Us with the Toyota Sequoia we purchased with Salesperson Bobby Mesina .

It was my friend's birthday , so we are on our way to church , and I remember seeing an add that there is a used Toyota tundra that I like in Dublin toyota , that is on the way . When we got there unfortunately the the truck was sold the night before , and luckily there was a Filipino car salesman that helped us , named Bobby Mesina and recommended another car , a Toyota Sequoia with the same engine like the Tundra. We ate not really ready to buy that day , but Bobby offered me a great price that I can't refuse , so ended buying the Toyota Sequoia , that we are really happy with. Thanks for your help Bobby . I will recommend Dublin Toyota , specially sales and Bobby Mesina to my family and friends.

I'll start with the TLDR update (since it's an exhausting review), though feel free to read-on w/ the detailed update below if you wish to feel my pain: TLDR: Advisor I've never worked with prior (following dropping off my daughter's vehicle for a check engine light) asked my daughter to sign off on a nearly $5k maintenance to "tear down the engine to investigate the head gasket." We of course were suspicious (this is a Toyota & why we purchased Toyota's for reliability), calling 3 other Toyota specialty shops (ALL who said ALREADY? & that this was very rare/unusual), with one of the shops (following comprehensive diagnosis) stating, "I can tell you with 100% certainty, your gasket is not the issue... Issues with misfires were isolated to loosely secured & oxidized 3rd party plugs & nothing more... Upon replacement/clearing lights, the vehicle has been running flawlessly for over a month... Detailed Update: My daughter's Corolla displayed a check engine light less than two weeks after scheduled maintenance at Dublin Toyota, where the vehicle had been previously signed off as "Perfect/No Issues." I performed initial diagnostics w/ my OBD2, which isolated misfires (primarily w/ cylinder 3) suggested checking/replacing spark plugs/coils. I scheduled service w/ Dublin Toyota for further diagnosis, with the vehicle managed by an advisor we've never dealt with before (I won't name him outright, since it doesn't matter anyway / "one bad apple"). Within a day or so, the advisor called my daughter directly to approve a $4,800 quote for a head gasket replacement. The advisor (after stating "I realize this is very rare"), warned that the cost could exceed $4,800 following engine tear-down (depending on what else they may find), sending links for financing options and following up daily with texts. They later trimmed $300 from the quote. These daily calls/texts felt like pressured sales tactics which raised a massive red flag. Despite being told by the advisor that the car was not safe/should not be driven, I retrieved the vehicle ($250 out of pocket for the "diagnosis") while the advisor was on vacation. The Dublin Toyota Report only mentioned a simple combustion leak test citing excessive hydrocarbons, recommending a complete teardown of the engine to review the gasket. I had contacted (3) other mechanics (all of whom specialized w/ Toyota & stated the same thing after relaying the Make/Model/Years/Mileage, etc..., i.e.: "ALREADY?" The independent mechanic we chose (master mechanic referred/trusted to by a close family friend) ran more comprehensive tests, including a seven-minute combustion leak test (revving to around 2500 RPMs) where the color never changed (remaining bright blue). Their high level report (though more tests were performed) provided the following feedback: * Block test determined no evidence of excessive hydrocarbons * Engine Oil = CLEAN * They stated that our coolant was completely full & typically drains quickly with head gasket leaks. * Spark plugs, however, revealed that one of the plugs was so loose they barely needed a tool to remove. They took side-by-side pictures of the plugs, with Plug 3 being discolored, and so loose that the engine was not fully sealed, stating that this would absolutely result in a misfire. * They also ran a borescope into Plug 3's bay (providing me with the video) and stated, "I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is not the gasket," stating again that the loose and corroded plug is the likely root cause (then swapped our plugs with Toyota OEM 90919-01275). * As an extra test, they even swapped the Cylinder 3 and Cylinder 4 coils as well (with the new plugs) and cleared the codes. It's been about a month since this service, and the car has been running flawlessly following the spark plug replacement, with check engine lights not returning. I am disappointed, and as a result, I will be finding another (now inconvenient vs local) location to service my vehicles. Shame...

I came in a month ago just browsing-still unsure of what trim and color. I ended up meeting Lance (the manager) who truly helped with the process and made my experience amazing and worth coming back. Unfortunately the car I wanted wasn't available yet. I worked with Bobby and was kept updated until the car I wanted was on the lot. When we came in, the process went very smoothly and even got a good deal! Lance and Bobby made my first time buyer experience memorable!

