Top Notch. I have been to DC a few times so it's time to take the average for an appropriate review. Short and sweet of it, excellent food (I have tried many different things but steak and/or scallops are go to). The staff is amazing, I brought my sister and dad from out of town here and they were very impressed. I normally eat at the bar top, as I did tonight, Morgan, coffee guy (Danny), James, and Austin all performed excellent and make great drinks. Jeff is the manager and very respectful and easy to chat with. In fact he makes conversation with every patron and makes sure they are good. This is the second time we've gone here in a month and it was absolutely amazing both times. In December we went for my husband's birthday and then today we went for my birthday. The food is absolutely incredible. The service was even better! The manager even took his time and came over to make sure we were enjoying our food and recommended the most amazing Irish coffee. We celebrated a golden birthday at DC and it was a good evening. However, the staffing was low but very friendly. "Ricki" was great and knows the menu!!! We had the tomahawk special. It was cooked exactly how was ask for but the cut quality was about 3 out of 5 with too many fat and tendens. The bar dining areas was cozy and not too noisy. We went on Sunday night for a wonderful dinner at DC Steakhouse. Easy to find location with convenient garage parking. Atmosphere is wonderful, service is excellent. Food was superb. I had lobster and filet, my husband had pork chop. Both were so tasty. Such attention. to detail all the way around. Nice crisp salad and great warm bread. A few weeks ago I booked a reservation online for brunch for three on Easter Sunday. The time was 1:00 which was perfect. When we got there and I checked in I mentioned we had a reservation for brunch. The response was we aren't having brunch today but we have a brunch special. I told this young lady that I made the reservation because it said it was for brunch. We sat down and looked at the menu on the table and the brunch special was steak and eggs. We did not want that or any of the other dinner type options. Not having had breakfast we were really looking forward to a brunch. We decided to leave and walked out which left us scrambling to find somewhere else to go. What irritated me the most is that it was booked for brunch and in the three weeks and days before they could have contacted me to say they were no longer serving brunch that day. They texted me to remind me and then to confirm my reservation though. So we ended up next door at the Stillery because it was convenient. Then we saw that the DC steakhouse was serving Brunch through Mother's Day. If you decide to go I'd call them multiple times to confirm. As for me no second chances. read more

