Horrible customer service! After I dropping off a prescription at the Wilshire/Western location and being promised by the pharmacist there it would be ready in an hour, I got a call 2 hours and 15 minutes later from CVS stating there was a problem with the prescription. The pharmacist said she would call the doctor to remedy the situation but that I would need to wait another hour. I don't live next to that location so I just picked up the prescription and went to a location closer to my house. I went to the 3rd/Fairfax location and some middle-eastern/light-skinned south asian guy with a wannabe "Rock" beard told me there was an issue with the prescription. He said I should come back the next day. I told him the doctor who prescribed the medication was an urgent care doctor... thus the office was open for him to call. While he was calling, I told him that I had a problem with a different CVS filling the prescription and he said, "What did you think would change by coming here Mr. _____?" I wasn't in the mood for his passive aggressive b.s. And then he said, "Is this an emergency?" It wasn't heart medication but his attitude was appalling. After being made to wait almost three hours with no action on CVS's part to filling my prescription except for telling me to wait or come back... I was very annoyed. CVS has very poor customer service. Don't go here if you have a choice. read more

This place SUCKS! I normally don't like to start my reviews off completely negative or with a strong statement like that, but that's how I truly feel. I've worked across the street from this place for almost 8 yeears, and I continue to get the worse service here EVER. It was a bit better when it was still Sav-on but it still sucked. What's wrong with this place you ask, let me tell you. First most of the people who work here are 100 years old. Ok maybe not that old, but way past retirement age. And they are clearly not happy to be there. Ok I can understand not liking my job, but does it have to be so evident everytime I go in there. These employees don't give a damn about anything. I mean anything. I once stood in line here and watched the woman behind the counter just burp repeatedly without excusing herself...um...gross. Last week I had to make a quick stop to pick up some alcohol for a holiday party, and the cap wasn't on the bottle and when I picked it up off the shelf, Irish cream splattered all over me. I went to the first employee I saw to ask for assistance, and she referered me to the front. I explained that they had liquor splattered all over the aisle and on me. So I walk up to the counter asking for a paper towel or something to clean off the spilled liquor on me and the old biddy tells me that I need to talk to a manager. I then lose my patience and explain that I'm covered in this crap and just need something to get it off and that someone had referred me to the front. She then looks at me and says go to photo. I then reply um are you standing right next to photo and I'm dripping irish cream here do you think you can just get the paper towel for me?! She then takes 2 steps grabs one square of paper towel and just before she hands it to me she asked if I opened the bottle of liquor. As even tempered as I could I explained again that no I didn't and that it was already opened and had splattered all over me. She then gives me the one square and I storm off. I go back to aisle to see that no one has addressed the mess. I put my other items I was going to purchase away and ran into the first employee I asked for assistance, she asked if anyone helped me and I told her that I was bounced around only for 1 square of paper towel and that I was highly annoyed. All she said was sorry. Yes, you're sorry, the whold damn store is extremely sorry. Second, this place is very very very slow with everything. Sometimes the line from the front is halfway to the pharmacy. Even when you pick up something from the pharmacy it takes 18 years to pick it up because their so darn slow. I'm not sure why everyone here is so slow. Third, they've mixed up more of my perscriptions with other people. It's happened more than once or twice. That's ridiculous and dangerous. That's so not cool. I would never ever go to this location of CVS if I could help it. But on occasion I need something and it's convenient, the convenience is taken away when you have to deal with the above mentioned BS. If you can help it please don't give this place your business, because they absolutly blow! It doesn't even deserve the star it got...if it gets one its should be rusted and old like it's employees! read more

Had some serious issues with a pharmacy tech here. I called to get an RX filled, and he told me I "wasn't in the system". After insisting I was in the system and had a prescription to fill , he finally found me. Subsequently, the pharmacy didn't have what I needed in stock. Next, I initiated the process to transfer the prescription to rite aid. Then rite aid called me back and said CVS says that they "can't find you in the system". I'm sure the same guy answered the phone when rite aid called and said that I wasn't in the system. Moral of the story: a pharmacy tech answering the phone doesn't speak English well enough and doesn't know the alphabet well enough to find my name in the system. The end impact is delayed medical care. This is a hazard to patient health! read more

