descriptive. Clearly well thought out. After contemplating what I should have, I ordered Chili Cheese Tots, Das Brat, Little Mule, and the Borracho Breakfast Burrito. The breakfast burrito was the last minute decision; it's only been on the menu for a few months. I just had to try it. The Chili Cheese Tots had a little bite and were tasty. Das Brat still had a great aroma as I took it out of its wrapping. Nice bite to the sausage and great pairing with the soft King's Hawaiian grilled bun. I ordered it with everything. That was a great decision. The condiments added to the full flavor... hot mustard and sauerkraut was definitely a good pairing. The Little Mule was an unexpected surprise. The burger had a great flavor and the two cheeses, white American and cotija, grilled jalapeno, and fried egg with Chipotle aioli created a burger that one wants to order again. The Borracho Burrito is loaded with fresh scrambled eggs, a nice bite and filled with smokey bacon flavor. This breakfast burrito has ingredients that make it special for any time of the day or night. There are so many different variations of food available at the Dog Haus, I'll definitely be a repeat customer. Great customer service, great food, great innovations on their menu, and a great atmosphere. No need to look any further to enjoy a great time.

breakfast burritos are legit. They give local fave Bbad on Colorado a run for their money, and are possibly a better value. I usually order on their app for pick-up. Their rewards program is quite nice with frequent promotions, a big reason for my fairly frequent visits. The service at this location, however, is not a strength in terms of friendliness. It's the food and perks that keep me coming back.

It's a nice, chill place with some specials on different days. The hot dog was interesting because they use Hawaiian bread for it. If you know anything about Hawaiian bread, it has a little bit more of a sweeter taste. A decent hot dog and a nice, chill atmosphere to just kind of hang out and watch the game.

I frequent this fast-casual place fairly often. It's a large nationwide chain, surely franchised. There are 2 locations in my town, one is a Biergarten with a full bar, the other (more convenient) one on Hill Ave serves wine and beer and has easier parking. They mainly serve burgers, dogs/sausages, chicken and breakfast burritos; there are multiple varieties of each, and all are quite substantial. The burgers and dogs are served on King's Hawaiian rolls (4 per burger, 3 per dog). I'm partial to the Little Mule burger, the Sooo Cali dog and the Impossible Cali burrito; the Cali dog and burrito have avocado, which I love. This location just recently started opening up early, a good thing because their breakfast burritos are legit. Dog Haus is located at 105 North Hill Avenue Suite 104 Pasadena California 91106. This location is one block North of Colorado Boulevard. The building is on the West side of Hill Avenue. It houses a number of small boutique eating establishments. There are a number of outside tables along the side of the building. Upon entering the double doors, I was greeted with a friendly hello. I had a number of questions about the items on the menu, which is extensive. They seem to have everything - hot dogs,sausages, chicken, burgers, breakfast burritos, bowls, and sides. There is something on their menu that will make everyone happy. Take the time to read the entire menu. It is very creative and descriptive. Clearly well thought out. This place used to be high quality when the original owner Shant owned it. Quality has drastically decreased. They charge an arm and leg, yet cut corners on every avenue. They took away Coke and brought nasty RC Cola. Their ketchup tastes like nothing, like literally nothing. Instead of the original bacon strips, they now use soggy bacon bits like they're feeding a dog lol. The burger used to have bacon strips and the Downtown Dog used to be a bacon wrapped dog, NOT BACON BITS!!! This is what happens when you start franchising.

Came on a Saturday around 515pm. No one was in the store. I bought the roadside slider for $1 off for happy hour deal and came out to $7.70 after tax for 2 sliders. The normal burgers are $11.99 before tax and are honestly so much more worth it. This specific location has abundant seating both indoor and outdoor but no tv's if you wanted to watch the game. Customer service is subpar. The worker (man with the beard) taking my order was distracted/multitasking with someone on the phone who didn't sound like a customer (Was telling them I love you over and over again) and he was distracted when taking my order. I asked him a question about the roadside slider happy hour burger and he pointed me to the menu rather than explaining what was in it as he was talking to his important phone call.

Are you craving for loaded hot dog? Are you looking for good quality happy hour food? This is the right place for you no doubt. Cool and welcoming dining environment. Staffs are friendly. I got their famous cowboy dog, the smoky bacon is so flavorful and topped with crispy onions. It's just so delicious and satisfying.

