Built my own and yes, "THE BEST PIZZA IN AUSTIN, TX" I met Bruce and he will take care of ya! I am a pizza Connoisseur! My new weekly stop! Check it out! Very Clean!

Jon J.

It was delicious, fast and great customer service. Pizza was hot and fresh. Quick stop before my flight. $7 slices but worth it before a flight

Moquita Q.

I love the crunch of this pizza. All their pizzas are thin crust, New York Style pizzas and they hold up and don't flop. I do wish their pizza sauce carried a bit more of the herbal and garlic flavor as the cheese was expected to carry the entire pie. The venue reminded me of a 70s style diner. It was very clean and well kept. They have a variety of hand held desserts such as brownies, cookies, bars. They have a decent array of local beers to choose from as excellent pairings to the pizza! The staff was very friendly and they give a service member discount. I ordered their jalapeno sausage slice and their pepperoni slice! They are good so I would recommend this place overall.

18" Smors so good!

My family and I love the thin style pizza at East Side Pies as it gives us more ability to enjoy the delicious toppings without filling up so quick. Today we got a 18" SMORS which was plenty for us and we'll enjoy the rest later while watching football. This location on Burnet is closer to us and has friendly and efficient staff. We fly a lot and it's also a tradition to get a slice at the Austin airport location before flying.

Great pizza ! Will definitely be coming back. Really liked the customer service as well.

Build your own pizza! Mozzarella cheese, black olives, green bell peppers, double slice
Lili S.

East Side Pies is a tiny and hopping place. After perusing Yelp reviews for good pizza joints, I stumbled upon East Side Pies. I created my own pizza: whole mozzarella, black olives, green bell peppers. This pizza tasted like childhood: it sent me back to pizza parties in elementary school and birthdays at Chuck E. Cheese. I am excited to try their pizza again and support a local business. I also think they have cool pizza boxes!

But by the time my friend arrived about 1:10 the line had disappeared and the crowd was quickly thinning out. I had the farmhouse club and my friend went with a salad (I forget which one). My sandwich was absolutely delicious and I cleaned it up. His salad was enormous and he couldn't finish it. He had enough leftover to take home for another meal. Neither came with a side but they are available for purchase. The restaurant is bright and cheerful inside with plenty of seating. And the staff are very friendly and eager to assist throughout the meal. The only downside is their prices being a little high for the type of setting so one star off. I will probably return anyway for the delicious sandwich. But I wish it came with chips!

The space…read morehas been through several different restaurants over the years, including Oakmont Cafe and Doc's. I've been for both lunch and dinner, and lunch is clearly the peak time, which makes sense given the sandwich, salad, and soup menu. It feels built for the midday lunch crowd. The kitchen runs very efficiently, the line moves quickly, and online ordering is very easy. It's counter service, but I've taken meals to go a few times and everything traveled well. As of February 2026, it still has that brand new restaurant feel. The interior is bright, clean, and modern, and there's a ton of outdoor seating. However, you are just off 38th Street and across from the Seton medical complex, so al fresco dining may not be the quietest experience depending on traffic and time of day. Overall, a great addition to the area for lunch (or dinner).

Had not been to this restaurant in a good while, and was a last minute decision. Good choice. The whipped feta is always a treat -- light and creamy with a solid feta taste, but not overpowering, served with a few orange slices and thinly sliced almonds, and pita. Special dish! Beet salad excellent, but the Fresno peppers had way too much heat, so pushed them to side. My wife had the Moroccan curry, which had a very spot on Moroccan flavor (been there 3x), and was a large, filling portion so brought home leftovers. I had the grilled pork chop which was large, perfectly grill with a tasty bourbon-based glaze, served with a large roasted garlic clove. Wonderful dish. My wife had a white wine that she enjoyed and my martini, slightly dirty with olives (to start) was a large pour and very smooth. Enjoyable meal in a nice setting once again ...