I had an excellent experience working with Najib aka Naj at Dublin Toyota. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful without ever being pushy. They took the time to answer all my questions, helped me find the right vehicle for my needs and budget, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Their honesty, communication, and customer service truly stood out. I highly recommend asking for Najib aka Naj if you're looking to buy a car -- they went above and beyond to make sure I left completely satisfied

Feeling truly grateful and blessed today A huge THANK YOU to Kuya Bobby for helping me get my new Tesla Model Y I've known Kuya Bobby for many years, and one thing I can say is that he has always been genuine, patient, trustworthy, and always willing to help. He made the whole experience smooth, stress-free, and exciting from beginning to end Special thank you as well to Lance, the amazing manager, for the warm accommodation and outstanding customer service And to Rohan from the finance department for making the process easy and seamless The entire team at Toyota Dublin was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your kindness, professionalism, and for helping make this milestone possible Beyond thankful for this blessing

I had a great experience at Dublin Toyota on Tuesday, February 3rd, thanks to Ricardo Villegas. I brought in my 2017 Sienna for an oil and oil filter change using my own supplies, and everything went smoothly. After the service, Ricardo was extremely helpful and professional, taking time to explain future maintenance needs and when to address them. I really appreciated the clear, honest advice. I'd highly recommend Dublin Toyota--especially Ricardo Villegas--for excellent service and customer care.

I have been coming here for years! I know, I know...a glutton for punishment. But hear me out! I bought a new Prius in 2012 from a different Toyota dealer. That's another story as this is a service dept review, although I will say I'd never buy a car from these guys (terrible experience) but they are close to my house so the service location is convenient. First few years, service was great!! I had the best guy! I can't remember his name but he was awesome! Honest pricing, up front about costs and what was included, never tried to upsell me on a higher service. Was really honest about repairs and what could wait and what maybe shouldn't. I always felt like he was looking out for me, not just trying to sell some extra service. I would rave about him! I always make my appts online, the website pulls up my records and lists all the service options I have, I check the box for the service I want and I schedule the appointment. Easy peasy! Then I bring my car in one time and my normal guy is not there. Looking back, he probably wasn't making a sales quota or something. They told me he didn't work there anymore. So this new guy starts giving me a crazy price quote for my service and I'm like wait, that's not what I wanted, I picked the service I want and he starts going on and on and upselling me and I don't know a lot about cars, so I'm like ok I guess. A $150 service is now well over $400....like what?? And then afterwards I look at what they did and they didn't "do" anything!!! Move the floor mats around and "check" a bunch of random crap! I just wanted an oil change and fluids topped off. My car runs GREAT, I don't need a lot of add ons. I think ok that's not gonna happen again! I'm going to stick to my guns! But it did, it happened several more times! I told you in the beginning, I'm a glutton for punishment! Each time they sell you on some "enhanced service" and it's a rip off!! I don't think they even look at what you checked you wanted when you made the appt. If there is something wrong with my car I'll know, CAUSE IT WONT WORK! They make you pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars so they can spend time LOOKING for something to be wrong, or slightly worn out, so they can charge you even more!!! And they will make you feel bad about it too!! So bad!!!! One time I flat out told the guy, I only have x amount to spend on this service and he was shaming me! Made me feel so bad! I started crying in Target when he called me to give me an "update" on my car. You might be thinking...why did you wait so long to write a review? Because I don't like writing bad reviews! I did email their customer service a few times and leave remarks on the after service survey they send out. But, today was the last straw...I had to write a review. I been putting off service because I hate them, but it's time and again it's close and convenient and they have all my records, which probably say "sucker" at the top. Once again I schedule my appt online and I check the service I want (see photo) $175. I like that this service says "check brakes" because my brakes were a little squeaky the other day and I do want them checked. It's probably time. I send my husband today to the appt with my car cause he's off and really I'm just SO OVER THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR CRAP, and I think maybe they won't do this to my husband. WRONG!!!!!!!!!! My husband messages me and he's like ok it's gonna be $641!! $641??!!!!!! I text back and I said "is that with new breaks?" and he said no just for the service! Suffice to say I went insane! Again the upsell from a $175, 110,000 mile service, up to almost $700!! I'm done! Really done. Last time. We want a new car too and I can tell you where I won't be going! It's sad cause I love a Toyota! Beware! They will upsell you on the most expensive service that does NOTHING but "check stuff" and they don't even act like you have options. Be stronger than me!! Stick to your guns! Or, just go somewhere else. Oh and the guy in another review that mentioned the coupons...it's all true!! Why do they even bother sending them out. In the 10+ years I've been going there a coupon has never worked! UPDATE: My hubs just left there. $136!! Looks like he held firm with the initial service I wanted AND maybe he got a coupon or they felt bad for him that I went insane...lol I'll still never go back!!