First time eating here and pleasantly surprised by how good the food turned out! The Tex was extremely well balanced, with a slightly spicy sausage covered in crunchy coleslaw, flavorful pickled jalapeños (not spicy) and a sweet pickled pepper on top, all within a perfectly toasted Hawaiian bun. The Holy Aioli sliders were juicy and had the right amount of onions and cheese that wasn't overwhelming. The tater tots were super crunchy! They could have used some salt right after coming out of the fryer, but dipping them in ketchup did the trick. The location felt like a bar and had plenty of seating available with Windows that looked out onto the street. Ordering was super easy and we happened to be there during happy hour, which gave us $2 off the sliders.

10/10. This place never disappoints. Burgers are made to perfection. Ingredients are always fresh and high quality. Tater tots and French fries are crispy and delicious.

They lie about their price. I ordered today and i noticed that on the register i was being charged 10.99 rather than the 8.99 posted on the menu. I asked why and the guy just said that they haven't updated their menu board and it's being ordered. I just checked online on how much it will ne if I order online and it shows at 8.99. Beware, always double check. I regret that I even tipped then.

Also a bargain at $10, considering there's a preposterous business down Colorado who is charging $18 for theirs .. think of that: $18 for a breakfast burrito

Terrible service straight off the bat.The manager had a cocky "better than you" attitude that did not make my kids and I feel welcome. He spoke to me in a low volume as if I was wasting his time. He even watched my son like a hawk to ensure he poured water into his water cup instead of soda. Yuck. Food was actually decent but we will not be back to this particular location. read more

Hot dogs really do not get enough credit for being in a CLASS of their own! Dog Haus offers a twist on hot dogs in every way you could imagine and the Hawaiian rolls instead of regular hot dog buns is GENIUS. I prefer any place that provides you with the option to top your dog with whatever you want! Service was great, food came out in about 10 minutes, and I left very satisfied. read more

This location in Pasadena on Hill Ave is my favorite location. They have an outdoor eating area and you can enjoy the view of the mountains while you are eating a delicious meal. The staff are very friendly and welcome you when you arrive. Great service. Dog Haus has a variety of delicious food. My favorite is the cheeseburger with an extra patty and fries with nice cold refreshing Coke. Yeaaaaa totally not a fan of this location. Met with a hella attitude off the jump. I was the only one in the location ordered a burrito and idk who or what position this Joe was but he called my burrito to the cook as a family of 3 comes in. I was waiting hanging out and the family of 3 got their food before me?? I went in as they were chowing down looking to see if I missed my name but no there I saw they were just starting my meal?? Idk the processes but no Doghaus treats me like this and then makes me wait 35 min for a burrito. Smh read more

Solid food and an amazing selection of beers. They use hawaiian buns which makes the food sooo satisfying. The reason for the lack of 1 star is because the atmosphere was a bit rowdy with the way the space is set up, and the buns kept falling apart and we weren't given utensils, like they also could've used a big hawaiian bun instead of 4 smaller ones. It's a small thing but really important when you're starving and can't eat the burger properly. read more