We came here for good steak and seafood. We certainly did get that and more! We wanted to order an appetizer and asked the waiter their recommendation which was the calamari. The calamari is a must try! It is so flavorful and so much better than other calamari I've tried - trust me I've tried a lot, it's one of my fiancés favorite food lol! We really enjoyed our steak, it was cooked well. The lobster was a bit salty for my liking. As I was eating it I was chugging water because it was overly salty. This was a little disappointing as I opted for the bigger lobster instead of steak. For a $400+ dinner it was ok. I give them 0 if possible. Terrible. Such a disappointment and let down. We were excited to come here after trying several steakhouses in north Phoenix and Scottsdale. Love the fact they don't require masks. Very busy. Seemed like the place to be. Unfortunately that's where it ended. First, the owner open the sliding glass door at the bar and hit the entire back of my arm and almost knocked our drink over. Second, we got our steaks. Terrible quality. Not cooked correctly. We ordered medium rare. The steak came out medium to medium well, yet was cold to the touch (like not fresh of the grill) so you can tell was over cooked yet sitting around for a long time. One of the owners tried to tell me it's the lighting. She said the reflection off of the glass window. Give me a break, like I've never had steak. We go to Steak44, Mastros, Prestons, etc. I know a good steak and a properly cooked one. After they tried to offer a new one (after 5 minutes of her trying to argue with me that I don't know a good steak and nothing was wrong with the one they gave me) I would rather have gone to Texas Roadhouse or something. I took 4 bites, every bite was chewed and terrible. I even had to spit a piece out (picture attached). Last, after her and her husband knew this was unsatisfactory, they sent their front of the house manager over who tried to justify charging me for a steak I didn't eat. Then he took it off, but continued to charge me for the salad and baked potato that comes with it. I said we'd pay for one steak and not the other (even though my dates steak was cold as well) yet he was still petty enough to charge for a baked potato and a sloppy side salad. Terrible. Came here when I was visiting and had dinner with my brother and mother. We had a round of red wine for the table, fresh bread with butter, and lobster Mac and Cheese to get started and it was all delicious. I had the NY steak, and it was cooked perfectly medium rare, I asked for some horseradish and it added the perfect kick. I put chives and sour cream on the baked potato, and it was amazing. I would definitely order it all again and I rarely ever eat red meat. The inside is very dim lighting, nice ambiance, and it was fairly packed on a Saturday night. I have heard many great things about DC Steak house and chose to give it a try for date night. The ambiance was nice and for sure a great place for date night. We really enjoyed the service we were provided from our waitress. She was friendly, relatable and well educated on the menu. We started off with an appetizer and a couple Cocktails; shrimp cocktail, Moscow mule & creme brûlée cocktail, not realizing that every order came with a salad and the portions in my opinion were pretty big. The shrimp were delicious, pretty big and tasted so fresh! My partner enjoyed his Moscow mule, me on the other hand, was not a fan. It was way too sweet for my taste buds, I only had two sips and did not drink it. My partner ordered the filet med rare and I ordered the lamb chops med rare. The filet was pretty rare versus med rare. Luckily my partner enjoys steak and said it made for a good left over steak and eggs. My lamb was pretty on point but I wasn't to happy That I wasn't able to replace my potatoes for vegetables. I don't eat potatoes so it was unfortunate that wasn't an option. The atmosphere was not very lively and our server Teresa was very erratic overall. Not very friendly and not very helpful and when we asked if we could substitute a side she gave us a firm NO! This is suppose to be fine dining but it was anything but that. We ordered a bottle a good wine and had so much trouble getting the cork out that she wanted us to look away and then she went somewhere else to finally get the cork out. Then after the initial pour into our glasses she didn't come back to pour again until we were out of wine in every glass. We asked a busser passing by if we could have a server. 5 minutes later a server finally came to our table, we ordered our drinks. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. My mixed drink was terrible. It was supposed to be a strawberry daiquiri, but it tasted more like a strawberry lemonade. 2. Food: overpriced, over cooked, over seasoned. I ordered the special, sea bass. $65 It tasted more like over seasoned (too much salt) over cooked cod. It was over priced, not gourmet at all. My dad ordered lamb. He could not cut into it because it was so tough. He had it taken away, and replaced with the filet. He did not eat with us because of this. The establishment did comp one wine, but they made sure to charge him for the filet, and not the lamb. They should have charged for the lamb which was a little less than the filet. My mother ordered fish.....it too was over cooked. I wanted to complain about my meal and drink, but it was my mothers birthday dinner, and i did not want to cause a scene, especially after my Dad having a bad meal and us waiting so long for service. My husband's dinner was lack luster. He mentioned he gets better steak at San Tan Flats, theirs tastes better, is thicker and comes with better sides. Recently dined here for Happy Hour. Service was perfection. The two bartenders were personable and provided great recommendations. Love the food and ambiance, but sadly, VERY disappointed that there is a credit card fee. Would not have expected this from a fine dining restaurant. Credit card processing is an operating cost and should not be charged to a customer. We live in a non- cash society. You are a profitable restaurant based on your prices and full dining room, I find it a bit greedy to charge the guest. I'm guessing your average check is over 100.00 per person. Not many people carry that amount of cash on them. At minimum, you should post that clearly on your website. read more

First of all I'm glad they were able to take us in for a reservation of 14 on the same day. We made the reservation for 8:30 and got seated around 8:45 which was no problem. We sat and service was not the best. The food was good, but a good portion of the steaks were either over cooked or undercooked. I got the pan fried lemon chicken and the pasta that was with it was probably the worst food I've received, it was very peppery/tangy and just overall, you did not feel good after eating it. We were seated in a side room and the people located behind us was very noisy and loud it wasn't helping how we were in an enclosed space neither. All in all, it wasn't the best experience at DC Steakhouse but I would be open to come again just not as a big group read more

February 14 - time for our annual Valentine's Day dinner with our special friends 50 years +. We selected DC Steakhouse in Chandler, AZ. We arrived at 4:30 and were promptly sat in a booth. Water was brought immediately. Our waiter was excellent! He explained the menu helped select our wine and allowed us a few minutes. We started off with an appetizer of calamari. After our appetizer was finished our waiter took our dinner order. The two men selected the Ribeye steak served with potato choice and a house salad (I ordered the Caesars salad in lieu of the house salad.). The women ordered shrimp and blackened Salmon. Our salads came first and everyone was pleased. The steaks arrived later and were cooked to perfection. The six shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. The Salmon was pink in the center with a nice blackened crust. After a nice meal we topped it off with a lemon sorbet which we all shared and was a perfect ending to a great meal. The evening ended at 6:30. There was never a push to turn tables. Our total bill was $250 - $310 with tip. Of course we took our annual VD picture and can't wait to see what next year brings. A review is long overdue! I love going to DC because of the overall experience. I love the new location, it's so beautiful inside and is the perfect setting for any occasion. I went for an early birthday dinner and they were so accommodating of the changes my party had made. We appreciate the amazing customer service! Now onto the food.. I was so happy with my choice of surf and turf. Everything was cooked perfect and the drink recommendations were perfect. You can tell the server was enthusiastic about being there and it made us feel so welcomed. My friends all got something different and each plate was better than the next, made us want to order more.
