No digital waitlist so they won't text you when your table is ready, so instead you just wait outside in the 50 degree weather and hope they come out to call your name. They said 20 mins wait, we went back in 30 mins later and they're saying probably another 30 minutes. Very unprofessional, least you can do is call or text for waitlist and not have customers wait outside in the cold for an hour. Definitely not worth coming to this unorganized and mismanaged location. read more

I have been to CPK's in both LA and OC and noticed the slight difference in the taste of each location. Makes me wonder why some CPK's are better tasting than others when they all use the SAME EXACT recipe!! You would expect consistency in a chain restaurant. This CPK is located on the first floor in the Westin and it's the biggest one I've been to. The dining area is large and there's a nice bar area when you enter the restaurant. The wait staff is highly professional and it's the best service I have ever got at a CPK. No amateur wait staff here!! I love the lighting and the booth/tables at this location. On to the food. Three of us ordered the Chicken BBQ Pizza, Mediterranean appetizer plate and the Chinese Chicken Salad. 1. CPK now has a new SMALLER PORTION menu all under $6. The Mediterranean appetizer plate came with 4 pita breads, hummus and cucumber/red onion. * The hummus really wasn't anything special and tasted quite bland. After spread the hummus on the pita and eating one, I had enough of it. 2. BBQ Chicken Pizza had very dried chicken and the cheese looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. It looked like we got a previous canceled pizza order that had been sitting around for a while. Not fresh and not impressed. 3. The only thing I enjoyed was the Chinese chicken salad. Hard to go wrong with salad when all you do is toss the lettuce, chicken and some vegetables with their special dressing. Overall, my favorite CPK is in Burbank across the street from Ikea. The Service: Our server, Brooke, is super sweet and friendly. Very attentive service. Food is served within a few minutes. Kitchen staffs are working very efficiently. The Food: Moroccan-Spiced Chicken - with roasted butternut squash, dates, avocado, toasted almonds, beets, red peppers, chopped egg and cranberries. Tossed with housemade Champagne vinaigrette. (dressing is light, salad is not soaking wet. Good! So many ingredients in this salad~) Spicy Fennel Sausage and Poblano - sausage, fresh Mozzarella, fire-roasted chilies and wild Greek oregano with spicy marinara. Spicy Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla ($6ish): Small plate item. 4 one fourth pieces of quesadilla with a chipotle sauce on the side. If this was an entree item, I would get it! Perfect amount of cheese, beans, chicken and all that mixture in between two tortillas. Carnitas Habanero Pizza ($13.95): The thought process here was, it sounds interesting and unique = order it. Glad we gave it a shot. Luckily the habanero sauce is also ON THE SIDE or I wouldn't have touched even a slice! The sauce was a light pink color, somewhat 'mushy' and had a kick halfway through. If you don't like spice, stay far far away. The pizza was different in a good way. Pesto sauce with shredded carnitas. The pizza was small for a full. Full BBQ Chicken Salad ($14.95): I'm really not sure why a salad costs more than the pizzas on the menu... The portion was decently sized but not big enough to justify a $15 salad!! Your standard bbq chicken salad but with parsley I believe. The parsley threw it off a little. I would have preferred the salad without it. Prices are too steep for what you get but it's nice to come back once in a while. I can't believe this is my first visit to this CPK. We went on Friday 01/18/19 with a party of four. The space is nice, but hectic. I definitely feel that there could be a better use of space. The check-in area felt very hectic and not enough room for people to gather, with the constant flow of servers and hosts moving about, delivery people coming in and out, etc. However, the wait was only about 20 minutes, which was pretty good for a Friday night. With that said, the rest of the visit was lovely. Two of us at the table, including myself, shared a Full BBQ Chicken Salad. The salad was so large and so delicious. Truly a gem. We also shared a Chipotle Chicken Pizza, which again was cooked perfectly, with generous toppings, and a nice spicy flavor to it. I was very impressed with the food. The prices were on-par with the large portions received. I would definitely return again to this CPK. read more

Great outdoor place to come for lunch! We Had the avocado egg rolls and split a BBQ chicken chopped salad and it was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. I'd argue the speed at which the food came out as well as the quality of the staff at this specific location is far superior than any other CPK I've been to. The service was so great, our waiter was so polite and quick with everything. He even changed the propane tank in the outdoor heater for us as we were feeling cold and the previous tank was empty. After a very negative experience at a nearby restaurant called Great Maple which for some reason is higher rated, we dined here for dinner and had a great experience. We were seated probably with our dogs outside. Jose took our order immediately. He suggested the spinach and artichoke dip as well as the Mexican corn as appetizers. My wife had the half Waldorf salad which came about 5 minutes late but the manager was gracious enough to subtract it from the bill. I had the roasted vegetable salad which was delicious. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu which he really liked and was happy with its large portions. Overall a very positive experience. Not sure why this place only has three and a half Stars. Probably related to the fact that it is a big chain, but if you look at things objectively it is an excellent alternative to the "fancier" places nearby. Especially Great Maple. read more

