I don't understand what all the fuss is about? Since I was already in Burbank at the Farmers Market, I was very hungry and have passed by this place numerous times and never had the chance nor the opportunity to try this lovely place that is packed with lots of cuteness and great customer service by their employees. Met up with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in a very long time, and we had a lot of catching up to do. We were their 1st customers as soon as they opened their doors. 11am sharp. We both decided to order their Chicken fried pot stickers, an order of Chicken Chow mien, and Chicken steamed dumplings. Yes, too much chicken. We both love Chicken a lot.. Hot , Soy , sauce were already on the table. Everything tasted fresh, and delicious. They do 3rd party orders, delivery, but no catering. That's ok, it doesn't bother me. Both bathrooms were nice and clean along with the dining area. Fine music was already playing. Parking situation is a challenge. We parked on the street. For those 3 items that we have ordered cost us less than $43.75 cents. Generous portions. We split the bill and that's all I can say for now. Will definitely return when I happen to be in Burbank! Thank you all and keep up the consistency. Consistency is the main element, factor not only in food, but in customer service! Be happy that you have something to eat. Others are starving everywhere!!!

I have to say, having an opportunity to eat here on a Friday night was just the kind of break I needed with how busy things were. On magnolia. We wound up ordering salt and pepper popcorn chicken and some pork and cabbage dumplings and it was super tasty. The guy helping us was also super nice and made sure we got enough to fill our bellies. For all the food we ordered and it still only being 40ish bucks I felt that I got my money's worth here too. Overall, with how great the food was here, Burbank has another gem I would love to visit more often. Cheers!

I was so excited to try chubby dumplings. I walked in and zeroed in on the combo option and was disappointed that they were not available yet. Undeterred, I ordered the Chicken & Mushrooms spicy Szechuan and the Wagyu Steak ramen. Everything tasted great. The chicken and mushrooms had a great spice. The noodles had a great chew and the broth was incredibly flavorful. However soon after I finished I was feeling off, my stomach began to hurt but I went on with my evening. Before long I felt horrible everything hurt and when I got home I won't go into graphic detail but I was sick from both sides. Today I have only managed to keep down saltines and gingerale.

Not a bad spot since it is right next to the movie theater. Lots of parking near here unless there is an event going on. Would come back to try the combo meal they are trying to introduce. Employee were friendly. The surprising dish would be the fried rice since wasnt expecting that kind of flavor from such a small spot and was fast too. The pan fried dumplings were good. Did not like the sesame wonton too much since the sauce was too thick so it was hard to mix around. Would definitely come back for the fried rice though.

I really wanted to like Chubby Dumplings, especially since it's so nicely located to the AMC theater I go to a lot. And while the interior is nice and attractive, the food was a disappointing let down. We ordered the Popcorn Chicken and the Black Pepper Wagyu Dumplings and they were both tough and chewy, as if they came out of the freezer and microwaved. Both were slightly cool instead of hot, so if they've een sitting around for a while too. At least the Popcorn Chicken did taste like regular popcorn chicken even though it was lacking the nice tenderness and texture I would expect from it, but the black pepper Wagyu dumpling simply does not taste anything like Wagyu or much of anything for that matter. The dumpling wrapping didn't seem like it was steamed on a pan, and lack that softness that can just melt in your mouth. The best part of our meal was us mixing the soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil together so we can have some decent flavor to add to the lackluster dumplings. There is potential to the menu, they just need to serve better food.

Solid choice for quick and tasty dumplings! This is a great option for a quick bite with plenty of options. We ate in and were pleased by the service and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Note: they have lots of meat and non-meat options! We tried the Dan Dan noodles, spicy pork and shrimp Szechuan dumplings, black pepper wagyu beef dumpling, har gow,, and bbq pork bao. The pork and shrimp Szechuan dumplings were the star for sure! Great flavor. Only feedback is I wish they had more of the numbing qualities of Szechuan peppercorn. I could have done a bit spicier. The Dan Dan noodles were very flavorful and I've never had them with beef. I would have preferred with pork, but the beef was still tasty. I wish the har gow and black pepper wagyu dumpling had a bit more flavor, but once dipped in sauce it's great! Pro tip: if you get the Szechuan dumplings - dip the black pepper wagyu dumplings in the sauce!!

