Nasty, under cooked, Country Fried Steak & Eggs

The food was horrible!!!!!! If I can give this place a negative 0 I would. I order the country fried steak and it was horrible! The taste was unbelievable. I got the country fried steak and the inside of it looked like death when I cut it open. I also got Mac and it was hella watery! Wasted 60$ on this bs! It was under cooked, the side of biscuits was undercooked! Everything was just nasty and watery!

As someone who suffers from insomnia, I often go to sleep hungry. On the days I forget to eat, I stop by Dennys for my late night/early morning dinner. Ordering online is a breeze, but today I decided to dine in. I was afraid of running in to loud people but patrons and staff were courteous. My server Luis was helpful and friendly. My burger was excellent and so were the fries. I really enjoyed my dining experience and look forward to coming back.

    busy kitchen at 11 pm!

Best Dennys yet. We arrived at around 11 pm to be seated with a surprisingly busy atmosphere. Our server Kimberly was OUTSTANDING - not only did she greet us with a warm welcome but throughout our dining experience we watched her juggle 6 different tables, the register, and to go orders! The chocolate banana pancakes were crispy and fluffy, with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg + hash brown + bacon on the side. The burger was phenomenal and actually matched how it looked on the menu - thick, juicy, and oh, so flavorful!

Per my 10 year old grandson, this place is amazing. He ordered chocolate chip pancakes and the premium chicken tenders for breakfast. He loved it. He also won a stuffed animal from the machine!! Highlight of his day! Lol! He said they were so yummy and tender and juicy. I ordered the grand slam breakfast. My eggs and pancakes were perfect, everything was hot and crispy, the decaf coffee was yummy. Our server (Melany)!gave us excellent service! It was busy because it was Father's Day, but they didn't make it seem like it was. Everything ran smooth, we were never rushed and she was kind and professional and remembered everything we asked for. Thanks Melany and Thanks Denny's! My grandson gives you a 5 star review! Happy Fathers Day!

The service wasn't great because the servers or at least who looked to be the manager was very stressed out and projected that onto the customers. Which you never do. Service with a smile. Don't make the customer feel like they're an inconvenience to you. I ordered scrambled eggs it was about two eggs that were scrambled with some mushrooms and spinach. Came with a very small piece of French bread there was processed packaged butter on the side. we asked if they could just make a simple French toast and they said no, only the specialty types that they have on the menu. I didn't understand that? I mean if you are making a specialty type of French toast don't you have to begin with just regular French toast? I asked him if I could get a side of toast for my eggs and they said that they don't have toast only that French bread. What kind of diner doesn't have toast or the capabilities of making toast? It reminded me of a movie scene with Jack Nicholson. Honestly to spend $17 for two eggs a few potatoes a small piece of bread it's just not worth it.

I was wondering if they will be able to deliver that more of a home field rather than corporate breakfast places but we all know so well. I was greeted by warm staff that look like my friends Moms got together to make sure that they feed their kids. Everybody smiled and everybody cared, and it was really good filling to be around them. The prices were seemingly reasonable, considering that omelette was almost $16 and it came with everything you would expect omelette to come with. Home potatoes were delicious as well! The atmosphere inside is humble and very clean, with rather regular booths, that are easy to get in and out, with some curtains on the windows that had that warm country feel. I really love this place, I will surely go back there, and I suggest you will give them a chance!

The waitress recommended it when I upgraded to the combo and I tend to listen to the people that work there. They know what's up. That patty was the best sausage I have ever tasted. Tasted like it came right from the butcher then onto the grill and onto my plate. Fresh, fatty, salty and some unique spices inside it. Eggs were fluffy and my coffee got filled 3 times. The seating is limited so come early or try your luck with the wait. They do turn their tables over pretty fast though. Staff is quick. Highly recommend this spot.

I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

Came in with a small group early on a Wednesday afternoon maybe an hour before closing, and most of the tables were still filled with diners. We were seated right away in the way way back of the restaurant. The layout and decor of the place gives it a classic, borderline kitschy vibe. You can tell it's a place that's managed to hold its own for like 60 years (!!!). The server was friendly, overall service was prompt, and the portions were solid. I got the quiche of the day, which was ham and cheese, and it was amazing. It came with a side (salad was fresh and crisp) and a muffin -- their raspberry streusel muffin was so delicious and a perfect dessert to tie the meal together. I would definitely get this special again, and look forward to trying their other versions of both quiches and muffins. Others at my table got strawberry pancakes, a pastrami sandwich, and chicken fried steak. All food was devoured, so I take it that it was good. Under her breath but very clearly she said ... because I see there was no tip written on the visa!!! Little did she know that we were leaving a cash tip! So unprofessional! I felt so pushed!