I normally go to the CVS on Cahuenga but for one particular prescription they didn't have in it stock and told me to try this CVS on Fairfax. The man working at this time (3:30 Monday August 25) told me I'm the 3rd person that's called about this medication I suppose and hung up on me right in the middle of me asking him a question on how I should go about this issue? I'm pretty caught off guard at how incredible rude and disrespectful that was. I just walked back into my CVS on Cahuenga and decided to wait for my refill instead of having anything to do with the one on Fairfax. That was an experience. read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy I have ever been to. Parking is a nightmare--you often have to circle the lot for 15 minutes to find a spot. The line to pick up prescriptions is always long and moves slowly. Numerous times I have been told that my prescription would be ready at a particular time, and have returned to pick it up well after that time only to find that it is not ready. The pharmacy staff are often incredibly rude when you seek help with issues with your prescriptions (including an individual pharmacy staff member telling you your prescription would be ready in 15 minutes, only to return over two hours later and have that same staff member claim it still isn't ready). If you go here, you will receive terrible customer service. I highly recommend filling your prescriptions at any of the other nearby pharmacies. read more

Secondly, who the f*ck do these workers think they are? The two women I had the utmost displeasure having to interact with both seemed to have sticks shoved so far up their asses, likely the cause for their total rudeness, my entire mood shifted and now I'm just angry. Literally, you're going to not only act completely clueless and not even take a second to try and understand what I'm trying to ask you, you're going to stand there and act f*cking judgmental like it was somehow unreasonable to walk in here and want to make a return in the first place? Also, I made these purchases a while ago and seemed to have made them with a gift card I'd been given, so don't look at me like it's insane that I'm not immediately recognizing the last four digits of the card used. YES, I MADE THESE PURCHASES. THE CVS CARD I USED IS MINE. LOOK IT UP. Please. I'm truly sorry you're so miserable, but don't bring that sh*t to work and don't allow your horrendous aura of misery to rub off on the customers that you're supposed to be helping out. Look, these guys have a tough job. Sometimes in the early hours there is only one pharmacist running the entire desk, and I'm sure the guy I dealt with this morning did not imagine answering annoying phone calls all night when he studied to become a doctor of pharmacy. I also don't think its fair to complain about long lines etc, that's just a function of how long it happens to take to finish each transaction and how many transactions happen to be occurring. I wouldn't even care about the lost prescriptions--I'm just going to assume that must be part of the territory. What is really frustrating though, is the attitude the gentleman working this morning copped with me as a result of his mistake. When he didn't see the prescription, there wasn't even the most feeble of attempts to be helpful. There was no "did you make sure you did xxx?" or "do you want me to xxx?" He just insisted I must have the wrong pharmacy, despite the fact that it was an automatic refill on something I've been picking up for months. At some point he changed his position to stating that it wasn't due to be refilled for 2 weeks, but the obvious incongruity with his previous statements did nothing to temper the condescension with which he delivered the new excuse. He eventually stumbled across the already filled medication simply because I was persistent, so I suppose he deserves some credit for not choosing to lie and just pretend he still didn't see it in order to save face...that's something. Everybody makes mistakes, but you can't combine a mistake with unabashed arrogance. If you are going to be SO willing to treat people like idiots before acknowledging even the slightest chance you could have possibly erred, and you're going to do all that while actively making mistakes--at that point you're just doing a poor job of being a person. read more

I don't think their curbside pickup is ready for prime time. Tried their introductory offer of $10 off my order. Got a text telling me when I arrived I should text them. Did so and got a text saying someone would be with me shortly and to turn on my emergency flashers when I saw the CVS employee. 15 minutes later, I get a call from inside the store asking me if I'm going to come in to pick up my order. Huh? Two stars because the order was correct and the employee was polite when he did finally bring it out to my car. read more

I came here to get a flu shot, it was a quick in and out. The pharmacist or technician was there. They took me to the side and just gave me the shot. Overall pleasant experience. I can't say that I love CVS is pricing, I feel like they are more expensive than other drugstores. Their customer service was fine. I gave four stars because of their pricing. read more

