My wife and I with our oldest daughter dropped in for lunch to this breakfast and lunch place. It's a wide open space concept with booths on one wall, a wall length bar on the other and tables in between. Has what appears to be a larger family table flanked by sofas on either side. Place was busy and for me anyway, fairly loud. One person's loud voice can echo in there for days. Place is open for breakfast and lunch so keep that in mind. The place seems to be run by younger folks who are quite nice, but seem to make the ambiance feel more like a youngsters hangout than a local sit down place. At one point they were very loud congregated by the register in the corner of the bar. Good to see young folks enjoying their time at work but there should still be some decorum.... The menu appears to have a fairly traditional breakfast slant highlighted by some signature hash brown bowls. Other side of the menu is their brunch (salads, hamburgers, avocado toasts, kids menu) and it looks to cover a lot of bases as well. The Reubens caught my eye, my teenager ordered the country-fried steak breakfast, and my wife chose the cheeseburger. Country fried steak was ok, it's not fresh-made from scratch and looks to be a processed job. The sunny side up eggs came back very liquid around the yolks (not gonna be too tough there as those are tough to get right) and the hasbrowns were under-seasoned making them very bland. The solution on those were either ketchup or Tabasco sauce for us....LOL...It made for a fair meal but that's about it; sour dough bread one of the choices for sides was pretty good. Runs $15.00 and I'd have to say a dollar or two higher than the value I'd put on it. Cheeseburger I thought was fine. My wife thought it to be dry. A shining moment for my wife were the fries as she said that's about the best thing on the plate. Twelve dollars and I felt it was OK value... but my wife might argue...lol....she did have a point that the bun was way too big for the burger which never makes a good impression. I had high hopes for the Reuben as it mentions the corn-beef made in house. Runs $15 but I'm afraid they could do a better job in how they serve it. I don't know the value of such great corned beef if it is drowned in cheese and butter; so much so that it dominates the sandwich, trumping even the thousand island and sauerkraut, which should be noticeable sidekicks. It seems like a grilled cheese with a side of corn-beef instead. The bread so soaked by butter that it makes your hands greasy....I think it's an easy fix but surprised they let it get through the pass that way. The service from ordering to receiving the three plates was about 26 mins so seems to be a bit longer than it needs to be for hamburger, eggs, reheated country fried steak, etc. A couple of missteps by our waitress forgivable but also helps in the lower rating for me. Total bill after taxes $45 and we left another $8 for the assist. Overall very nice folks and I hope they can make the little adjustments that would be needed to raise the level of food we had there.

First time here and the food was great. The hashbrowns were the best hashbrowns l've had at any breakfast place. They were both crispy and fluffy at the same time. All ingredients are organic and you can taste the difference. We will be coming here regularly.

DIX Special!!

Breakfast was amazing. Crispy hash browns did not disappoint! I will try pancakes next visit but they looked amazing. Family owned restaurant and can tell with the love put into each dish I saw going out. Really great coffee as well. Service was outstanding and very clean restaurant! Can't wait to try all!

It's was our first time here and the pictures don't do them justice for how beautiful and relaxing the environment is for breakfast. Classical music plays and there's open space to have nice conversations. Our waitress Madison was very nice and checked on us appropriately (not too much, not too little) and she had some cut cat ears for Halloween spirit. The food portions were large so be prepared to take some home and the Cali Toast was flavorful and yummy. The hash browns were more like tiny chunks of potatoes but still good and more than I could eat. This is also one of the only places that has breakfast open until 3pm whereas others close at 2:30pm so that's an added bonus for us and we'll be back again!

This was our second time giving this place a try and will definitely be our last. Unfortunately the food here continues to be an overly expensive disappointment. My husband and I both ordered the country breakfast to go. It gave no place while ordering to ask what type of eggs you would like, so we were stuck with fried eggs, fine for me but I prefer mine over easy and these were over hard, and my husband does not like fried eggs and would've preferred his scrambled. The "hashbrowns" are tiny diced potatoes that are the most bland thing I have ever tasted. I do enjoy the style in which they're cooked but they are completely void of any flavor at all. Both of our biscuits were small and undercooked and crumbling. And we were shocked that for $15 it came with only one very small biscuit instead of two. But the most egregious part of the meal is the sausage. The thin cheap 'McDonald's' style breakfast "meat" in place of true sausage when you're paying this much is unacceptable. The restaurant is cute inside and close to home, the service was timely after ordering and correct and for that it gets 2 stars instead of one, but the food and prices are just leaving so much to be desired.

The service was really good. I loved the decor and vibe of the restaurant. The fruit was fresh and everything had great flavor. Will definitely be back!

The staff was very nice, and the restaurant very clean, but there are no breakfast combos that include pancakes and eggs.

They sat 2 6-tops prior to us, plus numerous other larger groups. Having worked as a head host in the restaurant industry before, at first I thought it was because they all had reservations and were just before us in those, but as they sat ~15 groups before us, I started to notice we were being neglected. Even standing right in front of the hostess station. We were sat finally 45 minutes post reservation. (55m total wait time - the day before Mother's Day, with a reservation scheduled 3 days before.) Chelsea our server was phenomenal, the food is always good, high quality and made with care.

