Writing this review on behalf of a friend who purchased a Honda CRV from Dublin Toyota. Noori af Dublin Toyota helped us during the sale. Prior to Noori, I had communicated with another sales person who was not too enthusiastic to sell anything or to return my calls. Noori, however, was prompt in returning calls and answering questions. He was candid about the condition of the car and very professional and kind in his interactions. If it wasn't for Noori, we would have probably not bought a car here. This brings me to our experiences at the dealership. The price of the car was great but although the dealership said it had done a basic inspection of the car and had found no issues, within a week of the purchase the battery died and the car needed a jump start. We took the car to the dealership to get the battery checked. Once again we got a clean bill of health for the battery, but then two days later it croaked again. This time Noori promised us to get the issue checked again and if necessary replace the battery. We scheduled a service appointment and explained the issue to Chris in service over the phone before taking the car for service. But when I went in for the service and talked to Chris, he said he knew nothing about the issue. Bizarre !! In any event, this time the dealership replaced with battery and the car has been working fine since then. Overall, I would give 5 stars to Noori but i wasn't too thrilled by the dealership. read more

I contacted many other dealerships prior to contacting Dublin Toyota and was given the runaround. However, after feeling frustrated and annoyed with other dealerships, I called Dublin Toyota. It was "VINCENT" who answered the phone and I could immediately tell the conversation was going in the right direction. My Experience: Vincent was patient and did not speak over me. Vincent LISTENED to me and heard my wants/needs. Vincent then provided me with proposals/opportunities worth hearing more about... Long story short, I met with Vincent at the dealership and he got me exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle. I shopped at Dublin Toyota on 07/04/2018. Satish Chand was our Sales Rep. I asked for Satish Chand because a family member referred him to me, as they had previously purchased a car with him before. We tested drive a couple cars and ended up choosing Toyota Prius Prime Plus (due to many incredible rebates, namely $1,500 rebate from Manufacturer and $750 for College Graduates). Satish Chand was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and patient. When I walked into his office, I saw that he had earned many rewards from Toyota. Through my experience working with Satish, I can attest that his rewards were well-deserved. He was very patient with me, as i had a list of questions to ask him (mainly about different tax credit incentives that CA and Fed had to offer for PEVs). He addressed all my concerns and questions. He also worked with me on a more reasonable price than what the Manufacturer Suggested Sale Price shows. He highlighted some of the key options of the car in Manual and its Warranty. And before we drive the car away, he even took time to show us how to charge battery and some of the key functions that the car has to offer (that was after the deal was closed). I walked away feeling like I had a great deal and received amazing customer service. Ken Tam was also very good in explaining warranty options. He made the paper-work process and signing papers seamlessly easy (e,g.: credit checks, financing paper-works, DMV, and etc). I am not a first time car shopper. I've been to different car dealerships before. This dealership was one of the best i have experienced thus far. Probably the best experience I have ever had at a dealership! I went in knowing I wanted to buy a 2018 c - HR and trade in my Scion. I had been to Antioch Toyota earlier in the day and they weren't even willing to talk to me about my trade in because my husband wasn't with me. I went home feeling defeated and then decided to try Dublin Toyota since they were doing a cash back deal on the model I wanted. Walid greeted me upon arrival at the dealership and made the process so easy! He showed me the different colors they had available and since we already knew this was the car we wanted I didn't need to test drive or anything. I had a pre-approval for financing so really all we needed to do was the paperwork and the trade in. They ended up offering me$1,000 more from my trade-in then Antioch would even suggest they could give me and I was able to use the cash back to pay off the rest of the loan on my Scion and still have a little left over for the down payment. They were even to able to beat the financing offer I had with the same bank, and I even got a letter after the purchase was done that I got an even better deal than what I signed for! The only issue I really had was when we got into Finance to sign all the documents. It seemed like the guy that I got was really knew and didn't really know what he was doing. I already been there for 5 hours with a fusay baby so we were all ready to go home and he was just really slow. He wasn't very pushy about all the extras that they try and tell you which was nice, the only Annoying Thing was that I had asked him if he needed to see my pay stubs that I had brought with me and he said he didn't and then called me the next day to tell me that he needs to see my pay stubs. I will definitely be recommending whoever I can here! read more

