Brooo, my wife has got me hooked onto this place! They made the best Cafe Latte I ever had. The boba was super soft and chewy too! I had to review because I wanted them to have more customers and keep this place open! I have also tried their kumquat honey as well and it's also amazing!
The drinks vary from pretty good to not great 2/5 for the coconut juice, tastes a lot like the canned coconut juice but w sugar added 4/5 for the tropical tea, decently refreshing. Good taste and aroma 3/5 for the salty oolong drink, wish the tea flavor was more pronounced but I enjoy the cream. The oolong is very weak. 4/5 for the tiger mochi tea. I really love the textures and flavors going on Unique enough drinks, right next to Asian garden mall, and it's pretty tasty. Won't go out of my way to go here but I'm happy to swing by when I'm in the area and have a hankering for milk tea. Bonus points bc I love the couch they have next to the entrance and the servers are really friendly.
SERVICE: 5/5 The owner reached out to me for a complimentary drink because when I came one day the store was closed despite their hours stating otherwise. I appreciate them making things right! PANDAN MATCHA (3/5): Their pandan is amazing, I like it a lot. The matcha? Not so much. Again, not a huge matcha stan but I do think it was too bitter for my taste. For others, some may enjoy it but I don't think the drink was a perfect creamy for me. I would come back to try their other drinks though!
Just doordashed this Double matcha and It is So GOOD that I have to write this review ASAP. Omg, they nailed it. I had tried Double matcha many many places and there has only been one place that I gave 10/10. And now Chill Coffee, second place, that Im gladly to give 10/10 for their recipe. Need a break after your 90 minute wait before/after dim sum at Seafood Cove II (upstairs)? Ready for drinks after shopping at Asian Garden Mall (across the street)? Use a boost after A Dong supermarket shopping (a few doors down)? Head straight to Chill! Absolutely the best Einspanner Matcha in town. The sweet cream on top is so good, you will not want to mix it (so you get a taste with every sip). I was lucky to catch the owner/matcha expert Trang in the shop on my visit this weekend; she's amazing! Teeny shop with some comfy sofa seating if you can grab it. Parking in this plaza is a challenge, but don't give up. It's so big, and so much is going on, there are as many people leaving as coming. Don't sleep on this place -- absolutely the friendliest and tastiest boba shop in the OC.
Was in the area pretty late on a Friday night and wanted a matcha but everywhere else was basically closed except for this spot. Parking wasn't bad and I was quite literally the only person in the place haha. But the guy who took my order was super chill and efficient and I was in and out of there in maybe 3 minutes. The menu looked super good but I was basic and got a double matcha. All drinks are made with oat milk (for my fellow lactose intolerant peeps). The drinks are a great size for the price imo and it was high quality and very tasty. I'm super impressed!!!

Chill Coffee is such a welcome addition to the area, especially because it's one of the few boba spots open early. Sometimes you want something other than coffee in the morning, and this place absolutely delivers. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting with comfortable seating, great music, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Everything feels thoughtfully curated without being overdone. I ordered the Lychee Oolong Tea, and it was incredibly refreshing. The tea flavor came through beautifully, and it wasn't overloaded with sweetness like so many other boba drinks. I also tried the Pandan Matcha, which was perfectly balanced. The earthy matcha and subtle pandan complemented each other so well, and again, it wasn't overly sweet. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and excellent service. I'll definitely be back and am so happy to have an early-opening boba spot in the neighborhood.
I got a salty matcha latte today and it was really well made and presentation on point. The guy working was really friendly and his customer service felt genuine and not just transactional! Price was fair and menu had lots to choose from.
Wonderful fast service. Place is super cute. They have pastries, beverages, and great service. We ordered salty cheese beverages. Was tasty -- although they do make it different than Happy lemon of course. But it was still good. Thank you again! Establishment is very clean.
Located across from the Asian Garden Mall, with tons of coffee and tea shops in every corner, chill coffee stood out to me since they have a variety of matcha and coffee. To my surprise, coffee was strong, smooth, and rich. Matcha was perfectly balanced with milk and matcha ratio. I also loved that it came in a 24 oz cup for about $7. They also have a an option to add as much espresso free of charge. I love strong coffee, so I don't know about adding an additional shot. Probably if anyone wants to stay awake all day and night. The staff that took my order is very friendly and helpful. He knows the menu very well, and can adjust to your preferences.

i lowkey wanna gatekeep this place because i dont want it to get packed and parking is already bad, but this place deserves recognition!!! trust me, i have tried almost every coffee shop or matcha place in oc and chill coffee has never failed me. i always get the double matcha with 50% sugar and it always hits the spot. inside is very small so i wouldn't recommend studying/working here. but the service is pretty quick so if you want a quick matcha fix that is REALLY good, come here!!!!