As you can see from posted pics here on Yelp the restaurant is classy with a brasserie ambiance and vibe. We elected to be seated in one of the very comfortable booths across from the attractive bar with its red, upholstered swivel stools. My wife opted for a glass of Pinot Grigio and I a Sazerac. The Sazarac was OK, but overpowered in this pour by the bitters (and I'm one who loves both Angostura and Peychaud bitters. I drink them both straight whenever I have a slightly queasy stomach and enjoy them straight). For starters we shared a bowl of French onion soup which on this chilly early winter morning was a comforting and savory start to our brunch meal. My wife went with the eggs Benedict and I decided to try the Oeufs en Cocotte, a dish I encountered here for the first time ever. The eggs Benedict, my wife reports, was excellent. Perfectly poached eggs, large slices of a tender and flavorful ham over a croissant-like puff pastry that had been split and grilled to perfection in butter on the flat top, topped with a nicely done Hollandaise sauce. Happily for me, she left a half of the butter grilled pastry. It was divine. Likewise the Oeufs en Cocotte, eggs poached in a shallot cream sauce, was heavenly. Cannot wait to enjoy this again! Perfectly cooked eggs in a flavorful, steaming hot, shallot and cream sauce. So good. Our server was perfectly attentive and very helpful, answering clearly our questions about the preparations of the dishes. So looking forward to our next visit.

Also, the friend we took one of thost times wants to return already because the beef bourguinon was still cooking when we were there. We have really nice experiences in Parker Square in general, but this was definitely a highlight. Friendly, welcoming servers and a neat atmosphere. Menus seem to change frequently, which is a good thing. My dad had the eggs in cream... when he gets quiet and doesn't say anything about his food, it means it's really good and he doesn't want to share it... when I stuck my knife in it and tasted it, that was confirmed, it was deliciously creamy and garlicy. I had the souffle the first time and the French Dip the second time. My mom had a smoked salmon salad and really enjoyed that. Go for brunch, go for lunch, go for dinner. Yummy!

After she served my Dos Equis, she got me a decanter of water. I ordered the Lomo Adobado and glad not to have gotten chips and salsa. It was a tremendous amount of food. I do not recall the last time I received both rice and tortillas, so I was not too disappointed being provided only two tortillas. The additional salsa was not spicy and not necessarily as the marination on the pork was sufficient. The asparagus were a pleasant surprise since it was not mentioned in the menu. They were out of the Meomi Chardonnay but he brought out a substitute that wasn't on the menu. It was a nice light Chardonnay that went well with the food. My oh my this place is something else…read more.. My husband had a work conference here at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center so we packed our bags and my toddler and I came too. I was looking into pictures of this place and was so confused as to what was the resort and what wasn't. There's no way all these pictures that look like different places can be all in one place... well my friends... it is. As we pulled up, I realized just how big this place is and I got really excited to go inside and finally figure out what's what. This place is gorgeous. Part of it looks like a lodge, part of it looks like a mall, part of it looks like a convention center... because it is, part of it looks like a hotel, part of it looks like the riverwalk, etc... and yet it all blends together seamlessly. There are 4 main restaurants, at least 2 bars, two coffee shops, one is also a marketplace, shops that sells clothes, a kids store, an arcade, a spa, a gym, a FedEx business center, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, another restaurant down the street that is also part of the resort, a water park down the street that is part of the resort... I'm FOR SURE forgetting something... or multiple somethings. There's no way to do it all in a week while also attending a conference. So we didn't hit up everything. It's okay though, my toddler mostly wanted to just walk around. Nonstop. There's plenty to see by doing that. There's a scavenger hunt that you can do, a virtual animal safari, model trains that we stopped to watch multiple times, a mini Build-A-Bear Workshop right in the middle of things... I'm telling you, this place has it all. We arrived on a Monday, left on a Friday, and didn't have enough time to do and see everything. We ate at 3 of the 4 main restaurants. We tried to eat at the Riverwalk Cantina - and I was admittedly most excited about that one. However, the first two nights they were having a buffet. We wanted to order from the menu. We said we'd come back. The third night my husband had a business meeting at the steakhouse so that was a no go. The fourth night we went down there to eat... they were closed. Getting ready for a private event. *sad face* We left the next day and never got the chance to try it out. Things are a bit pricey, but you pay a convenience fee, and the fact that they literally had everything we needed in one place without leaving the resort was just that... convenient. So I wasn't complaining, especially with a two-year-old in tow. Even the option to have food delivered to your room was great since I could order breakfast to be delivered before my kiddo woke up for the day. The room was nice. It was pretty modern and spacious. We were on the first floor so it was also convenient. We didn't have a fancy view. It was a side parking lot, but the fact that it was part of a block of rooms reserved for the conference meant that we weren't expecting a room with a view or anything. I slept comfortably, but brought my own pillow which I believe was a big part of my comfort. My husband said the typical hotel bed was too hard. It wasn't as enjoyable of a sleeping situation for him. I could've stayed longer and been just fine lol. Anyways, I know this review is very long and I'll cut it off here, but I will say that there are so many more things I could say, but you just have to experience this place for yourself. I will review the restaurants we tried separately. Texan Station Sports Bar & Grill Zeppole Old Hickory Steakhouse