My wife and I went to the Pasadena location today. The guy behind the counter gave me the impression that he would have rather been somewhere else instead of there. I don't think I saw him smile the whole time we were there. He did clean a table when I asked him and he did come around to ask if everything was ok. The food was good. My chili dog had great flavor. Excellent customer service at this location. We got a few dogs as well as sweet potato fries and tater tots. Our food took about ten minutes to come out. There is so much seating here, so it's perfect for lunch or dinner. I would note that it was pretty dim for dinner time, but maybe that's the look they were going for? Who loves the Dog Haus? Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof woof! We were in old Town digging through antique books and grew hungry so we made our way to the dog haus. Here's the skinny: The space is adorable The prices are reasonable The food is goooOOOoood! I had a bacon wrapped all beef dog ohemgee ohemgee ohemgee! Sooooo good! Hubby had a phenomenal sausage and our friend had a burger. And instead of buns sandwiches are served on lightly toasted Kings rolls. (Did I say ohemgee?!) We were in the mood for hot dogs so we dropped by on a Friday night. The place wasn't that packed and the line was moving relatively quickly. They have plenty of seating inside and in their outdoor area. My husband and I didn't realize how big their Haus Dogs were and ended up getting two each. They use King's Hawaiian buns so I was definitely excited to get my grub on! I got the So Cali and the Old Town (minus the bacon) with the all beef dog and I loved the Old Town the most! It was spicy but sweet because of the bun. The So Cali was good too but NOT as good as the Old Town. My husband got the Downtown without the bacon and the corn dog (super basic as you know) and he liked the Downtown a lot more. My son got the Kids sliders and devoured them as soon as they got to the table. Overall, this place hit the spot for the hot dog fanatic that I am. Let me be frank: A beef dog / sausage on a grilled King's Hawaiian roll is perfection! I highly recommend skipping the ketchup and ordering sweet pickle relish on the side. Relish today, ketchup tomorrow! Sooo Cali (Sub beef dog with smoked veggie apple sausage) * Smoked veggie apple sausage was quite dry in the center and slightly charred on the outside * Spicy basil aioli added just a little heat * Crispy onions added a crunch and intense flavor I can go onion on about how amazing the fix ins were...arugula, avocado, tomato, sweet pickle relish... Old Town (No cotija cheese) * The hot dog itself was juicy AND it was wrapped with smoky bacon! * Caramelized onions were tender and sweet * The sweetness from the onions paired well with the heat from the generous amount of chipotle aioli * Pickled jalapenos were tangy, spicy and sweet Hot Diggity Dog, it was spicy and delicious! I'm going to try the new Karrage Kid Burger today with fires, Coke, and a Haus Cookie. I'm hungry at the moment so that's why I got all this food. The employees are very helpful here. 4 star for the food. It was my first time to try their food and I ordered "Cowboy". It's a bacon wrapped hotdog with crispy onion and I forgot the other stuffs that comes with it. Food was really good and I think I will be back. 1 star off because I noticed one of their staff was rude to the other customer. The guy (a customer) was asking something and the staff just tried to quickly dismissed him. She also turned her back to him while the guy was still asking about his order. I know it didn't happen to me but it still leave a bad taste to see that kind of attitude. read more

This review is limited to this location only! I like Dog Haus except this one and only because of the guy at the counter that generally exhibits a hatred for working there. Like other reviews have mentioned, I would drive to further locations so I don't have to order from him. That's how much I do not want to interact with the guy. He makes you feel as if you owe him for ordering at his establishment. We are in 2024 - learn some customer service or maybe tattoo a smile on your face. LOL. read more

BYO- polish dog w/ mustard, sweet relish, fresh chopped onions and sauerkraut. And the Hawaiian bread. First timer here. But I read reviews and knew the bread was the sweet Hawaiian. It definitely changes the entire flavor. Not sure I like the sweet bread with the hot dog. It definitely was moist and fresh. With the sweet relish, the bread made it it too sweet. I would skip the relish next time and let the bread be the sugar. Overall it was 8/10. Or 4 stars. I would suggest offer regular or Hawaiian bread as the bread option. I'll try it again skipping the relish and see if it earns the 5 stars. It is worth the try for sure. Update- I came back, I tried the all beef hot dog and held the relish. I loved it. Worth trying this place out and creating different flavors till you find one you like. read more

It's not that big of a deal, but I just hate shady things. It's Cheeseburger Week so all the burgers were supposed to be 6.99 per the Pasadena city website this week. The cashier said corporate told them otherwise, so fine whatever. The regular menu states the burger is $8.49 regular which with a $1.50 discount as shown on the receipt would equal 6.99 however they up-charged the burger prices to 8.99 so they're clearly not 6.99 even with tax. I pointed it out but she claimed it's with taxes..no but I'm not going to argue over it..SHADY SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES! read more

As part of Cheeseburger Week in Pasadena I selected the Dog Haus to to sample the local cuisine. I approached to place my order and I asked about Cheeseburger Week. He pulled out a flyer showing a double patty burger special. It was interesting to me that there was nothing posted in the restaurant about the week long event or special. It was a secret I guess. Anyhow, I ordered the special. The burgers are served on King Hawaiian rolls. I love these rolls because they are soft and sweet. They add an interesting flavor to the burger. I chose the cheddar cheese and they melt the cheese across the burger versus just throwing a cold slice of cheese on the burger. The burger tasted ok, average i would say. Nothing to really write home about. I also ordered the tots and they tasted like frozen tots. Again, nothing special. Their Cheeseburger Week special set me back $10.62. Overall an interesting place, but I should have selected a dog versus burger. read more

Food is good. Service not so good. Tonight I ordered in person, left a standard tip as usual. However this is the third consecutive time my order was screwed up. This time they forgot to prepare my order. People behind me in line had been getting their orders before me. They only started to cook when I brought it to their attention. They were wonderful, but recently has made changes and got rid of some favorites I used to get in the past. It's a nice quick place to grab a hot dog or chili if you're craving for it. They finally serve beer at this location. They aren't too bad to eat. Any tator tot food is delicious. Inside seating is okay. Parking is behind and below the resturant. read more

Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

Turns out the drink actually comes completely unsweetened, which is usually a good sign, and they leave bottles of simple syrup on the side for you to mix in yourself. But even after trying to balance it out, the base tea leaves just taste cheap and bitter rather than smooth. It feels like they are relying way too much on the clean, minimalist aesthetic of the shop instead of sourcing the real deal. Absolute skip if you are a true matcha fan.

