I came here for a farewell lunch for a co worker. I haven't been to Cracker Barrel in maybe 1.5 years. At that time the food seemed ok, it was another location too. I thought the Old Timer's breakfast looked good and I usually order a new like this to get a good variety. Nothing about this meal was good. I also was supposed to get my own biscuits and gravy. They brought a basket and shared it with the table. I didn't expect this since it was meal specific. I asked the server about it but I didn't want to make a fuss. Heard about this place and seen it around a couple of times. It was a random choice, (and a gift card), that brought me in. A little gift shop + eatery place. Simple old school breakfast dishes. Portions are serving sizes, which is great if your craving a light breakfast but don't feel like cooking. I got the Grandpa's old country breakfast/Fried steak. I enjoyed it, I just wish I got a little more potatoes (I enjoy potatoes a lot), + 2 eggs. Perfectly size dish, I didn't feel over stuffed or that heavy/comma feeling after. I would chose this spot over Denny's, the food took awhile, but nothing to be upset about. Now the Beignets, hmmmm they're an interesting little sweet pastries, but not a "Wow I need some more." I have never been to a Cracker Barrel - it looks old school but is surprisingly with the times!! They had QR CODE for their menu AND to pay! Around 6pm on a Monday my party of 2 got seated right away! Our server Aaron was super sweet and really gave us a great experience. I absolutely love the pancake tacos. The pancakes had a perfect, signature crispy edge pancake that I love! The eggs were cooked over hard with bacon and stuffed with a blend of cheese. Instead of the hash browns I went for the fried apples. The fried apples were served hot with a fresh apple cooked in cinnamon. So good! I had a boozy brunch so I tried the Peach Mimosa... honestly very, very sweet syrupy peach and then they give you a small bottle of champagne. A good quality champagne, more dry but a little sweet! The gift shop was really adorable with tons of cute clothes and souvenirs, candies and snacks. They currently have a huge Christmas display up in with lots of decorations for purchase. She takes the time to know here customers and chats to see how we are doing and how the day is going. She has great customer service and communication skills. The front of house guys are amazing too! Cruz and Todd are very friendly, courteous and have great customer service skills. Always have smiles on their faces and willing to go the extra mile to help the customer out. country chicken was good but got my side orders wrong, then Mac and cheese was cold and the green beans were mush. it was so slow took half hour or more to get our food. and this was at 8 pm at night with little to nobody in the place. then the register decided to stop working only on our check out. Good breakfast options. They seated us fairly quickly, and the service was really good. The food was tasty, and the drinks were made well. I got the sugar glazed ham and it was surprisingly VERY good!! Tender, good flavor and NOT salty at all, which was a nice surprise. They have the option to pay your check with a QR code, instead of waiting on line to pay or waiting for the server; very convenient. We had a large party. We reserved a time and table for 9 of us. When you first walk in, you will see the gift shop full of lovely gifts. Snow globes, ornaments, candy, stuffed toys, jewelry and so much more. They carry extra large sizes of candy. See the photos where we put a dime to show the size. When I arrived I gave my party's name and the staff member directed me. The place was packed with patrons. We had a long large table and were comfortable in our area. The menu is large so allow yourself plenty of time to review it. Breakfast is served all day. Lunch specials are included on the insert. So many choices! Some people ordered Mac and cheese, chicken and biscuits, and meatloaf. I ordered Momma's Breakfast Pancakes. That comes with two eggs, two bacons or sausages and three pancakes. I asked for plant based sausage for an extra charge. They have Impossible brand sausage. The wait was about 25 minutes and given the number of people, it was understandable. My order came on two plates! The pancakes were as large as the plate. A small bottle of syrup accompanies it. They were light and tasty. The sausage and eggs were good too. I love the sausage. I shared my pancakes with my table mates. Water glasses stayed filled. Next time a smaller meal is in order. Our server Chelsy R was great! Kudos to her service and making our lunch enjoyable. They will give you separate checks if asked. When you get your check, you can pay at the table by scanning their bar code on the bottom of the invoice with your smart phone. They take Apple Pay or credit cards. We all decided to take care of the checks before leaving. It was simple. They even have a tip chart so no need to figure this out. I wasn't really sure what to expect from Cracker Barrel because we don't have any in California, but wow, this was a great experience: food, service and the fun atmosphere. I was very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of our very nice server as well as the speed of service. All the breakfast food was very good to excellent, with the highlights being the fresh biscuits, grits, pancakes (sort of grilled) and the ham which was a cross between baking and salt pork...super delicious. We've always enjoyed dining at Cracker Barrel but something has changed. Along with more expensive meals, the portions seem smaller, and they've got a different cook in the kitchen. What was once our favorite fried chicken is now an over breaded, salty, peppery disappointment. The biscuits were flat and underbaked, the corn dumped straight from a can. The atmosphere is fun, the server took us to a table in the corner and we requested sitting near the fireplace. Despite not many customers we were told there wasn't a clean table available. True, the nearest table was cluttered with dishes, we asked for the next closest table and sat there. Very disappointing. read more

