I came hear a couple weeks ago on the last day of the Feast of San Gennaro festival with a friend . We stopped in because the staff was very engaging with passerby's. We walked and were seated immediately. The restaurant was lively and filled with laughter. I ordered the cacio e Pepe with chicken. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli. My dish was perfectly seasoned and portion was just right. I devoured it. My friend loved the lobster ravioli, she was kind of enough to share a little with me. And it was delicious. During the San Gennaro Feast, we decided to eat dinner here since we wanted somewhere to sit down. There was a 15 minute wait for a table in which we ended up sitting in a small table right next to the crowds of people passing through. It got a bit hectic with how busy it was along with how tiny our table was, but we made it work. It was slightly off putting when the waiter told us we couldn't have our drinks to dine here. This is a street festival, so people are walking around with food and drinks. Plus, we were ordering a bottle of wine, so it wasn't like we weren't going to get alcohol from here too. Anyways, we chugged our drinks so they could take it away --eh. To go along with our wine, we started off with the Bruschetta ($14). This came with four pieces, which were decent (but I'm not a bruschetta fan in general). We also got some complimentary bread, but I had to also ask for oil to go with it. For the mains, we got the Spaghetti alla Carbonara ($26) and Lasagna Casa D'Angelo ($26). Both of the pasta were good, but can't say they're the best I've ever had. The owner just made multiple statements that were false. First, the waiter tipped over my glass as he reached to pull a plate. I caught it as it was half way tipped over. Had I not caught it the entire glass would have been spilled on me. Instead about a third was. He makes it sound like I did the spilling. This is exactly what I experienced at the restaurant. They try to put the blame on the customer. He then lies and says I used profanity. A lie. I never raised my voice at the table. I went up to the bar and asked to speak to a manager. All on video which I still have. So I will bet 1000 dollars to the owner he is lying. He knows he is because it's all on video. Also he lied and says no damage done. Look at my coat and shirt with your own eyes. Does that look like no damage?? You are a joke of an owner. You should have been out there immediately after the original mistake. Once I asked for you you should have offered something but you said you don't deserve anything but I will take off one glass. Really? You still think that? I owned two restaurants for 10 years with 100 employees. I know what's right and what's wrong in these circumstances. You are wrong. Passing by, we were offered a quaint table for two on the sidewalk patio. I'm so happy we stopped here. My friend had the house spaghetti with meat sauce. Homemade pasta and sauce, loaded with meat, simmered until the spices had matured. Gosh, it was super tasty. I came here with four of my girl friends on Valentine's Day for a cute Galentine's dinner, and ordered the Rigatoni Alla Polpette. The tomato sauce was kind of bland, but the pasta noodles have a great texture - delicious and chewy, and you can tell it's homemade. The meatballs were tasty and tender. My friend enjoyed her Rigatoni Alla Vodka as well. I also ordered the Tiramisu Martini, which I highly recommend!! It was creamy and delicious. Now, throughout this meal, we ordered ~5 cocktails, in which THREE were made incorrectly. The first time this happened, we asked if we could keep the cocktail (since they would throw it out anyway). They said yes, and nothing else. The second and third time, they told us they had to take it away, and we agreed. When the bill came, we were charged for the first wrong drink, and when confronting the waiter, he became extremely argumentative and then started to threaten to take it out of another waiter's paycheck since he was the one that didn't tell us they had to take away wrong drinks. He said 'it's either you or him that has to pay.' We felt very manipulated/guilted into paying for this cocktail. We ended up paying for the drink, and went to the manager at the front, who was very nice and sweet, and gave us free limoncello shots. Prices are decent, we didn't feel rushed in the slightest (my friends arrived like an hour before me and split a bottle of wine), and the interior is very cozy and cute. The starter caesars salad were very authentic and everyone had a great pasta dish. The wine list is a huge and has something for someone on every budget.