They were a nice size, tasted good, and the staff kindly cut them in half for us, which we appreciated. The yakisoba, unfortunately, was much sweeter than I prefer and wasn't my favorite. Overall, the service was the highlight of our visit, but the food didn't quite meet our expectations, especially considering the price.

I'd been driving by the location of Dog Haus regularly while they were putting it together, because I love hot dogs and have been looking for a truly epic dog in Pasadena. Today, I drove by and low and behold there was an "OPEN" sign all lit up, so I walked in. Little did I know that I'd be having the pleasure of being their first customer. I can assure you I won't be their last. In fact I'll be returning many more times. It's got a really cool feel, great food and a very nice staff. The kielbasa was cooked to perfection and the blue cheese sweet potato fries were out of this world. My friend had the freiburger (burger with fries and coleslaw on hawaiian bread), which looked epic. He said it was awesome. One of the owners brought us a sample of their chili, which was also very tasty. I can imagine how great it tastes on a dog or as a frito chili pie, which is a hot dog stand classic i used to eat all the time when i was a kid--bravo Dog Haus! First time visit and, unless someone else buys or there is nowhere else to go, probably my last. Its not that this place was BAD, on the contrary it had a modern, minimalistic vibe with a nice patio. Bonus points for being next to the fountain. However, I had the Hangover burger which was mediocre at best. Thin patty (which tasted alright), Wolf-brand chili, 2 pieces of unflavored bacon, and an overcooked egg on 4 hawaiian rolls. Again it wasn't bad...but for a $7 burger I expect a little better. Boyfriend had the downtown hotdog. The bacon lacked any real flavor but we gave it props for not being extremely greasy. We shared an order of sweet potato fries and honestly this is where I felt the most ripped off. I wouldn't even count it as a full order of fries from any restaurant- it might be a half. Which was really sad because those fries could've easily been the saving grace of the meal- great flavor and crunch. $20 later and we didn't even get drinks! If your boss/friend/whatever pays, then go. If not, spend your money elsewhere. You can get better food for a better price at tons of places. read more

Who has time or the desire to write a review? This place deserves another one. This is one of the few places I can go and be happy with the $10 to $15 I spend on just myself alone. The food is very good, high quality. Consistently good. Excellent service. If its not right? They'll make it right. The Chilli Cheese Fries are a meal unto themselves. So delicious. I've have gone to this place many times with different people and they all either like it or love it. I wasn't a fan of the bread they use, it smashes down into nothing and its a bit sweet, but really, it doesn't subtract from the food. This place seems to be going very corporate as they're opening up 50+ franchises for the first time, so we will see how long it takes before this place turns into another Profit-over-quality business. I hope it never changes. Highly recommended. For now. I also like the music they play and the fact they have some early 80's arcade machines. read more

This place has the most insane menu, there are so many items that are so easy to recommend because it is all so delicious! It is definitely not somewhere that you should go if you are watching your weight or if you plan on doing any exercise afterwards because the portions are pretty damn big. I prefer the hot dogs to the burgers, and my favorite has always been the classic reservoir dog. Relatively simple compared to some of the other items on the menu but I keep on ordering it because it is pretty much perfect. The sweetness in the Hawaiian bread fuses with any ingredients you choose and it is just an awesome and unexpected mix. I think that this place would impress any foodie unless they can't handle the heat. Also I wouldn't consider this place date friendly unless you're pretty comfortable with them because you will probably walk outta here with some chilly on your face and a handful of napkins! read more

Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of hot dogs. I enjoy one, especially from the NYC carts, every now and then, but I wouldn't say I'm it's biggest fan. However, lately the desire to eat various styles of hot dogs has interested me because it jazzes things up a bit. The Restaurant Wonderfully clean, open, inviting staff, and simple yet bold decor. The bathroom, although there is only one, is clean and tidy. You walk in from the back door and you are welcomed by loads and mounds of King's Hawaiian Bread! The Food I had ordered a Downtown Dog. It was packed! The red bell peppers overflowed, while the mixture of mayo, mustard, and ketchup accented the sweetness of the peppers. The bun was soft and delicious. The hot dog was thick and juicy. I have been coming to this fantastic establisment since they opened. I drive roughly 40 miles to come here once a week and yes there is one near me now but it is no were close to as good as the first and original. Everything here is off the charts good i love the so cal dog amazing flavor profile. The love boat is amazing but i always ADD CHEESE and with TOTS instead of Fries the best sliders i have ever had so tender juicy and everything is on Hawaiian bread GENIUS!! The managers are always on top of their game mad props they make sure everything is on point employees are very detailed and work hard they have a open kitchen SO SMART. I had never heard of this place until i had it today thanks to my cousin so I would like to begin by saying thank you very much to him. Now for my review, being the avid hot dog and burger eater that I am this place was just flat out amazing, due to their broad selection of hot dogs and burgers. I ordered the B.L.A.S.T. hot dog and every bite that i took of my hot dog i was thinking wow amazing i want more and need more! Food quality was amazing. As for the atmosphere, very clean inside simple seating very nice. And finally for the location, it was in a pretty nice location with a pretty good amount of parking. I highly recommend Dog Haus to everyone. If you are a hot dog eater do not even hesitate to go to this place. Easily 5 out 5 stars for me! read more

The Dog Haus is not like any other place I've been to, Its quality of food, preparation of the food, the atmosphere and management is really well put together...Its not your ordinary Burger and Hot dog spot. Top of the line service and friendly staff..everyone is happy and the music played is 80's. When you go there, you will know for yourself, so go hungry because you'll order more than one item..guaranteed. Pretty disappointed that what they're calling "Plant-based" is not plant-based at all. Just the patty, or the dog is. But everything around it, forget it. Thankfully, the cashier told me all this, so I was able to google it, to find that the french roll is vegan. So I was able to each here after all. Still, it shouldn't be under a plant based category. Very misleading. Their happy hour menu is good. But if you are a strict vegan, just know that the fries and tots are cooked in the same oil as other things that are not vegan. I'm pretty sure the onion rings have some kind of dairy in them. Very fast-food vibe. Kids everywhere. A family place. Seemed clean inside. Lots of street parking around. read more

Management needs to straighten out their employees. I came here on a Saturday night and the workers were basically slacking off (i.e.: eating, walking around, chatting, and just working super slowly). When we got there, the cashier saw us and didn't even acknowledge the fact that we were there so we had to wait several minutes before she decided to walk to the register to take our order. While waiting for our food, I saw one of the workers pull out his phone to check something (with his gloves on), show his coworker his phone, and then proceeded to use the same gloves to continue making food. Gross! Our food took 20 minutes because they were just slacking off. Really bad service. read more

The place looks nice and the menu sounds delicious, but the service was T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon, hungry and eager to try a new place and the man who took our order was nothing short of impatient, dismissive, uncourteous, and not welcoming at all. We had a couple of questions about the food because my partner has some health issues and the man (he wasn't wearing a uniform or anything...maybe he was the owner?) could hardly utter a respectful word. I always rate the restaurant on my second trip just to give them the benefit of the doubt. What started as a bad second trip turned into a third and excellent trip. My second time there, I ordered to go and they forgot to give me my french fries with my order. In addition, I also lose my phone there! Turns out someone that works there mistook my phone for his and pocketed it. Thank God the staff is honest and nice! I went back the next day to see if I can locate my phone only to leave with my phone AND my fries that I never received. I also made a couple new friends. Food is great regardless what you get. The online order system is a joke placed and order online it told me to pick up in 11 min the order wasn't ready for 20min .. waste of time ordering online .. the only reply the staff had was that they don't enter the online pick up time personally .. well how about ensuring the order is ready or at least a priority or evapologize.. all 3 of which are within their control .!! My fav is the Hail Mary burger and chilli cheese fries One of the things that sets this place apart is that they use hawaiian rolls as their buns for the burgers and hot dogs. The items offered are pretty interesting and I've never before seen some of those combinations. I'm a fan of Dog Haus certainly. I really enjoy the specialty burgers that Dog Haus does. I love that Dog Haus puts there burgers on Hawaiian rolls, but they need to find a better alternative. The Hawaiian rolls are soggy and gross after about 3 minutes after you get the burger. The taste is phenomenal, but the construction isn't. I do enjoy the taste, but its just too messy. Stick with the hotdog if you don't want to deal with a soggy burger. read more
