The broth is solid, and I'd definitely recommend the fruit sour and the spicy soup. You really get your money's worth with the ring of meat too. Great portion and good quality. Service is great and attentive!

Food good Service excellent Ambiance very nice OK, this place is a hidden gem. Food is really good prices could be affordable or very expensive. We choose affordable and had an excellent experience could've fed a group of four, but we only had two. The ambience is very nice with a Chinese theme. service was surprisingly excellent from a Chinese restaurant. If I was in the area again, I would come back.

I absolutely loved the Golden Fish Maw Soup - it was exactly what I was looking for: rich, flavorful, and with an incredible, silky mouthfeel. This was our first time dining here, and we'll definitely be back. The food is excellent value for the money, and the service was warm and attentive. The broth is easily one of the best in the Bay Area, and they offer a fantastic selection of meatballs, meats, seafood, and fresh vegetables to choose from. My only wish is that they offered fresh taro as an additional ingredient, and to offer more comfortable seating for groups larger than 4 (for context, we were cramped in their table as a group of 5 adults and 1 child). Other than that, everything was wonderful.

I've been hearing so much about this place in Seattle especially from kelseyloves pho on tiktok that i wanted to try it my next visit to Seattle, but im so glad they had opened one here in the Bay Area. First walking in, we were warmly greeted by the staff and they asked if we have ever dined with them before. He showed us the amenities before seating, in which i took a hair tie to prepare for my feast. When we got seated, the server explained to us the menu and how to order and gave us a brief run down about the sauce bar which costs a little extra per person. The server also saw me take off my coat and placed it on the chair next to me, and he hurriedly came out with a coat cover and he said its so it won't smell for afterwards which i appreciate the gesture and tentativeness of the staff. We got the tum yum soup base and the pork soup. The tom yum was so flavorful and tart to my liking and the pork soup was on the more mild and clean broth. The beef and pork belly meats cut had good flavoring to them. Overall very excellent service and food!

Chengdu Memory Hotpot is so generous with their portions, and staff is helpful. We really enjoyed our time here and will be back. The meat ring is enough for 4 people, we were a party of 3 and struggled to finish, but we also got a ton of fish tofu. I also like that their menu is diverse so it's great for adventurous eaters. The sauce bar feels a little inconvenient because if they're busy the line can block a good portion of the restaurant. The sauce bar itself is kind of in a little corner compared to Din Tai Fung where there are multiple and is large enough to accommodate 2-3 people at a time.

I first tried Chengdu memory in Seattle, and now that it's in the bay, decided to come back! I won't lie, the bay has a ton of delicious Chinese hot places, so the competition is quite high! So let's get into the deets For meat, we did half beef belly and half lean meat. I usually like leaner meat but for some reason, I like the beef belly here more than the lean one. The leaner cut was tougher than the belly, and you can tell the quality is just okay on the meats. Sauce bar: this is one of the better sauce bars compared to other Chinese hot pot, I love the side dishes like the pickled chicken feet and they offered a number of hot items like fried chicken! They also have a small dessert bar which was nice as well. Sides: we got enoki mushroom and greens and some noodles. This was def more than enough food and we weren't able to finish all the meat, but thankfully we were able to take the rest togo. Overall, it's not bad. Meat quality is okay, but the side dishes at the sauce bar are good. I like how they provide quality aprons so you don't splash all over yourself. Again, my Chinese hot pot standards are high, so this was just okay.

We stopped by for the late-night happy hour, which offers unlimited 50% off select meats Monday through Thursday after 9 p.m. Just look for the Happy Hour tab on the tablet ordering system. The beef was our favorite--it stayed juicy and flavorful throughout the meal. The pork belly was tasty but dried out pretty quickly, so next time we'll probably try the chicken instead. We also really enjoyed the unlimited sauce and dessert bar, which was a fun bonus. Overall, it's a great deal if you're craving late-night Korean BBQ!

