If you're in Arizona and craving a taste of Chicago, this is the place to go. The restaurant is decorated with vintage Chicago sports memorabilia, which gives it a fun and authentic atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and even offered to cut our burger in half so we could share it. We ordered a burger and onion rings and both were great. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu, especially the Chicago dog and the Italian beef

After a trip to the VA I was hungry like a Hostage. I saw the sign and love All things Chicago so I opted for a peak inside and rolled the dice on lunch. A hidden gem was found. Ordered the Italian Beef loaded with sweet peppers, fries, a drink. Basic but the menu was loaded with all kinds of Chicago Goodness. Chicago Dawgs, Sloppy Joes (a local favorite), sliders, and more. Definitely a Chicago theme DDD. Worth the stop and return visit. The burgers are insane.

If you are looking for the best Chicago dog chili cheese, burger, and good old-fashioned customer service look no further! This is the spot! I can't say enough good things about the food here and the hospitality! I had the Chicago dog and it was just as I remembered. I also had a chili cheese slider, and it was out of this world! The french fries were divine and the owner is a total sweetheart! Don't walk but run to this place for some good old-fashioned Chicago style food!

This historic spot is certainly a throwback. She's showing her age, but the food was good. Friendly, quick service and the wait staff does a good job of keeping the tables clean. We enjoyed a 1/3 lb. & 2/3 lb. cheese burger, fries and shakes. The Chicago style Italian beef sandwich was good too. The prices haven't stayed historic but, no one left hungry and we took food home.

Think I came here 12 years ago. This time I tried the $10 Chicago cheesesteak. It had Chicago beef and onions and peppers and provolone. Nice lean meat and filling sandwiches. Enjoyable.

I have not been here in years and we were close by having cocktails. We wrapped up our drinks early so we can make it in before they closed. Just like I remembered everything was delicious and everybody enjoyed their sliders.

    Italian Beef Sandwich

This small restaurant has big heart! The food was great, we came for the Italian Beef Sandwich and it did not disappoint! The au Ju had so much flavor, the peppers had the perfect balance of sweet and hot. We also had cheese fries (pure nostalgia), zucchini which was also great. Service was excellent, you could tell the owner took pride in his food. I told him his food was great and he shook my hand and with a smile said "thank you". We will definitely be back!

This place has been around for as long as I can remember. My Dad used to take me here when I, as a kid, I would go to work with him and I continued that tradition on to my son. I live in the east valley now but any time my buddy and I find ourselves in the Phoenix area we HAVE to stop for some sliders and fries. The sliders are and always have been the best but the fries? ESPECIALLY if you dine in, are probably the best I've ever had. The funny thing is that I've been coming here for probably 50 years and I always tell myself I'm going to try the Italian beef or an Italian sausage but all I've EVER eaten here IS the sliders and fries. I'll have to try some other stuff to report back. The staff is always great and the owner is super cool. I'm not sure if they still offer it but they use to have a deal where if the Cubs OR the White Sox ever win the World Series, he gives free sliders to everyone that comes in the next day I think it is. I think he told me the last time it was 3 to each person, and I would imagine that would be a lot of sliders. He always has a cool story to tell as well about his business, his decor, or people he knows that might happen to be at the joint that particular day like he did the other day when I was there. Anyway, it's a tiny little place but it's a great little place. The fries alone pull 5 stars but pretty much everything about this little gem merits acknowledgement!

This has been a staple for my whole being. I always have the hardest time deciding what I'm going to eat because it's all soooo good. The people who work here are so nice and efficient. The place is always clean. Love the memorabilia everywhere. I had the hot beef with peppers and fried zucchini. My friend the sliders and fries. Always I'd recommend this place.

    Chili/cheese Dog

I drive past this place all the time and I've always wanted to eat here because it's so cute on the outside. Today was the day and I'm happy to report it's just as cute on the inside. Cute- as in, classic and comfy. More importantly, service was great and the food was delicious! I got the chili cheese dog with onion and jalapeños - so good!

After living in Chicago for five years, we became true connoisseurs of Italian beef sandwiches. Outside of Chicagoland, finding a great one is nearly impossible--so when you do, you take full advantage. We've been in the Phoenix area for about six weeks, and in that time, we've already visited Chicago Burger five times for one reason: the beef. If you're unfamiliar with this legendary sandwich, do yourself a favor--step up to the counter and order: "Beef, hot, sweet, wet." Then, grab a stack of napkins (trust me, you'll need them) and prepare to enjoy the best Italian beef sandwich in Phoenix. This place is the real deal!

Nope! No libations here, the setup and vibe of the place is not really conducive to alcohol service. However, beer would be a welcome addition to the menu and would complement the Italian beef, burgers and dogs.… Read more

The layout is a bit challenging since the menu board faces perpendicular to where you enter. When I arrived a group were craning their necks to read the options. This is not fancy. My order was called and I had the charcoal grilled fish and my friend had the classic burger . We also split the chili fries. Both came on paper fry containers and a cafeteria style tray. There was a large condiments stand with wagon wheels. It is similar to chuckbox but much larger. The food was decent and the fish cooked correctly. I apologize for no pics, we were engaged in a stimulating conversation. People put food first but in today's workd, we need to spend more time talking and listening to one another. I completely forgot to take pics of the food. Overall, it is a simple smashed style of burger patty. The ambiance is lower lighting with a western aged setting. Think traditional western style. It was my first time and while not my preferred style of burger, the food is decent. This is a place that offers customizable food, TV's and it was not too noisy. The counter person was extremely helpful in offering insights and options. Enjoy your experience and wear your boots and Cowboy hat.

It has been around for DECADES and there is no question as to why it is still there. When visiting the Chuck Box know that it is cash only (ATM on-site), and super popular. There WILL be a line. The line does move extremely fast, due to the fact that the line cooks are definitely not waiting until you get to the counter to take your order. They will call out to anyone in line (regardless of where in line you are) and take your order, yelling it out if needed. It is such a unique and fun experience. The burgers are not overpriced and are phenomenal! It is self serve toppings, after you pay for your order you can go to the topping bar and add as much to your burger as your heart desires. They additionally have other food on the menu such as veggie burger, chicken sandwhiches, chicken tenders, onion rings, fries, fried zuchinni, fried mushrooms, and more. I have had both the fried zuchinni and mushrooms and I would definitely recommend both options! Since it really popular, be aware that there is limited seating and it is crowded. It is additionally extremely warm (especially during the summer) inside the building due to the grill. If you have not already checked out the Chuck Box, I would definitelly recommend that you check it out as soon as possible!!!

To start, my burger tasted pretty good. The cheese was good. Bun was a little dry and stale. The lettuce was yellow and chopped and looked several days old and slightly rotten. Two of my tomatoes had active mold growing on them. It was too dark inside to see it but we ate in the car and saw the moldy spot then. The fries are good but way too salty. We really liked the fried mushrooms. But we made our own dipping sauce which was better than the ranch they give you: mix 2/3 mustard and 1/3 Mayo. Tangy and delicious. We get these at "The Windmill" when we go to the jersey shore and the sauce that comes with the fried mushrooms is a horseradish sauce which is amazing (hint hint, Chuck Box). I would eat here again but bring a flashlight to inspect the produce and lower my expectations. It was good, not great. It smelled kind of off in here also. The AC and vents probably need to be cleaned.