Absolutely horrible. I spent $60,000 on a new 2020 Supra, and they gave me only 1 key. I have since returned 5 times from San Francisco, that's 1 hour+ taken out of my own schedule each time. I am still on the search for my second key. But this is absolutely ridiculous, and I have never experienced such horrible service in my whole life. read more

Yesterday my fiancé and I went in looking for a Toyota Tacoma. And I just got to say Umesh Chand, our salesman, was the best! We let him know what we were thinking of buying and showed us exactly that and after talking to us he brought up some good points and being we will be having this truck for a long time we took his advice and got a Tacoma that was a little different than we originally thought of getting. He was also super great at showing us the features, walking us through setup and gave us highlighted sections in the manual so we would know exactly where to look for the information in case we forgot. The other highlight in our experience was the quick, informative, and efficient time we spent in finance. Our finance person, Manny Garcia, was friendly and did an awesome job of explaining what we were signing at each step of the way. Manny also showed us all the options we had for maintenance and warranties plans. He answered all the questions we had about maintenance plans and protections. Not to mention wrote down quick notes about what we got so it would be easier to remember. Overall both of these guys made our car buying experience fantastic!!! read more

Too many issues to count: 1. Bought my van from Toyota roughly 2 years ago, there were 2 recalls - airbag and sliding door, and I was never notified because Toyota failed to update my info in their system even though I bought the van from a dealership itself. 2. In regards to the service center, I came in at 7pm to fill out an additional driver form w my husband since we had to put into a car rental, and they closed their garage door on the roof of my van, refuse to pay for it saying I was trying to skid in last min which is not true. Its a drive through service center w speed bumps, no one monitored the garage and just closed it, damage is on the top of my van and I was on the speed bump w no visibility or foresight that someone would close a garage door on a car without looking. Who does that in a high traffic area? I've never had a ticket, violation, nothing, I'm 9 months pregnant, due in 10 days, w two toddlers in the back and my husband sitting in the back since we have the airbag recall, and they were negligent enough to close the garage door on the roof of my van. I notified my insurance and am taking them to court. The manager in question who refused to pay for damages was Marcus Mendiola, and then the other associate Harold accused me of trying to sneak in there...a 9 month pregnant woman, with 2 toddlers and my husband, as if endangering my family's life and my unborn child were that critical. My blood pressure went through the roof. I have 0 tickets, a spotless DMV record, went in for a simple oil change to make sure my car was properly maintained before I had a child, and had to deal with some very arrogant Toyota associates who are not taking ownership of their negligence. I will never bring my car back here, except for the recall which they have to fix, but they will not get a dime from me for their mistreatment and negligence. I wished I had read the other negative reviews prior, but I never could have imagined that the Toyota service center could be this unprofessional and negligent. 3. David Gallego, another service manager responded to my yelp review, I called twice in a span of 2 weeks, never recieved a response. If you want to be stuck in a bad deal look no further than Toyota of Dublin. I walked out with a 2020 corolla hybrid for a very good deal and affordable monthly payment, but was curious about potentially upgrading to the Camry hybrid although I wasn't 100% sure about it. I came in on a Tuesday night around 8:30pm, 30 minutes right before closing. A guy named Raj said that I could switch from the corolla to the Camry if I wanted to, but it was never made clear that I would only have 2 options of cars to choose from, and it was never made apparent that the cars were used. The manager lance said that the vehicle has driven and used by a manager but it was still "NEW". From my understanding a new car is one that has never been used by another person. It's funny how they were so easy to make a "special exception" on taking back the corolla hybrid and putting me into the Camry hybrid because they're the only ones winning from that deal. I the consumer ends up loosing thousands more because I was sold a car under false pretenses. During the whole ordeal for the Camry I was under pressure to make a huge financial decision with only 20 minutes until closing. As soon as Raj heard the magic words "okay" after going back and fourth about the deal he went home a couple minutes after and the manager lance also left shortly after. I was sitting there alone in an empty dealership second guessing my decision, but my car keys were taken right away for my previous vehicle and there was no one there other the the finance guy so at that moment I felt like there was no turning back anymore and I had to go through with the deal even if I didn't want to. I was also never suggested to purchase the 3 day return warranty by the finance guy he just kept asking me to signs papers pretty quickly. I find it interesting how they are so quick to jump the gun and help you make a financial move that only puts money In their pockets. I came and spoke to the manager lance personally and he said there was nothing he could do for me even though the first time he made a decision within seconds because he knew that they were going to make a lot of money off this sale. I also asked to speak personally to him but he remained seated with other people around which overheard everything and made me very uncomfortable which was very unprofessiona If you are looking for a dealership that values customers and treats them like friends and family, this is not the place to come. Look somewhere else and save yourself the headache of being pressured to make a decision in such little time and being pressured/scared to walk away since they hold keys hostages. If they were so inclined to give me a special exemption the first time why could they do it again. It doesn't seem "special" when it benefits the customer and not them. *********UPDATE TO BUSINESS MANAGER******* 1. I messaged on Facebook inquiring about potentially switching to a different vehicle and the sales person said that he would make the special exemption only if I showed up that same day 30mins before you were about to close. 2. I did explain doing a voluntary repo on the previous vehicle because I believed it was a bad deal, but I ended up in a worse one. I told the GSM that I might have to do a voluntary repo on the new but not new since it was "USED" Camry hybrid since it was not a good deal financially and I was pushed into that sale. 3. I don't why the sale person is saying I wanted to return the vehicle a 3rd time for a time?? That is also a LIE!!!. I wanted to return the the Camry and cancel that deal and take my previous car back with the same terms as when I left the first time. ****UPDATE TO THE RESPONSE***** I also have text and conversations saved of the situation and the events that transpired. It would be a good start if they started by apologizing instead of blame shaming the customer. I'll be the bigger person for now and talk to higher management about the issue maybe they'll be of some help and not just blame be fore something that wasn't only my fault. read more