I got the wagyu dumplings and wow they were so good. Very filling too, I almost couldn't even finish them all! At first I was a bit disappointed because they didn't have any more of the soup dumplings that I came for but still had a very good experience. They also had some fun drink options inside too. Ooh I was super excited to try out this spot during it's soft opening after having been to their Anaheim location. You order at the kiosks but you can also view the menu above. It's a quick eatery type of place perfect for a snack or lunch. We were handed our orders directly by the male staff and we enjoyed snacking outside in the patio. The Har Gow (shrimp) dumplings were good but I didn't like the crunch of the ginger inside. 4/5, the BBQ pork siao pao was fluffy and delicious I enjoyed the warm comforting taste of the dumpling! 5/5 Overall it was a great spot to stop by at for a bit and enjoy a nice break munching on dumplings!!

Came to try Chubby Dumpling during their soft opening. The atmosphere and ambiance of the place is nice and welcoming. There are plenty of tables inside and outside. They have nice music playing in the background as well. It's super easy to order through their tablet (so I think this establishment is card-only). They, unfortunately, didn't have the combos available yet so I settled on getting everything separately. I ordered the steamed black pepper Wagyu dumplings, Wagyu noodles, Dan Dan noodles, popcorn chicken and steamed custard bun. My favorite was definitely the dan Dan noodles because of the flavor and creaminess. I liked the Wagyu dumplings but they weren't super hot but the flavor was good. Overall, I recommend this place. The service is good. The worker made sure to check on us, which was super nice! Located right across from the movie theater

Ok so I thought I would try this place out. Hmmm, I ordered pork xiao long bao, chicken fried rice and chicken chow mean. XLB only came with 6 dumplings! For $11.50. The pork filling was tough not much soup, maybe frozen. Fried rice tasted like a non Asian dish with frozen veggies mix added, barely any chicken veggies were al dente especially peas. Not pleasant to chew. The Chow mein was packaged noodles again barely chicken and not much flavor. This was an expensive try with both chow mean and fried rice at $17.50 each. Wouldn't suggest this place. I would rather go to Din Tai Fung.

This place is good for what it is, I am glad to have seen an older Chinese lady making the dumplings by hand especially because this location is next to a Chinese place where robots make your fried rice. You can actually taste experience and care in these dumplings. The menu has a good enough variety of dumplings, I kinda wish they didn't feel like upcharging beef dumplings because of wagyu, I don't need wagyu at a grab and go dumpling location lol This place is still new so they didn't even have the combos available to order from the kiosk. There is plenty of seating and I like that you can fill your own soda. The sodas are a combination of the fancy ones and the regular kind. They also have bottled teas and stuff you can take from their fridge. I got the wonton in chili oil and they were good enough for me to feel full but not too full. They weren't spicy at all, just more on the sweeter side. My friend got the potstickers and the filling tasted really good. Parking is free and easy at the garage off of Orange. If you need a really fast bite before a movie at the AMC this is a good option.

Redeemed steamed custard bun via rewards and the item was meh. I can prob get better ones from frozen buns at the market. The Wagyu Stir Fried noodles had savory sweet noodles that were enjoyable the first few bites but got heavy as it went on. The Wagyu inside was tough to chew through. Might go with the Wagyu dandan noodles instead next time.

Ok-- let me preface by saying that I rarely give 1 star to establishments. The reason for my rating is that I can, in no way, justify the price for the quality of the product. WAGYU FRIED NOODLES 5/10: These wagyu fried noodles were not bad. The noodle has a decent amount of flavor, the steak has a bit of a smokey flavor and it does add to the noodle dish. However, I would think that calling the steak "Wagyu" is a bit misleading. I would by no means call this Wagyu and the dish, in its entirety, is a bit underwhelming. BEEF DUMPLINGS 3/10: I have been to multiple Japanese restaurants that have served dumplings. I do have to say that these dumplings fall short in both texture and taste. The filling lacked seasoning and was a chewy meat ball inside a wrapper. The wrapper itself was a bit thick and was not soft. It was not the worst but I was extremely disappointed in the quality especially considering that they are roughly 16 dollars. WONTON IN CHICKEN SOUP 0/10: This was inedible. As someone who is a huge fan of wontons in chicken soup, or wonton soup, this was perhaps the worst soup I have tried, unfortunately. When I initially ordered it, I had hopes of it being a nice, warm, hearty soup to have after me and my partner ate the rest of the food. The broth was straight up sodium and left an unpleasant aftertaste that grabbed my tongue. The broth tasted artificial. When I told my partner that I couldn't eat it because it would irritate my tongue, he told me that he'd eat it instead and not to worry--he couldn't even eat it. He said that the wontons had a funky taste to them. Really disappointed. MUSHROOM DUMPLINGS? 2/10: These were meant to be chicken dumplings but they got our order wrong. I admit, I do not like mushrooms, so that is where most of my rating came from. However, the flavor of the dumplings was slightly unpleasant and my partner who does eat mushrooms agreed as well. SERVICE --/10: We got this through Postmates so this rating is strictly based on the food itself. I'd also like to note that they did not provide us with any dipping sauces for the dumplings. For 70 dollars, we were extremely disappointed.

