Friday before Mardi Gras, my lifelong friend and I have a tradition of going to breakfast before all of the shenanigans and walking parades kick off in the FQ. Our goal every year is to find somewhere new, and Cafe FDL definitely fit the bill this year. There is quaint seating on the first and second floor, and it feels like there's not going to be enough room, but the wait isn't bad. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was hot and filling. The alcohol was... alcohol. What's there to say about that? Price wise, it was reasonable, and it was filling enough that I wasn't hungry when I left, nor was I ill-prepared for any shenanigans that the say might bring. Definitely a solid choice for breakfast in the Quarter. Not fancy, but filling!

Checked this place out for breakfast bright and early at 7am! Good option for the early morning. Service was quick and helpful. The inside gave a cozy diner feel to me. Lots of breakfast items looked tasty with a southern twist. I tried the eggs Benedict with hash browns and got a hot latte. The latte was super smooth and delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly and the hash browns were nice and crispy. The grits were really creamy and yummy too, just too heavy for me to finish it all. Solid breakfast options for early birds!

Kinda touristy, but still solid. Clean and great service right in the French Quarter. I had the sampler meal, which hit the spot and was certainly mild (but great flavor!). It's a good spot to show someone the most basic of cajun/southern cuisine.

The Bourbon Street Breakfast Platter comes with a shot of jack daniels. Super sweet. I wasn't a fan, but my husband loved it

This spot was sooooo goood!!! Specially the grits, BEST grits of my life. It was sooooo good I went back a second time. I never eat at the same place twice on vacation unless I love it. We don't make reservations but they out our name down and sent us a text when our seats were ready. You have to check in within 5 mins of receiving the text message. We sat on the balcony with a nice little view of French Quarters. Our waitress was kind and helpful when it came to deciding what I wanted. I ordered: The Fleur de Lis omelette 5/5 Side of grits 10/5 Iced coffee 1/5 My husband ordered the Bourbon Street Breakfast Platter comes with a shot of jack daniels. Super sweet. I wasn't a fan, but my husband loved it. It was pecan and bananas pancakes. On our last morning we went back and each ordered the grits. We got a lot more to go for a side order. Came in a nice to go container. Overall, I'd be back! Until next time.

We had a great experience here! The space is bright and inviting. Server was warm and friendly. Food was . A great spot in the quarter! Order was Creole Country with a side of hash browns. It was fresh, delicious, and satisfying.

    Fried grit cake! Incredibly delicious
    Molly T.

After all the alcohol yesterday, I needed something good! Never had a fried grit cake before so I ordered that and the avocado bowl! Holy hell! Couldn't finish either but the grit cake is so freaking good! Get it for the table! Your taste buds will thank you! The bowl of salad is a good start to the day because I know I'm going to eat bad later! Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food!!!!

Oh man, this was the highlight of my visit. It was amazing. Best grits I ever had, catfish perfectly cooked. Very clean, nice lighting and great customer service. It was a vibe but the food was the star of the show for sure.

Is this restaurant able to seat large parties. Say around 20 people?

I would think if you contact them in advance, it might be possible, they have an upstairs area, but that might completely fill the upstairs, so I dont know if it would be beneficial.

    Do they take reservations?

    No they don't.

    Does this business take reservations?

    No they don't

    Do they have WiFi?

    Yes.

    Gluten free beignets? Anyone? Anywhere?

This would not be possible. You could deep fry some gluten free pastry or other but it would not be a beignets if it lack gluten. Gluten is the core of what makes a beignet a beignet.

The ambiance is lovely, and sitting out on their patio made for the perfect, relaxed New Orleans evening. The highlight of our round of drinks was definitely the Righteous Harlot cocktail. It comes in a beautiful flute and is a stunning bright pink color, mixed with vodka, dragon fruit cordial, St. Germain, and sparkling wine. It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. We ordered a few different small plates to share around the table. The Scotch Egg was spectacular--perfectly crispy and savory on the outside with a gorgeous, rich jammy yolk inside, served right alongside house-made piccalilli relish. We also tried the Zucchini and Horseradish plate, which was incredibly unique and flavorful. It features a perfectly charred zucchini base loaded with a zesty horseradish cream and topped with beautifully shingles of crisp, fresh zucchini slices. While I didn't get a chance to snap photos of everything else we ate, every single bite was inventive, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and the bartenders really know their craft. We highly recommend dropping in for a sophisticated drink and a few excellent bites!

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Oysters came out super warm on a thin bed of rock salt. Unfortunately we sent them back and we neeeeever send back a plate. Next round came out and tbh they were just off. Not properly cleaned, shells in the bed, warm, grainy, shells were dirty. No cocktail sauce either. Disappointed :/ Got the seafood nachos. Those weren't too bad. Fish was pretty mild in flavor. The balance was off tho. Too much cheese drowning everything. Chips were crazy salty. Not an even coating on the plate. But overall it worked out. Just needs balance! Sandwich was good for my partner. Bread was a little dry but it was fine. Arugula was dressed nicely. Server Rocky was great. She handled our oyster send back well. Accidentally dropped off the wrong check to us but fixed it quick. She was also the only one working the floor. Taking orders, running food and drinks, bussing. She had a lot to do and did her best to balance it all.