The hubby got a new bZ4X. He's been eyeing one for about a month, next was inquiring about it and talking to Bobby M. here at Dublin Toyota. There hasn't been a lot of inventory for the bZ4X but Bobby has kept us informed when they get any on the lot. Well, our persistence paid off. The hubby walked in to see if he could negotiate a deal - after about 30 min, they came up with an agreement so he was able to drive it home. Thank you, Bobby for your patience with my husband and your great service with a smile!

Most of us like to poke our heads under the hood and pretend we know what's going on, but we usually don't. The next logical step is a repair shop, and many people default to the dealership because they think they can trust them more. In my experience, that's a mistake--dealerships often touch ten things, fix one, and charge you for everything. Luckily, I found Rich and his team. I recently bought a newer car with all the bells and whistles, and I was braced for a huge bill. Rich was incredibly professional, polite, and straightforward. I was actually in shock; he takes the time to educate you on the repair rather than just grabbing your keys and telling you he'll text you later. The estimate was a pleasant surprise, and better yet, there were no hidden fees at the end. The amount he quoted was exactly what I paid. They were on time, efficient, and had me back on the road in no time. It is such a relief to find this kind of service these days. Jose was friendly and professional throughout the process. Unfortunately, the quality of the actual repair work was extremely disappointing and left me with the impression that the technicians lacked the experience needed for this job. I brought my car in to have all four door lock actuators replaced--a very common failure on older Hondas. I supplied four brand-new replacement actuators that I had already verified were the correct parts and functioning properly. Because I was replacing all four at once, I was offered about a 25% discount on labor. I dropped the car off first thing in the morning. About three hours later, while I was at work nearly 30 miles away, I received a call saying the parts I provided were incorrect and didn't fit. They told me they had left the door panels off so they could show me. I rushed back to the shop, only to discover there was nothing wrong with the parts at all. It took me only a quick look to confirm they were correct, and I plugged one of the new actuators in myself to demonstrate that it worked. Looking back, this should have been my first sign to take the car elsewhere, but I assumed it was simply an honest mistake. Later that day I received another call. I was told the rear actuators had been replaced successfully, but that both front door latch assemblies had supposedly "failed" and now needed to be replaced. This immediately raised red flags because there was absolutely nothing wrong with either front door before I brought the car in. The only issue was the faulty power lock actuators. When I picked up the car, the front doors were actually in worse condition than when I dropped it off: * The driver's inside door handle no longer worked, forcing me to roll down the window and open the door from the outside. * The front passenger door would only open if I manually held the lock pin up while pulling the handle. * I was still charged the quoted $550 (after the labor discount). Once I got home, I found even more problems. One of the front door panels had a tear in the upholstery, there were black grease smudges on the fabric and window, and the window no longer rolled up smoothly, likely because the door panel hadn't been reinstalled correctly. At this point, I no longer believed the diagnosis that both door latch assemblies had somehow failed at the exact same time they were replacing the actuators. It seemed far more likely that the door mechanisms had been reassembled incorrectly and the shop blamed the issue on "broken parts" instead of acknowledging a mistake. The next day I contacted Jay at S&R Motors in Hayward. He and his master technician inspected the car and called me later that day with the actual diagnosis. There was nothing wrong with either door latch assembly. They found that components from the latch mechanism had been removed and left loose inside the door. They retrieved the missing pieces, correctly reassembled both doors, and fixed the problems. When I picked the car up the next day, everything worked exactly as it should. Both front doors opened and closed normally, the inside handles worked properly, the door panels were correctly installed, and the window rolled up and down smoothly again. The outcome speaks for itself. The "failed" door latch assemblies that I was told needed replacement never needed to be replaced at all. The issues were caused during the repair and were resolved simply by properly reassembling the doors. I'm extremely disappointed with how this repair was handled and with what I believe was a misrepresentation of the actual problem. While Jose was courteous and helpful, my experience with the shop's technicians left me with very little confidence in their workmanship. I won't be returning for future service, and I would encourage anyone considering mechanical work beyond basic maintenance to carefully evaluate whether this shop has the experience required for the job.