We ordered steamed black pepper wagyu beef dumplings, beef noodle soup, and dan dan noodles. Dumplings has chili oil and soy sauce on the side. I'm not sure if they have lemon sauce, I didn't ask. I like my dipping sauce spicy and tangy combination. First time trying dan dan noodles and I actually like it a lot. My son ordered the beef noodle, he said it is okay, he prefers the one from Noodle St becauses it has spicy option. I will definitely come back again to eat dan dan noodles and try other dumplings. Went to try this place with my mom and it was so yummy. The waiter was kind and helpful and the price was great considering we've spent way too much money on dumplings in the past. Went to try chubby dumplings for lunch today. I was told before ordering that they might not have what we want since it's soft opening such as combo. So I ordered dan dan noodles and shezhuan dumpling. For Dan dan, I was a bit skeptical as the noodles don't look the same as in picture. The menu picture shows small yellow noodles which is typical dan dan noodles but the actual noodles is big noodles. Despite the type of noodles, it's delicious. The shezhuan dumpling is super tasty. Made a trip out to get Chubby Dumpling. I'm a frequent patron to cattle and the various hotpot locations. Given my experience with the Chubby Group, I expected more. Unfortunately the dumpling fell short. The skin of the dumplings are thick and dry. The dan dan noodles was too creamy. The beef noodles soup wasn't bad. Unfortunately they ran out of the soup dumplings and the pork chop rice but I assume it wouldn't be as good. The price is similar to din tai Fung so I would rather go there. read more

Not a bad place! It is FAST food, the ingredients feel cheap and it's not cooked to seasoned well. I don't think it was worth the price for what it was, honestly. Popcorn chicken was the best thing we tried. Rice was bland. We got dumplings and they tasted like frozen Trader Joe's dumplings (they weren't but they were similar). Below average place, most things aren't worth it. The popcorn chicken was the best bang for your buck! read more

I first tried to call ahead, and no one picked up the phone. I was super excited to go because the reviews looked promising. Little did I know... their menu and kiosk didn't match in terms of pricing and quantity AND they advertised combos that they weren't serving yet. There was AI art on the wall that contributed to the dystopian experience. The dumplings remind me of the Trader Joe's frozen dumplings. These were the worst dumplings and noodles I have ever had. Worse than the frozen dumplings I make at home. The dumpling skin was soggy and fillings were tasteless. Noodles were also soggy and the dan dan noodles were soupy for some reason. Definitely not an authentic experience. Ripoff for the price for food. read more

Just tried this few hours ago.. WOW! food was so yummy!! I got the wonton ramen and black pepper wagyu wonton- so so good! The noodles of the ramen were perfects and the flavor of the wonton was so good. Sometimes i get tired if wonton right away- but i kept wanting more if that wagyu wonton!! Service was great too- there's a guy with glasses (forgot to get his name) and Vanessa up front who were really helpful. Vanessa walked me through ordering on the kiosk and was super nice when i had questions/ needed something. Ambiance is great too. This place is tucked in between other food establishment, but it was so clean and chill. Music was great as well! Definitely a chill hangout spot! read more

I'm officially obsessed. The dumplings are perfectly steamed, the skins are soft but don't fall apart, and the fillings are super tasty. Paired with their chili oil? Next level. I've been to this spot 3 times already since its soft opening. It's been a great choice for 1-2 people. The portion of the food allows us to try more dishes at a time. The prices are pretty high for the amount you get, but even worse is the menu is a complete lie. They say it's because they're in soft opening... But they are open. Combos are not yet available. And all ordering has to be done through a kiosk in front of a person... you can't just order through the person. Why? It makes no sense. Then when you go to use the kiosk, which again does not list everything the posted menu lists, 90% of the stuff there was also not available/out of stock. If you're going to be open, either stock what you list or don't list it. Just a silly system all around. read more