- we came around 5:30pm and luckily found parking and were able to be seated very quickly, they even opened the door for us! Service was great right off bat - ordering is easy with a tablet, they suggest to order the soup base first so it has time to boil - both soups were fragrant and packed enough flavor to make each ingredient yummy (prices are pretty reasonable here as well!) - I loved the assortment for the snack bar, there were oranges, peanuts, cucumber, seaweed, pork trotters, chicken feet, and dessert soups - later on it gets super busy so the staff tend to be preoccupied, we had to remind multiple times for things we asked for but it's understandable with how much they need to juggle. Overall, we'll be back!

Chengdu Memory Hotpot is truly a hidden gem in Fremont! With so many hot pot places becoming increasingly expensive, it was refreshing to find a restaurant that offers great quality at such reasonable prices!! And it opens late which is also a great place for late night eats What really stood out was the exceptional service. I accidentally ordered a broth that was much spicier than I could handle, and the staff went above and beyond by manually removing the peppers to make it more enjoyable. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made a huge difference!! Another pleasant surprise was the unlimited free refills on both the milk tea and lemon iced tea -- a rare perk these days. Great food, fair prices, and outstanding service. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends!

Chengdu was comparable to Haidilao... in my eyes they are about the same price and quality wise. The few differences for me is that chengdu had more limited broth options and the order had WAY more meat! Decor was nice and clean and the ring of meat makes for great photos. Service was fast and attentive. We did have to wait for an hour (since the hype is real rn), but we really wanted to try a new hot pot place! I would come back - but wait for the trend to die down!

They gave us the full tour of the restaurant (sauce bar, hair ties, bathroom) and then gave us a large overview of the menu and how to order. Very impressed. Thank you Hui and Yuan for the great service. [[ Restaurant ]] Very upscale feeling and gives the vibe of Haidilao if you've been there. It's a nice place for any occasion. [[ Food ]] We came during the lunch happy hour so 4 of the meats were half off. We also ordered their dessert to try out since they look so pretty. Some standouts: 1.) good portion sizes for the price 2.) very fresh tasting 3.) beautiful presentation I'll definitely be back :)

This place is very pretty. I give it to you one decoration. The check in area have areas to be seated and having a waitlist on Yelp is a plus. The food options are great. We ordered a handful of items for 4. And have plenty to go. Their drinks are unlimited for milk tea and lemon tea. The downside was probably the sauce bar. It doesn't have much of ponzu or other kind. The layout for it was a little hard to reach. Other than that. I'm happy to come back, probably will bring my parents!

Chengdu Memory, so good so fun and can't wait to go back. Late lunch and the family decided on hotpot. Seated immediately at the largest table they got and man what a pretty restaurant. Beautifully decorated and lots of complementary items, I grabbed a hair tie, hairs up and ready to feast. We ordered so many dishes and thanks to their side tables, we slowly devoured everything. We got their famous fish maw chicken soup, it was a hit and everyone loved it. Us big backs ordered 2 meat circles without knowing, oops. Who doesn't love free goodies with a side of quality hot pot? Although I haven't been to another well known hot pot chain with a lot of amenities, Chengdu Memory takes the top spot on my list. Hair ties, aprons, mints, lens cleaner, toothbrushes, mouthwash, dog treats, and nail polish, they have it all to complement your meal experience! I came for the rings of meat and cute shaved ice dessert, and stayed for their yummy side dishes/sauce bar ($3/person but well worth it) and other typical hot pot ingredients (seafood, vegetables, noodles). Service was quick and friendly throughout the entire experience as they explained their iPad ordering system, and my group didn't even have a wait time on a Monday night! They also have some meat discounts depending on the time/day of the week, and overall I really enjoyed the presentation of everything.

