I have a love hate relationship with Chipotle in general, and this Tracy location is no exception. LOVE: -the flavors -the options (vegetarian with tofu and grilled veggies) -the fast service HATE: -the skimpy-ness with the serving -when they intentionally don't fill up the entire scooper of rice/beans/protein -when they place one scoop of whatever, and you think you're about to get a second scoop but they shake shake shake the food off the scooper until all that's left is a tablespoon amount! And then put that on your item I always order chips and salsa, because that's my favorite thing. Chipotle NEVER fills up the salsa cup. And it's not free...not complimentary...YOU PAY FOR IT! Look at the amount they gave me (photo attached). I'm standing there like Oh My Goodness! I took it out of the bag and showed the cashier. I said, "What's up with this?" He said, "Would you like another?" And I'm thinking to myself, "No I don't want another, I want one!" Then I had to ask, "I'm paying for this, right?" He said yes. I stopped ordering online because every time I did I would get less than half portions. You would think corporate would read these reviews and do something about it with the store manager but nothing has changed. I don't think people are asking for more than what is supposed to be given. The pricing isn't cheap either. A burrito with guacamole costs more than $12 so the expectation is to get what you pay for. If I could give zero stars I would. And I would name these women if it didn't risk my review being posted . I Just went to this chipotle to order a simple steak bowl. Upon arrival they didn't have any regular steak. They said it would be a 15 minute wait as there wasn't even any on the grill so I waited in my car until 4:15. When I went back in I waited in line until I was met by a girl in a mask. I asked her for double steak. Yet she only gave me probably 4 pieces more (less than half a scoop). This was not double by a long shot. I told her I didn't believe that it was double. She said it was so I asked her " how many scoops are in a double order" she then yelled down the line to ask someone else. Shouldn't she have known This? I pointed this out, as she should know considering she just claimed to have given me double.... After that, I said, I wouldn't pay for double If I don't get the double amount then the manager chimed in and said "I'm going to charge you double". I once again said I wasn't for that amount of meat. She then said "fine don't pay, leave" I started explaining to her why I wouldn't, again, very calmly and she rudely cut me off talking about the "oz's" in a double order. I don't see a scale either... For an establishment like this, the premium price you pay, this response from these two women was totally unacceptable especially considering I was calm and polite the whole time. This is one if the best, most consistent chipotle locations I've been to in a long time. Since moving to Tracy in the Fall, I've been here 5-6 times for lunch and the staff is very friendly and efficient. Only 1 visit was a bit subpar when they had a computer systems issue that was holding things up (out of their control), but every other time has been a very pleasant experience. Tracy is a small town and Chipotle was kind of a big deal for some people. -1STAR There was a lady working.. unsure if she was the manager or supervisor on duty but she was just rude. The young man was helping me and making my food and she stopped him and made him do something else without reassuring me that my food was going to be worked on. I'm unsure if she noticed but her body language was just awful. Commented to a staff about it, hope they make a change. I don't think it's consistent like other locations. Very inconsistent portion servings, mostly small amounts given at times. Seems like there's no standard serving amount established amongst the staff. Basically you never know what you're getting when you go in there. Lack of training maybe? The food is not exactly cheap and there's plenty of other eating options near by. Terrible service top to bottom at the Tracy location. The manager Guillermo was immature and extremely difficult to deal with. The chipotle app needs some troubleshooting. I received my order drenched in Coca-Cola, and my Coca-Cola bottle was broken inside the bag. This was my first and last Tracy Chipotle experience. I love Chipotle and have been going to Chipotle for a long time. The Livermore location is so much better. I had Doordash deliver me the smallest burrito. Even my 7 years old asked me if that was a kids burrito. I was told that they have gotten strict on portions not to go over 4 ounces.