From beginning to end, the worse customer service experience. The person helping us was seemingly annoyed right at the beginning. Afterwards, we were sitting down and looking at costs. I understand that they are under pressure to make sales but perhaps they should consider their method of selling. The initial sales man was pushy and condescending. When we were struggling to make a decision, they even brought over a manager who was even more condescending. "1+1=2, do you get that? What if I went to your workplace and took away $3,000. Don't speak yet, let me finish talking." Really unbelievable for someone at management level to speak like this. So yeah, we left and bought the car from another Toyota dealership for a better price even though this place claimed that we can't find a better one anywhere else. My husband was buying a Prius hybrid. He decided on one that had the features that he sought. We started doing the paperwork. We were signing the finance work. We put down a huge amount of cash on a Prius that was listed at 35,000 grand. They redid the paperwork that I didn't see. The had us sign the paperwork. Going out the door that car cost us 50,000. I put down 25,000.. I now feel like we got taken. So, we still owe 25,000. Why are dealers so dishonest? I feel like they all do this. I really wish I Can say something nice... I keep passing by this dealership on my way to work n this was the first dealership I went to in search of my commuter. First sales person that shook mine and my mom's hand was really nice... but another gentleman swooped right in... which I thought it was weird... but I told him what I wanted and he from there just started this snowball effect of negative after negative... I know distributions isn't the best since the pandemic... but, again this was my first place I went to... so he took us to the used area... but before us getting down of his go-cart he takes around of the whole dealership. I wasn't sure what that was the point of that bc there were no cars in the area he was taking us... when we finally got to the used area to get off... it was just more "this one is too high for you!" I even tried to hint him to just leave my mom and I alone so we could talk, but it was just more negative. My mom finally made a comment "I wish we could see inside the car" he wouldn't even open the cars. I even made a comment about just test driving what I wanted, but nope. Bought a used car here 11 months ago. They gave it to me with an empty gas tank. Less than a year later it won't start properly. The battery is malfunctioning. This is a 2015 Camry. Car was with Dublin Toyota dealership less than a year ago. The car is only 4 years old. Battery doesn't work. It should last longer than 4 years. Did they switch out the newer battery for an older one? I don't know. So when I asked if this battery was covered by the 1-year extended warranty I was happy to hear them tell me over the phone it was covered. They scheduled the service appointment and I showed up. Now they tell me after I got here that it's not covered. Drove an hour in traffic. My advice is go to a different Toyota dealership. read more