The amount of Gawking that was happening at this location was completely unprofessional & allowed me to view how this place is ran. no wonder there was only one women worker in the place. it was so bad from multiple of the staff members that my girlfriend started having an anxiety attack and it made me extremely upset. Took majority of our meal togo and called it a day after 15 minutes Just wanted to eat & couldn't even do that . As stated i am a server, i understand the backend talk or comments on customers but do yourself a favor and make sure you guys arent making it obvious or uncomfortable. can only imagine how a table of women would feel here. horrible . This CPK is THE BEST CPK of all the CPKs in all the world. The location is beautiful and the service is beyond expectations. Had my birthday there and it was the perfect night with fantastic food. Came back for lunch a week or so later and had Jazzlyn (hope I spelled that right!!!) as my waitress. She went above and beyond to make a simple lunch visit spectacular and her customer service was stunning. This location is perfect, especially because of everyone that works there! P.S. I decided to share an appetizer and a pizza with my friend and we ended up ordering a Chipotle Chicken Pizza along with their Macaroni and Cheese starters. Also, like any Italian restaurant, they always serve you bread and olive oil as an starter. Chipotle Chicken Pizza really reminded us of well... Chipotle! except in pizza form. I enjoyed every slice of it, from the chicken to the onions to their sauce. I'd definitely be coming back here for some more of this. On the other hand, their mac 'n cheese was not up to my par. I love CPK. I have yet to go to this location and I must say that I like it. There is a full bar, a few TVs and plenty of seating. We ended up sitting near the window which was nice. I ended up getting their Tortilla Soup, which you can't go wrong. In addition, I had something new: Tortilla Spring Rolls, the Thai chicken and the Mediterranean Veggie. I loved them both. I liked that they weren't fried. My favorite was the Thai chicken that had the peanut dipping sauce. I highly suggest this. I definitely want to go back and try the Korean BBQ pizza! Looks delish! My friends and I wanted to get food quickly during a lunch break and so the on-site order and seat yourself system was pretty convenient. Service was good but for some reason this CPK didn't provide a bread basket until we asked for it. The Shaved Mushroom Spinach Flatbread was delicious as usual. I loved the crispiness of the bread and the flavors of the cheese, mushroom, and spinach together. However, the spinach could be a little more well-cooked as it was a bit soggy on the bread. I always do ask for them to put less salt because I noticed that they tend to put a lot of salt on this dish. The wild Mushroom pizza is my go to pizza when I go to CPK now. I love mushrooms and this pizza tastes the best. As for the salad, it was good. (Sorry I can't remember the name of the salad) I originally was going to give 4 stars but I decided to give 3 stars instead was because of the service. I thought service was decent but needs improvement. My aunt had finished her Arnold palmer and left it right at the edge of the table for to server to see. The server came back and asked if we needed anything else. We were eating and just said no because my aunt and I were talking. The server didn't offer or refill her drink, not once. Luckily they have really good free bread here and I filled up on half a baguette, because the food was otherwise subpar. I usually get the California Veggie pizza with no cheese. In the past, I've been told many times that this was vegan. Only recently, I saw an old Yelp review that said that the pizza crust at California Pizza Kitchen has eggs. Unfortunately, it's true. I confirmed it with the waitress. Seriously disappointed that I've been eating eggs this whole time, and none of the employees here were knowledgeable enough to tell me. What if this was a serious allergy? They really need to know their ingredients better. I had to settle for the Dakota Smashed Pea + Barley soup and Super Spinach + Quinoa salad, which are both vegan. But be careful if you're allergic to dairy (or the ingredients in any of their other soups), because they warned me that all the soups are close together and can splash into one another. The price was pretty reasonable since it was from their lunch menu ($8.95 for a soup and salad lunch duo, valid Monday - Friday from 11 am - 4 pm). I was really hoping for something more substantial... The salad was very bland, and some pieces of the greens were just so bitter that I had to spit them out. The soup was just okay. My boyfriend got the Shrimp Zucchini Scampi, which was also not great. It was mostly zucchini, with not much pasta or shrimp. And for a price of $15.99, the portion was just too small. My boyfriend eats an average amount, and he was still so hungry afterwards. He literally had to scavenge for the last bits of shrimp meat in the tails. And he even ate some of my leftover salad, which is saying a lot because he hates salad haha. The added star is from the great service. Our waitress was so patient with my many questions and made sure to double check all the ingredients in their dishes. Let me start off by saying, I've been to many cpk's, I know how it is and ran. So I came in, was greeted by Alexander, first thing I told him was, I'm super short on time, if he can find out how soon the food will be to come out so I can make a decision weather I'll dine in or take out. He politely asked me to give him a min to find out. He then says, ok, we can have it out in less than 10 minutes. So I decided to dine in. Mind you, (I'm a pessimist, I didn't think they'd realistically have it out before then). He then seats me, has my server Erika be advised on my shortness of time, she literally has my bread and drink out to me (literally running) in seconds, as she's handing me those things I'm handing her my card to charge me already, as that's happening, Alexander comes out with my food already, in less than 5 minutes!!!
