HIGHLY recommended!! If you're in the area - definitely stop in. You will NOT be disappointed. Always great music, outstanding staff, easy parking in Lakewood Village. Top tier treats. And definitely some the best coffee in the area. The owners are LOVELY people, too - so you can feel pretty great about supporting their 14+ year coffee adventure

Really cool spot close to Long Beach City college. Drink menu has a good amount of options. The baristas are nice, offering good service and I got chance to meet the owner, Peter, who's super chill and serves the community proudly! My iced green tea with lemon and honey was excellent and refreshing. As I was here, I can tell the customers are community regulars who love coming here and have a relationship with this cafe!

Came here for some pastries and they were pretty much sold out with only one donut and bagel remaining. Their donuts are plant based & they have a great selection of flavors. I can see how these sold quickly. I was looking for something on the savory side but they didn't have much so I ordered a coffee and got some work done on the patio. The WiFi was able to reach outside with no problems. The shop is facing a main street so it can get pretty loud with cars driving by but honestly it didn't bother me. I ordered an iced horchata latte. It was pretty good. The small latte comes with one shot of espresso, medium comes with two, and large comes with three. For milk options they have soy, coconut, and regular.

A pretty chill, dog-friendly coffee shop with local artwork and a lively patio view. Real chill vibes music. Limited seating. Friendly staff, and they love to love to connect with the community. Horchata Latte - very good, smooth and rich blends, not too sweet

A dependable spot. Chill, small, good selection of drinks and snacks. Staff is still friendly and easy going. Parking in the back or on the street. Or walk over from the park across the street.

My mom was excited to take me here and we went and she was right - it is like hipster, traditional coffee place so dont be expecting anything too complicated. It is a small place but one of those places that you want to sit and enjoy your coffee and read or study or hang out. Big couches & some tables, very cozy. I got the london fog latte and my dad got the chai latte. We all loved our drinks. Service was polite and everything came out speedy. Their bagels and donuts look homemade and really delicious i wish i hadnt had breakfast.

First time visiting... needed an afternoon pick me up. Tiny little shop but lots of drink options, a few food items, and a big comfy chair to lounge in. They even have a shelf with books to enjoy while you sip. The staff were friendly and helpful. The London Fog tea latte sounded good but I opted for something safe this time, a cappuccino, with lo fat milk. Their Coffee is organic but the milk is not. They do have non dairy options, too. The drink was smooth and tasty. (Later, I saw in their cooler that they use the Brand "Silk", which is the only almond milk I like, so I will have to try that in my next latte!) I was not really hungry but intrigued by their vegan donuts, "handmade in Long Beach". I tried the tiramisu one and WOW!! One of the best I have ever had! Small and nondescript but so much flavor! Dense but not heavy, very moist and just mildly sweet, which is the way I like my donuts. Worth the $3.50 price for me. Their bagels are huge, and the egg salad sandwich they advertised sounds divine (next time!) Drink prices are somewhat high but for the quality I would like to support them at least once in a while! They are part of the little group of retail shops and restaurants off of Bellflower and Carson. I was walking, so did not have to deal with parking.

Iced horchata latte was just what I needed on this hot summer's day!

Eco Coffee is the neighborhood cafe you've been looking for! Although the interior is small, it beckons you in with the jazzy instrumental music and the eclectic art throughout. It's also very clean and the furniture doesn't have that sticky feel that other coffee places sometimes do. You definitely get the sense that this is a popular hangout, and Peter is familiar with many of the patrons. I ordered the iced horchata latte with oat milk and it's wonderfully smooth and cinnamon-forward (as it should be!). It tends to get busier around 3:30 in the afternoon, but service is easygoing and friendly regardless. Seating on the green chaise sofas is very comfortable and it's a quiet environment for getting work done or some leisure reading. There's a small parking lot behind the cafe and restroom is in the back for paying customers.

Stopped by for some coffee on a weekday afternoon and coffee was disappointing. System was down so they preferred cash, good thing I had cash! It's a very small shop, minimal crammed seating inside and a little bit more spread out seating your side. Server was nice. It's coffee that I feel is on the pricier side for a coffee shop, maybe because it's organic? I ordered the Toffee Nut Latte with almond milk and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. The syrup they used was so artificial tasting and odd. I feel like it was supposed to be a caramel like flavor but it was giving hints of the way recycled cardboard smells. It tasted better when it watered down. Also it was such a small serving for almost $8, and it didn't even taste good. 2/5 Overall, coffee was disappointing and just not worth the price unfortunately. Maybe I got the wrong thing here but I'm not planning on coming back anytime soon.