As communicated back to Dublin Toyota, the fact is that I am unhappy not just with your service advisor but with your service as well. I am surprised that you did not get it from my email. Everything that I posted online is backed by solid facts that you probably don't want to acknowledge nor want to listen. I wish they train you better in responding to customer complaints. Your Service Manager was conveniently ignoring the available facts trying to prove an opinion of his choice. Sounded quite illogical. Communicated this back to him. * Michael Cornelius mis-behaved with me. He was continuously shouting me down, not listening to what I have to say and he hung up on me... You may not want to acknowledge or apologize for it ..but it is a true statement. * I am not in the habit of slandering people.. This was my first interaction with Mr. Cornelius. I have never written a review about any other dealership or service advisor. My review was prompted by his arrogant behavior, lack of customer-facing skills and outright disregard for customer perceptions... and nothing else. * The vehicle did not have any sound nor any indications of a bad catalytic converter, when it was given for service. Catalytic converter cannot go bad overnight. We reported the issue immediately after taking the vehicle out of Service. * You are saying "Your convertor may still be working to perform a smog test but it has nothing to do with whether its rusted or not. " - Michael C repeatedly said that it will fail a smog test, until I contradicted him, offered to show the proof of smog test, at which point he backed off. The point here is that the vehicle developed a weird sound, after your service, which was absent before. * You are contradicting yourself . You are saying Dublin Toyota has been servicing this vehicle. May I ask you, has your technicians ever reported a bad catalytic converter, the bad sound or rusted exhaust pipes, in any service reports before?? No, they have not because the problem did NOT exist before. It was caused by your bad workmanship as part of this service, in spite of your assertions on the contrary. * May I correct you? You state that " vehicle spent the first HALF of its life in snowy upper Midwest states " is indicating an oversight of math. I bought the vehicle in early 2001 and moved to California in early 2007..That is only 6 years.The next 12 years the vehicle spent its life in California. 6 years out of 18 years is not half of its life...it is only ONE-THIRD of its life ... The Service Manager states that he has 20 years of service experience but I didn't see the professionalism of a seasoned service professional. Stating one's point repeatedly and conveniently ignoring facts will not make your arguments any stronger. The overall response shows an immature approach and support for an arrogant service advisor who is yet to learn how to speak courteously to a customer. In addition, the service manager made an unsolicited initial offer which was 25% off for repair (without quoting the original price) but changed his mind by rescinding the offer in 30 min! He further states that "we have the right to not welcome you back for service in the future. ".. His approach is laughable at best! read more

If I could give this service department (one tech in particular) a lower rating, I would. I took my Toyota in here a few months back for an oil change and also to complain about a rough idle I had been experiencing. The tech literally got in the car and drove it 10 feet and told me he couldn't replicate the issue; even after me telling him it's an intermittent issue. I'm no fool, I do know my car and I grew up in a family of mechanics so to be dismissed because I was a female and to be talked down to in a condescending way was beyond maddening. Fast forward a few months and I receive a "Warranty Enhancement Notification" stating that these cars have been reported as experiencing a ROUGH IDLE caused by internal carbon deposits in the combustion chambers which could lead to the vehicle needing to have the cylinder head cover replaced. Guess I did know what I was talking about. ALSO, when I bought the car and they sprayed it with that seal jet crap (DON'T EVER OPT FOR THIS) there was so much over spray and white residue all over the car (inside and out) that I had to take the car back AGAIN to the dealership to have them clean it off and I also had to have the plastic replaced that goes over the gauge cluster. They didn't have that in stock so of course they had to order it and I had to make yet another appointment. When I went back - again - they broke the part before they were even able to install it and just wound up wet sanding the original plastic piece, cleaning it and then reinstalling it. Give me a freaking break. I wont even start about how slow their service department is. They should be called the Disservice department. Keeping the car all day for an oil change? Right. So, two thumbs down to Dublin Toyota and two middle fingers up. read more