Warning!! Warning!! Stay away from this Pharmacy. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I never once went in here to get my script and had no problem. There was always some complete mess on their part. Wow stay away stay away. My wife and I transferred to longs near the Beverly center. And to out horror they are now a CVS. And guess what, they now suck. When it was longs I had ZERO problems. Since they switched over, it's the same old horrible service. Now I have to find another Pharmacy because I can' t deal with it. Awful pharmacy and customer service. It takes forever to get them on the phone and they've messed up my prescription twice. I spoke to someone who told me they would call my doctor for my refill. I asked if I would get a call back confirming that everything went well and they said yes. Hours pass and I call back to discover the pharmacist couldn't reach my doctor and instead of letting me know that, they just went about their lives. Never again. This is a conglomerate chain that only cares about profits, not customer service. Why else would a CVS store pop up almost every mile complete with employees who are inattentive? I went in to buy three 24 pack Arrowhead water bottles. First, the carts available were smaller than normal and appeared to just be slightly larger than the ones available at the grocery store for little children to use as if they were shopping. I looked for the larger normal size carts but I saw none. Needless to say I had to take 2 carts to place all 3 packages. When approaching the cashier (there was no one in line) the female cashier was more interested in talking with the younger male employee then attending to my order. There was no one else in line. Whatever happened to "drop what you are doing and attend to the customer"? The female cashier finally started to check the items. When leaving, the cashier at the self serve area (also without any customers to attend to) asked me if my car was close by. I thought it a strange question but then when at the door, it became clear. The miniature carts are not to be taken out of the store and there is a long rail sticking up that locks at the door preventing you from taking the cart out. I asked her how am I supposed to carry three water packs all containing 24 bottles? Then she took the cart and tilted it so the cart would pass the automatic door. I tried to do the same and after two attempts I finally got it. Instead of calling for help to take out the merchandise to my car, the cashier was only interested in me bringing back the carts as she asked me three times, "will you bring the cart back?" I told her that the store had a silly and inconvenient method of allowing customers to get their items to the car. If CVS is concerned about losing carts, they should implement a policy where an employee is available to walk you to the car. The second female cashier said there was no one in the store to walk me out. I will never shop at CVS again. If I could, I would give it zero stars but my review would not post without a rating. read more

If accuracy in filling prescriptions & privacy (you know, following those privacy laws) are important to you, do not go here. Pharmacy tech guy did not know there was a generic for my prescription. I had to clue him in. And, anyone who says you don't have to wait is crazy. Bad experience dropping off my prescriptions, and also picking up. Already transferring the rest of my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Also, when I called to complain about the privacy issues they have (yelling my information across the pharmacy), they gave me attitude. The response was a sarcastic "oh, should we build a separate room?" ummmm. all I'm asking is that my privacy is at least attempted and that they make a small attempt at following HIPAA laws. read more

I'm pretty sure this CVS has such a low rating because of the parking, but really, that is not the store's fault. Plus, this is easily avoidable if you are able to go to CVS during off hours (say, after 8pm or before noon). This is entirely possible as this is a 24-hour location. The store itself is massive. They are very good about keeping the shelves stocked as well, as it is fairly rare that I have gone here fore an item only to go home empty handed. The new layout was a little confusing at first, but you get used to it. Plus, I appreciate the addition of self checkout kiosks, as it has somewhat sped up the notoriously long waits at this location. read more

This CVS is open 24/7 and is located in a strip mall alongside of some boutiques, Kmart and Wholefoods. The CVS is open 24/7. So if you need to pick up a prescription late, its not a problem. The pharmacy staff is very nice and helpful. They have a very large beauty section too. There are panhandlers in this lot. This is a problem throughout the city, but I have to mention it anyway. read more

The staff work diligently to process each and every order in a timely manner. They also field questions from both the patient and doctors office while trying to make sure that insurance has been properly applied. Second time going into this cvs this evening. The first visit the pharmacist barely looked at my prescription and walked to the back and said "we don't have it". I went back in because the hospital said that the pharmacist should have offered to call the hospital to see if there was another option. I stood waiting for the pharmacist walked who passed me twice and when she finally recognized me she asked the male associate who didn't move from in front of her, if he was helping me. He searched for the prescription and found it sitting on the same shelf the pharmacist looked 5 minutes before. Terrible experience, needed this prescription for my sick child in the car. read more

Oy. Don't bring your photos here. Brought it in for one-hour and was told it would be a week (!!) but I wasn't in a huge hurry so I left them there. Four weeks later, I still don't have my photos, and they say they don't have the number for the place that that is doing them but that it "sometimes takes longer than four weeks to get in" so just come back in a week, and another, and another...kill me. read more

I am getting really frustrated with CVS. I go there, because it's convenient and I travel a lot so like having my prescriptions easily able to fill wherever in the US I am. My experience lately though is that the customer service in the pharmacy is atrocious. When you call in, they put you on hold in the middle of conversations, don't take the time to look into things and never follow up on refill requests. I regularly have to follow up again and again to get things done. They also get frustrated easily and tell you things have been done or are not done when that is not true. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the renovations have been very nice and it is so convenient. I miss the days of the mom and pop pharmacy when they actually cared. read more