This is the very cool owner of eco coffee! He's the best! So friendly & kind!

My 2nd time visiting this cool little establishment, & it was even better than the 1st! Peter, the propeitor, is extremely polite, friendly & accommodating. Starbucks? Never again! I am now a loyal & satisfied customer! The smoothies are super delicious & healthy. It's the kind of place you just want to hang out for a few hours!

the drinks were very good! i couldn't recommend the horchata latte enough, most places don't get the cinnamon flavor in without it being overpowering but this drink was perfect! my bf loved the MGT, he said it was perfectly sweet! the service was welcoming! i loved the energy of the place!

Besides, for the next (insert the duration of your cruise here) days you'll be eating at the buffet a least once a day. No need to start Buffeting it up before you step foot on the Lido deck. That's what brought us to 5th Ave Bagelry. Located less than 1/2 mile from our hotel, it was an easy walk down the surprisingly un-busy streets of Long Beach, CA at 9:00 on a Thursday morning. 5th Ave Bagelry has A LOT of varieties of bagels. To put a number to it, about 25 different varieties of bagels, all made fresh on site daily. Add to that, 8 different flavours of cream cheese and you've got nearly endless bagel-and-cream-cheese options. To be fair, you're not limited to bagel & cream cheese. They also offer breakfast bagel sandwiches and non-breakfast bagel sandwiches and a few specialty items. Even though it was 9:00 in the morning I was tempted to try a pizza bagel but I resisted. The siren song of a jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese wins out every time. (This is a proven statistic. Just ask me.) They also offer an endless variety of coffees in just about every possible fashion (latte, espresso, iced, iced blended). Smoothies, juices, and soft drinks round out a very impressive selection of offerings. The staff at 5th Ave Bagelry appeared to be very focused. While they weren't swamped when we visited, they did have a steady influx of customers. It's an order-at-the-counter-and-we'll-call-your-number-when-it's-ready arrangement which seems to work well for them. All food is delivered in a paper bag. Our food delivery was about 10 minutes and everything was hot and accurate. My iced vanilla latte was exactly the go-juice I needed to jump start embarkation day. My jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese? Chef's kiss. I love jalapeño bagels that present a little spicy heat. The jalapeño cream cheese managed to round out my "Jim loves spicy food for breakfast" life choices. During our roughly 1/2 hour there I didn't see anyone come out from behind the counter to tidy up the dining room, which was needed. I'm assuming they had a pretty intense breakfast rush and just hadn't fully recovered yet, as one of the two trash bins was full. In a perfect world I'd be able to visit enough to try all of the bagels, but home isn't in Long Beach.

My single favorite bite of food was a scallop I had from Heritage so I know Chef Petty knows how to prepare seafood. The octopus was delicious. It was similar to Spanish octopus but topped with a bright salad green oil/sauce that gave it a different kick. This is probably my second favorite octopus in all of LA. I wish there was a bit more of the octopus itself, but it was still delicious. The beans and potatoes on the dish were great complements. The service is attentive and quick. You can eat inside or out on the patio, I opted for the latter since the clay pottery was outside. Either way is lovely. I definitely want to come back for more events! The only downside is parking is TOUGH. Be prepared to circle for a bit.

I've had worse. Much worse. I've also had much better. And understand his is my personal opinion. I'm well aware that my comments will not reflect the opinion of everyone. But, the corned beef. They do not cook it in house. It didn't appear to be a brisket although with it being shaved as thinly as it is I don't know if that would help. Brisket corned beer works best when it's nice thick beautiful cuts that break apart and melt in your mouth. But. As you can see in the picture, they don't grill the corned beef but they do pile it pretty darn high. Which is nice. The sauerkraut wasn't grilled. The rye wasn't roasted long enough so the Swiss didn't properly melt and set. Not enough Thousand Island dressing. The rye has the perfect texture and it helps to very nicely. An excellent Jewish rye! The pesto pasta salad was very nice. And it looked as if the other sides were made with an equal amount of attention and love. So high marks there. This is one of those tough reviews because the reality is the atmosphere, the staff and the location are all excellent. The sandwich needs some work. Remember that the Grilled Reuben is the ONLY TRUE American Sandwich. It was created from scratch for the 1942 World's Fair in New York City. It's an original! Treat it with the respect it deserves. And this three star sandwich... of all sandwiches is a hard pass. Sorry. But, if you would ever like to have me come into your restaurant and show you how to serve the best Reuben of your life... just invite me back. I'd love to show you how to make some simple tweaks and turn a meh into a don't miss!