When we picked up the vehicle last week February 11, 2026 (yes they held our vehicle for months), it was still making the exact same noise as the day it was dropped off. We immediately did a ride-along with their own mechanic, who confirmed the issue was still present. Because they were entirely unable to fix the vehicle despite being paid in full, their mechanic explicitly stated that if we took it to another shop, Old Town Auto Care would refund the cost of the repair. We took the vehicle to a second, competent shop. They completely repaired it and confirmed that the rear differential did indeed need replacement, which was the exact work Old Town Auto Care charged us over $4,400 for but utterly failed to perform. We returned to Old Town Auto Care with undeniable proof: the new invoice, the actual old part, and a letter from the second shop. Despite their blatant failure to do the job and their own mechanic's verbal promise, management is now outright refusing to issue the promised partial refund of $1,900. I have included pictures of my credit card charges from Old Town Auto Care as well as the invoice form the different competent shop who confirmed and fixed the problem as proof. They will take your money, fail to fix your car, and then refuse to make it right even when presented with hard evidence of their incompetence. Do yourself a favor and avoid Old Town Auto Care at all costs.

I really wanted to like this place and the nice woman at the front desk said they needed customers…read moreand I was excited to be a returning one. Called them when I needed an alignment at the last minute before a road trip. They said they could do it no problem so I took it in and was told it would probably be done around 5:00 which is their closing time. When I return to pick it up I was told that they couldn't get one of the eccentric bolts loose to adjust camber. By the time I got home I noticed that my steering wheel was a quarter turn off meaning it was turned sideways in order to drive straight. Then I look at my wheel which was pointing out at the top about an inch and in at the bottom an inch. I still had to leave for a road trip in the morning and like I said they were already closed when I picked it up. So I drove to Washington the next morning and by the time I got back from that trip a brand new tire was mostly ruined. Furthermore the suspension was making all kinds of clunking noises and I wasn't even sure if it was safe to drive on. So I called them told them exactly what happened with the steering wheel the clunking noises the wheel and you would think that they would be eager to correct the mistake for liability reasons if nothing else. But I was told they didn't have an opening until next week. So next week I go in on the day and time that she suggested and she said they were too busy today try coming in at the end of the week. I took it to a shop down the street that adjusted everything correctly had no issues doing it, corrected the steering wheel the clunking noise, and alignment itself all for half the price of what this place charged me. As far as I'm concerned they put my life in danger and we're too lazy or it was too late in the day for them to finish the job so they just said I had a seized bolt. If they want to buy me a new tire id be happy to take this down.

But Cort courteously helped us and said he will try his best to get it ready by 1 pm but no promises. Seeing how busy they are, I was surprised when they called me around 12:40 saying the car is ready! Great shop! Great people! Impeccable service!

I thought I would come in here to get a tire rotation, which is a free service that they provide four tires that are theirs. I normally go to the one in Concord like I mentioned, but I happened to be closer to this one, so I thought I would take advantage of it. I was told after the rotation that I would need to get a new tire because there was a nail that was unrepairable on one of the tires. No problem, I thought, since I had paid for an extended warranty on all the tires a few months ago. I was led to believe this would come at no cost to me as a result. I also had paid for a three-year alignment previously, which I thought was a good deal. So, Tim quoted me with an invoice that had $136 alignment on it, but he assured me that it will be taken care of because I had paid for the three year alignment. He also showed me that everything else would cost zero. After an hour and a half, I was up sold on an extended tire warranty, which didn't make sense to me since I thought that the warranty would cover every tire, but I figured it would be fine since Tim told me it would cost $41. Then when they were about to give me the keys, I was charged $140 for services. I thought we were all included in the warranty, not to mention, I was quoted at zero. I was charged for taxes on the new tire (even though the tire was zero dollars), mounting and balancing, alignment, a tire recycling fee, and other labor costs. The extended tire warranty was quoted at $62 even though I was told it would be $41. In my mind, I still couldn't make heads nor tails of all of these things. I even questioned them about it. But I had an appointment elsewhere in the East Bay and needed to be on the road and ended up agreeing to paying $140 for a zero dollar service. I would've been happy paying $41 for the tire warranty but lo and behold I paid three times that. Don't come to this place unless you're prepared to get screwed. I recommend big brand tire in Concord if you must go to big brand at all - at least that place I had been going to for years and I know I could have counted on the folks there and could have trusted them not to charge me extra and not to lie to me about a zero cost service. Heck, go to any other tire place if you have to stay in Dublin or Pleasanton. Some tire places treat you like family. This one treated me like a couple of dollar signs.