First I'd like to thank Dublin Toyota in general since the whole experience was positive, but we spent 95% of the time working with Derek. Derek was very helpful, honest, and responsive from the moment we contacted him online for a used Toyota RAV4. He was very honest and up front about everything and even let us know that our preferred vehicle had sold instead of letting us think it was there and wasting our time the next day. He never once gave us the feeling that he was pressuring us. He really was interested in getting us what we wanted in a way that worked for us. Everything seemed to be only about getting us the best value. Brought my car in for a 5K mile service. The process of getting an appointment is super easy. Just go to the website and choose a time to drop off your car. If you work in the surrounding cities (Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore), there's a courtesy shuttle every hour. They will also pick you up later when your car is ready. Super convenient! I dropped off my car around 7 am and took the shuttle to Pleasanton at 8 am. While I was waiting, there was a comfortable waiting room with bagels, coffee, and tea. I was told that my car would be ready around 2 pm, but it was ready even earlier at noon. I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely take my car back again. read more

I came here as my first stop to look at plug-in hybrids, specifically the Prius Prime. Upon parking, a salesman was standing in my path to get to the dealership. I stated my reason there was simply to test drive the car, however I was informed that they usually only would get 1 or 2 a month and they would get sold very quickly since they were "hot" and thus I would have to put a deposit down in order to get one on the lot (in a month from then) just to be able to test drive it. I hadn't done my research at that point by calling ahead or calling other dealerships and should probably have done this first to avoid the wasted time. When I thanked him for his time, I asked for a business card and he could only offer me his phone number to plug into my phone which I was not exactly excited to do. Of note, I called Livermore Toyota 5 minutes later who stated that they had a few Prius Primes and were able to set up an appointment to test drive an hour or so later. I have always had faith in Hondas and Toyotas but the brief sales experience here made me cringe to come back. read more

They sold me rear drum brake cleaning and adjustment. Problem is, my car doesn't have rear drum brakes. I questioned this, but service advisor and coworker confirmed that my car did have drum brakes and I trusted them. This is either deceitfulness or incompetence. This toyota has one of the best customer service yet. I have been to other toyota dealerships and no other has been as helpful and patient with me. Manny Garcia in particular was very helpful with the whole finance process. I don't have much knowledge on credit and loans but he walked me through everything and did not fail to answer any questions i had. Others would have jumped at the opportunity to make a better deal to benefit them, especially knowing I had little to no knowledge on trading in a car. Window installation by Dublin Toyota was not done correctly. Found lots of broken glass inside the door as well. Shoddy incompetent work, and on top of that, they tried to sell me repairs that is not needed. Stay away!!! read more

I purchased a Sienna 2017 brand new car couple weeks ago. After a week transmission got problem. I went service to understand problem they realized an other problem and took the car. After 2 weeks they return the car and it looks they changed ECM and transmission is still in problem. They were very smiling during selling but when I went to ask about the problems they were very rude. If you are lucky buy from this dealer but if you got a problem after you purchased a car they gonna be very rude. Do not trust these guys. My first Toyota experience was perfect and I was expecting same experience but Dublin Toyota completely disappointed... Dec 28, 2017 - my aunt decided it was time to replace her Mazda 6 (15years old)... keep in mind we live in San Jose so it's about a 30min drive . After spending time in several local dealerships and been treated bad. We decided to venture into the east bay and see what was available there. I had a WONDERFUL experience with Bobby Mesina yesterday! The entire facility was social distanced, wearing masks, sanitizing and offering hand sanitizer. I went in just to look at the RAV4.
