I went to the Monterey Park location, and this was my first time trying Japanese BBQ. The quality of the meat was amazing. This place is pricey, but you get what you pay for. The staff was very helpful and attended to our table throughout our visit. The music that they played was amazing too--R&B and hip-hop. This is probably one of the best ayce experiences you can get - dining here felt like the most indulgent foodie fever dream with unlimited high quality sushi and meats, and even more in the stations like milk tea, desserts, sides. The #1 tip I have is to come here HUNGRY if you want to get your $$$ worth. I did not know what to expect when I came, and only regret that I wasn't hungrier to be able to eat more. This is not your typical ayce mid quality experience. We got the highest tier and ate like absolute royalty. Usually skeptical of a place that does both meats & fish (and RAW fish at that) but both quality was superb and the selections were amazing. Everything sounded good and it was (too) easy to order from an iPad and have everything just appear at our table. Service was great with helping cook our meats. The inside of the restaurant is also very modern and clean/adding to the high quality ambience of our meal. I normally go to the Rowland heights location because they have salad/drinks/side bars you can walk up to and grab your stuff. At this location, you'll be staying at your table for the entire time. Walking to the other bars helped me not feel so full l and also gives me a break in between the meats. The quality here is still very high and the service is great. They're attentive and always check on your table even during peak hours. We did wait about 2 hours for a table of 10. This was expected as this place gets very busy. The table are kind of close to each other so not a lot of walking space. This makes sense since you should stay seated at all times. You need anything, the servers will help grab it or you can order it through the tablet. Overall, 4/5 food is great. Not much more you can ask for. Expect long wait times to get a table. read more

This is a very good Japanese bbq restaurant! Our server/waitress, Addy was very very courteous and attentive! I wish the owner would hire more staff because everyone is enthusiastic and eager to serve the customers. Because they told us not to cook it for so long. It's yummy but I feel so sluggish after all the fatty meat. You need to have a variety of lean and fatty Good for special occasions but not all the time. Place feel like other bbq joints but appreciated the high flames to quickly cook your items. It's really about preference, the quality of the meats for the regular 55 package is more than enough. They have some locations that offer hotpot with kbbq and some that offer sushi with kbbq. This location in Monterey park is sushi and kbbq. They have a great variety on their menu and the quality and taste is definitely there.
