What can I say,... It's Denny's. I noticed on my check in they offer a free sundae for a 5 star rating. That defeats the whole Yelp thing. I was desperate for breakfast on a rainy day. No matter what time I go there, the food is always excellent. It arrives hot and the wait staff is extremely friendly. They know to cook a great steak too. The price is excellent too. All Denny's are pretty much the same. Average food, average service etc. This location is no different but I was super disappointed to find that there was no baby changing table in the restroom. I mean I assume that Denny's are a family restaurant and would make one a basic installation but there was nothing. So just keep that in mind if you have a young child. The server there named Christian is a straight dawg . We call him jasper cuz he reminds us of jasper from twilight. And he's tight because he goes along with it. Chill and nice guy and always likes to have fun with us every time we make jokes . Always made us feel comfortable the last few times we came by and checked up on us constantly. Good food at a good value consistent with the other Denny's we have eaten at. What makes this Denny's outstanding is the Service which was FAST and great! Our server, Lorenzo patiently explained and double-checked everything and got the food out really quickly. He checked back again multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything else. I left my $400 phone on the table early one morning and when I came back for it ten minutes later it was gone. There had been only a few people in the place when I was there and they were far away from me. When I spoke to the manager he said nothing was turned in and acted like he really didn't give a damn about my lost item. I know someone there has the phone. What I care about most is all my documents that I had on it for work, the phone itself can be replaced. I don't know how a business survives when the staff has horrible customer service. read more

This Denny's location... The waitress... Gosh... My boyfriend and I went to this Denny's to eat one late night and everything was nice. The waitress was nice. Food was okaaaay. But things took a different turn 10 minutes in. First off, the waitress likes to call me sweetie and honey, and let me tell you that I am a sucker for pet names when it's coming from sweet older people. I just don't like it coming from creeps! But that's a whole different story... ANYWHO, yes. She is a very nice woman. But things got INCREDIBLY uncomfortable with my boyfriend and I when she started talking about God and Jesus. ALL CUSTOMERS BE AWARE IF YOU DECIDE TO EAT HERE! I visited this Denny's on 11/22/2013. As you are entering the front of the restaurant there are two double class doors. Each door has Denny's advertisement facing the outside. I would say the advertisements are 3x2. Well as we enter we sat down and ate. The service was slow due to the fact not enough employees working. The waitress did her best. When we finished our meal and paid for the check we were walking out the front doors there was a Los Angeles County health food inspection report on the inside glass. The Denny's banner was hiding the Los Angeles County food inspection report from the outside world. The sign was at eye level and it hit me square in the face. The Los Angeles county health report was for improper food temperature. Does Denny's have to scoop that low and hide the Los Angeles County food inspection report so their customers don't see the report as they are walking in? Every customer has the right to read the report prior to entering the restaurant. I called Denny's corporate office @ 800-733-6697 and spoke to Kelly @ Ext. 8697 she took my compliant down and also told me that this is a franchise restaurant and the owners name is Camille Schullz and she can be reach at 866-712-0864. I told Kelly that I would not YELP or go to the Los County health Dept. till I see how Denny's handles the issue. Well since Denny is so slow or just don't care in correcting and returning my call I have no choice to YELP Denny's. It's been 3 days of my compliant and still no call from any Denny's representative. Today 11/25/2013 I called again and they told me that the District manager (John Siddern) or Camille will be contacting me. I also told Kelly that I would like a full refund however I do not want the tip back. I felt the waitress did her best to serve us. The next call if I don't hear from a Denny's representative is going to be to the Los Angeles County Health Dept. and yes I do have pictures. read more

Throughout my undergrad, this was a popular place to go to after performing in a concert since this is one of the few places open late at night. I always have to give props to our servers since we do always come in a pack of at least more than 5 people! The service here is generally better than the one in Lakewood, on South Street. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. The food is usually pretty good. If there is one downside, the customers tend to be ruder and more obnoxious that at the other Denny's or other restaurants I go to. Loud conversations, rude behavior, shaking in their seats which are attached to yours if you are sitting in the booth behind them. It must have something to do with the location. Not much Denny's can do to fix that. read more

I am so impressed with Denny's for their all out recognition of Veterans on Veteran's Day yesterday. The staff was so friendly. The restaurant was decorated with balloons and flags everywhere. They gave away flag pins to diners. Service was excellent!! Staff works hard to maintain Covid requirements. Food/coffee was great! read more

I gave up today. I get unenthusiastic, ice cold service here very time (maybe because I keep getting the same server). No refills on water - unless you ask. No smile or warm greeting ever. BUT what sealed the deal today was being seated a dirty table. She at least noticed it was dirty and proceeded to wipe it off with her hand. But there was still a dried coffee spot on the table. Not terribly gross... but just enough to make me walk out and drive to Carls Jr. In fairness, one time I had a different server who was friendly.... but seriously I got better service in the Carl's Jr drive thru.