We came on a Saturday night and joined the waitlist at 7:34 PM with 10 parties ahead of us. We were seated at 8:45 PM, which felt reasonable for a busy weekend evening. Pros: Food was good ,great quality for the price. Paying $25 for a giant platter of good quality meat felt absolutely worth it to me. The soup base was flavorful, and the service was decent; the staff were friendly and welcoming. The yogurt cube shaved ice is huge and definitely meant to be shared with friends. Personally, though, I didn't enjoy the flavors of this particular dessert. Cons: We were seated in the back area near the bathroom, and there was an unpleasant smell around that section. I'm not sure if it was coming from the bathroom, but it did affect the experience a bit. This isn't really a con, but I noticed there were no kids' meal options. I've seen that the Seattle location offers them, and most hot pot places tend to have kid-friendly options. That said, it's not their fault my young kids are picky eaters just something I personally wish they had. read more

Went to this hot pot restaurant last night and had a very disappointing experience. Summer at the front desk was extremely rude, unfriendly, and seemed irritated when we asked simple questions. Customer service is a huge part of the dining experience, and unfortunately, we did not feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The food was decent, but the poor attitude and lack of professionalism at the front desk completely overshadowed the meal. No customer should feel uncomfortable or dismissed when simply trying to check in or ask for assistance. Good food cannot make up for poor customer service. I hope management addresses this issue and provides better customer service training. There is definitely room for improvement. read more

Really good Chinese hot pot! We ordered the half and half soup base and combo meets along with a bunch of other items. Everything was good, fresh, quality. Servers were fast and efficient. For my first experience here, the food and service was great! When walking in you're welcomed with snacks, hair ties and a water station by the front door. We didn't order too much since it was just the 2 of us and the portions are a bit on the bigger size. On the bright side, we're able to take home our leftovers! My favorite hot pot place is finally in the bay!! Had this once in Seattle and it was life changing. We waited 1 hour and 15 min on a Friday evening. Not too bad. We originally waitlisted for 4 people but added a 5th person when we were around 15th in line. Staff were very accommodating and added them for us, no problem. There's a snack/sauce bar that's additional cost, but worth it imo. We got half pork bone broth and half Sichuan broth, less oil, mild spice, and less numbing spice, but it was still very spicy to us. After they refilled the broth, it was more bearable, but definitely had to scoop out all the peppercorn/pepper pieces. Ordered 2 meat rings, first order was half beef half lamb and second was half beef half pork belly. The pork belly was my favorite, so yummy. Ordered cheese balls, enoki, glass noodles, fish roe fishballs, and napa cabbage. They gave us free cheesecake for our friend's birthday and free ice cream at the end. Staff and service is amazing here. Clean interior, bathroom was a tad smelly though. Will be back! read more

Finally tried Chengdu Memory Hotpot in Fremont and it did NOT disappoint. The broth options were amazing. The flavor was super rich without being too oily. Ingredients were fresh and good quality. Despite this not being an AYCE, the cost value was still great. It came out to about $60pp wrapped tax and tip - party of 6. Service was fast and friendly. Ordering was via iPads, but there were actually humans to assist. 1-3 divided pot options. Selection was typical. Everything is ala carte. We did a 3 split - mushroom, tomato, spicy. The meat selection was standard - beefs, pork, lamb. All very good quality. Presentation was fantastic with the platter option. Veggie/noodle/seafood/cooked app options were plentiful. Everything was delicious . The owner? Vincent? Was really nice and accommodating. Checked it periodically. And... there were so many goodies!!!! Hair ties, sweets, fabric spray, lens clothes! They even have a mini nail salon station in the waiting area!! Wonderful experience. Surprise Grand opening gifts after you've settled your bill -- a set of panda themed rice bowls.. TOO CUTE!!! The broth was watered down, portions were small, and lunch for two somehow came out to almost $100 with tip and no drinks. For that price, I shouldn't be leaving hungry and annoyed. I thought the chicken skin would be too thick and crunchy but it was good. Appreciate the decent amount of filling too. [Skewers] price per each - Thigh ($2.80): Moist and juicy. Would order again. - Wings ($2.80): A must order as it's delicious with the tare sauce they grill it with. - Gizzard ($2.60): Pretty good.