The place is very nice and well designed with comfortable seating and outlets. The drinks are a bit overpriced for how much ice they put in, but the boba is perfectly sweetened. The cost to add boba to a drink is also astronomical... $1.25, not worth it in my opinion. I personally got the tropical tea and it tasted pretty sour at full sweetness, not at all what I was expecting. The Kumquat honey tea was better, but not by much. However, the servers were very nice and quick to make the drinks! I would come back, but probably try one of the matcha drinks because they look very rich and tasty. read more

Tried the Banana Coffee today and honestly loved it. The banana aroma blends surprisingly well with the smooth coffee, plus a light hint of cinnamon that makes the drink extra comforting and refreshing on a hot day. Very relaxed vibes here. It's one of many coffee and boba shops in the area. This place is a solid 7. The decorations were cute and matched the recent Tet holiday that just passed. Yes, this matcha craze has also hit me. I needed my matcha latte fix and found this small (fairly new) shop so wanted to give it a try. The interior is a bit small, but has a welcoming and homie feel. Came by after grabbing breakfast nearby, We ordered the matcha latte and a black coffee. Service was friendly and quick and we got our order in less than 5 minutes. The matcha latte did its job, soothing and refreshing in every sip. Definitely what I needed to wash down a heavy breakfast. Although it quenched my thirst and satisfied my matcha craze, this place has a whole line of matcha flavored drinks and I'm more curious on how the others taste. I debated rating them because I lowkey want to gatekeep this place. IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MATCHAS IN OC. I don't even know where to start. My friend and I came in around 6:15 PM on a Friday night to lock in before finals there was no one in the cafe. The store is so freaking cute. We ordered a matcha oat milk latte and a pandan matcha and oh my gosh they were both so good. From the intense green color, I already knew it was going to be good, but I didn't expect it to be THIS GOOD. It was the perfect sweetness (less sweet) and had SUCH A STRONG MATCHA FLAVOR. To top it off, the default milk is oat milk AND all matchas are $6 after 5 PM. The drinks are pretty large too!! Like where else can you get a double or banana matcha for $6??? The drinks came out so fast and we both chugged it because it was so good then got post matcha sadness afterwards. The only con is that they play really loud music so it can be hard to focus, but honestly, I would come back 100 times for the matcha alone and bring noise cancelling headphones next time. Drinks: pandan coffee (8.5/10) - interesting combo! i've never had hints of pandan in my coffee before but those are two of my favorite flavors. the coffee is still strong with hints of the pandan but overall sweet to me salty cream matcha (8/10) - unique taste to it! the salty cream was really good and added texture. the drink had a nice balance where it wasn't too sweet. egg coffee brûlée (8/10) - i love egg coffee! this was definitely sweet but had strong coffee kick and taste to it. the egg added sweetness and creaminess to the drink double matcha (10/10) - creamy, sweet, rich matcha taste. had nice texture and wasn't watered down or powdery. My first time here and had a great experience. The menu had tons of choices for matcha and iced coffee lovers as well as fruit teas and smoothies. Nice, clean and cozy environment. Friendly staff . Huge parking lot (located in large plaza) so shouldn't be too hard for parking on a regular day. Loved that there's different cream tops. I wanted to like this place a lot more since the staff there was really nice. I came in on a weekend with one other person for some matcha. I like that they have a variety of different types of matcha. They just opened so their banana matcha and hot drinks are not available yet but is coming soon. But they have flavors such as salty cream, strawberry, ube, and pandan matchas. I like you can do less ice and less sweet. They also have different add-ons and their matchas come default with oatmilk. They're about $7 each for a large cup which I thought was very fair. I went with their double matcha and the person I went with got their salty cream matcha. I asked for less sweet with less ice and their mochi boba. But unfortuntely they said they didn't have their mochi boba until later while they had started making it said they actually had it available then. They offer to put it in and let me sample but I changed my mind of having it. Since I did try it it tasted like a cross of grass jelly and chewy boba. I recommend and would get it next time. The matcha however didn't taste like high quality matcha to me. The color also wasn't super bright green. It was however super strong. The person I came with who got their salty cream matcha also thought it was okay. I would come back possibly to try their coffees instead since they have that too. The inside is small and casual but there are a few chairs and tables to hang out. They even have a restroom. It's located right underneath Seafood Cove. read more

I think this place is okay - probably figuring out some kinks since it's a new place, which I get. The matcha comes with oat milk as a default, I asked for 2% milk but they didn't have any. That's not a big deal for me though. I was specifically wanting a drink with ube so I decided to try the matcha with ube foam. I had high hopes considering the matcha looked decently vibrant, but it ended up being okay. The ube flavor definitely wasn't strong enough. It tasted more like custard? I'm not sure but the Ube flavor wasn't prominent in my opinion. the drink was also grainy which felt weird. the matcha didn't feel smooth or creamy, more like grassy. The price ended up being around $7, which is average! The parking wasn't the easiest, was pretty full on a Wednesday afternoon but I ended up finding one spot. The customer service was neutral, not positive nor negative. Overall, I might come back another time to see how it goes! read more

Stumbled upon this place while setting up for a wedding event upstairs at Seafood Cove 2. What a nice find. Newly opened coffee/tea spot with a great menu... too bad we missed the grand opening with free Labubus! Lol. They offer a variety of drinks from coffee, matcha, and teas with different flavors and toppings. This time we tried their Tiger boba milk tea, pandan coffee latte, egg coffee, ube coffee, thai green milk tea, & tropical tea. Option to adjust ice & sweetness level. We enjoyed all our drinks here. Got a lychee oolong tea for the kids and pandan matcha latte for myself. Both solid choices. They give free extra shots with the pandan latte. It has 2 shots, and asked for 1 extra. Are there temporary pick up parking spaces outside the coffee shop?
Hi Peter. Yes there are a total of 3 temporary (15 minutes) parking spaces outside our shop. You can park in those spaces while picking up your drinks.
Parking is limited in the plaza, can you provide me with parking instruction?
Parking can be tight in our plaza, so we recommend parking in the adjacent lot by Lee’s Sandwiches—just a 1-minute walk away with plenty of space. While signs mention a 20-minute limit, it’s not enforced unless you park overnight.
