Yelp says restaurant is open. I called to place an order, no response. I placed an order via Yelp but it was canceled. I texted the number listed on Yelp but it connected to the owner, and she was upset that I was texting her private number even though it was listed from Yelp. I went to the restaurant and there are chains on the door. Very strange that the owner did not tell me the restaurant is closed. It sucks because the food is good and I always come here whenever I have class across the street. We diverted to the nearby ramen restaurant. read more

We had the Kuy Tiew Cha. It's pretty much a Cambodian Pad Thai but this is much better! This one's really tasty and saucey. The egg was cooked to a crisp on the edges which I really like. Shrimp was not overcooked. The Pork Laab was just a bit too citrusy. I don't have a prob with that cause I really like citrusy food. But maybe for the others it might be a bit too much and overwhelming, But the flavor was already perfect. Fish Amok was wrapped in a fragrant banana leaf, usually not visually appetizing but can't go wrong with this one! If you like anything with coconut cream/milk, you have to get this. The Cambodian Steak Kabob was packed with flavors. It was tender and juicy. The pickled veggies on the side complemented the beef well. Steamed rice (small). It was actually enough for 3 people! The customer service we received was really good. She's really kind and polite. She thoroughly explained to us about food allergens and made sure we're not allergic to anything. And she kept checking in on us if everything's good or if we need anything. Their ambiance reminds me of my home back in my home country -- the smell of of the incenses, the buddha statues. It felt cozy as if you were eating at a friend's house and their mom feeds you with their home-cooked hearty meals. Had been meaning to go to this place for quiet a while and finally went there last week. After going there, realized that most of the food contains fish/ oyster sauce. Was pretty disappointed by that. The choices were very limited as I am a vegetarian. Got fried tofu with rice and it was okay. My friend who eats meat also didn't like her food much. The service is very slow and the restaurant was nearly empty. Lot of reviews mentioned about mango sticky rice so we ordered that. Even that wasn't very good. Wouldn't recommend this place if you are a vegetarian otherwise there are a lot of choices. read more

I actually really like the food here. My favourite were the tamarind garlic wings, followed by the fried fish. The tamarind garlic wings were delicious, sticky honey with tamarind and were served hot. I recommend this for sure. The fish had an interesting topping of salty beans and ginger but as a fish fan, I am bias to anything fried fish. Would have been amazing if they served a whole fish Asian style instead of it filleted. The Tom yum soup was also kind of generic, had a little hint of sweetness but if you're not desperate for it, it's ok to give this a miss. The most interesting new dish I've tasted was the beef and eggplant stew. It was a sour stew but wasn't too pungent or strong like Thai curries. Definitely some new flavours. The only disappointment was the papaya salad. The other half said it was a very "American" papaya salad - there were no chilli peppers. If you visit, please get the tamarind wings. Good food, good size, good price, especially when compared to other restaurants these days. Tried some of the popular dishes and they were pretty good. The crispy chicken dumpling was good. Cha Me Khatan was also just OK. These two were not bad but nothing special. The Famous Amok fish dish was nicely steamed in banana leafs, maybe could use a tad bit more spice but that's probably just my preference based on my childhood experience. Cha Eark with chicken and Sawlaw Curry were quite tasty. These two were good, gotta have them with rice though. Will definitely stop by again whenever we're in the area. read more

The food is delicious. I can tell it was made with fresh, top-quality ingredients. The service was excellent. I had never been to a Cambodian restaurant before, and the server took time to answer our questions and explain the various dishes. The food came out quickly. The only downside was the building is old and some parts need to be fixed up. That's the only reason I'm not giving it five stars. I loved the food at Bayon Temple! It's one of my new favorite Southeastern Asian restaurants! (very similar to Thai but less spice and more aromatic). We had the Stir Fry Broccoli, Cha Throp (eggplant), and the Samlaw Curry, all with chicken. First, the serving sizes were good sized! We had plenty of leftovers. I also like that you can order a giant sized pot of rice (we always seem to run out, not this place). I really appreciate that they don't skimp on the rice. The curry was our favorite, followed by the eggplant dish. The brococoli wasn't our favorite, wasn't enough sauce, was a tad bland and broccoli wasn't cooked enough. Probably healthier though and it wasn't bad! I just thought the other dishes had more flavor. I should also mention that it's very affordable for the area. The only bummer, and this is huge, they don't offer any vegan options (other than a vegetable dish or two.) That was disappointing considering they offer so much tofu. So unfortunately, I can't go back with my family :( Also, no alcohol right now, just an FYI. That will probably change though since they are new and need to get a liquor license first. read more

First time at a Cambodian restaurant. When I entered I was greeted by a very pleasant man. He could have been the owner. He recommended items in the menu. I ordered the Beef Skewers or kabobs with pickled veggies. I love them! It was savory, tender and moist. I had the noodles like Pad Thai with Shrimps and topped with an egg and peanuts. It was ok. The serving was huge! The next entree was called Cha Eark Beef - Minced beef with Lemon Grass, peanuts, onion, sweet bell peppers and jalapeno. It's was very good! I decided to eat here on a whim with my family and stopped by on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not crowded which I liked given the pandemic situation we are in(cases are on the rise again!!) Immediately after we entered the restaurant, we were transported to Cambodia with their interior decor. The lady in the restaurant was very friendly and greeted us multiple times throughout our dinner, That was really nice of her!! For the food, we ordered the chicken kabob which was a favorite among my kids! It was very soft, juicy, and flavorful, perfectly cooked as well. we also ordered the ground chicken Cha Eark and that was also very flavorful! The food here is so authentic, fresh, and delicious! It's hard to find a place that actually makes the food spicy and it was just a great experience overall. So much flavor packed into each dish. My partner loves Chez Sovan, but their hours are very limited. We came to Bayon Temple as this location re-opened as another Cambodian restaurant. We came for lunch on the weekend, and there were only a couple tables occupied. The restaurant seems to run lean, so we did have to wait a little before being seated, getting our order taken, and getting our waters. However, the one worker we met was super friendly and checked in in us throughout our meal. We got a few things to try, including the: - tamarind garlic wings: skin was nice and crispy! The chicken may have been a little overcooked, but I didn't mind as it wasn't super dry. The sauce was tasty and reminded me of something my mom would cook at home. - steak kabob: I love a kabob, and this was great. Also loved the sweet pickled veggies it came with. My partner mentioned this tasted like something his parents would cook, so home-style food might be the theme here. - fish amok: my partner loves amok, and he enjoyed this. I generally am not a fan of this, but I enjoyed that the coconut flavor wasn't super strong and you could taste the aromatics. The fish was super tender as well. - jasmine rice: we got a small, and it came out in this big beautiful vessel! Plenty of rice in this small size. - kuy tiew cha: tasted like a sweet, soft pad thai. We discovered this neat place a few months ago and it's one of our go-to's for Cambodian food! I love the Temple atmosphere. The closest thing we will get to Cambodian food. Prior to the new ownership, they used to have a really good tamarind noodle dish. Now, it's more orange and similar to pad Thai.