This place is so intoxicating from the aqua blue color palate and funky green art work to the alluring lighting and huge metal plate (looks like something from a ship...also their logo). My brother said the green artwork looked like broccoli. My brother ordered the Idaho trout with coconut rice and Brussel sprouts. I sampled his food and it was all good. The standout was the Brussel sprouts...crispy with this absolutely delicious drizzle. I ordered the Mezze plate with a flavor explosion and many desirable texture. It had lamb kabobs, fresh salad (emphasis on fresh) with thinly sliced cucumbers, finely sliced onions and creamy feta (never had creamy feta), red round sweet peppers, hummus with the most delightful pesto like sauce, and olives. Oh my...what a delicious lunch! Morgan, our server, was attentive and accomodating. She moved us to another table when we notice our table was rocking a little. Great catching up with my brother and excellent meal!

We always order an extra side of the focaccia bread for her because it's so good and a guaranteed win every time. Our usual order never disappoints: the Caesar salad is an absolute must, along with the margherita pizza and the spicy mushroom pizza. On a recent visit, we branched out and tried some of the pasta, which was also excellent. We also tried the potato pizza recently and loved it just as much as everything else. Honestly, I'm convinced you could order anything on the menu and never be disappointed. Everything is consistently delicious and thoughtfully made. As an added bonus, it's right next door to an ice cream shop, so after Bufalina Due we almost always end the night with ice cream next door, which makes the whole experience even better. Lastly, the service is always great and ambience is enjoyable. I like that the brick oven is inside of the restaurant. We ended up ordering 2 drinks. 2 small bites and 2 unusual banh mi's. The drinks were good, then we got the small bites. Mango salad and shrimp skewers. we got the salad first which had a horrible flavor that neither me or my boyfriend could do, so we set it aside. we did eat the crackers that came with it. it was good. Then we got the shrimp skewers, which came and looked black. We decided to give it a try anyways, it was horribly overcooked. like rubber wouldn't even describe it. so we didn't eat it either. i ate the cucumbers that came with it which were good. We finally got the banh mi's which were ok we ate it but nothing special. Then came the time when server came to ask if we're ready for check. We ended up mentioning that we hated the salad and the shrimp. still untouched on the table. she said to give her a moment. and we sat and waited for 10 minutes. while they were talking about us and them saying "they did touch the shrimp" (yes we took 2 bites to try it obviously, then we didn't touch it afterwards) finally after 10 minutes they bring us the check. which they didn't take anything off of. so we paid $70 for 2 banh mis. left hungry with a horrible experience. We were still thinking of coming back just to grab some drinks cause they looked good. but after voicing our complaints, then those complaints ignored. Never again. Horrible.

***SMOOTHIE ONLY REVIEW***…read more I'll be honest, Yelp: I most sincerely had reservations about The Soup Peddler. Reason: The menu reads sort of average and practical. Why buy stuff I could make at home? When I spend money, I'm paying for a hit of culture and flavor. This economy is crazy. You've gotta choose wisely. I can save money and do average at home. HOWEVER, I was on a mission for a real pineapple and kale smoothie, and Austin has been inconsistent with this. Juice-Land makes mistakes with substitutions (they don't have it on the menu) and Smoothie King is an "all over the place" expensive hot mess caught up in a boycott, so here I found myself. I ordered the Tropicalia (24 oz): mango, banana, pineapple juice, lemon, kale, spirulina. Solid lineup. But I don't like juice substitutions when you can have real fruit, so my *ONE ASK* was to please add real pineapple on top of everything. Add actual pineapple, not just juice. They said yes!!! No extra charge. And that's where everything changed. This tasted CRAFTED. This tasted INTENTIONAL. Winner. WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER. This is easily the BEST smoothie I've had in Austin. That I've had ever. Ok, Erewhon in LA has been the best. But this was fresh, bright, and clean. Sweet without tipping into sugar overload. The pineapple flavor popped and was balanced by the earthiness of the kale and spirulina so it felt refined and it didn't feel like a juice bomb. Perfecto. Service was straightforward. Pleasant and efficient, not over the top. It works. But the point is I came in skeptical and I left planning my next visit. I want to try everything. If this smoothie delivered then I have high hopes for the rest of the menu. Forgive my doubts.