Eating here was not a positive experience. The menu is misleading. While the kiosk system is convenient , the photos on the menu and the advertisements are clearly AI and do not reflect the quality of the actual items . I ordered the pork and cabbage dumplings which arrived fully pink. The chef said "that was how it was supposed to look." My girlfriend and I come to this location a few times a week. The cook, who might be the manager, with glasses older guy, was tucked into the wall in the kitchen. I believe he was on his phone, but I don't think he ever changed his gloves at all while making food or bringing it to our table. Nice, clean "chain" restaurant. Had a pretty good dinner prior, but was still hungry and was craving spicy dumplings. Lots of choices. I settled for the wontons in chili oil. They were very flavorful with plenty of chili oil. Some heat but not excessive with lots of good flavor. Too bad there are not Chubby Dumplings in Arizona. We also got this drink called Powerful from their smoothies section of the menu. It was called Green Smoothie. Ingredients were the following: blueberries, honey, Greek Vanilla yogurt, avocado and Almond milk. It was simply very refreshing and delicious. My friend wanted some sort of Latte, Espresso, Americano, etc..but they didn't have any of those drinks. All they had was regular & decaf coffee. At first, I asked for Cranberry juice, and Jose, said they only had Apple and Orange juice. We found it a bit odd not to have any of those drinks. Going back to our server Elsa, she was a bit aloof and forgetful. I asked for a bowl of fruit, and it never made it to our table. After we were done eating, I asked for two to-go boxes and a bag, she forgot that too. We had to ask the other employees to get them for us. The same with to-go containers for our sauces. She forgot to bring napkins too. Jose, (our busboy), needs a raise and promotion! Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. i give it a 4 star because it's a new asian place in burbank. i ordered the pork xlb and taiwanese beef noodle soup. pork xlb: normal size, but contained very little actual soup + wasn't that hot. the flavor was a bit bland but serviceable. overall, $9 for 6 pieces is a bit ridiculous, especially considering that their quality didn't make up for it. taiwanese beef noodle soup: actually solid, I put in some chili oil i got as a side, and the broth was hearty and flavorful. the noodles were chewy, good consistency, and as someone who's always had to drive out to arcadia/alhambra to satisfy their craving for this dish, i am happy that a decent provider is in the city. overall, it's alright, but i do hope that dine in customers could get served in actual plates / bowls rather than the take out paper things. what's the output of 4 + 4 read more

The dumplings were packed with flavor--the beef was roughly minced instead of finely ground, which made it easy to enjoy the tenderness of the meat. A really satisfying bite every time. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was in this establishment several months ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they only had lunch specials available from Monday - Friday at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is non existent. You will have to find street parking or local parking garages. Make sure to read the street signs well before parking. I saw someone get a ticket while walking to the restaurant. Food and Drinks: I got myself a peach jasmine iced tea. It came in an old school can type container, which was very unique and cool. The drink itself was very fruity, floral, and refreshing. As someone who loathes super sweet drinks and food, this was just right. Perfect for a hot summer's day. My dope ass friend and I ordered the spicy garlic chicken rice and shaken beef garlic noodles. The spicy garlic chicken rice is a signature wok dish featuring flash-fried chicken, broccoli, and jalapeños tossed in a bold, savory garlic sauce served over a bed of hot and fluffy rice. It also comes with some popular Vietnamese veggies like lettuce, daikon radish, and pickled carrots. The chicken itself was soft, tender, and flavorful. Truthfully, this dish was mid compared to that of the shaken beef garlic noodles. It was also a pretty hefty portion of food. The shaken beef garlic noodles were hella fire. You would be remiss if you didn't order this, y'all. That's like going to Disneyland during Halloween season and NOT taking a photo with the gigantic ass pumpkin. Tsk tsk tsk. Anyways, this dish had thick, incredibly tender, mouth watering, and juicy cuts of wok-seared beef tenderloin and buttered onions served over generous portions of al dente savory, garlic-loaded noodles. As a fan of garlic and onions, this dish hit the spot. Also, this was a "wet" noodle style rather than a dry stir-fry. The generous portion sizes make it a heavy, highly filling meal. Staff: So I arrived earlier than my friend. They technically were not supposed to seat me until my friend arrived, but because the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived, they told me to sit down at a booth to wait for my friend. For basically $30 for this combo, I honestly think you're better off going to an actual sushi restaurant like Aikan. SushiStop is probably fine if you just want quick, cheap sushi, but if you're looking for a meal you'll genuinely enjoy, I'd probably recommend going elsewhere.