I used to love coming to cracker barrel. The pancakes have changed and so has the atmosphere. To start we were sat pretty quickly and so were two other parties right after us. I'm not sure if the server has no experience or if there was a lack of communication but we waited for ten minutes for her to take our drink order after she took everyone else's (we were a party of 2). Finally we decided to order all at once when we realized she may not return. We ordered around 10:40 am. Around 11:05 ish we noticed everyone around us started getting their food even though some arrived after us. The server comes to tell us that our ticket got lost in the kitchen and that the manager would come over to talk to us. At 11:10 the server finally brought out our food and emphasized that the manager should be out soon to talk to us. We ate after watching everyone around us receive their food in a timely matter . Finally, our server tells us that the manager is too busy and does not have the time to come talk to us (we saw him roaming aimlessly multiple times). This is not the cracker barrel I remember, and on top of it all we got a nasty stomach ache. The food tasted great, just did not sit well at all. Cracker Barrel is the restaurant of the south. It encompasses good, southern food and atmosphere. I got lost in their store lobby once leaving and my $17 meal quickly turned into a $80 outing!!! The service was great (shoutout to waitress Anahi) and quick, the little peg game they have on every table is a must-play! I got the bottomless strawberry lemonade which was amazing, a bit sweet but nothing a little lemon squeeze or water can't fix. I got the two entre sampler with meatloaf, chicken and dumplings and then mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well! We like to go cracker barrel for breakfast every so soften for past 10 plus years. I've eaten at this location for several times... I always order the same thing.. Grandpa country fried steak, hashbrown caserol, eggs. Well they were pretty busy today but not too bad since the wait was only 25 mins.. But unfortunately today my order came out all jacked up.. First my silverware was dirty. So i had to ask for new ones. My caserol was cold.. Not warm but cold. Took one nibble and didn't touch it again.. My country fried steak.. Warm and soggy.. Looks like mine was made first and sat there for a while.. Told the waitress. She said sorry and asked me if I wanted new ones. I declined since I didn't want to wait longer than I already have. Let the waitress know that I know it's not her fault.. But what annoyed me after that was manager never came by. I'm used to good service where if your food comes out bad manager would come and talk to me.. I wasn't looking for free brunch.. Since I ate them all. Minus caserol... So i was more annoyed. Toper of the Toper... I see manager gal in the gift shop area.. I asked her is she was a manager and she said she was a "regional" manager.. So i explained to her what happened and she said oh I'm sorry... I also explained to her that I was not happy with manager not coming by and that these new servers now days don't like to tell manager about bad food executions. She asked me what the name of the server was and I told her I didn't know.. She then proceeded to tell me. Do you want me to get the food manager... I said whut? She said she is in charge of gift shop and not the restaurant side.. Wtf kind of crap is that.. And why did I waste my time talking to her. I said no... I don't need to talk to her.. When you're craving an unhealthy breakfast at 3 in the afternoon Cracker Barrel is the place you want. For about $12 each we were able to eat pretty decent steak, eggs, grits, biscuits & gravy, hash browns and some delicious sweet apples (Country Boy Breakfast). Service is hit or miss. Be warned that it's not the cleanest place. Parking is easy and the people are friendly for the most part. We like to sit at tables near the window. The decorations are interesting and sometimes we have found cool stuff to buy in the gift shop area. read more

eating at this location a few times none in past 2 years. Today heck no. I waited 15 minutes for the lady person to talk to me okay she was busy. She then advised a 15-20 wait for a lunch table for one, bear in mind I arrived at 1252pm so most working folk already headed back to their jobs. That means 1/2 hour to get a table and another ? 10 minutes for a server then another 15 minutes to receive my lunch meal...so nearly a hour from say hello to eat food for $22 with tip likely unless I wanted more to eat a Trout meal. Make it worse she was a ....tch. 'try to be patient and nice'.. i left...not ever again and they need to get her a job in the gift shop she has no people skills. read more

Went to CB last night with a friend. I had a gift card I needed to use. I'm from Tennessee I lived and was raised up close to CB Headquarters. Most of the CB in the South have better food and services. Once you start adventuring outside the South CB begins to start losing the flavor and service that it was built on. Our meal was cold and very dry I had the veggie plate, not much flavor. The cornbread was cold and wouldn't even melt the butter, I ask for hot cornbread before our meal. The server brought the cornbread out to us in a basket with no saucers for us to eat it in before our meal came out. Enough said won't be back. Will advise you to go elsewhere. I was going to give them one start but the hostess who greeted us was friendly, funny, told us about the sales and was just great This was our 1st time trying Cracker Barrel. Personally not a fan. The food just wasn't up to par for me with the amount of time it takes to get a table. We made a reservation online and when we got there we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table to be ready. In the meantime we shopped in their store inside. I will say that was my favorite thing about this restaurant which is why I am giving the 3 stars. They have a lot of cute decorations and clothes that you will not find anywhere else. There are different candies you normally don't find anywhere else too. I would come back just to shop here. Once we got taken to our table it was still dirty with plates, I guess they didn't realize. So we had to wait off to the side while they cleaned it. During the pandemic they did have the tables spread apart so you aren't too close to anyone else. I ordered a breakfast plate and it was just very basic. No flavor, no appeal, not filling. The biscuits and gravy were very dry. My daughters mac n cheese tasted really weird she didn't eat it.
